Our take on the Klipsch RP-250 5.1 Home Theater Speaker System

Got a big TV in a pretty big room? Pair this 5.1 speaker system from Klipsch with your receiver of choice for high-impact surround sound. While we appreciate the convenient and compact "solutions" that have come onto the market in recent years, sometimes there's just no substitute for five full-sized speakers plus a powered subwoofer — if big, full home theater sound is what you're after, that is. This package includes:

The dynamic sound of Klipsch Reference Premiere

We're used to hearing great things from our customers about Klipsch's signature sound. One technology that goes into that famous Klipsch sound is the horn-loaded driver. Flared openings in the speaker cabinet project sound waves toward your listening area, boosting dynamics and efficiency. The Reference Premiere speakers that make up this system's front, center, and surrounds all use a newly developed Hybrid Tractrix® horn design that delivers a wider sweet spot with more precise spatial imaging. They also use copper-colored Cerametallic™ woofers that deliver smooth, articulate sound, as well as lending your system a striking appearance when you take the grilles off.

Klipsch RP-440C center channel speaker

Klipsch's Cerametallic™ woofers, shown here on the center channel, deliver smooth sound and have a striking look.

Home theater thunder

Klipsch rounds out the package with their powerful Reference R-112SW, a powered sub featuring a 12" woofer and 300-watt amplifier. One Crutchfield customer sums it up nicely: "It has a nice musical sound when needed. Or an explosion effect can rattle the house." We couldn't have said it any better.

Thanks for your question. Check the website again. There is a grouping of pictures with and without the grilles. The covering is a very thin material so you should not hear any noticeable different in sound. Hope this helps. [ Kenny  Jul 01, 2017 ]  Staff
They sure can be because they have a keyhole slot on them for that purpose. HTH! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul  Sep 12, 2016 ]  Staff
The Klipsch speaker package can work with the majority of home theater receiver models we offer so, we'll need to narrow the selection down based on your specific feature, connectivity and budget requirements.
