Rockford Fosgate has earned a well-deserved reputation for building high-quality mobile audio products. Their Power Series amps occupy the top of the amplifier food chain, with fine-tuned audio controls, extreme durability, and proprietary technologies that deliver stronger, more reliable performance than most other amplifiers on the market today.

The T1500-1bd puts out 500 watts of continuous power to your single 4-ohm subwoofer, or up to 1,500 watts to a low-impedance sub setup. The Punch EQ circuit offers a variable bass boost, so you can adjust your music for your car's listening environment. You can depend on clean, powerful sound from your Power Series amp.

The award-winning "Dynamic Thermal Management" 3-stage cooling system uses forced air to dissipate heat evenly across the amp and out through the heatsink for cooler internal components. "Differential Input" circuitry helps eliminate any electronically induced noise or hum that could be picked up by the input cables, allowing only clean signals to enter the amplifier.

This Class-BD amplifier combines the best features of traditional Class AB amplifiers with the efficiency of the Class D design for lower distortion and less power draw — you get more music with less heat and noise in a stylish package that's up to 40% smaller than previous models.

Wow. New, like the old!?!

OS from NewBoston, MI on 1/29/2014

I have this amp (T1500bdcp) & a (T600-4) running a set of rockford punch pro 6 &1.5's, RF fanatic q 5.25" components 2 pair & a pair of T1 12" dual 4ohm subs in a 6.39ft3 box in my navigator. I'm running a mechman 240 alt, with a kinetic hc2000 battery in back. My amps birth sheet is reading 1931wrms at 1ohm and it definitely shows! I am using NVX sound dampening material, which is also phenomenal, and my sound is extremely clean and loud. A lot of people go with a whole bunch of subs & really do not have to. Make sure you have a good power supply, the right wires & these amps will not let you down! This is the first "New" RF products I have ran, I've always stuck with my old RF amps & these have not let me down. The mids & highs are very clear, & there is a very good meld between the highs & lows. WELL Worth the money, relatively small footprint. HU-eclipse AVN726e EQ/Line driver- Audio control four.1i 9volt rms output 13v peak Products listed above

Pros: Great sounding amp, Very clean for a sub amp. Big power for the size. Has a older sound that was really surprising!!!

Cons: Feed it what it wants, Power. Highly recommend a high output alt, and a good battery/ wiring system!!!

Great Amp

Anonymous from Sulphur Springs, TX on 6/13/2009

I have this amp hooked up to my T215D4 with a 5 farad capacitor and I can tell you it still dims my headlights. This is a very powerful amp and I was surprised at how small it was. Make sure you buy the remote bass control knob for it especially if you have a stock head unit.

Best amp ever

Shaun from Jonesboro, AR on 5/21/2009

This amp is great. I have it hooked up to two 12 inch kicker cvx's. They are in a sealed box and it sounds amazing. The amp pushes some true power so keep that in your mind when you need wires, also need extra battery or H.O. Alternator. This is a serious amp so, make sure you have some very good subs. Best amp I ever heard, its worth every penny.

This amp is ridiculous

Nick from Columbus,OH on 3/18/2009

I bought this amp a few weeks ago and I love it. It is worth every penny for sure. I have this running at 1 ohm too my two 12" Kicker L7's and ppl can't sit in my car when I have it up. Running 2/0 throughout the car and this thing still dims the lights. I love it defiantly worth buying

Not for beginners

TONIO from MACON,GA on 3/5/2009

I recently hooked this amp up to my 15" to be truthful the sub is a piece of junk but this amp made it sound 10 times better I cant wait to hook it up to my T1 12's after my friend get done with my box Rockford Fosgate all the way

Crazy Power!

cybergerm200 from Chillicothe, MO on 7/21/2008

Rockford Fosgate is just amazing. My first sound system I ran 3 10" Punch HX2's off a T5002 amp. It hit incredible. You could barely sit in it. When that was stolen from me, I had to look into a new system. Fosgate had just came out with this amp so i decided to buy it. The birthsheet says 1836rms @1ohm. I have this baby hooked up @1ohm to 4 10" Punch p3's and wow. This baby hits. I have the loudest sound system by far in my area and thats with it turned down. When I turn the bass knob up and keep the bass on the cd player down still, every window and door flexs when it hits. If my car were sealed up well I think I could easily blow out windows. If you want a system that just shouts performance, go with this amp!

small amp big bang

bang2loud from youngstown,ohio on 7/9/2008

i have one of these pushing 2 t212d4 and it bangs hard my birthsheet says 1714 watts into 14.4 volts but we all know those arent real world voltage unless you have a kinetic 16 volt battery and there charging systems real world voltage 13.5 to maybe 14 volts so i say i can get a good 1500 to 1600 clean watts i have 2 batteries and rockford 1/0 power and ground wire from the alternator all the way back to the secondary battery and my headights still dim so i know its a powerfull amp

Overview: With its super efficient Class-BD circuit topology, the Rockford Fosgate Power Series T1500-1BD assures maximum power output. Due to its dedicated low frequency response, this amplifier is optimized for mid-bass speakers or subwoofers only. The amplifier is 1-ohm stable (1,500 watts x 1) and will drive a pair of 4-ohm DVC subwoofers or quad-configuration of 2-ohm DVC subwoofers with ease.

Class bd Design: Rockford Fosgate bd topology is a revolutionary patented design, integrating a technology that is more efficient than typical class AB and has lower distortion than class D designs. POWER bd amplifiers are 75-80% efficient vs. 20-60% efficient class ab amplifiers. This means, more power from your amplifier with less drain on your vehicles electrical and charging system.

Low Impedance: The T1500-1bd is 1-ohm stable and outputs 1500 watts RMS into a 1 ohm load.

Cast Aluminum Heatsink: The cast aluminum heatsink dissipates heat generated by the amplifier's circuitry. The inherent advantage of casting provides a 30% improvement of cooling over conventional extrusion heatsink designs.

Dynamic Thermal Management (DTM): DTM Evenly distributes excess heat across entire amplifier heatsink.

MEHSA³ (Maximum Efficiency Heat Sink Application-Third Generation):MEHSA is a Rockford Fosgate proprietary process that increases the heat transfer from the MOSFET devices to the heatsink. The multi-layer insulated metal MEHSA substrate operates with minimal thermal resistance, spreading heat both downward and outward to quickly dissipate heat from each device across the heatsink. This allows greater power output, enhanced thermal stability, and maximum reliability.

Trans-ANA (TRANSconductance Active Nodal Amplifier): Trans-ANA is a circuit that allows the audio signal to pass through the amplifier at low voltage. The signal is directly level-shifted to the fixed high voltage rails via a pair of drive transistors. Signal linearity is assured by an active node formed by the drive transistors at ultrasonic frequencies. The result is crystal clear sound quality.

TO-247 MOSFET: The Power T1500-1bd utilizes ultra high performance MOSFET output devices, giving the amplifier more power handling capability as well as lower thermal impedance for more reliable operation, even under the harshest load conditions.

DSM (Discrete Surface Mount): In the manufacturing process high speed robotics are used to place 1% tolerance parts and large board traces. DSM improves the efficiency of the circuit, decreases cross-talk from other discrete components and lowers operating temperature.

Power and Protection LEDs: The LEDs are located on top of the amplifier. A blue Power LED illuminates when the amplifier is turned on. A red Thermal LED illuminates if the amplifier overheats. The yellow Protect LED illuminates if a short circuit or too low an impedance is detected at the speaker connections. When any of the protection circuits engage, the amp automatically shuts down until the problem is corrected.

Internal Crossover: The amplifier's internal crossover has a 24 dB/octave slope. The crossover point is variable from 35Hz to 250Hz.

Punch EQ: Punch EQ acts as a variable bass boost; 0-18 dB at 45 Hz.

Infrasonic Filter: The infrasonic high pass filter is designed to prevent frequencies below the audible range from being applied to the subwoofer from the amplifier, consequently improving subwoofer performance and power handling, particularly in vented enclosures. The crossover point is fixed at 28 Hz, the slope is 12 dB/octave, and the filter can be turned on or off to suit your preference.

Power Connections: The power and ground terminals are nickel-plated captive c-clamp wire connectors and will accommodate up to 4-gauge wire. An external 200-amp fuse (not included) must be installed on the power wire. If a wiring kit is used which includes a fuse with a value other than 200-amps, the original should be replaced with a 200-amp fuse. The remote turn-on terminal will accept wire sizes of 12- to 24-gauge. A Phillips-head or slotted screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.

Dual Speaker Terminals: The Power mono-amplifier features two pair of speaker output terminals so you can easily connect two 4-ohm speakers to the amplifier in a 2-ohm load configuration. The two pair of nickel-plated clamp wire connectors will accept 8-gauge to 18-gauge wire. A Phillips-head or slotted screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.

Note: Although there are two sets of speaker terminals, the amplifier still produces a monaural signal. The A and B speaker outputs are internally wired in parallel.

Differential Input RCA Inputs: The amplifier features a pair of differential RCA input jacks for easy connection of signal level input. Differential input circuitry measures the voltage of both the positive (+) and negative (-) portions of the input signal, subtracting the voltage common to both conductors (noise); resulting in a cleaner signal. Reducing the noise on the input then improves the sound quality of the output. The RCA input jacks are nickel-plated to resist signal degradation caused by corrosion.

RCA Outputs: The amplifier also features a pair of RCA "Pass-Thru" jacks which provide a convenient source for daisy-chaining an additional amplifier without running an extra set of RCA cables from the front of the vehicle to the rear amplifier location. The RCA output jacks are nickel-plated to resist signal degradation caused by corrosion.

Remote Punch EQ (PEQ) Connection: An RJ-45 jack is provided for connecting an optional remote PEQ control (item number 575ROCKPEQ). If you use the remote PEQ, the Punch EQ control on the amp is disabled, and replaced by the remote.

Note: Previous model Punch Bass and Para-Punch remotes will not work with this amp.
