with most major cable ISPs in the United States. Installing your own modem will
eliminate the monthly rental fees charged by your internet service provider
(saving you up to $120 per year).
US Cable Internet Service Provider Compatibility: The
TP-Link TC7650 is compatible with most major US cable internet service
providers - like Comcast Xfinity; Spectrum (including Charter, Time Warner, &
Bright House Networks); Cox Communications; Suddenlink Communications; Mediacom
Cable; and WOW. The cable modem supports the assignment of IPv4 and IPv6
addresses by cable Internet providers.
- You must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) and tell them that
you are using the cable modem. Before you connect the cable modem and
contact your cable Internet provider, collect your cable account number,
account phone number, and login information (your email address or user name

service by using Comcast XFINITY self-activation process. If you are unable
to self-activate your modem, call Comcast XFINITY customer service.

Coax Connector: Your cable internet service provider's coax
cable will plug into the modem's coax connector on the back panel.
Gigabit Ethernet Port: A Gigabit Ethernet port creates a
fast, reliable wired connection for your wireless router or computer.
QoS (Quality of Service) Traffic Prioritization: QoS
(Quality of Service) prioritizes traffic to particular devices or activities,
while maintaining critical data throughput regardless of network congestion.
IPv4 & iPv6 Supported: The TC7650 cable modem supports both
IPv4 and IPv6. iPv6 is the next generation of Internet protocol, helping you to
future-proof your network.
