This was installed into my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500.

Pros: Lots of extra wire left over. True 4AWG wire, very flexible wire, the audio signal cables are double insulated

Cons: The fuse holder is large

Good enough for what I need

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Powers my 2400 watt kenwood amp which power my 2 12" 500 watt rms Audiobahns. The 80 amp fuse is holding up, though I haven't heard to many good things about it. Cheap and easy to replace a fuse if it does go bad.

Pros: Cheap, 4 gage wiring as advertised

Cons: Fuse housing is massive, like 6 inches long

Good quality kit

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Each item included in this kit is very high quality. The main power wire is very flexible and has durable insulation, the insulation could handle heat a little better but it's better than a lot of the wire that I've seen. The audio signal cable is an excellent quality and is also shielded. The fuse housing is a solid investment as well. And there isn't too much to say about the on/off signal wire, but it is plenty long and that's what I needed!

Pros: Power wire is flexible and has durable insulation Audio signal cable is shielded solid fuse housing long on/off wire (~15 feet I think)

Cons: Insulation does well with heat, but could do better.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Decent for price

Pros: Price is good and works great for the job.

Cons: Fuse is very large and difficult to hide efficiently. I would expect this from a 120+ amp fuse but not an 80

Easy as it can be

great kit

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

not too much to say here about a aftermarket sub/amp install kit...the kit had everything advertised. i used it with a mtx500.1 mono amp and a JL10" 500W RMS sub. the kit does not come with speaker wire, though i already had speaker wire, so that was not an issue for me, but it's worth noting. i did need to additionally purchase a LOC (line out converter) to tap into the rear factory speaker wires to get signal for the amp. i got the Scosche LOC80 also from crutchfield. both have worked flawlessly together. i'm very satisfied. i gave 4 stars because i don't give 5 unless i can find/get the product for a slickdeal/sale.

Pros: long length of wires, included zip-ties and connectors

Cons: no speaker wire included.

Stranded copper. I never even used the included L/R audio cable. I ran my lightning amp as 5 channel. The lightning 5 channel amp is amazing if you are looking for a great price and want a nice solid sound, and not just some crappy bass thumper. So with what's included in the kit is ONE set of L/R analog cable. It worked great for me. Just finding a place for the fuse holder was a problem. Honda Ridgeline. Very tight engine cabin [ justyn  Oct 29, 2014 ]
stranded copper. very flexible. works fine. soft rubber coating. can be gouged easily with sharp metal things, but I'm a welder and my standard of comparison is 1/0-3/0 black jacket welding cables. should do great for regular stuff. my amp is old school with 90a fuse and I don't push it and have the safety fuse at 80a and cable works fine even in DC heat.
