PetSafe 100 Yard Remote Trainer
Remote-controlled dog training collar system
Our take on the PetSafe 100 Yard Remote Trainer by Crutchfield's Eric Angevine
Train your dog with a remote control collar
We train our dogs because we want to keep them out of trouble — to stop anything from aggressive behavior around children to running onto a busy road. The PetSafe 100 Yard remote trainer offers a great way to associate verbal commands with a physical reminder, even when you and your dog are not side by side.
The collar device administers three types of training stimulation: an audible "beep" tone, a vibration, or static stimulation. The two-button remote sends a wireless signal to the collar from up to 100 yards away, so you can get your dog's attention before he does something embarrassing to you, or dangerous to himself.
If you think static correction might be needed, but you want to keep it to a minimum, don't worry — there's a built-in safety lock for static levels 8-15.
There's even a 100 Yard Trainer Lite version that offers mild static correction for smaller, more anxiety-prone breeds.

Why Shop With Us?10 Reasons.
Overview: The PetSafe 100 Yard Remote Trainer consists of a rechargeable training collar that can deliver three types of stimulation, and an ergonomic hand-held remote with an LCD readout. The collar and remote are waterproof so you can train your dog in any weather or conditions. The collar is designed to fit dogs 8 pounds and up, with neck sizes up to 21" - 22". The system includes the Training module, mounted on a nylon collar, remote, a USB charging adapter, short and long contact points, and a test light tool.
Operation: The PetSafe Remote Trainer helps you communicate with your dog via signals from the remote to the training collar. When a button is pushed on the remote, a radio signal is sent to the collar, communicating the correcting signal. You can choose one of three training options: tone, vibration, or static stimulation. The trainer has a range of up to 100 yards. Trainer Dimensions: Length 2.684", Width 1.389", Height 1.387" (including contact points).
Remote: The remote has separate buttons for delivering tones and vibration/static to the collar. You can vary the level of stimulation using the two buttons on the side. Level 0 is vibration, while levels 1 through 15 are static stimulation. The higher levels (8-15) are locked out to prevent delivery of high static stimulation accidentally. (Unlocking requires a two-button action.) The LCD display indicates which type and level of correction you are delivering. The remote has a rechargeable battery with a battery level indicator in the display. Remote dimensions: Length 4-9/16", Width 1-9/16", Height 1-1/8".
Charging: The training collar and remote are both powered by rechargeable batteries. A USB charging cable with dual 2-pin plugs is included. This allows you to simultaneously charge the collar and remote. Fully charging both batteries takes approximately 5 hours.
Test Light Tool: The included Test Light Tool lets you safely test the training collar stimulation. The contact points fit into the Test Light Tool, and when static stimulation is delivered to the collar, the test light will flash. The tool can also be used to tighten the contact points.
Recommendations: The PetSafe Remote Trainer can train your dog with safe and harmless corrective stimulation. With three types of stimulation, you can choose what works best for your pet. Not all dogs are the same. You should always start at the lowest level and work your way up until you find the "recognition level" where your dog begins to notice. If your pet vocalizes or panics when receiving stimulation, the level is too high, and you should go back to the previous level.
Note: A "Lite" version of the Remote Trainer, which delivers a gentler static stimulation than this "standard" trainer, is available for sensitive or small dogs (see item 481PDT6030).
