Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Overall this is a solid choice for a surround speaker stand. The stand is sturdy, meaning it is not cheap metal in the least...actually kind of heavy. It is visually appealing and can fit among most any home decor. I really like the cable concealment it offers, however when the cable exits the bottom of the chute you have to somewhat sloppily wrap it around towards the front of the stand and fish it under the couch...at least in my case my couch isn't against a wall, the speaker wire is not completely concealed at the bottom of the stand, and it travels over the base of the stand rather than cleanly under it. It's base of support is not quite as sturdy as I'd have hoped but I have no pets or kids so that is not a major concern. It'll rock a little if you knock into it but it shouldn't tip (again it is quite heavy). The top base where the speaker sits is large and allows for a decently sized speaker to comfortably sit on it. However, all the stand comes with to secure your speaker is two strips of double sided tape...for large and more expensive speakers I'd like more security to keep my speakers safe from falling by accidental heavy bumpage. Assembly isn't terrible but it could have been better. The instructions are lacking, the fit of the base of the stand is very tight, and it required some strength to make everything fit properly in order to insert the screws in place. Overall, I would recommend this stand to a friend. It suits my purposes excellently.
Pros: Stylish, study, wire concealment
Cons: Slightly tough assembly, securing your speaker
