Our take on the Soundstream VDVD-210 by Crutchfield's Ken Nail
Add video, even when space is tight
If you want to add video capabilities to your vehicle, you've got a couple of choices. You could change the stock receiver to a DVD or multimedia receiver — but that may not be a good solution if you like your radio or space is tight. But by adding a stand-alone DVD player like the Soundstream VDVD-210 to your system, you can make it happen. And in many cases you may prefer to go with a stand-alone player — for example, it might be just the choice for you if you're putting a system into an RV. Just add a screen and amp and the VDVD-210is ready to go as the heart of an in-vehicle A/V system — and at a very attractive price, too.
Brackets for a variety of mounting options
The ultra-slim VDVD-210 offers plenty of utility in a small package. You can mount it in a 1" tall dash opening, or use the supplied brackets to mount it on a variety of horizontal surfaces. It comes with a remote control with an IR repeater so you can take charge of the system when it's not in the line of sight. In addition to the front DVD slot, you'll find a convenient USB input, SD card slot, and A/V input — if you're not watching a movie, you can check out vacation photos, listen to MP3 music files, or plug in a game system.
