Shopping for a 4K TV with an awesome picture? Here's something to keep in mind. Nearly all of LG's 2017 OLED 4K TV lineup use the exact same panel and video processing. The OLED65C7P is one of their lowest-priced 65" OLED TVs this year, and it delivers the same spectacular, award-winning picture as LG's higher-priced OLED models.
OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. The OLED screen material is an organic substance that glows when it's activated by an electric current. The screen's pixel layer is made of this self-illuminating carbon-based material — each pixel is its own light source which can be independently switched on and off, so there's no need for a backlight with all its limitations.
Each and every OLED pixel — actually every sub-pixel — can switch off completely, producing absolute black. It's this ability that gives OLED it's unbeatable contrast and black levels. LG's OLED design also delivers brilliant colors. In typical TVs, each pixel is made up of three sub-pixels — red, green and blue — to create the color palette. LG's 4 Color Pixel technology adds a white sub-pixel to enhance both color range and brightness.
Actually, LG's 2017 OLED models achieve 25% higher peak brightness than last year's models, and offer a larger color palette. The OLED65C7P vividly demonstrates the extraordinary realism of the latest 4K content, both streamed and on 4K Blu-ray. And if you often watch TV with family or friends, you'll be impressed at the way OLED images maintain exceptional contrast and color even for viewers seated off to the sides.
Lately, TV makers have shifted their focus from building TVs with more pixels, to technologies that result in better pixels that produce more vivid, colorful, and lifelike images. The most important of these is HDR (High Dynamic Range), which expands the picture contrast range with both deeper blacks and brighter highlights. You can find HDR-enhanced streamed video content from Netflix® and Amazon Instant Video, and on virtually every 4K Blu-ray movie.
The OLED65C7P not only supports the required HDR 10 format, but also the more sophisticated Dolby Vision™ format, which is a dynamic system that is able to adjust brightness and color levels in response to the video signal on a scene-by-scene basis. LG's Active HDR circuitry analyzes and optimizes HDR 10 content scene by scene, bringing it closer to what Dolby Vision achieves.
The '65C7P's built-in web apps give you instant access to a nearly limitless selection of entertainment including streamed video from services like Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu. The colorful webOS 3.5 user interface lets you customize your home screen to access the apps you use most, and easily switch between them.
LG's motion-sensing Magic Remote is simple and fun to use. You can point, click, scroll and even speak into the remote to find exactly what you want, searching across apps, movies, TV shows and the web, all at the same time.

Average Customer Review(s):
Pros: Like the magic wand for settings & control
Best picture available. Hope it lasts as long as my Panasonic plasma.
Pros: Picture, streaming, web OS.
Cons: Newer product, not sure about longevity.
I debated whether to try to repair my 10-year old Samsung DLP set that started getting frozen pixels. I couldn't imagine that a new set would be such an improvement. But after lots of research and considering options, I couldn't resist this LG OLED. And I still cannot believe how terrific the picture is. Of course, there's the true blacks that define the OLED sets that everyone raves about, but the overall display is unbelievable. I especially like the 65C7P because of the tiny black bezel surrounding the screen, making it virtually disappear when the room is darkened. Sports, nature (e.g. Blue Planet), TV shows (e.g. Game of Thrones and Blacklist), and everything else is beyond jaw-dropping amazing. We're drawn to re-watch some of our old favorites because of the totally immersive display. Needless to say, I now have absolutely no regrets parting ways with my old DLP set. Impressive how thin the set is compared to the hulking, bulky DLP. No wonder this set was top-rated 2017 set by many reviewers--and was second only to the very pricey W7C series LG. Only small downside was that the stand wasn't quite high enough to provide room for my center channel speaker without obscuring the very bottom of the picture. Addition of an inexpensive TV stand solved the issue and we're totally thrilled with this set. Wouldn't be an issue with a wall mount, of course.
Pros: Lovely set with pure blacks and dazzling colors Ultra-thin black bezel blends in and virtually disappears in a darkened room Home theater set-up now really feels like a theater with this superlative picture.
Cons: Stand is a little too short for use with center channel speaker or a soundbar, but easily remedied with an inexpensive TV/Monitor stand that adds 3-4 inches to the TV height
The display on the OLED 4k LG's are quite literally "the best" and are super great, but it is worth noting that if using the base for this unit, there's a very substantial amount of wobbling forward and back. This is caused because it's held on with four tiny screws right under the very middle of the TV, and the whole glass panel can flex back and forth several inches in each direction. I'm not particularly worried about it, but I would have expected better engineering from LG here. If wall mounted, it uses different connection points that are spread further apart. The display is why you buy this TV, and is everything you might think it would be and more. The navigation in the menus is solid, and the SmartTV features (Amazon, Netflix, others) all work as expected.
Pros: Picture quality is outstanding, 4k, OLED, Smart TV features, good menus/navigation/remote
Cons: Exceptionally wobbly if you push on the top but is probably fine
Truly great TV and Crutchfield a great seller. The TV shipped quickly, and their delivery provider called multiple times to update on their delivery time. Crutchfield even honored their Price Guarantee when the price dropped $100 after I bought it. You can buy this TV from anyone, but you should buy from Crutchfield. This is the first time I've even used them, and I will be back! As to the TV, you can read reviews everywhere. But get it home, and you will see how spectacular the picture really is. There are endless adjustments you can make to set it perfectly for your room, but the standard options are effective too. Despite its size, the TV is much lighter than I expected and easy to install.
Beautiful picture. Mostly intuitive set up. On screen movement requires calibration to eliminate artifacts and jarring motion, which is disappointing compared to my old plasma but not abnormal for OLEDs. I love the quality. It's unfortunate that it requires a professional calibration to get it right.
Pros: Amazing blacks, whites and color depth. Bright picture.
Cons: To get it right, you may need a professional to calibrate it for your home.
THE BEST I EVER SEEN.
Pros: Great picture and sound
This is a magnificent set. Everything I could have hoped for!
So far I'm loving the 65" C7. Not to mention Crutchfield is the best. Great to work with, awesome customer service and fast shipping.
The colors pop at you with every scene change. Contrast is superb! We were watching Victoria on PBS and the candle lite scenes were just unbelievably realistic for the period.
Pros: Price for value Contrast
I've only had this tv for a week as of this review. So far it has been outstanding. The picture is amazing and the sound quality is great as well. It has multiple settings to fine tune the picture and even a equalizer for the sound if you choose.
Pros: Awesome picture and great sound.
Great picture, although it requires some tweaking. Sound sometimes maybe choppy when passing from DirecTV box ->TV->sound bar. Apps store is missing essential apps - HBO, DirecTV Now; not DirecTV rvu certified
Cons: Need an external box for HBO and DirecTV
Fantastic picture & very good stock sound!
Awesome picture! Best television I've ever owned. Even the audio is impressive.
Pros: Easy setup. Amazing picture. Internal speakers are the best I've ever heard.
I've had this for several weeks. I love the picture quality and the styling (thin bezel and even thinner profile, cool stand). 4k Blu Rays look awesome and 1080 Blu Rays look obviously better than on my old 46" Sony. Contrast is outstanding. Audio is routed through a receiver, so I have no comments in that regard. Lack of 3d is my only complaint, but it's not that big a deal. As long as I don't encounter any problems, I will be quite happy. One perhaps obvious warning: even though it doesn't weight very much, you need (at least) two people to move this around.
Pros: Picture (contrast, color); styling (bezel, profile, stand)
Cons: Hard to move (duh!); uncertainty about long-term reliability; a bit pricey?
Outstanding picture. Very happy with purchase.
Pros: Great Picture
Cons: Set up with Harmony remote
Outstanding picture, clear, crisp just all around beautiful. Quick easy set-up
Pros: easy set-up, beautiful picture and price is good.
Cons: none at this time.
The LG OLED C7/E7, along with the 2016 C6/E6 are at the top of ratings lists for a TV used for gaming or PC monitor, where refresh rate & input lag are very important. Combine that with CNET's review along the lines that it was the best TV they ever tested, Consumer Report's top rating as well, and all the screens between the models are actually identical, I finally pulled the trigger. The difference is remarkable. The screen is more vibrant due to the deep blacks same as if the TV were off and individual pixels light up. The refresh rate has notably fixed my issue with images with text moving on the screen that is now legible. I also was sold on the C7's very good sound quality as rated by Consumer Reports, actually rating better than the E7 with sound bar. With Atmos, I actually thought it sounded really good. I do have a surround system I use for movies & games, but for ordinary TV, I usually like the TV speakers. And wow this thing is thin. At first I found my eyes hurt a little while playing games initially. Then I turned off automatic energy saving and just put it on standard picture, and it brightened up and was wonderful. I loved it so much I bought another to replace my 52" LCD TV in my living room. My 2nd had an audio sync issue with HDMI input from my Tivo that would drift off considerably over time vs optical out to my sound system was just fine. It was exchanged and the 3rd was better, but not quite perfect. I bought a sound bar. Still very h
Pros: Stellar Picture Quality, very good built-in sound, excellent built in OS, applications, and streaming, super thin and unimposing, very stable on its stand, easy remote.
Cons: Audio sync on HDMI inputs (at least from my Tivo) can drift off ridiculously over time, cannot solve by audio sync config, but much better after exchanging sets, and a new firmware update that isn't stated to help but seems to, and can buy a sound bar that can take the sound input directly completely solves it if it crops up. No issue on my 1st set, and my 3rd is "fine". I am keeping both.
This OLED TV is great i wish it change source by i shelf.
The LG OLED 65C7P is simply outstanding. Bottom line up front: it is the best TV I have ever owned, hands down. Picture quality is amazing. Black levels are unreal. Colors are vibrant. Magic remote and menu interface is natural and cool to boot. Really not much else to say. Anyone who purchases this TV will not be disappointed.
Excellent picture quality. Looks absolutely beautiful. Very easy to set up. Initially thought it had a lip sync issue but after the automatic update, it seems to have resolved. Very intuitive remote control which works beautifully with Verizon Fios, once you learn all the quirks. The TV was packed very carefully inside the carton and easily survived the UPS delivery! Excellent service from Crutchfield.
The LG OLED65C7P is the BEST TV currently on the market. It is easy to combine with the Top Rated Sonos surround sound system (Playbase, wireless Play1's with stands and Sub woofer) for truly unmatched picture and sound. I discovered that Crutchfield has the best sales advisors (I worked with Zac) and great Free Technical backup.
Pros: Highest Rated Products Best Picture and Sound Easy Setup Free Shipping No Sales Tax Great Advisors Free Technical Support Great Customer Service Excellent Communication
The best tv I've ever owned!!!! Picture quality is a 10 out of 10. I was nervous about the sound quality, but it isn't bad at all. It was also VERY well packaged!!! Don't worry about having this tv shipped. A gorilla could do a river dance on the box and the tv would be fine. Thanks for another perfect transaction Crutchfield.
Received this product on 12/15/2017, out of box and setup on 12/17/2017. TV played for about 5hrs and then the screen went Blank no picture and no way of finding out what might have gone wrong. Trying to work with LG to get it repaired or replaced it is not an easy process. I am so disappointed with LG to think they would sent out a product that cost $2699.99 and not be sure it would work properly. I could have purchased the product locally and at the very lease I could have taken it back got a replacement now I am stuck with this piece of junk until someone repairs it. Very unhappy customer will not buy any product that cost the much online again.
Pros: Shipping and tracking great.
Cons: Defective Product Terrible, one may want to think twice before you purchase an LG OLED TV.Crutchfield response on 12/20/2017 Our Customer Support team reached out to James for a follow-up. If you encounter a problem with anything you purchase from Crutchfield, it's important to contact our Customer Support or Tech Support teams right away. They can help you solve the problem or set up a return/exchange within 60 days of purchase.
Outstanding picture and easy to set it all up.
I am struck by the sharpness of the images, as well as the sound from the TV's speakers. While I had initially considered the E7, the C7 has more than met my expectations even without a separate sound bar.
Pros: Great picture Very good sound Simple, uncomplicated look
Cons: The VESA holes are a little low on the TV for my pre-existing fixed location mount.
Extremely happy with this purchase. The 65" screen provides almost twice the picture size than the SONY it replaces. The color is superb and the picture sharp as was expected from an OLED. The sound quality is merely ok, but this unit is augmented by a sound bar which is a far superior way to go. The remote has proven to be quite flexible with its functionality. The primary issue was a irritating "dark picture" out of the box that was resolved with LG's help by turning off the "energy saving" feature, and setting the picture quality to "vivid". This feature should probably be turned off before shipping.
I love the picture and quality and great service
Great TV. I think best value in its class.
picture is dark/ not clear/ not sharp enough
Cons:Crutchfield response on 12/13/2017 This customer contacted our Customer Support team and exchanged for another TV. Purchases from Crutchfield can be returned or exchanged within 60 days.
Great picture, replaced 10 yr. Panasonic plasma.
Simply a beautiful set.
Fantastic picture, easy set up, all around great tv. Buying from Crutchfield was a great experience; price, service and delivery.
Picture quality is phenomenal. Sound is excellent.
Really a spectacular picture... seeing it on our wall compared to what we had previously makes me pleased with the purchase. The setup takes a while to get the picture to where it really pops, but there are guides online for optimal settings that speed the up. The "magic remote" is also very nice. I was planning on using a Logitech Harmony, but ended up returning the Harmony because the Magic Remote is so nice. I did pair it with a soundbar, though, because the sound ain't great (like most TVs).
Pros: Picture Remote Appearance
Cons: Sound quality
Best ever. Bar none
Cons: Little difficult setting up 5.1 Sonos audio system
This tv is spectacular to say the least! The picture quality is second to none. It is also easy to wall mount. Even though the tv is more expensive than the many 65" tv's available, it is worth every penny!
Massive difference from my 10 year old plasma. HDR and the color improvement is a much more significant difference than expected, moreso than the 4K resolution. One surprise: it was apparently necessary to explicitly enable HDR on each HDMI input
Absolutely outstanding picture ! If you can swing the price, this is the one to buy, FYI, I used a Sanus MLT14 mount and I found that without the spacers, its very tight to the wall making it difficult at best to tighten the angle clamps (or plug in that cable you forgot to do before you put it on the wall). I put it back using the spacers and 6 X 35MM screws supplied with the mount and all is okay. Also, someone stated that the lower mounting screw holes are 4" from the bottom. That is incorrect. They are 8" from the bottom.
Pros: What can I say ? It's performance is AWESOME !
Cons: None really. There is a bit of a learning curve to navigating with the remote, but you'll get the hang of it. There's always Crutchfield tech support if you need help (yes, they know what they're doing.
Best TV ever!
Great picture and user friendly remote to OPERATE the Direct TV as well as the TV
Pros: Size, picture and view angle. Great and speedy delivery
It is all that I expected
I have just had this TV for about 2 weeks. Very easy set up procedure.
Pros: Easy set up. Like all TV's you will need to learn how to access the menus, but I found this to be rather easy. Beautiful picture. More lifelike than my previous plasma.
Cons: None really. You will need a second person to help lift the TV. Otherwise connections etc are a one man job.
Amazing TV. Looks great minutes on the wall. Aps load really quickly. I replaced a 2 year old Samsung and couldn't be happier.
Pros: Picture quality Application speed
Cons: Doesn't have hbo go as a built in ap
The first setting you need to change is the "energy saver option". Set it to "off". The picture is simply amazing. The color is so vivid, the clarity is unmatched, and the contrast gives the picture a 3D effect. I have owned HD tv"s (Sony, Samsung), for many years but, this one puts those to shame.
Pros: amazing picture, great design
Great picture quality, rich colors although in very bright light the picture seems a little darker than my old Samsung. Needed to purchase a separate optical digital audio cable to connect my surround sound system. Love it so far!
Pros: Picture, rich true colors, easy set up and very thin screen.
Cons: Not a big deal at all, but takes two people to set up. Also should save packaging so when you need to move you have the materials to safely move this very nice tv :)
Great Picture-- easy initial set-up----easy navigation to change picture preference and easy connection to other AV or Video equipment.
Exceeded expectations. I had checked out TVs at local retail store before purchasing from Crutchfield and knew LG OLED was what I wanted. After receiving and calibrating TV to settings found from google search, movies in dark room are jaw-on-the-floor amazing. Image has high-contrast, 3D look about it, and there are moments where I can feel my brain reconciling if it is reality or TV. Using 4K Apple TV and 10 year old sound bar...HDMI-link controls everything from LG remote including on-off (awesome). Built-in speakers actually pretty clear (when baby/wife asleep). Thin, attractive on LG wall mount-really no complaints!
Pros: Amazing image, nice design
Cons: if I had to search for fault...menu system a little more convoluted than needs to be. When changing picture settings, etc., have to dig into a few sub-menus. Once set up, however, this isn't really relevant.
Excellent picture and clarity
Great service...A great picture!!
Pros: Totally satisfied with the entire picture and sound setup
This TV lives up to the raving online reviews. The picture quality is amazing, and the blacks are actually as dark as when the TV is off. You can't get that anywhere else. This TV has the best picture on the market today. Its unbelievable how good it looks. The B7, C7, E7, G7, and W7 all have the exact same picture so you can't go wrong with any of those. Right now LG OLED's are simply the best TV's you can buy. Our other considerations were Sony OLED's, Samsung QLED's, and all the brand name UHD and SUHD TV's with HDR. After a little research it was clear we were getting the LG OLED 65 B7A or C7P. The B7 is a better deal, but I prefer the aesthetics of the C7. If you want an amazing OLED tv at a much lower price tag than this one, get the 55inch. Its about 1k less.
Pros: Picture quality Super thin Small bezel Black trim around edges. (B7A is silver trim) Stand is very nice TV looks great and will gets lots of compliments from your friends OLED Darkest blacks possible HDR
Cons: Price Must handle with care b/c its so thin and could be damaged easily Takes two people to set up or move You will want to save all the packaging for when you move to a new home, which means saving a 65 inch box.
GREAT TV HAS EVERYTHING YOU WANT
Great picture, especially when combined with a 4K Blu-ray player. The picture is truly amazing. The setup was simple with following the instructions, although the screen is so thin, I was nervous. The setup was quite easy and intuitive.
Pros: Picture, user interface, ease of setup
Cons: can't think of one yet
We struggled for 8 years to find a set that rivals the PQ of our Panasonic THX-certified and calibrated plasma. Nothing matches an emissive panel TV, and nothing LCD/LED matched our plasma, not even QLED. Even early generation OLEDs struggled to match plasma for brightness, and were trouble-prone. Until the 2017 LG OLEDs. The C7 offers everything that a top plasma does, but with even blacker blacks (no cover glass diffusion), much tighter picture definition under 4k, and 1/5 the energy consumption and without fans. PQ is SOTA. And just like plasma, the C7 provides a nearly unlimited viewing angle and exceptional motion processing. Picture brightness is surprisingly strong for an emissive panel. The C7 series is not without its faults. Sound is merely average, but is easily cured with a good sound bar (such as LG's SJ8, specifically designed to fit the C7s). A substandard media file or cabling will cause processing glitches as localized flashes. This set does experience image retention. An Apple TV 4k left static for more than 3 minutes left a temporary artifact that passed after 5 minutes. We are breaking in ours the same as a plasma: avoid static images, letter boxing, overly hot images (use cinema mode), and run regular panel rejuvenation cycles for the first 250-500 hours. And get an extended warranty. On balance, the C7 is the SOTA in television PQ today. It is a worthy successor to plasma, and the set for plasma owners finally r
Pros: SOTA picture quality, contrast, color gradients. Outstanding viewing angle and motion processing. Surprisingly good picture brightness.
Cons: Sound is average. Image retention. Glitchy on poor content and substandard cables.
Outstanding picture and audio quality, even in bright light. Very simple set up (just one HDMI connection) and the remote is quite responsive. I've had this TV for 2 months now and have nothing but great things to say about it.
Pros: Picture and audio quality, easy set up.
Cons: Of course it would be nice if it were less expensive!
Has a beautiful picture, and access to Netflix, Amazon and Hulu via the internet directly on the TV. I have it mounted on a wall and am using my receiver and speakers for sound and to convey the cable box, Roku and my DVD player output.
Pros: Picture 4K Netflix and Amazon, and Hulu, available on TV. Crutchfield special price.
Cons: Couldn't use LG wall mount - position depends on position of wall studs.
Yep, pretty amazed! Initially impressed, but then I turned off energy saver, put on HDR, and played some Amazon HDR content, and its simply stunning.
You have to see it to believe it. The solid blacks and the colors are amazing. I saved a little money by not buying a sound bar. The TV speakers sound great to me. Maybe someday I try external speakers but really don't feel like I have to. But the main draw to this TV has to be the picture, fantastic.
Pros: Unbelievable picture quality, Good sound without sound-bar, Easy Install, Super thin, Very easy set up with Magic Remote
Cons: Makes your other tv's seem terrible.
The TV is superb. Takes awhile to catch on to the magic remote, but that's not a negative.
Pros: Picture, controls, smart tv features.
I ordered this TV last month to prepare for the Xbox One X and finally embark in 4k. This TV is SOO worth the money! The TV itself has nice Netflix and other buttons to get right into 4k content easily. Then the other apps installed like Youtube, Vudu, etc all do 4k for some content. The picture is crystal clear. If you buy it, BE SURE TO TURN OFF ENERY SAVER! I didn't find that setting for about 30 minutes and couldn't figure out why the white's were like orange. So I read some expert tuning reviews and that was the first thing to do. Another tip. If you have an older receiver like I do and do not want to spend another $400 on a new one, then use the HDMI2 ARC functionality. Read up on it and everything plugs into your TV, then flows to the receiver for sound. Pretty simple. The Xbox One X looks fantastic on this 65'' LG C7P. I bought it because most of the experts said this TV and OLED is the best for 4k gaming. They were not lying. There is virtually no lag, no blurring, and the HDR looks so good. Highly recommend this TV!!
Pros: Great for gaming, easily jump into 4k content with built-in apps, no blurring, ARC to play sound through receiver
Cons: None that I can see yet.
Best there is. Period. This is my 3rd one.
Pros: Solid blacks, great color, great for streaming, gaming, etc.
I've been considering the LG 65C7P for a while, looked at other brands and finally ordered it. Couldn't be happier. I purchased an OPPO. Blue ray player and the combination is outstanding, not to mention the outstanding service from Crutchfield. Thank you much.
Pros: Picture is outstanding, very easy to connect and setup. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but everything works as anticipated.
Cons: Nothing at this point.
This has been rated model number two in its overall ratings. You cannot go wrong with this winner by a leading review magazine.
Pros: Breathtaking colors and perfect picture no matter what angle you are viewing from.
When we first got our LG 65" OLED tv we LOVED it. The picture was barr none. Now, 18 months later we are soooo disappointed. It has developed significant burn in problems from stations that have locked in logos or tele taping info across the bottom of the screen. We paid thousands for a defective tv. Oh, and LG does NOT stand behind their warranty regarding this defect. If we could get our money back, we would definitely buy a Samsung. Wish we could give LG -0- stars!!!
Pros: Good picture when we first purchased it
Cons: Buyer beware...has significant burn in not warranted by LG
Intuitive, easy-to-learn user interface and remote. Picture perfect.
Pros: Picture quality; user interface; remote
Love this TV personally. The available netflix button on the remote is a slam dunk and works wonderful on the TV + I get to save money by not using the ps4 anymore :) ! The beautiful contrast and nice blacks make everything else POP as well. Just saw my 2nd movie on 4k and it got even better after a few adjustments to my preference. This tv is beautiful and user friendly Also have it with the SJ9 soundbar and the sound quality is even more amazing but i have to give it to the internal speakers of the tv they work wonderful and not for nothing sound like a sound bar themselves. Overall I do recommend!
After researching 4K TV's for a few weeks, I knew that OLED was the way to go so the only question was which LG 4K OLED to choose. I have a great surround system so the C7 was the best choice (didn't need the soundbar on the higher priced versions which was the only difference). Amazing picture, extremely thin and very lightweight. Best TV I have ever purchased and Crutchfield is the best place to buy a TV from.
Pros: Picture quality Lightweight
Picture is fantastic. Everything about the tv is great outside issues I am having with ARC and my onkyo receiver.
Pros: Picture, video options
Cons: Arc issues
the blacks are perfect on this TV. wow! I love it.
Pros: unbelievable picture.
Cons: I cant put the TV in all my rooms.
Absolutely phenomenal and you cannot beat their customer service tech-support
Outstanding picture quality, blacks are equal to the plasma's but with greater depth and resolution of overall picture. I replaced a 58" plasma with the 65C7P. I watch a lot of sports and had seen some reviews that reported some blurring in fast action but I have not experienced any on my LG.
Pros: Picture quality
Cons: picture setting can be a little daunting
I did a lot of research and this TV was always on the top of the lists. Then I researched on-line authorized LG dealers and Crutchfield's was highly rated. Bottom line the TV is awesome, easy set up, very clear picture, etc. Crutchfield's was fantastic, great customer service, shipping as advertised, no problems. Also they had the best price of authorized LG dealers, if you factor in no tax, free shipping, gift card and award points. I will differently purchase from Crutchfield's in the future and recommend them.
Pros: There are so many PROS cannot list them all. This TV lives up to all of the great reviews, and may exceed them.
Cons: For me there was a learning curve. Lots of screens and apps etc. Cannot get remote to turn on and off my sound bar. No major cons, little stuff.
Perfect service and product
I bought this to replace my 5 year old Samsung Plasma which died and for which parts are no longer available and I am not disappointed. This LG OLED is a fantastic TV. Colors are bright and really pop and the picture is crystal clear. While I was pleased with my Samsung, this LG blows it away.
Pros: Crystal clear picture, colors very bright
Cons: A bit pricey
Last tv I bought was around 10 years ago which is a Samsung 1080 p set which is still good but was looking for something in the 4k area and when I researched I chose this 1. Great picture quality and a lot of more settings that I'm used to so I'm still tweaking the set to my liking (just got this a few weeks ago). The 4k is the best I've ever seen on a set. There are a few problem areas like setting up sound to my receiver under their aps but I'm sure that I'll work them out (needing a longer optical cable to my receiver which is on its way and also need a new receiver for dolby atmos). Great customer service and no problems with the shipping.
Pros: great set and would highly recommend.
Amazing picture and very good sound. The blacks are true. Issues (if I need something to complain about): - the speakers are pointing down, so do not let it stand on a carpet -- you will have difficulty hearing anything. - no headphone jack - installation is a bit problematic if you do not have an extra pair of hands. While the tv is not heavy, it's awkward to grab and move around.
This TV is beautiful! The screen is gorgeous, the back is simple, intuitive, and easy to work with. I literally had the TV up in 15 minutes and was watching 5 minutes later. Amazing.
Well designed television. The controls are great and the adjustments are very thorough. Works very well with my Oppo blue ray player. The ARC channel always connects. In the week and a half I have had it, I have nothing to complain about.
Pros: picture quality, design, menu structure
Cons: There is a bit of a learning curve although it is not a long one.
Hands down the best TV I have ever owned... The picture is incredible!
This TV gives a great 4K picture and upscaled 1080 & 720 very well. Motion is not an issue. My only complaint is that it will drop Dolby Digital 5.1 through the optical out randomly. Since I have a Sonos system this is a big problem unless you just want PCM. I am hoping a future firmware upgrade will correct this. Time will tell.
Would like the base to swivel. That would help when setting it up. TV Sits lower than I am used to. Picture is the best I have ever seen. Blacks are the blackest!
Really great video. Built in speakers are better than average. Set up was rather easy.
BEST BEST TV and the Crutchfield team!
There is no doubt that this LG OLED has a great picture. The blacks on this TV are incredible and when paired with a 4K source are truly theater equivalent. I've noticed some issues with rapid motion in animated material and one scene in a HD movie. I'm not sure what the technical term is for the motion aberration is but it's only mildly distracting. I am taking off a star for the OLED's stand. The television tilts backwards when mounted on the supplied stand. I complained to LG and LG sent a replacement aluminum base. The new aluminum base did not solve the tilt. I've included photos of the tilt and one of my BD Avion furniture showing that the floor and furniture are level.
Fantastic Picture, best that I've seen. Lip synch is fine when using my surround sound system but not always perfect with built in speakers even though there is a degree of adjustment available. Composite video port only delivers sound (no picture) when coupled to my old Sony DVD/SACD player. Could be a fault with my player but worked fine with previous TV, maybe there a compatibility problem with older devices?
Pros: Truly infinite contrast just amazing with all types of true HD content
Cons: Lip synch is fine when using my surround sound system but not always perfect with built in speakers even though there is a degree of adjustment available.
The Sony Bravo OLED and LG OLEDs are the two best 4k ultra's you can get. The LG is a cheaper option.
Best tv I have ever seen, been watching the oled' since they came out. Now is the time. Put a price alert on and get a good sale!
Pros: Best picture I have ever seen, hangs beautifully on wall( echogear full motion mount).
The product is excellent. It is a bit complicated to set up but if you call LG they will walk you through and set it up right. While the Crutchfield people were very nice and tried to be helpful, they really did not know the product and should have referred me to LG right away.
Pros: Picture and sound both amazing
Cons: First set up complicated
A lot of good things have been said about the OLED65C7P TV and I agree to it after experiencing it. The design of the TV is fantastic and is razor thin for most part of the screen. It's weight is not much for it's size. After setting it on the TV stand, I was able to complete all connectivity and setup within 20 minutes. Picture quality and colors are amazing and second to none. The TV's HDMI ARC port was hooked up to the AV receiver HDMI ARC port and enabled by setting speaker out to external and SimpLINK to ON. Netflix app shows Dolby Vision and UHD 4K content. The HDMI ARC port even passes Dolby Atmos sound to the AV Receiver. The Smart TV menu is easy to navigate with the Magic remote as well with my Logitech Harmony Hub based remote.
Pros: Picture quality, ease of setup and menu navigation, design of the TV.
Cons: Price of TV
This tv is the absolute best picture clarity and quality that I have ever seen. The set up is fairly simple however I have never been as scared in all my life of breaking something. The way you have attach the base is just plain scary. LG has you lay the tv flat on the box glass face down in order to attach the base. Set up took about 15 minutes to unpackage and go through the initial start-up. The magic remote basically acts like a wiimote where you can point and click and is very intuitive. There is a web os update already so that waa easy to follow the prompts and get done. I am a Netflix subscriber and when updating Netflix they automatically sensed the 4k tv greatness and offered the service upgrade for an additional small amount per month. Primary purpose for the purchase is honestly for the upcoming xbox one x system coming out around the holiday season but will also be used to stream and play all 4k content. Again absolutely amazing picture with the best picture I have ever seen period. The blacks really are truly black and the color vibrancy is nothing short of breathtaking.
Pros: Best picture quality Deep dark true black 4k Supremely bright and vivid colors Excellent remote and web os with apps pre-installed
Cons: Scariest most delicate piece of electronics EVER!!!

OLED: "OLED" means organic light-emitting diode, named for the advanced material used in the TV's screen. The secret to OLED is this unique light-emitting diode structure with its electroluminescent layer, a special film made from an organic, carbon-based compound that emits its own light when hit with an electric current. A thin-film transistor (TFT) backplane switches each specific pixel on and off. This configuration enables a thinner, lighter form factor, higher resolution and big, home theater-ready screen sizes. Because OLED TVs do not require a backlight, pixels that are switched off are truly black, so OLED achieves deeper black levels and a higher contrast ratio when compared to LCD and LED-LCD TVs with conventional backlighting. OLED technology also increases energy efficiency.
10-Bit Panel: Thanks to its 10-bit panel, the LG OLED TV is capable of displaying billions of colors with fine steps of gradation. With so many more colors to express, you'll see a picture that is more detailed and natural when compared to conventional 8-bit panels. The 10-bit panel even holds up from wide viewing angles, so now everyone in the room will have an ideal view of the action.
Ultra HD 4K Resolution & Upscaler: The LG OLED TV has a display resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 (4K) and will display all video at that resolution, regardless of input signal, thanks to its Perfect Mastering Engine & 4K Upscaler. 4K provides four times higher resolution than current 1080p high-definition TVs with a total of 8.3 million pixels. Its detail is so vivid and crisp, even when viewed from close distances; it's nearly impossible to discern a single pixel, even from inches away. Enjoy incredibly flawless images, vivid colors, and picture details as never before. More benefits of Ultra-HD 4K include:
HDR (High Dynamic Range) Video: The LG OLED TV supports a variety of HDR technologies including HDR10, HLG HDR, and Dolby Vision. HDR reproduces a greater dynamic range of luminosity or brightness levels, bringing greater contrast & wider color spectrum to the screen. This increased contrast reveals the subtle nuances of the image, from detailed blacks and shadows to the brightest whites and colors, plus greater depth. Previously hidden areas of dark shadow and sunlight are now full of clarity and detail.
Ultra Luminance & NBO Polarizer: Ultra-HD picture quality becomes even more dynamic with an extended range of brightness, thanks to LG's Ultra Luminance technology. By enabling higher peak brightness (up to 900 Nits) and an enhanced contrast ratio, Ultra Luminance makes 4K & HDR images even more striking. In addition, a NBO polarizer has been added to the OLED TV's existing anti-reflection film to enhance black levels and reduce reflections from ambient light.
Video Inputs: The LG OLED television features HDMI 2.0a and Composite video inputs. All of the television's video inputs are displayed at 3,840 x 2,160 (4K).
Note: The TV has built-in over-the-air HDTV (ATSC) and Digital Cable (QAM) tuners with an RF-coaxial input, so you don't need a separate set-top box to receive and decode over-the-air HDTV/SDTV or unencrypted Digital Cable signals.
Picture Settings: The LG OLED TV provides preset, user, and expert adjustment of the television's picture settings.
Magic Zoom: Magic Zoom enables you to magnify objects and letters anywhere on the screen without any degradation in picture quality, using the included Magic Remote.
Multi-View: The Multi-View feature lets you watch a live TV broadcast and an external HDMI input source simultaneously on the screen. Multi-View provides two smaller side-by-side images that are positioned in the middle of the screen (does not fill up the whole screen).
Dolby Atmos Support: This LG OLED TV currently supports Dolby Atmos playback via Dolby Digital Plus through Internet streaming apps (like Netflix & Vudu), over-the-air/cable broadcast, and USB 3.0. Dolby Atmos playback delivered via Dolby TrueHD through Blu-ray & Ultra HD Blu-ray is not currently supported, but will be enabled with a software update (no ETA).
ARC (Audio Return Channel): The Audio Return Channel of the TV's HDMI 2 input enables the television, via a single HDMI cable, to send audio data "upstream" to your AV receiver; increasing user flexibility and eliminating the need for any separate S/PDIF audio connection. This feature allows audio to be sent from the television to your AV receiver through the same HDMI cable already being used to send audio/video to the television. This eliminates the need for extra cables connected to the TV. ARC allows audio from the TV tuner, Network connection, inserted USB device, HDMI inputs, or any analog connected device to be heard through your ARC compatible AV receiver via the television's HDMI ARC input.
Note: Both the television and the receiver must support ARC for this function to work properly. When connecting an AV receiver that is compatible with Audio Return Channel (ARC), connect it to the TV's HDMI 2 input. If connecting a system that is incompatible with Audio Return Channel (ARC), an additional audio connection via Digital Audio Out (Optical) is necessary.
Digital Audio Output: The optical digital output terminal will output Dolby Digital/DTS (when available) or 2 channel PCM. The digital optical output terminal only sends an audio signal in Dolby Digital/DTS when receiving Dolby Digital/DTS surround sound from a digital broadcast channel through the tuner, network apps, HDMI inputs, and USB ports on the OLED TV. The optical digital audio output will only output in 2ch stereo from sources connected to the TV via stereo RCA.
Note: You can choose to turn the television speakers off or leave them on with the TV's optical digital output active.
LG Sound Sync w/ Bluetooth: Thanks to the TV's LG Sound Sync and built-in Bluetooth, you can pair a single set of Bluetooth headphones or one Bluetooth speaker with the LG OLED TV. You are able to stream audio from any of the the TV's built-in sources or connected sources. The TV's built-in speakers and audio outputs will be deactivated when streaming audio to Bluetooth headphones or speaker. The Bluetooth audio output's volume is variable, so volume of your Bluetooth speaker will need to be controlled by both the TV and the Bluetooth speaker for adequate volume level.
Note: Not compatible with all Bluetooth devices.
Magic Sound Tuning: With the Magic Sound Tuning feature, you can detect the space where your TV is installed using your Magic Remote's microphone to optimize the audio of your TV for your environment. When the initial detection is complete, you can select your desired audio mode.
OLED Surround: LG's OLED Surround technology provides simulated multi-channel surround sound (including Dolby Atmos) from the speakers built into the television.
Equalizer: The TV provides preset EQ modes. Choose from Smart Sound, Standard, Clear Voice III, Cinema, Sports, Music, or Game. You can also adjust the TV's sound manually by using the 5-band EQ (100Hz, 300Hz, 1khz, 3khz, 10kHz).
Auto Volume: You can set the TV's volume to automatically adjust for different broadcasting stations, so you can always listen to channels at the desired volume, even after switching the channels.
AV Sync: If the video and sound of the television are not synced, you can adjust the delay of the audio output to match the video.
Wired or Wireless Network Connection: The LG OLED TV supports a wired or wireless network connection. Via the TV's network & internet connection, you can enjoy select online entertainment services. You can also access music, video, and still-image files stored on your computer.
Note: LG recommends a home network connection speed of at least 2.5 Mbps recommended for standard definition, 10 Mbps for high definition, and 20 Mbps for ultra-high definition.
LG Smart TV Apps: LG Smart TV Apps allows you to access a variety of online entertainment services and content directly on the LG TV through its network & internet connection. You can quickly and conveniently browse for TV Shows, Movies, and more to watch immediately. You can also download and use apps from various categories such as education, entertainment, lifestyle, news, and games. Click here for the latest compatible apps (subscriptions & fees may apply for some online services and content). Below is a list of some of the most popular apps from LG Smart TV Apps.
Note: 4K & HDR network streaming requires a network speed of 20Mbps or greater. A wired Ethernet connection is recommended over a wireless WiFi connection for better performance. If you desire a WiFi connection, then use a dual-band Gigabit wireless-N router or better for 4K/HDR streaming.
Channel Plus: The Channel Plus app (powered by XUMO) offers 50+ free streaming channels sports, news, entertainment, and lifestyle programming (including Fox Sports, Sports Illustrated, TIME, People, and more). The Channel Plus app features a handy on-screen guide which is integrated into the TV's over-the-air TV channel guide for easy, seamless access. Click here for a complete list of Channel Plus app stations.
Web Browser: The LG Smart TV features a built-in web browser that lets you search the Internet for a particular website by URL or keyword searches. The web browser supports only HTML5 media and not Flash Plug-in. The web browser only replays the following media file formats - JPEG/PNG/GIF. Not all websites will be available for download, because of size and content.
Notes: Compatible audio formats include MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV/PCM, & OGG. Compatible video files include AVI/Xvid, MPEG 1/2/4, MKV, Motion JPEG, MOV, WMV, & Vob. Compatible photo files include JPEG, PNG, BMP, JPS, & MPO.
CyberSecurity Assurance Program Certification: LG's webOS 3.5 Security Manager smart TV platform has been certified for its effective cybersecurity capabilities by UL, the world's foremost expert in safety and sustainability; a first in the smart TV category. UL's 2900-1 Cybersecurity Assurance Program (CAP) tested the webOS 3.5 Security Manager for malware susceptibility and vulnerabilities, software weaknesses and security controls that help protect users' private information. UL assessed the effectiveness of each webOS 3.5 security layer by subjecting the software to a variety of virtual network penetrations and vulnerability attacks. LG webOS 3.5's compliance in these categories provides the foundation for a safe and secure smart TV experience in your home.
Software Update: You can update the TV with the latest software to enhance the product operation and/or add new features via the TV's network connection. Visit LG's Support Site for the latest firmware/software updates.
webOS 3.5: LG's latest webOS 3.5 on-screen menu system is easy to learn and use. It offers easier and faster access to Netflix (including a dedicated button on the remote), quicker playback and start times, and allows you to resume the Netflix app from where you left it.
OLED Gallery: The OLED Gallery mode turns the TV into a digital picture frame, displaying pre-loaded artwork and even your own USB downloaded picture files (JPEG format only). You can choose one piece of artwork or begin a slide-show.
Hearing & Visually Impaired: The LG OLED TV offers Close Captions and a Voice Guide for the hearing and visually impaired. The TV provides Analog Closed Captions and Digital Closed Captions for the hearing impaired. You can also activate Voice Guides that describe the menu options aloud to aid the visually impaired.
Parental Control: Parental Control can be used to block specific channels, ratings, and other viewing sources (external input block). The Parental Control Function is used to block program viewing based on the ratings sent by the broadcasting station. The default setting is to allow all programs to be viewed. Viewing can be blocked by choosing the type of the program and the categories. It is also possible block a specific channel. The Parental Control function is protected by a 4-digit user password.
Energy Saving Feature: The Energy Saving feature helps to save electric power by adjusting the screen brightness; you can select from six modes - Auto, Minimum, Medium, Maximum, Screen Off, or Off.

You can also set the input, channel, and volume level for the On Timer. If you do not press any button within 2 hours after the TV turns on with the On Timer, the TV will automatically revert back to standby mode. The Sleep Timer turns the TV off at the preset time (10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, or 240 minutes).
Built-in Customer Support: The LG OLED Smart TV offers built-in customer support to help your learn functions and diagnose problems.

Note: Through the TV's setup menu, you can program the Magic Remote to operate your cable/satellite receiver, Blu-ray player, or Home Theater/Soundbar system.
SIMPLINK: SIMPLINK allows you to control and play other LG AV devices connected with HDMI cable without additional cables and settings, from the television's remote control. SIMPLINK provides the following remote functions.

Have a Pana THX Plasma that's about 10 years old. Couldn't find deepest blacks in LCDs & LEDs until I drooled over the LG OLEDs I saw for the 1st time in Dec '16. On the nice list so got the 65" C7 w/ LG's promo $ing. This selfie gift won't fit down a chimney but it'll show the best looking TVs-a-fireplace images. [ Harry Dec 14, 2017 ]

I moved into a bigger place, and someone that could care less about the input lag improvement made me a decent offer on my 55" C6. So it's not even that big of a trade off right? I end up with the bigger TV, and way less input lag for my PC! Only thing i'll miss is the curve anyway. (What I'm telling myself $1500 later) Still believe that once i have it in front of me I will feel muuuuch better:) [ Zachary Dec 02, 2017 ]

Purchased the LG OLED65EP7 last year and love the quality. Happy to to see this year's model upgrade to Dolby Atmos since the new Apple 4K tv does not have it and the Roku Ultra doesn't have Dolby Vision. This model resolved those issues. [ T Nov 27, 2017 ]

It's the best TV around right now! I wanted Dolby Atmos, so the B7 was ruled out. The higher models have extra features but have the same display panel and processors. I didn't feel the increase in price to the next model was worth it. I don't need a built in sound bar or picture on glass. [ Anthony Nov 24, 2017 ]

This TV has the highest and most consistent reviews on quality, screen image, viewing angle, and general performance. Best picture [ James Nov 15, 2017 ]
[ James Nov 15, 2017 ]
Did a fair amount of research, and the LG came up the winner. Have other LG products in the home, and they operate flawlessly. Expect the TV to do likewise. [ Donald Nov 14, 2017 ]
Great reviews online. Magic remote and Web OS 3.5. Does not have the bright/shiny trim line around outside edge like the similar model at that big warehouse store. Has slightly lower height dimension than the B7 model which helps with my center speaker placement. Fantastic price. [ Lance Nov 11, 2017 ]

My current TV is going bad. I saw some OLED TVs in a local store and decided that was the way to go. Based on the generally excellent reviews on Amazon and Crutchfield, I decided on this one. LG is the leader in OLED panels. With Dolby Vision HDR 10 and HLG its a no brainer! I have been researching 4k tvs for a long time and was down to the Sony XBR 65 930E and the LG OLED 65 C7P. Rated one of the best TVs for gaming or large PC monitor, with low input lag (for a TV). Reported as one of the best 65" TVs, excellent across the board, including one of the best for built-in sound rated excellent. I really liked the C7's black frame that will not catch light, & sturdy stand. I love that the OLED screen is supposedly the same for all the 2017 LG OLED models, so you can just buy the design that you prefer the most. It also has HDR Dolby Vision support. If you're talking specifically about an OLED TV, then yes. The infinite contrast and true black are outstanding! You also have an increased viewing angle and the ability to sit closer if desired. Certainly 4K and UHD are where you will be blown away with the picture, but you will see an improvement on HD signals too. [ Anthony Dec 30, 2017 ]
yes, the picture is better than on a regular lcd 1080 p TV [ dinu Dec 27, 2017 ]
I have a 65C7P TV and a denon 4300H receiver, and there seems to be some occasional problems, but I'm not sure they are due to mating between the two, more like the internet connection sometimes gets slow for Netflix and Amazon. And right now it won't show all the shows available on Netflix. I don't know what arc or cec are. [ TERENCE GW Dec 27, 2017 ]
It will sometimes going in and out of picture for like 5-10 secs but always come back [ Daniel Dec 27, 2017 ]
Over 400 hours into this tv, I have experienced issues maybe twice, where the Denon doesn't correctly detect the appropriate audio mode (e.g. TrueHD) from the particular source material and instead plays in one of the built-in simulation modes (Dolby PLCII). When this happens I go into the sound menu > sound out > audio out and toggle the Simplink option off and on. Note that im hooked via HDMI ARC on the TV to the Denon's monitor out jack and use TV Audio as the input source on the AVR. But I consider this to be a much larger/worse issue on the LG UP970 UHD BD player and the Denon AVR I own (x2000). [ Sameer Dec 27, 2017 ]
I have a Denon receiver and I have had absolutely no problems, sound and picture are perfect... Mark W [ Mark Dec 27, 2017 ]
To tell you the truth, I haven't noticed any advertising strips along the edges. Most of the "LG channels" include ads with the programming. The ability to use voice control from the remote requires an agreement that LG can monitor usage. I haven't provided the necessary agreement, but sort of assume they will accumulate usage data 'cuz that's what they do! [ Stephen Dec 27, 2017 ]
I agreed to all of LG's conditions during initial setup of the TV. I have never seen an advertising strip. I realize this does not completely answer your question, but it's one data point. [ Les Dec 27, 2017 ]
Short answer is yes. However after about a week using the TV I have stopped paying attention to that advertising strip. It is not invasive on my opinion and does not prevent you from switching to any online streaming services or video inputs. Also if you planning to remove the advertisement strip, note that they monitor only your usage dirrectly from tv connection, and not from the other devices. So if you use Apple TV or amazon stock type of devices, the tv data will just monitor that you using HDMI input and not what you using. [ Vitaly Dec 27, 2017 ]
Not that I have noticed. I don't have any advertising strips on th side and I never agreed to sharing data with LG. [ David Dec 27, 2017 ]
Not to my knowledge. I returned my LG OLED TV. Too many issues. I bought a Samsung instead which turned out to be a much better TV. [ CARL Dec 27, 2017 ]
I don't have an answer, but I would like to know what we are really talking about since I did just buy LG C7 65. DO I NEED A SOUND BAR TO GIVE ME BETTER SOUND OR NOT? And if I do need one, which one do I need? [ Stephen C. Feb 11, 2018 ]
The C7 internal speakers do sound better than other TV speakers i've heard - esp if you use the "Magic Sound" tuning option (adjusts audio to match the room). That said, any mid-range soundbar will sound better. I'm not sure of the value of going to a ATMOS sounder given the lack of ATMOS media. One thing - be careful with Sony products. There are documented problems with LG TV to Sony soundbar connections. [ david Dec 13, 2017 ]
This query is for whoever bought the E7P with it's forward firing speakers. I bought the C7P with the downward firing speakers which do not support ATMOS. Please redirect this question to E7P purchasers. [ Robert Dec 12, 2017 ]
Ricky, You will need a Dolby Amos sound bar to fully enjoy the sound from your C7 tv. [ JOHNBULL Dec 12, 2017 ]
Oh no. Folks, don't do Dolby Atmos unless you're going to do Dolby Atmos. You're going to hear a lot of marketing speak about how to achieve Atmos without, well, having Atmos. Don't do it. Don't bounce Atmos height channels off the ceiling from floor standing speakers. It doesn't really work. Don't use a soundbar to simulate Atmos. That doesn't work either. If you want Dolby Atmos, get Dolby Atmos. It's brilliant. The whole concept is a 3D sound stage. You can place a sound anywhere in the room with pinpoint accuracy. You need to surround yourself with speakers to do that. 2 Fronts Center 2 Surrounds 2 Rear Surrounds 4 Height 2 Subs Go to the Dolby Atmos speaker configuration site. Even some of the suggestions don't work well. 7.4.2 works great. I wouldn't suggest anything less. I guess overall my recommendation, especially with such a great TV, is if you're going to do it - just do it. [ Adam Dec 12, 2017 ]
Atmos gives you a height layer, and while some speakers may "support" this, not all are created equal. If you're spending this kind of money on a TV you will not be satisfied with the internal speakers. Either get a sound bar that can truly fire sound upwards to reflect hieight off your ceiling or do a proper receiver with dedicated speakers. The speaker quality is actually the main differentiater between the various LG OLED's as they have the same panel. A model with an improved soundbar included might actually be a good fit if you find yourself in this scenario. I personally love how the C7 looks and chose a dedicated receiver setup. With any of the current model 4KTVs, you would need an external ATSC 3.0 tuner once the service becomes available. You'll find additional information regarding the service implementation at ATSC.org: https://www.atsc.org/newsletter/atsc-3-0-where-we-stand/ [ Ryan Nov 30, 2017 ] Staff
I bought the Yamaha YAS-207 sound bar to go with this TV. The sound bar just covers the bezel around the TV so you can put it in front of the TV without losing a part of the picture. When watching movies they are in 16:9 format so you really don't lose any of the image. I also bought the 4K AppleTV and the 4K Samsung DVD player and it all works well together. This is in my bedroom. [ Thomas Nov 23, 2017 ]
The LG SJ8 soundbar is designed specifically to fit the C7 OLED models. The SJ8 can be mounted to the C7 with the optional T8 bracket, which also replaces the original TV stand. [ Steve Nov 21, 2017 ]
I wall mounted my TV. I chose to listen to the speakers before deciding to get a sound bar. The speakers sounded great so I did not purchase a sound bar. So I cannot answer your question. But I can tell you the TV looks Great Wall mounted and worth the extra trouble to do it. Also, the internal speakers s sound fine to me. [ Jay Nov 21, 2017 ]
I am having issues with lip sync with Comcast cable on just one channel (MSNBC). I think this is a signal problem - if i bypass the splitter, the problem goes away. Am going to replace the passive splitter with a powered one and see what happens. [ david Dec 13, 2017 ]
Short answer is no. But let me explain my set up: I'm using sonos play bar as my main and only source of sound, through the optical out on the TV. TiVo premier is my "live" Tv and Sony UHG player is my disk player. I also had Apple TV the original box with no 4k. However when I got lates Apple 4tv with 4k, I did see some lip Sync issue, BUT I was able to resolve it in less than 2 minutes, by going to the option on TV and enable lip Sync correction. ( on the side note I think the issue is with Apple TV in Dolby Vision mode, and Not a tv). Overall the issue was solved and TV was smart enough to keep that setting only for specific input, and not for all other perfectly working devices. Ohh I'm also using TV own interfaces for Netflix an Amazon and they work great !!!!!!! Love this TV :) [ Vitaly Nov 18, 2017 ]
I don't use the sound from the TV. I use my sterio system and I not yet detected such an issue. [ James Nov 18, 2017 ]
I have had zero problems with mine. -- no lip sync issue for me. Still very happy with mine. [ David Nov 18, 2017 ]
Yes! I specifically searched the internet for articles on the best large TVs for gaming (considering input lag concerns on most TVs, and actual refresh rate), and this one was at the top of most lists when I was researching. I use it primarily for gaming with my Alienware PC. I'm really happy with it. [ David Nov 18, 2017 ]
I game on my C7 (up to 2 hours at a time, probably), and I have not seen any burn in. I found a test somewhere online that did some pretty extreme things to test burn in. It found that there was temporary burn in, but it resolved itself with regular use of the TV. The C7 is nothing like my aging ST50 plasma, which shows shadows if you take too long to pick a Netflix show. [ Nick12345 Nov 08, 2017 ]
I'm also worried about burn so I avoid watching News channels with those annoying banners across the bottom of the screen [ Brian Oct 31, 2017 ]
I have had my TV since April and have yet to notice any type of burn in. I'm not too worried about it if it hasn't happened for me so far. [ Ryan Oct 31, 2017 ]
Probably not - no problem after four months. [ Richard Oct 30, 2017 ]
I have not noticed any burn-in on my set. I am on my second LG OLED set. I had the B6 and now the C7, and have not had any image retention problems with either. [ STEPHEN Oct 30, 2017 ]
I did not worry. no issues as of now, approx. 3 months use [ Tom Oct 30, 2017 ]
Yes the TV can be mounted on a wall, the wall mount bracket needs to be a VESA 300x200 [ Bryan Sep 26, 2017 ]
Yes it can [ charles Sep 25, 2017 ]
Yes, any wall mount that can hang a 55 to 65 inch wall mount should work. [ jeff Sep 25, 2017 ]
Yes, but depending on the mount, the mount may be visible due to the locations of the screw slots. (Vesa 300x200) They are located towards the bottom of the TV. LG has a mount designed specifically for this tv. I have a Sanus mount that works just fine. You will need M6 bolt. I used a 20mm length without a spacer [ Michael Sep 25, 2017 ]

Currently the C7P and all of the 2017 LG OLEDs support 3 HDR formats: Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG). It is rumored that after a future firmware update, all of the 2017 LG OLEDs will also support Advanced HDR by Technicolor. [ Pablo Sep 04, 2017 ]

It's black (I think!) It's pretty small and barely noticeable. I've had it for a few months now and am honestly not 100% sure of the answer! More importantly, it is unobtrusive, definitely. :) [ David Aug 31, 2017 ]

Just be careful to follow the unpacking/moving instructions exactly [ Brian Oct 31, 2017 ]
We just unpacked and installed this TV today and yes is very thin but the screen is not flimsy. The picture is beautiful and you will be very happy with this TV. [ DAVID Jul 20, 2017 ]
I purchased this TV 2 weeks ago! It came in from Crutchfield on time. Essembled in 15 min! It is sturdy and I put it in the stand that came with it. No need to worry about the thin screen. Very happy with the purchase. [ DIMPLE Jul 18, 2017 ]
Not at all. But, one shouldn't be touching anyway I'd say. Once it is mounted I cant see a reason to ever touch it. TV is beautiful. [ Matthew Jul 17, 2017 ]
I was able to move it by myself. The lower half of the set is supported by the electronics, which is where you want to lift it. It is not too fragile :) [ David Jul 17, 2017 ]
Haven't noticed any problems at all. Much better/brighter than my old plasma tv [ Brian Oct 31, 2017 ]
If you are watching something that is dark then yes. There is some when watching brighter scenes but you have to be a person who is very picky (and looking for it) for it to be bothersome. [ Ryan Jul 12, 2017 ]
The screen is glass surface with normal reflective properties, so you can see room lights, windows, etc, especially in dark scenes, but I wouldn't characterize it as a glare. I do get up on occasion to turn off a light or close the blinds, but I do not consider the reflections to be a major distraction. [ STEPHEN Jul 11, 2017 ]
Once the TV is ON, you will not see any glare on the display. There is no distraction with any glare even when there is good amount of light in the room. When the TV is OFF, you will see the glare and any window that may be in front of the TV. [ Thyagrajan Jul 11, 2017 ]
James, The room I have my screen in has only one large window on a wall to the right of the screen. I don't receive hardly any glare in my room but I can say there has been a reduction of glare from my previous 60" Samsung. [ John Jul 11, 2017 ]
Yes: "Thanks to the TV's LG Sound Sync and built-in Bluetooth, you can pair a single set of Bluetooth headphones or one Bluetooth speaker with the LG OLED TV. You are able to stream audio from any of the the TV's built-in sources or connected sources. The TV's built-in speakers and audio outputs will be deactivated when streaming audio to Bluetooth headphones or speaker. The Bluetooth audio output's volume is variable, so volume of your Bluetooth speaker will need to be controlled by both the TV and the Bluetooth speaker for adequate volume level." You will find this information, and more, by clicking the "Details" tab on the TV's main webpage and scrolling down below the "Features & Specs" table. I hope that helps.
