Easy to use and works fantastically.
I purchased this at another store, didn't know Crutchfield sold them at the time... However since I found it here with no review I'd thought I'd add one. The cup-holder mount works perfectly in my vehicle as there is a location to the left of my steering wheel. It uses three vertical bars with rubber on the outside to grip the cup-holder. It works by turning the ring one direction to slowly and smoothly extend the three bars and the other to retract them. It holds incredibly well and I've never had it loosen up while in use. The two spring-loaded clamps as-well-as the "face?" of the mount are also made of the soft rubber material. You simply pull the two sides apart, set you phone in and let go. It fits my GS6 with an OtterBox Defender on it so it can definitely hold some large phones. Even with the case removed, the phone doesn't slide up or down thanks to the tension of the arms and the rubber used on this mount. I've owned it just over a year and have tried others that include the Macally cup-holder mount. Both the first and the exchanged Macally mounts broke due to the cheaper material and the flimsier internal mechanism that extends the base of the mount. I have yet to be disappointed with this Belkin mount but do wish it had the small extendable arm that the Macally does, that part at least functioned very well. Also, the small oval hole in the neck is for your charging cable or 3.5mm AUX cable to pass through to assist in cable management/routing.
Pros: High-Quality rubber, Well Designed, Easy to Operate, Stays-in-Place, Fits a wide assortment of cup-holders; even those that have a slot for mug handles, Spring-loaded arms, Twist-to-extend mechanism for the base.
Cons: Neck doesn't extend nor bend, Plastic base feels cheap even though it's incredibly strong.
