Convenient iTunes® playback with AirPlay®

Apple's easy-to-use AirPlay technology lets you access your favorite music wirelessly from your iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch®. You'll be able to control iTunes and see music information — including album art, track titles, and artist info on your compatible Apple device, or on your TV. Of course you can connect your iPod easily to the front-panel USB port's direct digital connection. You'll love the great sound as your music gets the top-notch treatment of the receiver's audio circuitry instead of the iPod's. AirPlay requires a wireless home network and a wired connection between the receiver and network.

Take control with your smartphone

Download a free app and your Android™ or iPhone® becomes a convenient Wi-Fi® remote. This intuitive app is unimpeded by the obstacles that block line-of-site reception for typical infrared-based remotes, so you can be in the bedroom and turn up the sound in the living room without touching the receiver. Requires connection to a wireless home network.

The bottomless playlist

With the click of a cable in the rear Ethernet port you literally open a door to a world of music. Choose from thousands of Internet radio stations or explore online services like SiriusXM or Pandora Internet radio. You can even stream music and pictures from your home network.

Take your records out for a spin

For vinyl fans, there's nothing else like it. The Marantz SR6007 has a dedicated input for your turntable. Whether you're new to hot wax, thumbing through albums older than your kids or grabbing some bargains at a yard sale, this receiver stands ready for you and your favorite tracks.

Quick and easy setup and control

The Marantz SR6007 has an on-board setup assistant to help you make all the right connections for your system. Use the supplied microphone to analyze sound from different listening positions, then sit back as the receiver automatically adjusts level, equalization, and delay settings for each of your speakers. The result is accurate response across a wide listening area instead of just a single "sweet spot," so everyone in the room can enjoy precisely balanced home theater sound.

The Marantz sr6007 was purchased to replace an older Rotel pre/pro 1068 in order to take advantage of HDMI connections and room correction. I initially used the Marantz as a preamp only as I already had a separate two channel and multi-channel amps though I eventually felt there was no benefit with the separate amps with the Marantz. The Marantz excels at low to moderate listening levels, which is where I listen 99% of the time. I have B&W 804S speakers, which presents a moderate load for the receiver to drive. Read the Audyssey setup carefully and learn the different settings. In my opinion Audyssey is what really makes this receiver sound good. The remote control is simple to use and the remote app for I pad is really nice. The round viewing port is for looks rather than obtaining information from afar. The blue circle around the port does not light up. Kind of odd, but I was so happy that I return the receiver and purchased the sr7008 instead primarily for the upgraded Audessy xt32 and the separate screen that you can actually read. I will do a review on the more expensive receiver once I get more familiar with the settings.

Pros: Low level listening Audyssey Connectivity Remote very simple to use

Cons: Round viewing port no very useful Runs Warm

I exchanged a 1 Marantz NR 1403 for this stereo and did not like it at all.The 1403 was just better sound at half the wattage. I had anticipated this unit to be twice as loud as the 1403 but that was not the case did not like at all. I wish that marantz would make the 1403 with more wattage ,like just keep it simple , loud and powerful, but not having to turn it up as loud as it goes to get it to sound decent. Oh well my search continues

    Pros: none

Cons: Does not sound like 110 watts

    Very Disappointed

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Hooked this up 5.1 to a new Polk CAi6A center channel and klipsh towers, rear speakers & sub that sounded great with the Harmon Kardon AVR 7300 I replaced. Sound quality is now marginal at best. verified everything connected properly. Very hollow & "tinny"sounding voice. Bought this receiver based on other positive reviews...this unit must be a dud. Audyssey setup & EQ only make the vocals sound more hollow. Spent an hour with Marantz tech and 45 min with Crutchfield tech but sound issues remain. I have all EQ modes set to off and manually reset the speakers. Updated from and older Harmon Kardon AVR 7300 - weighted 73 lbs - this receiver is feather lite. The HK would rock the house but this unit on the cable box runs at sound level 45 just to get normal listening levels - the HK ran at 30. Air play does not work, app for iphone 4S useless. I get better sound quality and lower receiver levels (30) by streaming Netflix than I do from the cable box at 45. I have an older Denon AVR 1708 hooked up to a 5.1 HK cube speaker setup that sounds better the "higher end" system in the main room.

Pros: Crutchfield shipping 1st rate. The Blue Ray works great. The Iphone charges and play well when connected thru USB. CD player run thru optical cable sounds great. Setup not hard but needs to be adjusted - example it read my sub being 25 feet away when it is 13 feet from the mic.

Cons: Runs hot. Remote stinks - I now have 4 remotes on the table (TV, Cable box, Blue Ray & Receiver) The sound quality for vocals are so hollow & tinny I would like to send this back. The picture up scaling seems to be ineffective from 480P. The round port hole is to small & hard to read unless up close.

    Sounds great!

For the record I am not an experienced audiophile or HT expert. I wanted a decent system for music and movies. This reciever delivers exectly what I expected, though I am not using all of its capability at this time. I currently have a 3.0 speaker set up as I save for an evential 5.1 system. I have a pair of Focal Chorus 726 and a 700C. CDs, FLAC and Apple Lossless sound great. I have played them from the maranz network connection and vie apple tv. Movies sound as good as can be expected witht he speaker setup I have. There are more than enough connections for my needs, specifically HDMI inputs. I am happy with the way Audyssey set up my speakers. I find the UI looks dated. I have had some issues with ARC and my Samsung TV, likely due to my lack of knowledge. The issue I am most frustrated by is network/internet radio interuption avery 5 minutes or so. I can't determine if it is the TV or the reciever causing the issue. I also thought at this point in time and price range the unit should have wifi. Lastly, I had some challenges at first with certain devices with certain HDMI ports. I'm not sure how, but they eventually all work now.

Pros: Sounds great! Plenty of HDMI inputs

Cons: No wifi A little confusing at first

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I purchased this receiver to replace my old Marantz 5600 since it did not have HDMI inputs and outputs. I used the old unit for an older projector and home theater system and it worked perfectly. The sound quality it produced was outstanding which is why I decided to purchase another Marantz. Installation and set up was a snap and it has more HDMI inputs than I will ever need. As expected the audio and video quality has met my expectations and I would recommend this unit to a friend without hesitation.

Pros: Easy to set up and produces great sound and Video at a fair price

    Cons: None

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I called and spoke to Hogan. Not only did he take the time to explain the differences between the receivers, he answered every question I threw at him with ease. He suggested the Marantz after hearing what I was looking for and he couldn't have been more right. The installation and programming were extremely simple ,like he said, and the sound is amazing! The picture quality is outstanding also. I had a Denon before, and the Marantz blows it out of the water.

Pros: Ease of programing sound and picture quality

    Cons: not a backlit remote

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This Marantz SR6007 replaced a Sony STR-3200ES which we had had for several years. The Sony was awkward when switching from DVD to TV/Cable and it had a few other problems that I hoped the Marantz would solve. The Marantz was relatively easy to set up. I had difficulty understanding exactly how I was to connect speakers for our 5.1 setup but eventually worked that out. I enjoy listening to music from iTunes on my computer in another room via Air Play on the Marantz. I have it set up to play Sirius-XM and that works well also. My only problem so far has been with the Network settings. I have not managed to access picture or music folders on the network yet probably due to my having failed to set permissions correctly but I will continue to work on that. Also I accidentally clicked on the Pandora link and had to completely re-set the receiver. Until I did so the Network was unavailable as the receiver continued indefinitely "authenticating" Pandora. Re-setting it meant having to go through Set-Up again which was a bit annoying but nothing short of that got past the authenticating. The controls are fairly simple and straightforward and the sound is terrific.

Pros: Good looking receiver. Fairly easy set-up. Terrific sound. Easy remote control.

Cons: Unit froze "authenticating" Pandora and had to be re-set. Instructions could be a little clearer.

Great product. Easy to connect and set up. No complaints.

Pros: Simplistic design - looks and performs very well. Apple Airplay and internet radio are plusses.

Cons: No printed manual included. A CD with a .pdf version is included. Must set each input through the menu for operation.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice powerful product, clean lines and good looks.

Pros: Easy to set up. Video pass through works well. Phono input is a real plus and produces excellent low noise fidelity in stereo mode.

Cons: Center channel has a habit of dropping high frequency's as times with certain sources and sometimes lacks crispness. I used the microphone setup, as well as the voice EQ, but still have issues. This unit replaced a Harmon Kardon AVR630, which was an Audio masterpiece. The Marantz does not quite measure up.

    Looks beautiful and sounds great

Pros: Very sleek look, easy to navigate menu of components, has an audio input for my turntable, love the sound.

Cons: Wish I could figure out how to set up the speakers in the different zones with the microphone they included. Also, volume has to be cranked REALLY high to get good sound in a larger room.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my very first receiver in a long time. I'm using it only for audio, not home theater. I chose this model because it has a phono input and the Internet radio features. The sound of the unit is good and the GUI is really nice. I wish the U.S. version of this receiver was available in the silver color as it is in the European store. The build quality is ok but I wish they put a little more into the box. In black it looks like every old Sony, Denon unit you can get at a big box store. The Internet radio is easy to use and opens the world up to thousands of radio stations without having to use your computer. You can play iTunes music from your devices through the Airplay feature and it works very well.

Pros: Lots of features including phono input, Airplay and Internet radio. Sounds good. GUI is simple to use and set up.

Cons: The case is plain, they could have given it more of a high-end look especially for the price point but it looks like a mid level receiver. Are we forever going to have black electronics? If you're a mac user, you kind of wish your computer junk matched your audio junk since the two worlds collided long ago.

Excellent product, gorgeous sound, easy setup. The only thing that I would complain about is that you have to navigate through several menus to see the details of the audio and video signals (input signal video resolution, audio bitrate, number of channels, etc.), definitely not a deal breaker.

    Great receiver

JamesL from Brooklyn, NY on 2/4/2013

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Stunning sound. I've got Cambridge SoundWorks Tower II speakers and play a lot of jazz off vinyl. I upgraded from a 10-year-old Marantz receiver to accommodate a new TV and generally to upgrade, and the difference in sound is remarkable. The Marantz sound is warm and deep and rich, and it's got a smart set of features. Note: The lack of wifi means you have to be close to an ethernet connection (or use airport express or something similar). The portal display is a little silly, but with the iphone remote app you don't need it anyway, and on the on-screen menus are fine. Setup is easy. I did notice a minor degradation in build quality from the older model, as people have been saying, but nothing substantial (the knobs feel a little flimsy -- but I'll never use them). The sound is just beautiful, and it handles switching between devices nicely. The Audyssey setup works great. The Airplay integration is nice, as is the built-in Pandora and Spotify. I really recommend this product.

Pros: Sounds fantastic. Easy to use Plenty of inputs and a smart feature set

Cons: Portal display is cramped and of limited utility No wifi

    Better then the Denon 3313

    Chris from SoCal on 12/25/2012

You can read my review on the Denon 3313 to catch up, but I moved over to this unit as the Denon was unacceptable. The build quality to slightly better then the Denon, much better connectors, but the back panel still flexes when plugging in speaker plugs, and the power cable is still very loose. As I have a Marantz pm8004 (Japan built), it is sad to see where the brand is going at the moment as far as overall quality. I mainly switched from the Denon to this due to unacceptable sound quality. I am honestly not sure why I thought this would be any better, as the same chip sets are in use, but I immediately noticed better internals (caps, transformer, etc.) and sure enough it made the difference. The sound quality is by far acceptable, but am still unsure if it wows me enough to keep. It at least has the realistic mids, accurate highs, and non anemic bass I didn't get from the Denon. I find it very annoying that fine tuning adjustments do not take place immediately like the Denon though. and I can not hear the changes I have made until I back out of the EQ adjustment. When I do, a small pop, then the changes are there. Strange. Video quality same as Denon, which is very good. Overall disappointed with what is happening to the brand, and overall quality. I am debating a NR1603 for the video, iPod, and wireless features and to power my center and surrounds, and getting a mm7025 Japan built power amp while I still can. I am sure that combo will at least finally rock.

Pros: video quality, internet radio, direct iPod connection

Cons: build quality, manual tuning issues, lack of front door style cover

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I highly recommend not only this product, but listening to the advice of the experts they have selling this stuff. My Crutchfield advisor Jackson was patient, fully explained what to look for and helped me select an awesome system. I ended up with a Samsung 64" 3-D plasma, this Marantz receiver driving five Klipsch in-ceiling speakers. The entire system is matched perfectly and blows me away. My friends thought I was crazy, but going with the in-ceiling speakers freed up space and replaced my Bose 901's. They not just replaced the 9012's, they out-class them in every regard. I installed everything myself, piece of cake with very little skill, required, mostly common sense. I have bought numerous electronics from Crutchfield, this last purchase was typical in the way they handle their business. Shipment was fast, everything came in with no mistakes and installed easily. Not buying from Crutchfield would be a mistake if your looking for quality, selection, expertise and a company that stands behind everything they advertise. Thanks Jackson, I absolutely love what we put together. Ken

Pros: Perfectly matched TV, Receiver and speakers, Fast delivery, unbelievable performance.

    Cons: Zero.

Beautiful piece of equipment. Installation and setup was easy and straight-forward. The Audissey microphone makes configuring home theater speakers very fast and simple. I can't find any problems with the sound, and there are enough inputs and outputs to take care of my needs for several years.

Pros: Excellent sound quality Easy setup 6 HDMI inputs for Cable, Roku, Apple TV, etc. Supports up to 2 subwoofers

Cons: Remote only controls Marantz equipment, no learning capability

7-Channel Discrete Amplifier: The Marantz SR6007 is equipped with a power amplifier that reproduces high-fidelity sound in surround mode with equal quality and power for all channels, true to the original sound. The power amplifier circuit adopts a discrete-circuit configuration that achieves high-quality surround sound reproduction. The 7 channel amplifier is rated at 110 watts with 2 channels driven (20-20kHz, 8-ohms, 0.08% THD).

Amplifier Assignment: The SR6007 supports up to 7.2 channels (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Surround Back L/R, and SW) for surround playback defined by the Blu-ray disc format. The seven amplifier channels built into the receiver are typically used for 7.2 channel surround in the main room, but there are various amplifier configurations to accommodate your home theater setup:

    • Normal: The SR6007 is designed to be used as a 7.2ch surround sound receiver with front left/right, center-channel, surround left/right, and surround back left/right channels along with a preamp subwoofer output.
    • Bi-Amp: You can configure the amplifier for front bi-amp operation to achieve a higher-quality 2-channel sound by connecting the receiver's front and surround back channels to your main front speakers (if compatible). Receiver will be limited to 5.2ch surround.
    • Front Height: To enjoy Dolby Pro Logic IIz,  you can reassign the power amp from the two surround back channels to the two front height channels for better front effects.
    • Front Wide: To enjoy Audyssey DSX, you can reassign the power amp from the two surround back channels to the two front wide channels for better front effects.
    • Zone 2: The surround back channel amplifier can also be assigned to power stereo speakers in Zone 2. Receiver will be limited to 5.2ch surround.

Note: There is also Front L/R Speaker B terminals to connect a second pair of front speakers in another room or the same room. You can only select A or B speakers; you cannot select both, nor play them simultaneously.

High Current Power Supply: The Marantz SR6007 AV surround receiver employs a high current linear power supply with an EI core power transformer for high-quality sound playback.

Isolated Audio Circuit Board: The carefully-optimized audio signal path rests on a separate circuit board for maximum performance as well as isolation from interferences generated by high speed video processing.

24-bit/192-kHz DACs: The Marantz SR6007 utilizes a 192 kHz/24 bit D/A converter on each of the unit's seven channels for exceptional sound quality. The 192kHz sampling and 24-bit word length capabilities of the DACs allows you to play high-resolution recordings and hear the increased clarity, detail and dynamic range of those recordings.

Digital Signal Processing (DSP): The Marantz SR6007 is equipped with a high-resolution Analog Devices (ADSP21487) 32-bit Digital Signal Processor (DSP). All elements of the Surround Processor are optimized to the highest standards by the use of selected high performance and discrete components, particularly the A/D and D/A converters and the sophisticated DSP surround decoder. The SR6007 is equipped with various surround modes to reproduce a variety of surround sound effects, according to the content of the source to be played. The receiver features Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD, DTS and DTS-HD decoding; as well as offers Dolby Pro Logic II (x/z) audio processing.

Note: Dolby Digital and DTS listening modes can only be selected if your audio source is connected to the A/V receiver via a digital audio connection (HDMI, optical, or coaxial). To enjoy true 7.1ch Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-HD surround sound, the receiver must be connected to your Blu-ray player via HDMI.

Audyssey Technology: The Marantz SR6007 features a full package of Audyssey audio technologies for optimal sound quality.

    • Audyssey MultEQ XT: Audyssey MultEQ XT technology helps create an optimal acoustic profile for your home theater. Using the included setup microphone, Audyssey MultEQ XT measures sound levels and adjusts speaker configuration accordingly, making setup fast and easy. This room acoustic measuring and correction system analyzes (via the included microphone) the audio characteristics of your speaker system and your listening environment at up to 8 measurement points and automatically tailors the sound for top audio fidelity. You can set the Audyssey MultEQ XT to one of the following modes.
      • Audyssey: Optimizes the crossover point, output level, delay time, and equalization of all speakers based on speaker frequency response, speaker location, and room acoustics.
      • Audyssey Bypass L/R: Optimizes all speakers except front left and right.
      • Audyssey Flat: Optimizes frequency response of all speakers to flat.
      • Manual: Adjusts the tonal quality for each speaker individually using the manual equalizer settings; adjust from -20 to +6 dB at 63 Hz, 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, 2 kHz, 4 kHz, 8 kHz, and 16 kHz.
      • Off: Turns equalizer off.
Dynamic EQ: Audio engineers mix music and movie soundtracks at reference levels much louder than typical home listening levels. At lower volumes the human ear perceives sound differently; voices change, bass dissipates, and the surround effect becomes less enveloping. Dynamic EQ adjusts the frequency response curve based on volume to maintain consistent bass output, octave-to-octave balance, and surround impact, resulting in rich sound at any volume. You can set the Dynamic EQ to 0, 5, 10, or 15 dB.
    • Audyssey Dynamic Volume: Audyssey Dynamic Volume solves the problem of large variations in volume level between television programs, commercials, and between the soft and loud passages of movies. Dynamic Volume addresses the issue of commercials that are too loud and movie soundtracks with vast differences between soft and loud passages; the results are more intelligible dialogue, loud passages maintain impact, and soft whispers are heard clearly. When the volume level changes, Dynamic EQ also adjusts the frequency response to maintain sound quality. You can set the Dynamic Volume to Day (low), Evening (middle), Midnight (high), or off.
    • Audyssey DSX (Dynamic Surround Expansion): Audyssey DSX is a scalable surround exposition system that adds new channels to improve the surround impression. Based on research in human hearing, Audyssey DSX add a pair of Wide channels in the front because that information is critical in the rendering of a realistic soundstage. Audyssey DSX then adds a pair of Height channels above the main front channels to reproduce the next most important acoustical and perceptual cues related to soundstage depth. In addition to creating these new channels, Audyssey DSX applies Surround Envelopment Processing to enhance the blend between the front and side/back surround channels. The result is a much more seamless and enveloping home theater experience.

Surround Parameters: You can adjust the following surround mode parameters:

    • Dolby Pro Logic II Music Settings: While listening in the Dolby Pro Logic II Music format, there are three further enhancements you can adjust:
      • Panorama: Broadens the front stereo image to the surround speakers to provide a wraparound effect, especially effective when there is limited output from the surround channels, panorama can be turned on/off in the menu.
      • Dimension: Allows you to move the sound field forward or backward.
      • Center Width: Allows you to adjust the width of the center channel.
    • Center Image: In the Neo:6 Music mode, the Center Image feature adjusts the output of the left and right channels relative to the center channel, allowing you to make the center channel more or less dominant as needed. This improves the image of the center channel, especially when the listener is off-center. Adjustment varies from 7 (nothing subtracted from the L/R channels) to 0 (L/R channel output is cut in half).
    • Height Gain: Adjust the volume (Low/Mid/High) of the Front Height channels in Dolby Pro Logic IIz.
    • Stage Height/Width: Adjust the sound stage width/height (+/-10dB) when using Front Height or Front Wide speaker in Audyssey DSX.

Stereo Modes: The Marantz SR6007 surround receiver also provides two-channel stereo and multi-channel stereo playback, as well a virtual surround from two stereo speakers.

    • 2CH Stereo: This is the mode for playing in 2-channel stereo; bass and treble can be adjusted and sound is output from the front left and right speakers, along with a connected subwoofer.
    • Multi-Channel Stereo: This mode lets you enjoy stereo sound from all speakers.
    • Virtual Speaker: Enjoy surround effects using only the front speakers or headphones.

Direct Modes: The Marantz SR6007 offers two Direct sound modes which offer high-quality sound by bypassing the receiver's DSP & video circuitry.

    • Source Direct: In this mode the 2ch audio signal is played in its original form, without any surround or tone processing. Multichannel audio signal is played in its original form, without any tone processing.
    • Pure Direct: This mode is for playback in higher sound quality than in Direct mode. The display and analog video circuitry are turned off to minimize the possibility of any noise being added to the signal.

M-DAX: Compressed audio formats such as MP3, WMA (Windows Media Audio) and MPEG-4 AAC reduce the amount of data by eliminating signal components that are hard for the human ear to hear. The M-DAX function generates the signals eliminated upon compression, restoring the sound to conditions near those of the original sound before compression. It also corrects the sense of volume of the bass to obtain richer sound with compressed audio signals.

HT-EQ: The tonal balance of a film soundtrack will be excessively bright and harsh when played back over audio equipment in the home. This is because film soundtracks were designed to be played back in large movie theater environments. Activating the receiver's HT-EQ feature when watching a film made from movie theaters corrects this and restores the correct tonal balance.

Dynamic Range Compression (DRC): Motion picture soundtracks have tremendous dynamic range (the contrast between very soft and very loud sounds). For listening late at night, or whenever the maximum sound level is lower than usual, Compressing the dynamic range allows you to hear all of the sounds in the soundtrack with reduced dynamic range. DRC works when playing program sources recorded in Dolby Digital or DTS.

Tone Settings: You can independently adjust the system's overall Bass and Treble settings from -6 to +6 dB. You can also fade the sound from front to rear, or vice-versa.

Level Adjustments:  The SR6007 provides the following level adjustments.

    • Source Level: This function adjusts the playback level of the currently selected input source's audio input. Use this feature if there are differences in the input volume levels between different sources. You can correct the playback level of the audio input from -12 to +12dB.
    • Dialogue Level: You can adjust the output level (+/-12dB) to clarify the dialogue output from the center channel.
    • Subwoofer Level: You can set the receiver's subwoofer output level (+/-12dB) independent from the other speaker levels and system's main volume.

Volume Settings: The SR6007 offers the following volume settings.

    • Volume Scale: You can choose to display an Absolute volume scale (0-98) or Relative volume scale (-79.5 to 18dB).
    • Volume Limit: You can set a maximum volume level of 0dB (80), -10dB (70), or -20dB (60) to limit the receiver's total volume output.
    • Turn-On Volume: You can define the volume setting that is active when the power is turned on (0, 1-98, -79 to +18dB, or Last)
    • Mute Level: You can set the amount of attenuation for the audio muting circuit; -40dB or -20dB below current volume, or full mute (sound turned off entirely).

Tone Control: You can adjust the receiver's Bass and Treble (+/-6db) independently to suit your listening taste or room acoustics.

Audio Inputs/Outputs: The Marantz AV receiver offers a variety of analog and digital audio inputs/outputs.

    • Assignable Digital Inputs: The SR6007 features two optical digital (Toslink) inputs and two coaxial digital inputs. Each input can be assigned to any of the different input sources except Tuner.
    • Phono Input: The Marantz SR6007 is fitted with a Phono input (MM), so you can connect your turntable and listen to your vinyl records with high-quality sound.
    • 7.1 Channel Input: The SR6007 features a 7.1 Channel input (Front left, Front right, Center, Surround left, Surround right, Surround Back left, Surround Back right and Subwoofer) for connecting a DVD Audio player, Super Audio CD multi-channel player, or other component that has a multi-channel port so you can playback the audio with 5.1 channel or 7.1 channel surround sound. If you will not be using the 7.1 channel input with a multi-channel decoder, you can use the front and left inputs as an auxiliary input.
    • 7.2ch Pre-Out: The A/V receiver features 7.2ch pre-amp outputs (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Surround Back L/R, and Dual Subs) for connection to external power amplifiers.
    • Speaker Terminals: The receiver has binding-post terminals for all speaker connections. The binding-post terminals can accept bare wire, pin connectors, and banana plugs (single only). The receiver will accept speaker impedances of 6 to 8-ohm.
    • Dual Subwoofer Outputs: An additional subwoofer output proves especially useful in large room settings where one subwoofer may not provide adequate low-frequency output.
    • Headphone Output: The receiver features a 1/4" stereo headphone jack on its front panel for connecting a pair of optional headphones. The unit's speakers will automatically be turned off when a set of headphones are connected.

    • Remote In/Out: These RCA input/output connectors allow you to connect the SR6007 to a Marantz component equipped with remote control (RC-5) terminals.
    • Flasher In: This 3.5mm input is used to control the SR6007 from an external key-pad (sold separately).
    • DC Trigger Output: The DC trigger output (3.5mm) allows you to connect an external device so it can be turned on by the SR6007.
    • RS-232C: The RS-232C port is to be used in conjunction with an external controller to control the operation of the unit by using an external device. The RS-232C port may also be used in the future to update the operating software of the unit so that it will be able to support new digital audio formats.

Marantz Remote App: The Marantz Remote App lets you control the Marantz Network A/V receiver using your Apple iOS (4.3 or later) or Android device. This free Remote App lets you control the Marantz A/V receiver's basic functions (power, volume, input, surround modes) from your Apple iOS or Android device. The multi-zone control page of the Remote App lets you adjust power, volume and input selection for all zones from a single screen (when applicable). You can even navigate the A/V receiver's network and Internet content from your compatible Apple iOS or Android device. For added convenience, there are eight customizable home screen short cut buttons that allow you to tailor the look and function of the Marantz Remote App to suit your needs.

Note: Download the free Marantz Remote App from the iTunes App Store for the iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad (iOS 4.3 or later). Or, download the free Marantz Remote App from the Android Market for your compatible Android device (1.5-up). The AV receiver will need to be connected to the same network as your Apple iOS or Android device.

Bluetooth Adapter (optional): Through its proprietary M-Xport, the SR6007 offers Bluetooth capability. Simply add the optional RX101 Bluetooth adaptor (642RX101, sold separately) to the SR6007 and you can play the music stored on any Bluetooth-enabled portable device (your iPhone, iPod Touch, or PDA for example) through your home theater system. The optional RX101 doubles as an IR (infrared) receiver so you can place all your components out of sight and still maintain full remote control.
