Small Stereo Large Quality

Joseph from Oswego New York on 8/25/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've had good success with Onkyo products in the past and this certainly does NOT disappoint! This is a great radio for a small room and the capability to use on line streaming makes it even better. The sound quality is excellent and a pleasure to listen to. Great small stereo and if I had more small rooms, I'd buy more of them!!

Pros: Small, fits in a small area. Great Sound!! Versatile! Internet Streaming, CD player too. I can listen to my favorite FM radio also!

Cons: Hmmm, not free?? Not fair, no Cons!

Not really happy with this purchase, after considering comparable Denon and Yamaha units. Wanted to use the optical audio input to connect with our new Samsung curved screen TV, but that feature still doesn't work--even on the second, replacement Samsung. Also ordered the Bluetooth adapter, and it's taking MONTHS to ship. Other minor nits: For this cost, it should include Bluetooth, longer speaker cables, better radio reception. It's pretty, but sad that even fairly high end electronics just don't work as well as advertised. Sigh.

Excellent sound and great features packed into a small footprint. The documentation is a bit thin on network setup / requirements, but all-in-all the system performs as advertised.

Pros: Sound quality

Onkyo CS-N755 receiver/speaker system

Stephen P. from Kansas on 5/16/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This system provides fine, rich sound from the receiver/speakers (both built by Onkyo). Tuner sensitivity pulls in distant (i.e., urban) stations; speakers present music as well as radio stations with clarity and range of sound. This system appears to be of audiophile quality (I've only been with it for a few weeks, so these are my first impressions). For CD & radio-tuner use, this is a fine system (I don't have network or other connections, e.g. satellite radio). A bass boost is built-in to the receiver so for a smaller/compact space, I find no need for a sub-woofer ( the rear apron on the receiver supports output to a sub-woofer). The supplied 75-ohm FM antenna works well. So far, I like the unit; its' not too difficult to operate, although I do suggest reading the operating manual thoroughly and then using it to guide a user through the various options. In its arriving condition, the unit was well packed (double-boxed by Crutchfield, too, to protect during shipment); one speaker came with a scratch on the top, which appears to have come from the factory. It is cosmetic and I can live with it. Overall impression on limited use: a well-designed amplifier/tuner/speaker system, to support high quality listening experiences. Not inexpensive--but worth it for the sound quality.

Love it!

Onkyo CS-N755

Rob from Florida on 6/28/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

5 stars for this unit. Also bought the USB Wi-Fi adapter. Had the unit connected to my Wi-Fi network with 15 minutes of opening the box. Sound quality is very good. Remote is a little cumbersome on initial set up, but you get the hang of it quickly. Still need to download the Android app for my phone which is suppose to be a lot slicker. Pandora works will, as does the internet radio. FM tuner works surprising well, as I live out in the countryside, 50 miles away from the nearest stations. Good price for all the features.

Pros: Well made. Wi-Fi network connectivity. Lots of features.

Cons: Typing names, passwords, titles with the remote is slow.

great little system

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought one of these systems a year ago for our kitchen and wanted to stream online music. Well this Onkyo has a great sound and does all the things we want. From playing CD's radio or streaming online music. I ended up buying a second one for another area of the house. Functional, well made great sound. And it has the capacity of adding other components. The one niggle is getting the wi fi connection. Its not as user friendly as the instructions indicate. But tech services got me through it. Once on we have had no problems.....

Pros: Great for small areas, sound quality excellent capacity to add other components. Online streaming music.

Cons: Initial connection to the internet is a bit of some effort. The maneuvering of the system to get internet radio is primitive.

Nice Internet-enabled receiver

Listener in NJ from New Jersey on 3/30/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Looking for a bookshelf system that had AM/FM/CD as well as SiriusXM minimum. There are surprisingly few. In addition to SiriusXM, also added vTuner, Spotify, TVersity (DNLA server), and briefly Rhapsody. Everything works so far, and it sounds good.

Pros: * FM antenna input is 75 ohm, supporting better antennas * Lots of Internet options * Good FM reception (with a decent antenna) * Mobile app to manage many aspects of receiver

Cons: * Mobile app could be better at managing Internet services (more like the mobile-versions of the services)

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I considered components vs a mini system, got tired of searching and comparing and after reading reviews for this unit I bought the Onkyo and a Polk sub-woofer. I am very pleased with the sound & it has enough volume to rock the house. I also purchased Pro-Ject phono box & connected an older Technics turntable and everything sounds great.

Pros: Seems well made, was shipped well protected, simple hook up, good sound.

Cons: None

Very Nice System; Better than expected!

Paul S. from the Washington, DC Area on 12/27/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I rarely review producs, but my wife and I both like this Onkyo CS-N755 bookshelf system so much I decided to submit a review. The system was easy to set up. I also got the wrieless adapter which was a little hard to get working and required a call to Crutchfield tech support who got me up and running very quickly. The three best features of this system are the build quality, the sound quality, and the internet radio functionality. The build quality is demonstrated by the CD tray. Ever plop a CD or DVD into a player tray only to feel the flimsy tray bounce beneath your touch? Not on this Onkyo. The drawer is very solid. The sound quality of the speakers is very impressive for the size. there is no booming base of course, but it does have a woofer output. I'm impressed by the spaciousness of the spound. It has depth and fills the downstairs of our medium to large house at a moderate volume level. My wife usually listens to her iPod through earbuds or her decent car stereo. After connecting it to this Onkyo, she said she felt like she had never really heard these songs before. We like internet radio a lot, particlualry the vast range of stations available through vtuner. The implementaiton is well done and it's eady to use, especailly since I can access the receiver via web browser to set uo favorites. The amplifier uplifts compressed music and it sounds great, internet stream or MP3. It's also easy to play PC based music through DLNA.

Pros: Small size with great sound Quality of product Network enabled with loads of internet radio options Vtuner

Cons: Manual could provide better instruction on how to keystorke in your wireless security key

N755 is great

Ed in MI from Michigan on 11/23/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The N755 is a gem and remarkable for its size

Pros: Great sound in a shelf size package

Cons: Trying to use the N755 with the UWF-1 is a nightmare because of very poorly written instructions. It took us four hours to get it working! Even when it is working the user interface with the N755 is poor. The concept is great but the mechanization is poor.

Onkyo CS-N755 Quality and Value

Brian McC. from Castro Valley, CA on 7/16/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great bookshelf unit. After reading some of the reviews I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to set up and connect to my network With the UWF-1 adaptor. Very good sound that can fill a 14x20 room with large entry ways. Only recommendation I would make if you are considering these items is, if you want serious low end bass, you may want to invest in a powered sub. This unit sounds great, but it won't rattle the windows.

Pros: Size, Sound Quality, Ease of set-up and use, price

Simple Quality

Anonymous from Amarillo, TX on 2/6/2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I wanted a small unit for a bedroom apartment. I wanted media flexibility and at a reasonable price range. I was very pleased with the simplicity and quality of the Onkyo. I did add a sub-woofer to broaden the bass sound. I like Classic Rock and was very pleased with the sound quality. I cranked up Led Zep, Who, and Heart and was very satisfied. I have a large CD collection and it plays flawlessly. I also stream Sirius off my Iphone with blue tooth. I found the pairing simple to set up and get going. My blue-tooth does not always work 100% at my local gym. But I have had no issues with blue-tooth on this unit. I only have a Ipod Nano mp3 player and it sounds great plugged in - but its a little cumbersome to navigate artists and albums. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality and price.

Excellent Value

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Was looking for a small system for the bedroom. After reading several reviews and doing some further research online, I decided to go with this Onkyo system, and we're very happy with our choice. This is a well-constructed and thoughtfully engineered system that offers all of the features we were looking for and the sound quality is excellent! Very good value for the money.

Small System with Good Sound

FloydEH from Washington, DC on 12/13/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this mini stereo system for the apartment we're living in for a year here in DC. I wanted something that would produce decent sound from CD's, DVD's and the cable TV. That it also had internet radio capabilities was a plus. As it turns out the system performs as well as one could expect. I read many reviews of similar systems, and had narrowed my choice to this Onkyo unit or a similar Denon system. The Denon was less expensive, and did not have the connectivity. Many of the reviews of the Onkyo suggested replacing the accompanying speakers with something better such as the Mordaunt-Short Carnival 2 speakers. I actually tried to find a pair of the Mordaunt-Shorts when I made my decision to buy the Onkyo but no one seemed to have any in stock. As it is, I'm glad that they didn't. In performance, the Onkyo exceeds my expectations. It is solidly built and sounds as good as it looks. While the Mordaunt-Short speakers may provide better sound than the stock speakers, I am more than happy with the sound of the stock ones. The sound is full and pleasant when played at a reasonable volume. Music played too softly becomes thin and wispy, at a reasonable listening level the sound is quite pleasant, full and life-like, with pleanty of imaging and good separation. Set up was relatively easy and simple, and operation is quite easy. The only marginally difficult part was setting up Spotify, or any other internet radio. The manual is quite useless in this regard.

Pros: Good sound for the money, stock speakers more than adequate, very flexible, easy to set up and use. I recomend downloading the remote control app for your iphone or android.

Cons: The manual is useless when trying to set up any of the networking functions. It's best to search the web for instructions and hints from others who have already done it.

Small package with big delivery

FranHB from Huntington Beach, CA on 11/17/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this system for my husband for the holidays. i wanted something that could neatly fit in our kitchen. He does a lot of cooking and likes to listen to the news, music etc. We also have a wireless router in the house for our computers and I thought getting access to the streaming radio stations on the net would be a great plus to a music system. Well this one does not disappoint. I took the time to review what others had to say so let me put my 2 cents in about this product. First, it has a great sound, I dont have an ear for minutiae, overall the use and clarity of the sound is definitely good enough for our use. Second, it has a USB dock for our iPods and can also play CD's as well as stream music from the net. We can also make flashdrives for special music mixes (holiday stuff) that can be easily played on the system. Have I said it has a great sound? Overall, its a great versatile music system. Would highly recommend. I must also say that one of the reviewers said they could not get the wi-fi to work. I will say that the instructions with the system are awful. And You will need to buy a wireless LAN adapter. The instructions with the adapter to connect also are not very good. But I will say that the techs at Crutchfield got me online without an issue. The downside is that the net connection is somewhat primitive and not very easy to maneuver but it does work and I have had no problems once I figured it out.

Pros: very comprehensive music system easy to install great speaker sound

Cons: Connection to the internet may require a call to tech services Be sure to buy the LAN adapter if you plan to stream music

Great sound, great features, great value

Eric G. from Albany, NY on 4/17/2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this system after being disappointed in a Bose Wave III system (sounded pretty good for a compact unit, but didn't sound as good as other systems for the price). I bought this one partly on the basis of an expert review. I've only put a few hours on the Onkyo so far, but am really impressed with the sound and it packs a ton of features into a great package for the price. I'm an old-school guy and listen to a lot of old rock, blues, soul, etc. Lots of guitars, bass, drums, keys & vocals. The sound is clear and natural, and I love the Direct Out feature that lets you bypass its built-in EQ so you're getting the pure EQ of the recording from the studio. The sound is also good when using the EQ, though I found the highs a little spikey and the bass a little strident. Not bad, but I like it better bypassing the EQ. As the speakers are breaking in the highs are getting a little warmer and more natural. The speakers and unit itself are heavy for their size and seem solidly built. This seems like the kind of equipment you can expect to last a long time. The FM tuner is very good, and is pulling in stations with crystal clear precision that were fuzzy with the Bose. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Pros: Great sound & features.

Cons: Rear USB doesn't seem to let you use it as an input Some settings require navigating through several menu choices iPod can't be controlled from the iPod, you have to use the Onkyo's controls and they're not as slick as the iPod's.

Audio Section

Symmetrical Designed Power Amplifier: The Onkyo CS-N755 is equipped with a 13 watt x 2 channel amplifier. Its symmetrical and uniform layout minimizes the chance of interference between left and right channels.

WRAT (Wide Range Amplifier Technology): WRAT is based around a low negative-feedback circuit topology that works to reduce signal noise and distortion across the frequency range. A "closed ground-loop circuit" design is employed, in which each circuit has a separate link to the power supply. This helps to cancel individual circuit noise and keep the ground potential free of distortion. High Instantaneous Current Capability (HICC) enables WRAT amplifiers to immediately cancel the speakers' reflex energy and instantaneously send out the next signal. The same high current better manages speaker impedance fluctuations, which can negatively affect performance.

3-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry: 3-Stage Inverted Darlington Circuitry is a core Onkyo technology incorporating a low-NFB (negative feedback) design that makes the sound more natural.

192kHz/24-Bit Audio DAC: The 192 kHz/24-bit audio DAC enables the best possible reproduction of standard and high-definition audio formats.

VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry): Conventional D/A conversion methods reduce digital pulse noise at the conversion stage, but can't remove it completely. Previously only found on higher-end components, VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry) employs a unique D/A conversion circuit to overcome this problem. Data is converted between sampling points and these points are joined with analog vectors in real-time to produce a smooth output wave form. The result is a virtually noiseless, smooth analog signal based on the digital source to bring out even the most subtle of nuances in your music, movie soundtracks, and even MP3.

Advanced Music Optimizer: While compressed music files may sound fine through the headphones of your portable digital player, the limitations of these files can be exposed when played back through a quality home entertainment system. This is because a significant amount of high-frequency bit information is lost during the file-compression process. To counter this, Onkyo has designed the Advanced Music Optimizer to compensate for lost bit information and improve the quality of compressed audio signals. This results in a clearer and more expansive sound. Also included in this technology is a loudness correction feature that further improves the audio character of compressed files. The Music Optimizer function only works with PCM digital audio signals with a sampling rate below 48kHz and analog input signals.

Tone Control + Phase Matching Bass Boost: You can independently adjust the Bass & Treble of the CS-N755 from -3 to +3 dB. Onkyo's Phase-Matching Bass Boost technology effectively preserves midrange clarity, allowing vocals and string instruments to sound natural while maintaining a smooth powerful bass response at all volume levels.

Direct Mode: When the Direct Mode is activated, the tone controls are bypassed, so you can enjoy the purest sound possible.

Analog + Digital Inputs: The Onkyo CS-N755 is fitted with both analog and digital audio inputs. There are 2 stereo RCA and one minijack (3.5mm) analog audio inputs. In addition, there is one optical and coaxial digital input.

Line Output: The CS-N755 is also fitted with an analog stereo RCA output for connecting a recording device.

Binding Post Speaker Terminals: There are color-coded, binding post terminals will accept bare-wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, and banana plugs (single/dual).

Subwoofer Preamp Output: There is a mono RCA jack for connecting a powered subwoofer.

Headphone Jack: For private listening, the CS-N755 has a front-panel 3.5mm minijack headphone output. When headphones are connected, the unit's speakers are muted.

Two-Way Bookshelf Speakers: The CS-N755 comes with a pair of 2-way 4Ω bookshelf loudspeakers. The speakers feature a 1" balanced, soft dome tweeter and a 4" OMF (Onkyo Micro Fiber) woofer, loaded into a bass reflex enclosure with a rear-firing port. The included black cloth grilles are detachable. The speakers have binding post terminals that will accept bare wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, spade-connectors, and banana plugs (single only) and come with two 6' lengths of speaker wire. looks excellent [ JAMES  Jun 29, 2017 ]
Multiple inputs including both AM and FM radio....compact....something for kitchen that's not too overpowering in size but with great sound....a straightforward system [ Deborah  Jan 08, 2017 ]
Replacing an old Aiwa bookshelf system, I wanted one that would accept digital audio (optical) inputs from our new 4k curved TV, as well as my old reliable Sony powered subwoofer. It really helped having Crutchfield experts to chat with regarding features--other internet information sources are frustrating, unreliable. [ P  Jan 03, 2017 ]
Wanted a small audio system with radio and CD functions for a small bedroom. This mini audio system has more input and output jacks than comparable audio systems by other manufacturers I looked at. [ FRANK  Dec 21, 2016 ]
I needed a small system for my garage that would play cd's also ipod etc, looked good we will see. [ ROBERT  Dec 17, 2016 ]
Fit my needs very well. [ Rob  Dec 08, 2016 ]

Crutchfield advisor recommended this unit based on the information I sent [ Robert  Mar 14, 2016 ]
The price was great for all the options and the system will not take up too much space in the limited area I have in my wood shop. [ Michael  Mar 10, 2016 ]

Sorry I took so long to answer. I was blissfully unaware of the 1.8 meter limit or recommendation. I used quite a bit more. The original hook up was about 8' on one side and 12' on the other side. I was not able to keep the receiver centered due to limitations in the room I can't tell the performance has suffered. I did use 16 gauge Monster cable though. If any speaker cable came with the system, I didn't use it. [ GEORGE W  Dec 11, 2016 ]
the cables are very long, i don't remember the exact length but they are very long [ Jeremy  Dec 08, 2016 ]
I would have to assume so.. as long as its quality cables [ joe  Dec 06, 2016 ]
I don't know why it wouldn't work but I am not sure because I use only the speakers that came with the system. [ TRACY  Dec 06, 2016 ]
I think so. [ Joseph  Dec 06, 2016 ]
I don't know. I'm using a pair of infinity speakers. Sorry I can't help. if it helps, I think they are, [ TODD  Oct 19, 2016 ]
Yes they are. [ Cindy  Oct 19, 2016 ]
I really like my Onkyo, but I do not as a rule pre-program stuff. Sorry, since it is not my routine, I am unable to answer this question. But it is a very fine instrument [ CARL K  Oct 11, 2016 ]
Yes, you can pre-program, save, and label vTuner selections for your parents via the vTuner web portal which would be linked to their N755 tuner. Your parents could easily access the selections from a free Onkyo app for iOS or Android (I use an old iPhone 3GS, which works fine). Choosing selections from the N755's front panel is possible, but not very intuitive since it takes quite a few button pushes, though the remote control may make it easier. Also, note that while Internet radio stations, Pandora, etc. work well, SiriusXM Internet Radio hasn't worked with this tuner for the last year (it requires a firmware update from Onkyo, but Onkyo said in a support forum that they didn't know whether they would fix this issue). I find this somewhat unsettling for a radio that I bought just 2 years ago partly for this purpose. [ Bruce  Oct 09, 2016 ]
The onkyo vtuner web site allows one to set up stations. You can set up multiple folders and name them as you wish, but I'm pretty sure that the station names come through as identified on vtuner. But you can set up a foleder for "classical", one for "news" one for Eastern European folk music", etc. [ PAUL G  Oct 08, 2016 ]
First off. Its a great system with a great sound. We own 2 of them and we can stream via wi-fi to the system. That said it is not a very sophisticated system. Navigation is pretty primitive (you will have to arrow left and right on alphabets and numbers selecting individually just to search) and I wonder if elderly parents that are not savvy will have the patience on getting through it. I had to call tech services the first time to get the system to connect to my computer. In short, you can label the vTuner and save selections, but I have found that to be hit or miss and have figured out how to seek my radio station(s) in another way. Again its the system and unless you have some patience and time to learn this can be daunting. [ FRANCES  Oct 08, 2016 ]
yes.. if old means from 2009.. that's what mine is and it worked [ joe  Apr 05, 2016 ]
It is very easy to connect your iPod Classic to this unit using the UBS cord that came with your device. The instruction manual states that the USB port on the front of the receiver should be used, not the one on the back. I hope this helps you. [ Michael  Apr 05, 2016 ]
really don't know because i don't use iPhones or iPods but when i was able to talk with a Crutchfield customer service employee and he addressed everything i asked to him, use the live chat they are very helpful, i hope you get your question answered ASAP have a great day and this unit is awesome [ Jeremy  Apr 05, 2016 ]
I believe it will. Check the back of the receiver, it has many outlets. I checked before l bought the unit for satellite radio which I plugged in and it works great. There should be a picture on line that shows the back or call and speak to one of the techs very helpful. This is a great unit. I have been very happy with the sound [ LEWIS  Apr 04, 2016 ]
Bought the Onkyo as a gift after hearing both. The Onkyo delivers more accurate sound. Very noticeable. [ ALAN  Mar 29, 2016 ]
Unfortunately, I really could not answer that question. I was looking to purchase a system that could access internet radio and this fit the bill. I am not tech-savvy enough to take my chances on going out and trying other items that they did not recommend. I will say I love the system. It has a great sound and I have purchased 2 for different rooms. The internet access is a bit trickey, and a bit primitive, It sometimes takes a few tries to get the system to pick up the Wi Fi from our computer. Then there is the issue of how you access the radio stations you are looking for; its not as user friendly as I would think. But I could not find many systems that offered WI Fi for your radio. We live in Calif and my husband has a favorite radio station in New Hampshire. He did manage to find it. I also like to use my ipod on it as well, but again I will stress the manipulation of getting around my ipod through that system is not very intuitive. I have gotten used to the quirks though. Overall happy with the purchase. I know I cant say much about about Wi Fi adapters. But there were a lot of reasons to like this set up, albeit some compromises still it was worth it to me. [ FRANCES  Feb 24, 2016 ]
I do not know for sure. But I do know that getting the Wi-Fi adaptor installed and working is a quirky process and I'd be surprised if a third party adapter could be used. The receiver interface on the end user side is pretty lacking and I doubt that it can interface with a range of adaptors. I'm pretty tech lit, but the install instructions for configuring the adaptor are not good and I needed help from Crutchfield Tech Support to get it done. (The help was very good, BTW). Not a clear cut answer, but I hope it helps. [ PAUL G  Feb 23, 2016 ]
I don't know. I am using the Onkyo interface. Probably doesn't hurt to try another if you already have another [ Richard  Feb 23, 2016 ]
Since you did not purchase the unit from Crutchfield, then you may want to contact the manufacturer. You can also post your question in our forums: Or try our online support center: [ Krissy  Oct 04, 2015 ]  Staff
, it is a single CD. I had 3 CD changer before and it jammed. I tried to find multi unit in compact size and could not locate. Could find in greater width, but I'm restricted to size I bought. [ DONALD  Sep 14, 2015 ]
No, it only accommodates a single CD [ Gerald D.  Sep 11, 2015 ]
Only one changer [ FRANCES  Sep 11, 2015 ]
I'm not sure. I purchased this system as a gift for an out of town family member. [ Joseph  Jun 25, 2015 ]
Yes--on the back panel, there's an input labeled "Aux In" for a 3.5mm stereo minijack (the same size as used by MP3 players for headphones). You would just need a cable with a male 3.5mm plug at each end [ Bruce  Jun 24, 2015 ]
It has a USB port in front, a USB port in back, and aux inputs in back. Should have plenty of options for whatever you need. [ Richard  Jun 24, 2015 ]
Yes, it does. My wife plugs in her iPod. Loves the sound of the music through the Onkyo CS-N755 too. [ PAUL G  Jun 24, 2015 ]
There are stereo rca jacks in the back that you can use to plug in a stereo rca to headphone jack cable. So yes you can use any device. [ DEREK  Jun 24, 2015 ]
Sorry, I don't know. I don't have a MP3 player [ Gerald D.  Jun 24, 2015 ]
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your current gear. They will be able to discuss your current gear and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you. [ Jeff  Mar 06, 2015 ]  Staff
I can't comment on the quality of the tuner directly because with the network capabilities and vtuner for web radio, I opted to pull all radio over the internet. Tha works great and keeps me frpom fiddling with antennas and antenna placement to pull specific stations. Try vtuner to see if the stations you want to pull are listed. They probably are. [ PAUL G  Dec 29, 2014 ]
I think it is good. I live in a somewhat remote area (20 mile from the radio station) and the signal comes in clear. The tone and volume are good. I have not tried connecting it to the internet and probably won't. I also have not tried to receive an AM signal, only because I have not attached the AM antenna. Jerry [ Gerald D.  Dec 29, 2014 ]
Thank you, Richard. Happy holidays! [ Joel  Dec 29, 2014 ]
I am operating the unit in my basement, and the FM reception is surprisingly good. Can't comment on the AM reception. Overall I have been pleased with it- very good sound. [ Richard  Dec 29, 2014 ]
Sure--you can just use the N755 in line-out mode if you don't want to use its internal amp. In my case, the N755 goes directly to a pair of Infinity bookshelves and I also have it hooked up to a powered sub-woofer. It all sounds great to me. [ Bruce  Dec 29, 2014 ]
It doesn't have a clock. It is a great little radio! [ RICHARD  May 14, 2014 ]
To my best knowledge, no. [ Jan  May 14, 2014 ]
That would be a nice feature but no it does not. It has a sleep timer to shut down. [ Jimmy  May 14, 2014 ]
Sorry, no clock. It is a nice system when paired with a powered sub. [ Kelvin  May 14, 2014 ]
No. [ VEMBLASERRY  May 14, 2014 ]
No it does not. If powered in standby mode, it may say USB charging (if a device is plugged in) or show network connected indicator. Otherwise, blank. [ DEREK  May 13, 2014 ]
Yes, but the set up is very complex. I have to admit that I gave up after trying to synch my iPad to the Onkyo twice. The wired hookup is okay-- but the unit is very finicky about Pandora, Apple Radio and Spotify. I should also mention that I was somewhat disappointed with the OEM speakers. I have since replaced them with a pair of Micca speakers which are an improvement--but I am continuing to look around [ JOHN J  Jan 25, 2014 ]
don't know...don't have an ipad [ Alfred  Jan 24, 2014 ]
Yes. Via Bluetooth. [ VEMBLASERRY  Jan 23, 2014 ]
