Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
Great sub!!! Added what was missing from my Klipsch tower speakers.
It's impossible not to get swept up in the emotion of your music and the action in your favorite movies when Klipsch's R-12SW Reference is kicking out the bass. It delivers powerful, extended bass response thanks to the beefy 200-watt amplifier that effortlessly drives the 12" woofer. With the R-12SW in your system, you'll hear and feel your movies, music, and video games come roaring to life in your living room.
Line-level and LFE (Low-Frequency Effects) inputs let you easily connect the R-12SW to almost any home theater or stereo receiver. Its back-panel volume, crossover, and phase controls help you fine-tune the bass to your liking, and blend its sound into your system. The sub comes housed in a durable MDF cabinet and finished with a brushed black polymer veneer. A front-mounted LED power indicator makes it easy to tell when the sub is powered up and ready to rock.
Great sub!!! Added what was missing from my Klipsch tower speakers.

Average Customer Review(s):
Great sub!!! Added what was missing from my Klipsch tower speakers.
This thing is Huge can't wait to get the system finished and hooked up
1st off, very easy placement in almost any size room ... and as for the added lower octaves, it's "almost" invisable. Sweet value for your money, however, I bought TWO of them! HEY... you can always turn them down (but why would ya want to) ?
Cons: ZERO from this guy
great addition to my stereo
Very good sub and worth the money, especially on sale. This is my first time buying Klipsch and I would definitely consider another purchase when needed.
Pros: Very good speaker and excellent base
Very good subwoofer and the price was right (was on sale). The subwoofer volume is set to half and is more than enough. Recommended.
Pros: Very good for music and movies.
Awesome! Love the look and the sound! I hope my neighbors will love it too!
Pros: Look, sound, and price
In my very positive review of the Klipsch RF82iii tower speakers (purchased in October 2017), I opined that I didn't think adding a subwoofer would be necessary. But when Crutchfield dropped the price of the R-12SW dramatically, I caved in. I'm very glad I did. This additional speaker adds a welcome boost to the lowest frequencies, of course. But more importantly for me, it allows me to fine tune the output of the entire system, so that I can balance the output from the towers and extension speakers at various volume levels and for different kinds of musical programming. I owned an Infinity sub some years ago: the Klipsch is richer and tighter, and to my ears, more musical. I'm delighted with my purchase.
Pros: An excellent match with Klipsch towers.
The (adjustable) level of bass with this unit is great! It sounds great with today's bass-oriented tracks, but also with the classical and jazz I love. Price point was great as well!
Pros: Sound. Build. Look. Auto-on and -off.
Just like all the other Klipsch the sound is terrific.
Can't beat the price on this sub. You can feel the rumble three floors up!
I love this subwoofer it was the last piece to my surround sound system thank you Crutchfield for making all my purchases so easy and problem-free
Works great with my other klipch speakers
Smooth ordering, showed up a few days later and works perfect! Could not be more happy with the overall experience!
Pros: Best subwoofer I've ever purchased!
Wow! I thought that I had a Sub-woofer but when I plugged in this one I learned differently. This is a great addition to any sound system. When I plugged this in to my Denon AVR-X2100W I was very happy with the results. If you need a Sub-woofer this is not a unit to cut cost on, remember you get what you pay for and in my case this was certainly true with a Sub-woofer. If you budget requires it just wait until they go on sale and then take advantage of it
Pros: Great Bass Flexibility Bang for the Buck Appearance Its a Klipsch
Cons: Not a con for me but be aware of the size (foot print).
It's better than I had thought! I recommend this for any home theater!
Wow this subwoofer brings the boom! If you want theatre sound for a good price you can't go wrong with this product.
Pros: Powerful sound. Nice design.
I have two. My first one buzzed and Klipsch replaced the amplifier. Now (just out of 2 year amp warranty), the amplifier has gone out on one of them and the other has started buzzing.
Pros: Good sound.
Cons: Amplifiers appear fragile. I've had one completely fail and two start buzzing. Now out of warranty.
So far so good. This sub adds more bottom end impact when watching movies. I thought my klipsch towers and bookshelf speakers did a great job with bass production - but this makes a huge difference. Great improvement for the price - half off for Black Friday plus the scratch and dent discount - I feel like I've got the deal of year!
Pros: Auto on/off. Crossover settings, lots of power, looks good!
Cons: My neighbors hate me more now!
From day one I knew I made the right decision buying from Crutchfield and buying the Klipsch Ref R-12SW. Placed behind a couch in great room unit delivers powerful bass I've been looking for without over vibrating the room which could come across as distortion. This unit is smaller than my previous SW but really puts out chest pounding bass if you want. Settings actually trimmed back as it can overwhelm the rest of my system. Paired up with Paradigm towers, Anthem MRX-510 and Polks in wall the sound is absolutely perfect. Used ARC-1M sound setup... stepped back and let it impress me. thanks guys - purchased 2016 very pleased.
Pros: Great delivery at most any volume, size for power, price point, reputation
Cons: haven't found one yet - maybe different finished (cherry) or similar
Excellent bass for the price. I'm running this in my living room home theater and it is more than powerful enough for music and movies.
Pros: Sound quality. Price.
Loud, clear, booming bass. It's like sitting in movie theater.
Added this sub to "The Sixes" by Klipsch. I was worried it might be "too big" - it's not. Sound makes me cry it's sooo good. Not a big room, I have the gain up a little over half way and I am happy- no regrets.
Pros: Sounds so good turned up. Sounds so good at lower volume.
Cons: Cost maybe- but bought it on sale.
Good sub.well built and heavy cabinet.
Super bass crisp sound but shakes the house when you want great sub
Pros: Everything I was expecting in a quality speaker
Cons: Wish it was available in cherry finish
I was looking for a replacement sub after my existing one was damaged in the move. This sub really filled the bill for a great price. I've only had it a couple of weeks (and haven't really pushed it much) but the added bass is incredible. Super easy to set up. Hooked it up to my Yamaha RX-A840, set the low-pass to LFE and the gain about 1/3 of the way up and it was ready to rumble. I'll be tweaking it further in the upcoming weeks after I get accustomed to the change in the sound.
Pros: Added a level of sound previously missing Great bass Easy to incorporate into my system
Great sounding subwoofer with Marantz SR7011 and other Klipsch speakers. Planning to get a second one soon.
Pros: Big and clean bass
Great sub does the job, easy set up, sound amazing
Deep sound. Rattles windows in house if that is what you want. Very happy with the purchase. Matches polk tower speakers perfectly. only improvement would be is to round the corners on the cabinet to make more appealing. This thing is big and powerful.
Good deep bass sound. Easy install
Great sub for the Price. I bought this R-12SW to replace a POLK AUDIO PSW100 sub I bought in 1996. The bass on this device is incredible. My son loves the sounds while using his Xbox One in the Game mode. Installing and connecting the sub as simple as plugging it in to and outlet and hooking up the Line Level RCA cable. Crutchfield just lowered the price on this sub. Buy one now to improve your home a/v system.
Pros: Deep Bass. Great sound. Easy installation.
Wow!!! This subwoofer is awesome. In Dolby Surround mode of my Onkyo receiver and playing Twister it shakes our house. It provides a theater experience and of all the components purchased, including Onkyo receiver and Polk audio speakers, this is my favorite.
Pros: Quality, performance, SOUND! This subwoofer was definitely worth the $
Cons: None yet
Great addition to my theater. Added to my Denon AVR-X4000 with B&W speakers.
It is just what I was looking for to give me that at the movies sound.and the cool base when listening to music.everyone needs one of these ??
Pros: great sound ,for at home listening .
Cons: It is a little big but what do you expect from a 12" amplified subwoofer ??
This sub is amazing! I have owned basic subs in past due to townhome situation but I finally pulled the trigger to finish my system once we purchased our new home. It fills our finished basement perfectly. I wish I had this for years. Purchased while on sale as well was a great price. As a side note, I purchase everything with Crutchfield. Their service is outstanding everytime!
Had this for a short time but it is a very powerful sub! Have it paired with Klipsch RF-82II'S and seems to be a match made in heaven. I cannot keep it turned up to much and also have the lfe on reciever set -10db cause it will shake the house! Very good sub from a reputable company sold by an excellent company! Product processed and delivered very fast and efficient. Crutchfield is The company to deal with!
Pros: Powerful and sexy looking without grill!
Off the top I'm a Klipsch fan, I feel they have the best offerings in the retail audio store class. Not wanting to go over budget for a vacation home I purchased two R-12SWs to anchor a 7.2 setup. My first impression was why does the gain adjustment go so high? Any more than 40% & It loses headroom and gets boomy depending on the AVR 1/4 to 1/3 gain is about the sweet spot. It appears to suffer from a lack of power to control this size driver. Also with the rear port it's sensitive to placement. I found parallel to the wall achieved best results. That being said I'm pleased with my purchase. $449.00 was msrp but can be found as low as $219.00. So for under $500.00 for 2 these are a bargain! Properly placed & tuned they bring home all the wall shaking bass a movie like hacksaw ridge or iron man deserves. And they perform even better playing music. Honestly if your current sub is a wireless that came with a sound bar or a boxed system from Costco these will blow your socks off , I'm just being hyper critical. At average listening levels of a family sitting down to watch a movie or for a cocktail party the R-12SWs are more than up to the challenge. I might also add that I've had mine for some time & worked um hard & I've had no quality issues , they've been flawless. As a note I've seen the Klipsch R-115SW sub at some bargain prices and boasting twice the wattage 400rms and 800 peak there're worth looking at and give subs costing more a real challenge. R-12SW ? 2 thumbs up
Pros: Quite good price to performance ratio. Appear to be durable. Easy system integration. Nice looking copper color cone. Compact size. On/standby light. Adequate power for most situations.
Cons: Rear port. Underpowered for demanding applications. No wireless options.no line out jack.
Easy Setup, Good Sounding subwoofer. Reasonable build quality for price. I would purchase again.
Solid, tight bass with plenty of power to drive the 12 without all the booming some 15's can experience. Easy to control crossover point and level which fits great for music and movie tracks without having to adjust for every source and genre. Well rounded and worth the $$. Big upgrade over the Yamaha's.
Pros: Plenty of power and control, tight full bass.
Cons: none so far. Great product.
Delivered on time as promised. Our previous sub-woofer went out and we didn't realize how much we missed it until we hooked up the new one. The bass is so good that we have to dial it down to keep it from drowning out the rest of the sound.
First and foremost, I would like to thank the Crutchfield "team" for their excellent assistance in purchasing this product.. As always, and with everything I purchase from them, they never disappoint. My R-12Sw is "off the hook" superlative! I'm running it through a Cambridge Audio SR-20 receiver (also purchased from Crutchfield).. Combined with my left and right channel bookshelf speakers, well, there are no words! The power, punch, clarity and depth resonate on every level and with everything in my audio library from standard jazz (Miles , Coltrane), jazz fusion (Metheny, DiMeola, RTF, Chic Corea, Larry Carlton ect), progressive rock (Yes, King Crimson, ELP, Steve Hackett, Flower Kings ect.) album oriented rock (Beatles, Who, Be Bop Deluxe,Little Feat, ect.) and acoustic rock and new age.. I was using an old Velodyne 100 that simply had seen better days.. The compatibility between my SR-20 receiver and the Klipsch R-12SW is like "Tongue and groove" perfect! We're talking at least a 12 year gap in technology from what I was using to what I have now.. Response and at low levels is magnificent! Thank you..I'm digging it everyday!
Pros: Light, affordable, and well, top shelf sound..
Not all 12" subs are the same! Seems obvious but the difference from our old 12", 50 watt Yamaha sub is night and day. What had been a very subdued and reticent performance from the Yamaha turned into a a full, well-controlled and powerful when the performance calls for it.
Pros: Does what you would expect, fills in the lower octaves with authority.
Cons: Slight delay coming out of sleep mode, not a deal breaker
Amazing subwoofers... they fill the room with clean and clear low frequency. They are well made and solid
Pros: Looks good and sounds amazing
Got this on the half off sale. Its a good sub for full price I'd pass. The bass is pretty boomy and almost no punch . Adds lots of low level just not what I prefer, the power seems to be there and it will work for what I need it for, also the grill fabric is kind of cheap looking and the vinyl veneer on the box scratches real easy. it may need more time to break in and may improve after that, if you can get it on sale its not too bad. I may be a little biased as my home theater contains two 15 inch subs that are much more costly.
Pros: pretty good power and volume
Cons: boomy bass, not tight or punchy
As advertised and previously reviewed.
Great subwoofer for movies.
I had an older Klipsch R-10SW that was downfiring. Way back then I couldn't afford the 12" model. The new 12" is front firing and it's amazing the difference in bass between the two!
Pros: Great bass and easy hook up.
Finally found that bass I was missing, I have an older subwoofer that is still working great, but didn't seem like it had enough power. Now I'm running both and loving it. The Klipsch has ridiculous amounts of power, my Onkyo receiver wanted me to have the subwoofer on full and use the receiver to manage output, don't do this! This thing will erode the foundation of your house. I put it down to 1/4 power and it is still powerful.
Honestly I bought this sub because it was on a special deal. But oh man did I know it was going to pack a punch! This sub shakes my entire home! I just can't believe how good this sub is, highly recommend.
This Sub is the Bum Bee meaning it's Extremely outstanding I have an Onkyo Sub with the 7.1 Onkyo When I connected the Klipsch it was music to your ears and my Neighbors you can Feel all rooms with the just Wright base it blends with a Uniform Mixture very easy to install and you can connect both Subs one to another it's remarkable the sound and I don't need the Onkyo Sub anymore it's only because I had it already you get this Klipsch 12SW or any Klipsch you will Thank yourself for the purchase Unbelievable Sub I can go on for days on end just see for yourself "KLIPSCH "
Pros: The quality sound the looks easy hookup the blend of Bass all quality
Bought this to replace a 16 year old Xfinity 12" down firing sub. The Klipsch is so much more clear(even when old sub was new). No more rumbling, boomy and muddy lows. I had no idea a sub should sound like this. Also, I have the crossover set at 120htz. Mid-bass does not muddy the sound one bit. No matter what the volume is, the base is clean and tight. Really makes my set up sound like I'm in a theater.
Pros: Deep bass Clean, crisp sound Auto power on
Cons: A little big, but it is a 12" sub box
I had been using 2 different 10" subs...a Velodyne and Polk. Both were fine but lacking true power (being only 100 watts). When I spied a Black Friday deal on a Klipsch I had to pull the plug...on my old subs that is! The Klipsch completes my speaker system (my tower fronts and center are all Klipsch) and helps bring out the bass that I was lacking. Since this is a 12" sub with 400 watts of power it packs more of a punch that my two previous subs...combined. Granted placing it in the corner of the room helped but regardless this thing does wonder with the low end. After configuring it I've been enjoying music and movies like never before.
Pros: Sleek design, powerful sound, adds dimension to movies & music
Cons: None that I can think of.
We were suffering with an old 6" subwoofer with a torn foam ring around the cone. It was terrible. We found this subwoofer on sale, and picked up two. They were delivered much more quickly than would have been the case from a "big box" store, and arrived in perfect condition. We hooked them up to our 7.2 channel receiver, and these things are incredible, absolutely incredible. We have very large front speakers, and set our crossover to 80hz, and the transition from fronts to woofers is subtle and smooth. The room literally shakes with the volume up now... have had to trace down some rattles in our front door, the decorations on our walls, etc. They are so much fun, and the sound quality is breathtaking. These things bring out bass I've never heard before in even the most familiar films, and come the closest to an IMAX or RPX sound experience I could think possible in a home sound system. I've never purchased from Crutchfield before, but won't hesitate to do so again. And if you're wondering about these woofers? Don't wonder. Just buy. You'll be very pleased.
Pros: Fantastic bass!
Cons: None yet.
This is a very smooth sounding sub. It produces the low frequencies without shaking everything in the room.
Pros: Smooth deep bass
This sub is everything we need for our living room, and actually more! It is great for movies and all kinds of music. We have it backed into the corner to the right of our t.v. and it works great for our room. It is a huge upgrade from our last one that broke, we were worried about it not being a downfiring but are very satisfied!
Pros: looks great, sounds great, just is great!
Cons: Nothing so far.
Brings out true deep sound, great addition to my sound system.ALL SMILES
Very good subwoofer for the money. I'm running two of these in my home theater. Very clean bass output with plenty of headroom. Works well for both music and surround content.
Good sound, adjustment can be a bit finicky as it seemingly does not have a consistent curve when increasing the volume so it took longer than expected to find the right level for me. Still, once setup I was very happy. Nitpick - I had wanted to run this without the front grille to match my speakers, however because the sub itself has the prongs to attach the grille rather than holes it looked pretty stupid. Not sure why Klipsch thought the sub having the male end and the grille the female end was the way to go...
A powerful subwoffers that shake the walls. The sound is great.
Pros: Good price
Awesome sub. My Klipsch Refrence Premiere RP-160M bookshelf speakers didn't need much reinforcement on the bottom end but this sub was just what was required. On sale too! By accident, I had touched the A-B speaker switch when I cut the bookshelf speakers off. This sub was hooked into the Pre out 1 of the NAD C 356BEE integrated amp. With the bookshelf speakers cut off, all I could hear was the sub. I turned up the volume to listening levels and adjusted the gain and low pass dials until the sound was clear with no boom or rumble. I pushed the A speaker button turning on the bookshelf speakers and haven't needed to adjust the sub again. The room is full of sound and the bass in there is real. Just like a band is in the room playing music. I am extremely pleased with this sub woofer as well as the staff and advisors at Crutchfield. If you have a budget in mind (and who doesn't) give them a call. They will make sure you get the best for your hard earned money. And a big shout out to Shane and Brice.
Pros: This sub woofer added the bottom that my bookshelf speakers just couldn't deliver. Nothing extra. Just the best reproduction of the sound on the recording.
Cons: Difficult to adjust if using Pre-Out RCA jacks from the pre amp. Try cutting the bookshelf speakers off if you can and adjust the gain and low pass until the boom and rumble are gone. That should get you dead on.
Nice, Sub delivers the perfect bass for a room that is 14x 22.
Pros: Perfect bass for movies and music.
Cons: Size is a little large maybe hard to conceal in a cabinet.
I bought the R-12SW to pair with my Klipsch RF82 loudspeakers. Since my Harmon Kardon receiver does not have a LFE subwoofer circuit, it took a bit of tweeking to dial in the sub. That's part of the fun though. Once dialed in it sounds great and very nicely compliments the RF82's. The R-12SW did exactly what I was hoping it would, add clean, deep bass to already great loudspeakers. I have owned Klipsch loudspeakers for more than 30 years and certainly recommend this product. Note that this unit does sound great, but in a large room such as mine, you need a larger sub with more power to get that "gut punch" bass.
Pros: Price, control ability, solid sound, ITS A KLIPSCH!
Cons: Not enough power for that punch in the gut bass in a large room.
Best sub ever
Pros: Best sub ever
I purchased the Klipsch R-12SW subwoofer as part of an alternate monitoring setup for my music studio. My main monitors are the powered M-Audio BX8a Deluxes paired with the BX Subwoofer designed to work with them. The R-12SW was chosen to pair with Cambridge Audio SX-60 stand-mount speakers. I have the SX-60s mounted on the wall with Pinpoint AM-41 speaker mounts and I have the R-12SW in the corner of the room opposite the BX Subwoofer. I chose this particular sub because its adjustable crossover went down to 40 Hz, the low frequency limit of the SX-60s. I am driving the passive speakers with a venerable 65-watt Yamaha Natural Sound CA-810 integrated amplifier. 65 watts doesn't sound like much, but it can really drive these speakers quite loud with no distortion and, of course, the R-12SW has its own amp. (I have the newer 85-watt Yamaha A-S501 on order and it should arrive next week.) The R-12SW was very easy to setup and adjust. I am using the stereo preamp outputs of the CA-810 to drive the sub. I left the crossover set to its lowest setting of 40 Hz and adjusted the gain until things sounded right. The system operates very smoothly and the bass is very even, easy and tight. It passes the test of my three favorite low-bass test CDs: Genisis' "A Trick of the Tail", Enya's eponymous CD, "Enya", and the Granite Audio "Ultimate Low-Bass Test CD". If you don't have them, you should definitely add these CDs to your library to test the low-frequency response of your system
Pros: very wide crossover range, easy setup, tight effortless bass response, produces a lot of bass below its rated low point of 29 Hz
Cons: power cord is a bit short, takes up a lot of space
I am amazed at how much more alive my music and movies sound with the RS-12SW compared to my old subwoofer, which performed very well for the 12 years that II had it. But the difference was so obvious, I didn't know how much I was missing! It has a tighter, deeper, smoother sound (a true window rattler) and seems to adjust itself to whatever type of movie I'm watching or music I'm listening to, be it rock, jazz, classical, country, hip hop etc.! It added a new presence and accuracy to the overall sound of music and movies that makes me feel even more like I'm right there in front of the band, or in the best seat in the movie theater, then I ever have before! It's sensitive enough to turn itself on at the lowest input level while still delivering good low bass sound and "feel". I live in a kind of small apartment, so I don't need any more power than what the R-12SW delivers, but I would still recommend it to anyone who wants to upgrade to a newer level of affordable, high end performance stereo/home theater equipment! I personally don't see how it could get any better than this!
Pros: Affordable....Excellent, excellent acoustic properties for the price.....Looks cool with the front cover removed.....
Cons: I see no cons personally
I waited 4 months to see if there were any quality issues. None. This doesn't have concussive bass. It doesn't feel like you are being punched in the chest. You probably need 1000W for that. It has powerful resonating bass. You can feel unrelenting pressure on your body. I can't use it more than half way up. Most of the time it stays at 25%. I have highly reflective flagstone granite walls. So your mileage could vary on that. Placement was very important. It was awful in the wrong places. It puts out well tuned sound across the spectrum. In the most demanding sources it feels like the amp has more power to spare. It never feels put out. You will give up first. I think it's important to know that not all retailers are qualified dealers. In such a case you won't get the warrantee from Klipsch.
Pros: Body beating bass for the price
Cons: Could use a remote and a front power button. For the price it could be wireless or at least the upgrade slot for one. Klipsch has so many subs that they really are leaching the customer by spreading out the feature set. And charging way too much for the higher priced models that do not sound any better.
Awesome subwoofer made a big difference to my home theater
Pros: Deep accurate bass
Sounds great in combination with other Klipsch speakers in a 5.1 set-up.

12" Woofer: The Klipsch Reference series R-12SW powered sub is fitted with a powerful 12" copper-spun IMG (injected molded graphite) front-firing woofer for deep bass. The copper-spun IMG woofer is exceptionally light while being extremely rigid, providing remarkable low frequency response with minimal cone breakup and distortion. The front-firing woofer gives you greater placement flexibility than a down-firing woofer.
200 Watt Amp: The Klipsch R-12SW powered sub employs an all-digital 200 watt RMS (400 watt Peak) amplifier for high efficiency and dynamic bass performance.
MDF Cabinet: The R-12SW is housed in a durable MDF cabinet and finished with a brushed black polymer veneer. The MDF enclosure is rigid and protects against unwanted vibration and distortion.
Rear Firing Port: The R-12SW's enclosure uses a bass reflex design with a rear-firing port for greater efficiency and bigger bass.
Controls: The level control, low pass crossover, and phase control allow you to blend the powered subwoofer's low-frequency tones with your system's other speakers, as well as establish the ideal level of bass.
LFE/RCA Inputs: The Klipsch R-12SW powered subwoofer is equipped with a pair of line-level RCA-type inputs to connect the sub to your receiver or integrated amplifier.
LED Indicator: The front-mounted LED power indicator lets you know when the sub is powered on or off. The LED will light green when the powered subwoofer is on and receiving a signal. If the LED is dark and not lit, the powered sub is off.
Auto Power On/Off: The powered subwoofer will automatically turn On when it senses an audio signal. It will automatically go into "Standby mode" after 15-20 minutes with no audio signal. You can also choose to turn the powered sub On or Off manually from the rear-switch on the back.
Placement: Klipsch powered subwoofers are designed to reproduce deep bass and deliver the impact that makes your movies and music come alive. For optimum performance, place your subwoofer in a corner of the room on the same wall as your front channel speakers. Please note that room placement can have a dramatic effect on the performance of your powered subwoofer. Corner placement, as suggested above, will increase the amount of bass output, while placing the subwoofer along the middle of a wall, or out in the room will decrease the amount of bass output.

The R-12SW was a replacement to a Klipsch sub I purchased 10 years ago. Very pleased with the unit and the consistent quality of service from Crutchfield. [ Joseph Mar 07, 2017 ]
Just ordered the Klipsch RF-82II speakers and from what I heard in reviews although the speakers have a great spectrum they tend to not have that low end thump mainly because of the dual 8" woofers. So just to keep in a matched family chose this sub to fill in that empty void. Again chose mainly on reputation and reviews. [ Frank Feb 20, 2017 ]
Wanted to up grade and they were 50 percent off although good for home theator would not recommend for music only application if should go on sale again at 50 off would buy another. [ Mark Feb 10, 2017 ]

Reviews and price, wanted the JBL equivalent but the longevity of the current and previous JBL models at this price point are very suspect. [ Brian Nov 25, 2016 ]
I have been wanting a Klipsch subwoofer to complete my surround sound for my tv. The local stores has this subwoofer on sale, but none of the stores in my area had it in stock. So I ordered one through Crutchfield for the same sale price as the stores were advertising. I would recommend the Klipsch brand audio speakers, they are very high quality & have the very best sound. They're the best and my husband loves them. [ Angie Nov 25, 2016 ]

In the absence of a subwoofer (LFE) output on your receiver, you can connect Left & Right channel pre-amp outputs from your receiver to both the "Left/LFE" and "Right" inputs on the powered subwoofer via a stereo RCA cable. There is a way with a few different components that can work together. I recommend calling an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 to see what we have available now to make this work wirelessly with your receiver. HTH! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul Oct 03, 2016 ] Staff
