Posi-Products connectors help make your electrical connections fast, easy, and reliable with no crimping, soldering, or messy tape. Just strip your stranded wires, insert them in the caps, and then hand tighten the two caps together the wire ends get locked between opposing cone shapes to create a water-, dirt-, vibration-, and heat-proof housing. You get a strong, low-resistance electrical connection, and you can reuse the connectors, too.
Posi-Twist connectors replace old-fashioned wire nuts and crimp caps with stronger, more reliable connections.
This package contains 18 twist connectors for 14- to 24-gauge wires. Warranty: 30 days.

Great way to get a quick robust connection without solder
I will never use anything else again to connect my stereo harness to my vehicles. This is so much easier than soldering, and works way better than the standard wire nuts.
Quick, easy and secure.
Pros: Quick Easy Secure
Very cool connectors, whipped right through the 20 or so connections! Seems to be very well designed.
Pros: Easy to use, seems to be a very tight connection. Price is right.
Posi connectors really are awesome. Major time saver. If you're not sure exactly what you're in for on an install, I'd always throw some of these in the cart. They just come in handy.
Pros: Work really well. Hard to create a short
Cons: Wish they still made the butt splice version with wire entry on opposite ends. That one was my favorite.
Work great ,holds and stays way better than standard twist cap style ,reusable and no solder pains
Pros: Easy to do
They were perfect, just what I needed. Easy to use.
Pros: Easy to use, excellent concept, reusable!
Cons: A little on the pricey side
Loved the idea of these connectors. Was hoping that this would be my new go-to product given all the good reviews. Two pieces that lock together capturing the wire. Sounded like we couldn't go wrong. My experience was not so good. In reality you have to be careful how you put these together. My first issue is that there is no metal inside the top of the connector like there is in most wire nuts. Just a plastic bottom and a plastic top. So if your wires do not end up tightly pressed together, there is no other conductor to help out. My next issue is that the small diagram on the back of the box does not really convey that you need to put a lot of wire through the bottom part of the connector. At first I put about 1/4 inch through the top of the cap and we ended up with a bunch of bad connections. I would recommend that at least 1/2 inch of twisted bare wire be exposed through the bottom cap before you install the top cap. My last issue is that you need to be very careful how you move the connectors around. I will admit that this true with any connector but I found that in wrapping our wire bundle with tape, we pulled one of the wire pairs back slightly in the connector and the connection failed. Didn't find that out until the whole installation was back in the car. Double check everything before you button up the install. Product ended up working but you need to be aware of the limitations. I will probably go back to solder in the future.
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: No metal in cap to help making connection. Pulls apart fairly easily.
This is a great little product that makes connection a snap. Simple insert the bare wire ends and screw together. What could be easier?? Sure beats the twist style wire connectors.
As far as how they hold, they're excellent. But they are too bulky for auto application.straight crimp connectors are better. These are more suited for home sttero applications.
They work as advertised and make a strong connection!
Simple and easy product to use. Makes a good solid connection that I could not pull apart. Much better than the crimp on connectors.
Pros: quick, easy, good connection.
Best Product for new radio install, or any wire repair job
Pros: I have used Posi-lock for many year never had a fail
I cut my time of connecting cables in half. Much quicker than crimping and light years quicker than soldering. Only think is not sure how well it will hold up over time.
Pros: Quick and not much prep
Cons: Can be a little hard to screw together all the way..
Easy to use. Can be used over and works good with fine speaker wire.
Pros: Simple to use and makes a good connection.
Fast shipping, worked well for splicing new harness to existing harness in boat in
Pros: Worked well
The connectors did a good job and did not come lose.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Too large. I would like to have has smaller connectors
The Posi Products Wire Connectors made extending speaker wires a breeze.
Pros: Very simple to install, does the job.
These connectors work great. I would rather solder if possible but this would be my next choice.
Pros: Quick No Tools Needed
Worked as I expected it to. Like the fact that I can take out the stereo easily and reuse on new one or in current vehicle. I would definitely buy again and recommend to others.
Pros: Easy to use, reusable
I bought these on a whim
Pros: Easy to use nice clean finished installation
Cons: A little bit pricey but overall worth it
I prefer PIDG crimp connectors for more permanent connection. These are great twist connectors.
These are the best and strongest connectors out there. I love they are reusable if you make a mistake or want to change components later. These make your car stereo install a snap. Strip your wire, twist your wires together, install the butt, screw on the cap. thats it. You can't find these at a stereo shop yet and I can't figure that one out. I wished I had bought more.
Pros: Simple design, strong, idiot proof
The easiest way to wire up your radio harness
Really made making connections for my new radio easy!
Saved Time and made the connection of wires SIMPLE... Worth the money!!
Great product - these are for combining wires, however, so make sure that you might not actually be better off using the Posi-Taps; I ended up not using any of these on my indash install.
These are definitely much easier and faster than soldering. They work exactly as they say they do. Very snug fit too.
These connectors were SO convenient. Traditional crimp connectors are a pain to install and an even bigger pain to remove. These connectors make hook-ups easy and fast, as well as making mistakes easy to fix! I used these to connect my receiver to my adapter. It took all of five minutes and I was done!
When it comes to car stereo installation, it's either I don't have much time or I'm too lazy to break out the solder gun, so these work out great. You just strip off the insulation from you wires, twist them together and slide them in the hole and attach the bottom half and you have a snug connection. If you make a mistake in your wiring and need to troubleshoot, all you have to do is unscrew and take the wires apart. They can be reused many times, so a package will last through many different car stereos or cars whichever you go through fastest!
Overview: Posi-Twist connectors replace old-fashioned wire nuts and crimp caps with stronger, more reliable connections. Just strip the stranded wires, insert them into the cap, and then hand tighten the two pieces together - the wire ends are locked between opposing cone shapes to create a dirt-, vibration-, and heat-proof housing. The connectors are also reusable.
Wire Gauge Compatibility: When used with 2 to 8 wires, each Posi-Twist connector is compatible with 14- to 24-gauge wire. If you want to cap off a single wire, each Posi-Twist connector is compatible with a single 12-gauge wire. The number of wires that can be used with each connector depends on the wire's gauge:
|Number of Wires||Wire Gauge|
|2 to 3||16|
|2 to 4||18|
|2 to 5||20|
|2 to 6||22|
|2 to 8||24|

well I bought a head unit and a sub from you guys. Then I needed some help figuring out a few things with my broader setup and Brent from tech support was so excellent that I have decided from here on out I only buy this type of gear from Crutchfield going forward. I selected this amp kit as it seems that it'll serve my needs and the other bits in this order are all in support of wiring up an amp and some other speakers I already have.
