Rockford Fosgate's Punch P300X1 mono amplifier produces up to 300 watts RMS, giving you plenty of clean power for your rhythm track. With frequency response from 20 to 20,000 Hz, this full-range amp can also power a center channel or component speaker. You can use the low-pass filter to tune the sizzle away from your sub, or the high-pass filter to keep the lows out of a component speaker. The Punch EQ2 gives you a variable bass and treble boost, in case you want to add a little of that boom and sizzle back into the mix.

Once again, Rockford Fosgate steps away from the crowd with their C.L.E.A.N. technology (Calibrated Level Eliminates Audible Noise) — a setup system that ensures your music will sound as clean and powerful as possible. It works like this: play the setup tone on the included test CD, adjust the receiver volume until a red clip light on the amp goes out, then turn the amp gain up until a blue light comes on. It's that simple — your amplifier is now set to match your receiver's output. When your receiver reaches maximum clean volume, you'll get maximum clean power from your Punch amp. At quiet listening levels, you'll hear less background noise and more of your music.
If that blue light turns solid red while you're playing music, the amp's telling you that your source is distorting and you should turn it down, or risk damage to your gear. The optional PLC2 remote level control also doubles as a clip indicator, so you can see from the front seat if your music's clipping. The amp's built-in computer keeps tabs on the output current, ensuring that plunging speaker impedances (they change during play) or even a short circuit won't hurt anything.
Rockford Fosgate's Dynamic Thermal Management system uses forced air to dissipate heat evenly across the amp and out through the high-mass heatsink, efficiently drawing heat away from vital internal parts. Their proprietary MEHSA cooling process maximizes the heat transfer from the MOSFET devices to the heatsink, allowing the heat to escape more readily, so the transistors stay cooler and work better.

The 3.sixty.3 setup was a breeze and worked perfectly. My system sounds great!
This is a great little amp I picked up for a truck box install. The built in input and output clipping indicators made setup quick and easy.
Pros: Easy setup Great price Looks sharp and performs well
Good amp, kind of expensive but overall good quality.
I have this setup with a 10" RF sub that sounds great. It is loud enough to rattle my mirror if I want, and full enough of a sound to create a really well rounded sound stage in my truck. Everything from Smashing Pumpkins, Rage, to Jay Z sounds awesome!
Pros: Price point Easy to install & Setup
Excellent value. Clean look. Set up easy and came with a tone set up cd. Matched with a Fosgate sub. Will use again.
Pros: Easy install
Love it, I've been a fan of the Fosgate Punch amps for years and am happy once again. The eq was easily dialed in and provides clean crisp bass completing my audio system. Won't hesitate to buy another Fosgate amp.
Pros: Quality terminals with 2 extra speaker outputs making wiring easier for dual voice coil woofers. Easy to adjust eq settings and looks great. Great bargain for the price.
Cons: No cons for me.
Used to add a sub to my 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen's stock stereo. No line level outputs were available, so I tapped into the rear speaker wires at the head unit. The gain is all the way down and the output is perfect. I can increase the bass level on the head unit or adjust the fader for more or less bass if I want. The sub is in the spare tire. I was looking for balanced bass so I have the Punch EQ all the way down. It sounds great.
Pros: Not too large. Works with line or speaker level inputs. Bridgeable to work with one sub speaker.
Cons: Not many. Would love it to be smaller, but it's got robust heat sinking.
item was shipped very fast was surprised on the speed of arrival. this amp was recommended by the cruthchfield team to power my jl 12 and I couldn't be happier it was cheaper then the jl amp and from use it is a quality product bump all day in the heat and this amp will stay cool under pressure Rockford fosgate didn't disappoint with this one have it on 4 ohms so can't tell if it's 1 ohm stable but it's all the power I need to get mirrors and doors shaking
Pros: inexpensive good quality doesn't overheat what's not to love
Cons: none to state
This is the second one of this amp that I've bought over the past 6 years. Does a fantastic job at pushing my pair of Fosgate 10" P1 subs. Very happy with the results. Crutchfield customer service at fast delivery is second to none.
Probably the best amp ever
Pros: Works like a champ
Love this amp fits right under the seat of my '78 F150 Custom.
Easy to install and powers my JL Audio 10" w3 more than sufficiently. Love its compact design.
Paired this amp with the Rockford Fosgate Prime R1-1X10 and delivers solid power. Doesn't put any strain on the factory electrical system of my '08 Scion tC (i.e. no headlight dimming). Hookup was fairly easy and set up was a breeze if you follow the instructions. Mounted it on a custom amp rack i built to match the sub box.
I love it
have amp hooked up to a pair of polk audio 12inch subwoofers, didnt think amp had enough power to run them, but it do and the bass sounds good.
Pros: good price, sub packs a punch

CEA-2006 Compliant: CEA-2006 is a system of testing and measurement methods for mobile audio amplifiers. This voluntary standard advocates a uniform method for measuring an amplifier's RMS power output and signal-to-noise ratio. The criteria for measuring power uses a DC input voltage of 14.4 volts and the RMS power output is measured with 1% or less Total Harmonic Distortion plus noise (THD+N) over a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (for full range amplifiers). Signal-to-Noise ratio is measured in weighted absolute decibels (dBA) at a reference of 1 watt into 4Ω. CEA-2006 allows consumers to compare car amplifiers and receivers on an equal basis. Using CEA-2006 criteria, the Rockford Fosgate P300X1 is rated as follows:
Cast Aluminum Heatsink: The cast aluminum heatsink dissipates heat generated by the amplifier's circuitry. The inherent advantage of casting provides a 30% cooling improvement over conventional extrusion heatsink designs.
Dynamic Thermal Management (DTM): DTM evenly distributes excess heat across the amplifier's entire heatsink.
MEHSA³ (Maximum Efficiency Heat Sink Application-3rd Generation): MEHSA is a Rockford Fosgate proprietary process that increases the heat transfer from the MOSFET devices to the heatsink. The multi-layer insulated metal MEHSA substrate operates with minimal thermal resistance, spreading heat both downward and outward to quickly dissipate heat from each device across the heatsink. This allows greater power output, enhanced thermal stability, and maximum reliability.
Trans-ANA (TRANSconductance Active Nodal Amplifier): Trans-ANA is a circuit that allows the audio signal to pass through the amplifier at low voltage. The signal is directly level-shifted to the fixed high voltage rails via a pair of drive transistors. Signal linearity is assured by an active node formed by the drive transistors at ultrasonic frequencies. The result is crystal clear sound quality.
NOMAD (NOn-Multiplying Advanced Decision): NOMAD is an intelligent protection circuit that uses an analog computer to make real time decisions regarding temperature, voltage, current and impedance. The amplifier is protected without limiting sound output unless needed.
DSM (Discrete Surface Mount): High speed robotics are used in the manufacturing process to place 1% tolerance parts and large board traces. DSM improves the efficiency of the circuit, decreases cross-talk from other discrete components and lowers operating temperature.
CLEAN Set-Up: Rockford's integrated level setting technology, CLEAN (Calibrated Level Eliminates Audible Noise), replaces sophisticated test equipment with input/output clip LEDs, allowing you to match the source unit's output to the amp's gain, and optimize the amp's output. The input clip indicator works in conjunction with the audio source volume, illuminating red when the source reaches it's clipping point. The output clip indicator works in conjunction with the input level dial on the amp, illuminating the appropriate color depending on the audio content used for the setup.
Power and Protection LEDs: The LEDs are located on top of the amplifier. A blue Power LED illuminates when the amplifier is turned on. A red Thermal LED illuminates if the amplifier overheats. The yellow Protect LED illuminates if a short circuit or too low an impedance is detected at the speaker connections. When any of the protection circuits engage, the amp automatically shuts down until the problem is corrected.
Balanced Differential Inputs: Differential inputs eliminate noise picked up by signal cables by measuring the voltage of both the (+) and (-) input signal, then subtracting the voltage common to both conductors (noise), resulting in only the clean signal entering the amplifier.
Input Level: To accommodate the varying range of signal levels from today's factory and aftermarket radios, the input level is adjustable from 150mV to 12V.
Crossover: The amplifier's internal crossover has a 12 dB/octave slope. It can be set to high-pass, all-pass (full range), or low-pass operation and the crossover point is variable from 50 Hz to 250 Hz.
Punch EQ: Punch EQ works along with the crossover switch. When the crossover is set to low-pass, the Punch EQ acts as a variable bass boost; 0-18 dB at 45 Hz. When the crossover is set to high-pass, the Punch EQ acts as variable treble boost, 0-14 dB at 12.5 kHz. When the crossover is set to all-pass, both the bass and treble boost circuits are active.
Power Connections: The power and ground terminals are nickel-plated captive c-clamp wire connectors and will accommodate up to 4-gauge wire. An external 50-amp fuse (not included) must be installed on the power wire. The remote turn-on terminal will accept up to 12-gauge wire. A Phillips or flat-head screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
Speaker Connections: The two speaker outputs are internally wired in parallel, making it easy to connect two subwoofers. The speaker terminals are also nickel-plated captive c-clamps and will accept up to 8-gauge wire. A Phillips or flat-head screwdriver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals.
Signal Input: The RCA inputs will accept either a line-level or speaker-level input. A speaker-level signal can be connected using a Speaker Wire to RCA adapter (sold separately). When using a speaker-level input signal, the auto turn-on feature is active and the remote turn-on terminal becomes a 12 volt output to turn on/off up to two additional amplifiers or other components.
Line Level Output: The amplifier has a pair of RCA line level pass-thru outputs to feed another amplifier. The pass-thru output is passive (the same signal present at the amp's input) and the amp's crossover has no effect on the signal.
Punch Level Control (PLC): An RJ-45 jack is provided for connecting an optional wired remote PLC2 (item number 575PLC2, sold separately), allowing remote control of the output level of the amplifier. A second RJ-45 jack is the PLC output, used to daisy-chain additional amplifiers controlled by a single remote.
Note: Previous model PEQ, Punch Bass, and Para-Punch remotes will not work with this amp.

Hello, I currently have mine powering 2-8" subs and it works good. Hard hitting bass. [ MARK Aug 10, 2017 ]
I have one driving a 300 watt sub. I've never had a problem, but I've only had it a few months. One good thing is here is a thermal protection circuit in this unit. If it gets too hot, it shuts down. Good luck. [ Charles Feb 23, 2015 ]
It's a very dependable amp it always runs cool under pressure from hard pounding subs. It has a light on it that will let you know if it is close to overload or distortion protection . Plus if you get the bass knob for this model it too has a light that does the same thing so you can have your amp in your trunk or out of sight and monitor your bass knob in stead because they work in sink of one another. I hope you choose this amp you will love it too. [ DAVID W Feb 23, 2015 ]
It does get pretty warm... after installing this AB unit- it actually fried a couple days later. Go with the class D. My much older RF amps still push fine and this "new" one is a paper weight now. Not impressed and do not recommend purchasing this amp. [ Anthony Feb 23, 2015 ]
