The DISH AL1000 security alarm connects between the Tailgater antenna and your receiver, which also powers the device. If someone disconnects your Tailgater, an alarm will sound.

Tailgater Alarm: The Tailgater Alarm connects between the antenna and receiver of of Tailgater Portable HDTV System (628VQ4510, sold separately). A audible alarm sounds if the antenna is disconnected from the receiver. The Tailgater Alarm receives its power from the receiver of your Tailgater Portable HDTV system. To silence the alarm, simply reconnect the antenna a receiver, disconnect the alarm from the receiver, or unplug the receiver.
