Top quality product.

It's everything as advertised and then some. A very high quality product. Easy to set up and the sound is excellent.
Jaybird X3 Wireless - Free MySound app lets you customize the sound with your Apple or Android phone
The Jaybird X3 Wireless headphones fit securely in your ears and have a flexible cord routing system.
When buying or reviewing sports headphones, I always ask myself first: "What stops these earbuds from slipping around or falling out?" The sweat-proof Jaybird X3 wireless headphones come with different-sized silicone ear "fins" to help keep them in place. And you can route their connecting cord either below or up and around your ear so they feel comfortable — even inside a bike or ski helmet.
You won't have to run a cord to your phone, thanks to built-in Bluetooth. So while you pound the pavement, hit the trail, or just mow the lawn — admittedly the extent of my physical outdoors activity — the X3s will stay in your ears and out of your way.
These earbuds are tuned to deliver a energetic sound profile that keeps you motivated. That means you get the punchy, powerful bass that makes Jaybird a popular choice with the gym crowd. And if you want to tweak their signature sound a bit, Jaybird's MySound app is available for download on Apple® or Android™ devices. You can adjust the EQ and customize the sound using the app.
Jaybird is hyper-focused on ensuring you find a good fit. How do we know? They've included three pairs of ear fins and a six pairs of ear tips, so you can find ones that match your ears well. There are three sizes of silicone tips and three sizes of Comply™ memory foam tips.
I'm a big fan of Comply foam tips — they're my personal favorite — because they fit snug but feel light and unobtrusive. Just be advised that these foam tips create a tight seal that isolates noise. That's great when you're working out or cooling off inside, but you probably want to stick with silicone tips when you need to be more aware of your surroundings.
It's everything as advertised and then some. A very high quality product. Easy to set up and the sound is excellent.

It's everything as advertised and then some. A very high quality product. Easy to set up and the sound is excellent.
These are decent headphones. You can adjust the sound to your desires which is unique. I just couldn't find the right fit for me. I switched back to Klipsch which has been able to fit me properly in the past as well as sound good. For those who could find a good fit to their ears, these will probably be great.
Pros: Adjustable EQ
Cons: I was unable to find a good fit.
Awesome sound.. good fit...good battery ...that covers it all..
Pros: Great sound
Amazing sound, excellent battery life, great interface, I can go on and on. The Jaybird X3 is awesome must have device for people on the go, or when you just want to relax at home and listen to music or enjoy your favorite shows. I owned the X2 for over two years. I was not prepared to find a better unit in the X3: I'm totally amazed
Pros: Better fit, better battery life, better interface
Cons: Still not a fan of the old or the new storage case
I really like the app. Battery readout. Customized sound. Doesn't seem to be resource draining on my phone. They sound pretty good. Fit pretty good. Does take some moving and adjusting at times. But the wings do a good job of holding them in. I don't like the charging system. It must be to help with water resistence or some function. But it is inconvenient to plan out my charging because i only have 1 charger
Pros: Sound Fit
Finding the right pair of workout headphones is not easy. I've tried Bose, Monster, Beats, and even some of the low cost guys. Time and time again, after hours comparing specs, testing fit, and assessing sound quality, I continue to come back to Jaybird each time. The X3 is exactly what youd expect in a top tier workout headphone that would suffice for everyday use as a BT headset when needed; pairing is a snap with all Jaybirds products. I've had prior experience with the X2 and the Freedom 2, where the X3 takes the improvements made with the Freedom, most notably their app allowing you to tune the sound profile of the headphones to your preference along with better water/sweat resistance and improved fit and weight distribution. The earbuds are about the same size as the X2, but the sound is much improved. The biggest contributor that's caused me to enjoy the X3 more than then Freedom is the 2x battery life and the lighter headphones controls that don't bounce around as much when engaging in intense training sessions (I typically use them hanging around my neck, clipped to the back neck of my shirt). The only downsides with the X3 are the removal of the USB port that allows for charging without the clip and thelarger earbud size which prevents them from being helmet compatible if you want to use them under something like a snowboard or ski helmet. This is another great release from Jaybird and my go-to headphones for any training session.
Pros: Battery life, weight, sweat/water resistant, sound profile tuning, easy pairing
Cons: No USB port, larger earbud size too big for those who want helmet compatibility.
Perfect fit and great sound. Sweet app; user friendly and customizable (sound). Best headphones (gym/workout) I have ever used.... they stay in place, not affected by lots of sweat and movements (while exercising). Definitely recommend, great product and price ??
Easy set up, plenty of fit options for different ear types. Good sound and microphone for phone calls. Jay bird has their own charging set up which is not convenient especially if you lose their plug in cord. Carrying case is compact - wish it had an option to clip to a bag.
Pros: Fit options, sound, set up.
Cons: Charging set up.
Great sound, lightweight. You don't even realize you are wearing them.
Took a few minutes to get the right fitting but great product.
Got them for my wife. The fit is perfect (which is always a problem for her with earbuds) and the sound is what you would expect from JayBird. I will be getting a pair myself!
Great sounding headphones! Battery life is as expected so far. Take the time to get the fit right. It makes a difference.
I rarely post reviews. Unfortunately this product left a strong impression because of how very tinny they sound. Even my wife who doesn't normally catch tonal nuances picked this up as well. Unfortunately the box got thrown out so we're stuck with them.
Easy pairing, great sound. Especially love the app for setting the equalizer. Highly recommended. I wear them all day long at work, I get a full 8 hours from a charge!
Pros: Good fit Stays put during active times Great battery life, 8 HRS!
I've used various brands, styles, and types of headphones in the past; but these are by far my go-to's for working out or doing anything physical. They're secure, snug, sound great, pair easily, and sweat-proof. I wish I found these sooner.
Pros: easy pairing, great battery life, very good sound, snug and versatile fit, comfortable
Cons: None observed
I love these ear buds. I looked at these, Bose sound sports, and some beats. They were all priced higher than the j3's but everything I read the j3's sound better. I love the app to adjust the eq!
Pros: Sound. App
Cons: Fit can be tricky
So far this is a very good product, no problems. Connection seems to work better than others I have owned.
Totally pleased with product. From 6+ mile runs to weight training they never move and have great sound.
Excellent fit and sound. The accompanying app is great as well, especially the custom EQ option.
This is my first pair of wireless earphones and I've been happy with them. Was skeptical of the fins but they are soft silicone and more comfortable and effective than I thought they would be. They are also removable. It took me a couple of times of using them to get the adjustments right for me. I'm happy with the sound quality and would be curious how they compare with similar style of Beats and Bose. Being my first pair is wasn't willing to pay the premium of those brands.
Pros: Good sound quality, convenient
Cons: Unique charging system connection, unique to Jaybird
I purchased a set for me and one for my daughter. The 3 star is an average of the two sets. The set I purchased worked great, but the set for my daughter had a loose connection that would cause the right earbud to cut out. I love the set I purchased. I recommend using the free phone app to with the headphones and download custom equalizers for the app.
Pros: Great when it works
Cons: Doesn't always work
Nice set of headphones but not the most comfortable and the connectivity could be better at times.
Great sound! Still getting use to the fit and finding the right combination. Enjoy not having a long cord connected to my devices.
These are great headphones. I bought these for my daughter (because I have a pair already) and she loves them. They stay in place like they should and provide the much needed clarity while at the gym. Sweat, no problem either!
These headphones work exactly as expected. They are comfortable, durable, and functional for all types of workouts. The noise-canceling quality is awesome!
Great headphones with one caveat - I still have yet to get a jaybirds X headphone that didn't hurt my ears the first few times I wore them.I have owned X1s and X2 and had similar issues. Hopefully the battery life holds better than my X1s or X2s
Fits and stays in my ear perfectly. Great product
The sound quality is amazing and the bass is great. Very impressed with these wireless headphones!
Pros: Great quality Great bass
Sit in the ear well. Sound is good. Foam ear buds are rather malleable and likely won't last long but the silicon ones are perfect.
OUTSTANDING sound from these jaybird x3, have no regrets, awesome bass, clear sound, excellent app to adjust eq to your liking, highly recommended
Pros: Excellent sound Comfortable Lightweight Easy pairing
Just so you know who's writing this review: I'm a 64 year old guy who bought his first aftermarket radio from Crutchfield for a brand new Chevy Citation. Its the truth. And I've been thru a number of stereos, ear buds, etc over the years. I like my music to sound good. Us old guys get skeptical over the years; you just cant help it. And I was the same with these, particularly after experimenting with another brand (the left channel died inexplicaply upon the second power-up). So tried these. For the price, you get very good sound and a ton of convenience. I use them with plain ol iTunes on an iPhone 6. The sound is very full, decently deep and adequately clear. I imagine the sound could go deeper and be more clear but to get to that level, I'd probably have to pay at least twice as much. So, bottom line: Use the foam ear tips (learn how to compress them before inserting to get the best seal) and I think you will be pleasantly surprised and more than satisfied with you purchase. Highlights: Relatively deep bass; Incredibly smooth and consistent pairing process.
Pros: Pairing Bass Comfort
Cons: Microscopic Controls.
Just what I wanted. Easy to set up and use.
I purchased these specifically for running and I have put in about 50 miles so far. I have to say, I am very pleased with them, they deliver excellent sound and the battery life is great. I really like the feature when you turn them on it tells you exactly how much battery life you have remaining. The longest run I've had so far is about 90 minutes, they were comfortable the whole time. They come with 3 different ear adapters for a good fit and multiple foam or silicone pieces for the ear canal. The build quality seems very good also. I had been using the beats powerbeats for the past few years, but I like the Jaybirds much better.
Once we figured out how to use with the app they are perfect! Five stars.
I saw some reviews that the base wasn't good. At first, I agreed. Then, after playing with the different ear pieces, I realized that I simply didn't have a good fit at first. Now I'm going back into the application to turn the base down! Also, I have significant hearing loss from military service and so crisp sounds are important. These do reproduce sounds well and crisp so even I can understand the vocals.
Ordered these for my girlfriend because she wanted a set of wireless earbuds after seeing my Bose Soundsports. These were on sale at the time so quite a bit cheaper than the Bose. Definitely a good deal since they sound every bit as good as the Bose. My only complaint is the charger. It's not your standard micro USB so if you forget to bring the charger, you're outta luck on recharging.
Pros: Good fit, great sound and great price.
I was a bit skeptical about wireless headphones not sounding as good as their wired counterparts. But the trend seems to be going wireless and it is definitely more convenient when working out. These earphones are awesome. The sound is amazing if you tweak the frequencies using a third party app. The preset EQ settings on phones and music players are horrible and do not do justice for higher quality headphones. Jaybird includes a free app which works well. It is easy to customize the fit, either over the ear or under the ear. There are several sizes of both foam and rubber ear pieces you can choose from. And the cord clips allow you to customize the cord length so you can wear either behind your head or in front.
Totally satisfied beyond my expectations..
Great buy for the money. Sound good with Jaybird custom EQ app (free). Easy to sync and operate.
Pros: Comfortable, easy to use
Fits perfect, make sure you download the app for better sound and more listening modes. The charger is a bit different, not your normal usb connection so be careful not to lose it.
Pros: Has different sized ear tips, great sound, app easy to use, mic was also great for calls
Cons: Charger a bit confusing to put on at first and its not your typical usb charger so dont lose it.
I've tryed many of the top earbuds including several Bose models. These are by far the best I have ever tryed. Just a all around great sound, especially with the excellent app. This is using the comfort memory foam inserts which isolate the sound and bring out the excellent base. If you try them straight out of the box with the flat sound you will be disappointed. But using the app and memory foam makes them really shine.
Pros: Great comfort,Great sound,Great bass,Great sound isolation, Great app to control different sounds for different music styles. Great battery life, buds tell you percentage left.
Cons: Only thing is you have to be careful not to lose the charger. It would be nice to charge them directly with just a USB connector .
Great upgrade from even the X2, better fit and clearer sound.
Wire is too short
Pros: ear buds stay in your ear
Cons: wire is too short
It stays put, good sound and with the foam ear pieces very good at passive noise blocking. Out of the way, durable and you can forget having to worry about them once they are on. The only downside is the battery life, good for more like 5 -6 hours tops, but charges easily.
Pros: Once you have them fitted to you, they will stay in place. They have very good sound and really light, you almost forget you have them on, except for never missing a beat.
Cons: Battery life is about 5-6 hours, I haven't drained it yet. You do get a audio message about how much battery you have left when you power them up.
Overall is a great headphone, I use them for work with an iphone 7 (since it doesn't have a headphone jack). Haven't used them for exercises or active stuff yet. The thing I love the most is the EQ app and rhe ability to download other people eq's and customize your own, it really makes a difference.
Pros: EQ app (you can customize it or download other people's eq), good battery life, noise isolating headphone tips (just like a pro in ear headphone), voice clarity (no complaints from receptors)
Cons: No fast charge, charging adapter (without it, it cannot be charged), very small delay in audio when watching videos, ear support plastic doesn't fit everybody (it started to hurt after a couple hours and when changed to a smaller one it didn't fit well)
Happy with the purchase.
Pros: Great price for the product. The sound equalizer APP is a nice feature for your style of music. Noise canceling for sure.
I gave this as a gift. She loves it! They look, sound and work great.
Sound is quite good, with good bass response. Comfortable fit, with good noise isolation with the Comply foam tips. They charge fine when plugged into a computer's USB port, but they stop charging at about 80% when plugged into a battery pack I have. Perhaps that is an idiosyncrasy of the proprietary charging clip, since the battery pack charges everything else I've thrown at it just fine . not an issue worth docking a star, though. They connect easily and quickly to my phone or to a Bluetooth transmitter that's connected to a TV. Seem to be well built.
I wish I could've given these a 4.5 star rating, but since I can't, I opted to give it the full 5. Awesome product. Love the green color. Fits perfectly without chance of slipping out of my ears. Comfortable with form fitting material. Great sound. Love that it speaks to you telling how much charge is left. Easy charging. Seemed reasonably fast to full charge. Last a decent amount of time with full charge. The clip is useful, but the optional length adjusters are hard to put on and not easy to adjust once on. Comes with a nice storage pouch. Overall, I highly recommend these if you have a device with Bluetooth. Not useful on devices without Bluetooth capabilities.
Pros: Comfortable Sound quality Works with phone calls, Google Assistant Easy charging
Cons: Adjustable clips are not easy to use Only useful with BT enabled devices Charging dock is specific to this product, can't use other chargers, small and easy to lose
Was very impressed by the sound compared to a different brand earphone that I purchased years ago. Price is very good and shipping was very fast.
Pros: Nice snug fit in the ear. Great sounding earplugs.
Crutchfield was great and shipped these faster than they quoted which is always a pleasant surprise. I bought these after my PowerBeats 3 failed for the 2nd time and had to be shipped back. Purchased those in Jan 2017 and need a reliable 2nd pair. Took advantage of the sale price for X3 having considered them when I went with the PB3. Did not go X3 initially as I did not like the proprietary charging. But I can see why they went that direction, as the port on the PB3, although on the bottom of the headphone, is susceptible to moisture which could be why they continue to fail. X3 has metal contacts without any openings where moisture and debris can enter. For Android users, I'd suggest these over the PB3 however. I'd give 4 stars for Android and 3 for iOS but you can't give 3.5 stars! The sound is just not where I expected it to be even with the EQ app. The app is better, however, than most of the free EQ apps as you do not lose any volume. Other apps I've tried reduce the volume by about 15-20%. For now, they get 4 stars since I'm Android user and the PB3's are just too unreliable. If these do not hold up to gym workouts, I will come back and reduce! Not sure about JayBird support though as I have not used it yet. I will say Apple has been awesome in terms of handling the PB3 repairs quickly and always sending status emails.
Pros: * Great for Android users. Shows power status on the phone and provides aural status unlike the PB3. * Great fit and they stay in better than PB3 * In-line controls bigger yet light and non-instrusive * Although I'm only on day 1, they seem like they won't fail as much as the PB3, partly due to no open charging port. Reliability is one of the most important factors as they need to work for > 2 -3 months
Cons: * Sound is very average, even using the customizable EQ app. * Range is poor, much less distance than the PB3. * Case is pathetic for a product that retails for $129. Even cheaper than the PB3. If you want to build a quality name for an "off-brand," provide high quality accessories. * The DIY cord management clips are a pain and should not require watching a YT video to figure them out. PB3 better here * Battery life is nowhere near 8 hours. More like 4-5. * Would not recommend
The package came 3 days earlier than expected which was great. The earphones were in perfect condition and have worked great!
So far so good. They are comfortable and the sound is great
Just got these headset and they sound awesome. They blow away my LG. The fit is nice and tight, but can become uncomfortable after awhile . However, they do come with many different set up options that i have left to try. Love the look and easy to use controls. The app that you download is very nice and gives you unlimited different eq setups that you can save . I am not a fan of the charger at all. You have to clip the charger on the volume base which requires the supplied adaptor but no charger. If you you lose or break this small adapter This is the only reason I gave this a 4 star.
Very good sound, good battery life, comfortable, easy to install on the iphone, good overall design. I can't believe I didn't buy them earlier.
Pros: Good sound Equalizer app is very useful Good connectivity with the iPhone Good battery life Confortable
Cons: I hope one day there is a noise cancelling version. But I am asking too much for now.
The sound is not as good as the beats 3, Design for the ears is very por not specified which is left or right.
Cons:Crutchfield response on 7/10/2017 This customer contacted us and set up a return. Purchases from Crutchfield can be returned or exchanged within 60 days.
These turned out to be everything other reviewers said the were. Good Sound, Good Battery life, easy to pair up Bluetooth and solid construction. Would have been happy had I paid the regular price. Getting them on sale was icing on the cake. As always, Crutchfield had them here in less than 5 days. A few people have complained about the connection for charging, but I have not found it a problem as they get charged overnight on my nightstand via a USB charging hub. Very happy over-all.
I'm extremely pleased with these ear buds. Every pair of other types of earbuds Ive had before have shorted out with my profuse sweat during my runs in the humidity of Louisiana or they frustrate me with constantly slipping out of my ears. The Jaybird earbuds stay put - offer a variety of ways to wear and have tremendous sound quality that allows me to hear aspects of my music that I previously couldn't detect with my other brand ear buds. Highly recommended.
Pros: Handle heavy sweat Wireless Stay put Variable options to wear Color choices Great sound quality
They are awesome. Love the color. The sound is great! Being able to customize it is pretty cool. They fit perfect on the ears. The cancel out outside noises. Love, love, love them! The best! Use them at the gym. While doing yard work. I've never had Beats but I'm pretry sure these are proudly better. And they look better in my opinion.
There is only one problem for this amazing earphone. The battery. It doesn't last 8 hours as stated in the description. I fully charged it the first time I used it , only lasted for 4 hours. That's a big deterrent. Overall , amazing.
Great sound. Easy to set up and use. Great for working out.
Pros: Great sound. Easy to set up and use. Great for working out.
Good sound and connectivity (rarely skips), but not particularly comfortable. My Motorola VerveLoop+ headphones (which was my previous headphone) stay on with the default buds and (their version of the 'wings'). I'have some more time before the return window to swap out the full range of buds and see if the fit improves, and then update this review. However, as an initial review, i must admit i'm slightly disappointed for a headphone at this price - especially after reading (relatively) glowing reviews online. Perhaps i have weird ears :)
Pros: Sound. Connection strength.
Cons: Additional charging accessory and disappointing (out of the box) fit. Fat winglets.
Best wireless headset that's not bulky like a traditional headphones and the sound is perfectly clear and balanced. You definitely have an advantage to wear it all day or just store it in your pocket,it's portable to take it with you anywhere you want. I bought four for my family.
Pros: Best portable sounding headset.
Cons: Can't overcharge the battery otherwise it will drain its charge.

The X3 comes with six pairs of silicone and memory foam ear tips, secure-fit ear fins, cord clips, and a shirt clip. Ear Tips: The Jaybird X3 in-ear headphones feature smaller ear buds than previous models to fit smaller ear canals. It is small enough to allow you to wear them inside of a full helmet. The package includes both silicone and Comply memory foam ear tips in three sizes each. Three sizes of ergonomic Secure-Fit ear fins are available for greater comfort and fit.
Over/Under Ear: The X3s can be worn in different ways depending upon your intended use. If you wear them during rigorous sports, running, or biking, it is recommended that you choose the over-ear sport fit. The MySound app is compatible with Android devices running OS 4.4 and up, and with iPhones and iPads with iOS 9.0 or later.
Battery: The Jaybird X3 is powered by a 3.7-volt Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. The battery charges in approximately 2.5 hours via the included USB cable (5V 500mA power source recommended). Pros: They sound great They provide plenty of cushion and fin options for a comfortable fit. The controls are very intuitive. They stay put when I'm running. The Jaybird app provides incredibly flexible EQ options to allow me to dial the sound in, and I can store multiple EQ curves. Cons: The overall max volume level is a bit timid for my tastes. That can be tweaked significantly in the app by adjusting the level of the overall EQ curve (i.e. volume) Well done, Jaybird! [ GEORGE Mar 14, 2018 ]

I researched several earbuds over the last week. These seemed to have the best features for what I intend to use them for, which is running. My second choice was the Bose Sound Sport, but in reviews, it was mentioned that they do not seal to your ear, they kind of sit outside your ear canal. Compatible with android device. [ Christina Dec 19, 2017 ]
The Jaybird X3's have a very sleek and elegant design. They are water and sweat resistant which according to reviews appear to hold up better to the elements. They have a proprietary charging system that even though seems to be an inconvenience it appears to improve the water resistant aspect. I am excited to see if they will perform and hold up to the elements as I believe they will. [ KEITH A Dec 17, 2017 ]

I have small ears, a lot of buds too large or uncomfortable for me. These look small and compact. [ Irina Jul 21, 2017 ]
Wife has the jaybird x2 headphones and she loves them. These appear to have some big improvements on an already great product, so i look forward to using them. [ anthony Jul 17, 2017 ]
the wire that connects the buds is not flimsy or thin at all they are very sturdy. The wire is flat and the buds themselves are heavier than average for earbuds, despite this they never fall out of my ears when i use the wings [ EMAN May 29, 2018 ]
The weight was very little and seemed adequate but I didn't like the sound at all. [ Beaver May 22, 2018 ]
There is a cord management clip that you can thread the wire to adjust to your liking. They are light and I am still using both the X2 and X3. Sound quality is good off my Apple Watch for a run or recreational use. I have not had any issues with the wire fraying and I have used both sets frequently. [ Troy May 22, 2018 ]
The neck wire is fine and well made. [ JOSE L May 22, 2018 ]
