Another plus — the RP4-GM31 adapter eliminates the need for the steering wheel audio control adapter that's usually required for your vehicle, saving you some cash. See Details for a list of compatible car stereos. Warranty: 1 year.

Please enter your vehicle information or call an Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this adapter is compatible with your vehicle.

Important Note: This interface does not retain your vehicle's OnStar functionality. You'll need PAC's OS-4 interface to keep that safety feature working with a new car stereo.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The RadioPro4 (RP4-GM31) is a radio replacement and SWC (steering wheel control) interface that comes pre-loaded with amplifier retention and SWC software, navigation based output signals, and firmware that retains all of the vehicle's original safety and convenience features when replacing the factory radio with an aftermarket head unit.

Functionality: The RP4-GM31 interface allows the replacement of a factory radio in select GM vehicles with the CAN-bus system. Using this interface will retain factory features such as steering wheel controls (SWC), rear seat entertainment (RSE), rear seat control (RSC), the factory Bose amplifier, and Warning Chimes whenever the original radio is removed. In order to retain rear seat entertainment (RSE), you will also need the PAC GMRVD GM Rear Seat Video Retention Adapter (127GMRVD, sold separately). The RP4-GM31 also provides data bus driven outputs such as retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed sensor (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger, and parking brake.

Note: The RadioPro4 (RP4-GM31) does not retain OnStar. For OnStar retention, please use the PAC OS-4 (127OS4, sold separately). If your vehicle is equipped with a digital amplifier, you will lose fading capabilities when the new aftermarket radio is installed.

Vehicle Compatibility: The RadioPro4 (RP4-GM31) is compatible with select 2006-up GM vehicles with  databus radios. Compatible vehicles as of 7/13/2012 include:

Q
I've got a 2012 Impala. With the crux interface I'm currently using I've lost the warning chime when I lock the doors using the lock button on the door. Any clue if this interface would restore that feature?

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
Is there a way to adjust the warning chime volume with this or get rid of them completely?

A
Yes there is, to get the door charm I had to install a speaker specifically for the chime and onstar. To adjust the volume of the charm remove the head unit and the volume acceptance knob is on the back right. To verify before removal what head unit and vehicle is this instaled in?
james  Jan 10, 2014
A
No I don't think you can do either.
zachary  Jan 09, 2014

I taped a piece of cardboard on the chime to achieve a slightly lower volume. Had to experiment a little but eventually got my desired volume. Piece is hidden so I didn't worry about how it looks. 07 NBS Silverado Crew Cab
