Average Customer Review(s):
I am very pleased and satisfied with this subwoofer. For me an excellent brand and premium sound.
Pros: For me premium sound
SUCKS! Speaker was blown and had to be returned. Very disappointing!
Pros: Low cost
Cons: Speaker was blown. Outside was torn. Had to return, hope the next one is better.
Great for a small room, I love it!
Installed in a '17 Cherokee and I am very pleased with the bass response. It is a very musical sub when tuned correctly. Do not be afraid to install in larger vehicles.
Pros: Looks cool, fantastic sound in a small package
This sub is real nice. Everyone says that can't be one 10-inch it thumps in a big car.Perfect match with the r500 amp
Pros: Small with BIG sound
Cons: Not a one
First sub install in ages. Before, I always went with 2 12s. I was shocked and amazed the punch this baby offers. It was put into a 2015 Mazda 6 (non-bose). As my fellow non-bose 6 owners know-bass severely lacks even after replacing the door speakers! But, not anymore! BEYOND SATISFIED!
Pros: Great price, more than sufficient power, simple, color and fit matches my Mazda 6 trunk perfectly
Nice little sub! I installed this in my 2015 Elantra and it sounds very nice. My car is pretty compact and this sub rattles my trunk when at full volume! I don't have much space in my trunk and this sub and box doesn't take much space at all! If you are interested in this subwoofer, I highly recommend buying it as part of the bass package. This set up is perfectly matched for easy set up and compatibility.
Pros: Size, power is great for entry level system, looks great!
I bought the speaker amp combo. Wired it speaker level to my factory stereo subwoofer outputs. No anc promblems with the honda system. Sounds better than my last stereo that cost 5 times as much
Pros: Cost. Easy to install, almost to much deep bass.
Great little subwoofer for the price, provides nice clean, crisp bass in my 72 Chevelle with a 500W mono Rockford Fosgate amplifier hooked to a RetroSound Long Beach receiver.
Pros: Easy mounting, good sound, solid connectors
This sealed enclosure with sub seems solidly built, and has some nice weight to it. I bought it because the dimensions were about what I was looking for. It was my first sub enclosure and I'm super happy with it. Paired with a 300w amp, and tuned to the best of my abilities, it sounds great. Installed in a ford explorer, where one of the rear seats was originally located ( i removed the seat). This combo doesn't blow out your windows or cause any crazy head-turning vibrations, but I can feel the bass through my car seats at higher volumes. Otherwise, even at low to mid volumes, it throws enough bass into the mix to really put out some quality sound. It fills my car nice and that is what I was going for. If you're looking for something to turn heads with earth shattering and powerful bass, look elsewhere. If your looking for a responsive sub that hits all notes with clarity, this one does a great job. I listen to rock/reggae/and a little rap. It all seems to sound great.
Pros: Price, size, sound
Cons: None for what it is
This sub/enclosure was received as part of a Crutchfield Rockford Fosgate 300watt bass package that included a 300watt @4ohms, Rockford fosgate Prime amp. Sub is rated for 200 RMS and the amp is producing 300 watts against a 4 ohm load. This sub almost never distorts. I drive it and it performs tight, and deep bass. It is evident that the enclosure was engineered by RF around this specific sub, I love this sealed enclosure. It is awesome. As usual, Crutchfield customer service is second to none.
Pros: Deeep and powerful lows. Quality sound with a good dose of power. Great on space in the trunk. Plenty of bass for a middle aged guy. Nickel plated speaker posts will accommodate up to 12 awg wire (which I used).
Amazing quality for price. I paired it with a boss amp. And it sounds good. If your looking for thumping bass this is not it. I would get a ported sub. But for long low tones it is perfect. fairly small to fit small cars. It's not amazingly cool to look at as it is small and only 10 inches.
Pros: Small Cheap good quality Low power draw Amazing long and low tones
Cons: Small Not amazing at thumps Light enough it slides around Only 10 inches
Awesome sound out of a budget setup. Powering with a Rockford R500x1d that it came with in the bass package Crutchfield has. Very impressed with how good it sounds.
This subwoofer is perfect for my Toyota Camry. I added a complete system from Crutchfield but needed more bass. I purchased this subwoofer as part of the 300W Rockford Fosgate Bass package. The product match is simply awesome. Earth shaking bass with no distortion. I'm totally pleased with this product and would buy Rockford Fosgate again in a heartbeat!
Pros: Clean, crisp, kick butt bass. I love the sealed enclosure sound versus the ported boxes. I listen to rock music and this baby produces solid bass that shakes the whole car.
Cons: None. I simply love the size and sound for my Toyota Camry trunk.
I am powering this subwoofer with a 100 w Clarion amplifier and it has plenty of punch. The sealed enclosure provides crisp clean bass from the trunk of my 04 Jetta. Following a bit of tuning from the head unit sub controls, it sounds great. I particularly liked the shape and size of the enclosure for trunk installation.
Pros: Perfect size and quality build
Cons: Needs a grill or other means of protection to protect the driver cone.
I added a PPI Ion 640.5 amp [60x4 + 200 watts to mono sub channel (all 4ohm ratings)] to the factory 2016 Toyota Camry head unit. I also replaced the factory speakers with 4 RF 6x9's and a pair of RF 3.5 in dash. It sounded pretty amazing. People couldn't believe I only had $220 in all the speakers, and a $140 amp. But the more at listened to it on the road, the more I wanted more bass. The Prime R1 seemed like it was straining...especially on modern recordings of pop songs. It sounded a little warm, almost like the cabinet was too big for the driver---sort of under-damped. I ordered the next one up 2 10" so I could present a 2 ohm load to the amp (sub channel rated for 350w at 2 ohms). It sounded better, but required a lot of tweaking depending on the material I was listening to. Jazz, classic rock...excellent. Modern recordings with sustained deep bass notes? Uh, not so good. best $87 10" sub in an enclosure I ever heard though.
Pros: A very good value. Decent sound, though unremarkable. What do you expect for $87?! Typical, reliable Crutchfield delivery.
Cons: A little 'wompy' sounding....too warm. Peaky response at certain frequencies in my car. Required more 'fiddling' between songs than I have had with other subs.
Pros: nice sound
Cons: needs a protective screen over subwoofer
Paired this sub to the Rockford Fosgate Punch P300X1 amp and it can hit hard. I have it in the back of my Scion tC and it sounds great. It delivers nice solid, crisp bass rather than the booming, reverberating bass from ported enclosures. I was a little torn deciding between a ported or sealed enclosure since I listen to a variety of music but mostly rap and electronic/synthetic music. I couldn't be happier with my decision on this sealed enclosure.
Pros: everything besides con
Cons: no grill
Great sub for my daughters small car
Pros: Price, sounds great and all you have to do is plug in the wires
I have had 12's that didn't produce frequencies as low as thus 10. Usually to produce low notes you get some muddieness. This 10 is tight and clear!

Enclosure: The Rockford Fosgate Prime R1-1X10 is a sealed enclosure constructed of 5/8" MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard). The enclosure is covered with high density black carpeting. The sealed enclosure features high current compression terminals on the left side of the box (when facing the woofer). The terminals will accommodate up to 12 AWG speaker wire and present a 4-ohm load to your amplifier.
Woofer: The R1-1X10 enclosure is loaded with a single Rockford Fosgate Prime R1S4-10 subwoofer. The R1S4-10 is a 10-inch, 4-ohm single voice coil subwoofer with a fiber reinforced painted paper-pulp cone and compressed foam surround.
CEA-2031 Compliant: Power handling on the Rockford Fosgate Prime R1S4-10 subwoofer conforms to CEA-2031 industry standards. This means the subwoofer has the capacity to handle its rated power under continuous demand, not instantaneous power handling, that over time, can damage voice coils.
