Solid!

Solidly built with what looks and feels like powder coating on the metal - it should last. Might be the perfect table for laptops when sitting. Pricey but you seriously get what you pay for here. This is heavy enough to last through usage including lame cats who want to be on EVERYTHING. Not something that will knock over easily but that same weight makes you consider where you are placing it. Great purchase. Be aware that at least on the orange one, the powder coat comes off as more industrial matte (think wheels) than bright tangerine or something.

Pros: Stability; semi-Mid Mod shape, if not color; optimized for what it is supposed to do & built to last.

Cons: Umm, it's better than the other small tables I have here?

Excellent table!

Binky

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had looked all over the web for a slide-under-sofa type table. Always came back to the BDI Bink. Everything out there seemed to be über-cheap in cost and quality, until ya get to the $600 price range! I originally came across this BDI model due to my search for quality AV cabinets. although Salamander Synergy won that battle, I was still impressed with the BDI line. Bink has a low profile with its shape and matte colors, I ordered the Earl. It has a surprising amount of surface area to use for food and drink, and after breakies it does double duty for a laptop, coffee, and remote. The base is slightly heavier than the top, so it's plenty stable. Just 3 long thru bolt hold it all snug from the bottom, all with an impeccable fit and finish. The 24" height was what I wanted to fit over the 24"arm on my love seat, but I didn't account for the 3/16" top of the Bink... So it would be perfect to go over an arm 23 13/16" in height ;)~ I want another!

Pros: Stable, solid, functional, low-profile, slides easy on carpet. Wish I could justified the purchase of two from the get-go! Crutchfield is a great company with no tax if you're not in Virginia. Do it.

Cons: Watch your knuckles when flailing hands react to the game! It's heavy metal \\^^// content delivers quite a ring if it's bumped and under no load. Ships from the manufacturer. BDI must require a signature from UPS... It didn't get delivered the first attempt due to this, even though we live rural with a large dry porch.

I'm afraid we don't have enough information on the BDI Bink to guarantee compatibility when used outdoors. Given that it's designed with aluminum and steel construction, there's a good chance that it would work outdoors, but you may want to contact BDI directly to find out for certain--you can email them customerservice@bdiusa.com or call at 703-803-6900.
