Add the convenience of hands-free calling to your compatible 2009-up Alpine car stereo. Alpine's KCE-250BT Bluetooth® adapter, powered by industry leader Parrot, lets you answer incoming calls, place outgoing calls, and scroll through your phone book entries without ever touching your phone. You can leave your phone in your pocket or purse when you get in the car — it connects automatically when you turn on your stereo.

When a call comes in, your stereo mutes the music and you'll hear the caller over your speakers. The included microphone uses Active Echo Cancellation technology to ensure that you'll be heard loud and clear on the other end.

The KCE-250BT also works with select 2008 Bluetooth-ready Alpine stereos with the help of the KWE-460 connecter cable. Check the "Details" tab for compatible models.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Part finder says this fits certain models however, you also need to purchase an Extra adapter which is not mentioned.

Cons: Customer support was of no help which surprised me considering my previous history with Crutchfield and great experiences.

Crutchfield response on 3/30/2015 We're sorry that you're unhappy with your experience. We're not sure what you mean by "part finder" - we don't have anything like that on our site. We do specifically call out that Alpine stereos from 2008 need the extra cable. Our customer service rep offered to send the cable for the same price it would've cost to include it in your original order. That's the best we can do in this case.

crutch field is awesome

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I messed up when I bought this and bought the wrong adapter....this doesn't support media streaming. Just phone calls. But you can find apps that will push audio threw the speakers. Anyways I called alpine to see if there is some way to bypass it ( before I found the app) and they basically told me the only thing I could do is buy a new I hung up and called crutch field. They talked with me. Knew more about the product than alpine did. They told me they didn't have the adapter I needed but helped direct me to a different website that would. And then told me that he would help me do the return on everything if I was going to buy a new stereo. So when I found the new stereo I was buying on amazon I quickly went to crutch field and bought it from them instead knowing that I would have the best customer service. Thank you crutch field

Pros: It works......just not the way I wanted

Cons: Out of date's cheaper to buy a new stereo with Bluetooth now than to just buy this

Not for iPhone :(

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

i purchased this bluetooth addition so that i could talk wirelessly but also to stream music without having to plug in my phone every time, after installing i tried to connect it to my iphone 4s and it was successfull however when i pushed the phone button on my ida-x305s it goes to the phone menu and freezes and i have to take the face off to reset it the only way it works is if someone calls me i can answer and talk and end the call but any thing i try to do as far as out going is impossible and when i go to the bluetooth input it says no connection. I have not tried to call customer service because i get out of work after they have closed but i googled the issue and they had page after page of complaints with the same issue and from what i have read the iphone firmware is the issue with it not pairing up correctly but all i can say is if you have an iphone this is not for you at least until an update comes out to fix the problem. P.S. Crutchfield has an excellent customer service center when i do have time to talk to them they are very helpfull i am not talking bad about them this is solely a software issue and i wrote this review only to warn people about the problem i hope something comes out soon because i would really like to use it .....Thanks Joe!!

Pros: phone calls are clear with no echo

Cons: only works when it wants to

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Connected to my digital media receiver IDA-X303 & mytouch 3g by HTC phone works fine even voice dail.make sure you connect the pink/black wires. Only problem is with phones genius button some time i have to push voice dail 2 times to connect not kce-250bt related.

Pros: Easy to install to IDA-X303 digital media receiver if you take it to a pro should not cost much money at best 1 hour labor

Cons: no problems @ this time

Does Not Work

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have the IDA-x305s and this is the unit recommended by Alpine. It does not work anywhere near well enough for it to be of any use. It paired right after install and I tossed the box, unfortunately. It pairs once in a dozen tries if I'm lucky. Alpine tech support was rude and useless. I double checked all connections, then called them back and they actually told me to try turning my phone off and on until it connected...that's convenient. For a technology that works in an earpiece the size of a quarter you'd think this would be able to handle it but apparently Bluetooth is too much for Alpine. Update 12.20.2011 - I just wanted to add that Crutchfield has amazing customer service (would give more stars, but they're for the product). Someone contacted me in response to my review to arrange an exchange even though it has been installed and missing the box. I will obviously continue to buy products from Crutchfield for a long time, as service like that is rare.

It should work fine as it connects to the ANET port in your head unit. The 350 will also work. The main difference is the 250 will only work with the phone section of your phone. It won't play music from your phone through spotify, or any other music based app. You would be better off playing music through the USB port anyways. With that said it's an excellent phone Bluetooth module. It even accesses Siri on iPhone through the head unit. Hope this helps. [ PETER J  Mar 20, 2015 ]
