The Sixes have a built-in phono preamp. Just add your favorite turntable (not included).
The Sixes powered speakers by Klipsch are ready for anything. They have a built-in phono amp for your turntable, and they're Bluetooth-enabled for streaming from your smartphone or tablet. There's a USB port for great computer sound, and a stereo minijack for just about anything else.
The speakers also feature an optical digital audio input, so you can run digital sound from your TV directly to the Sixes — ideal setup for watching videos in a bedroom or guest room. A mono subwoofer output lets you add a powered sub to make movie soundtracks really come to life.
The Sixes are part of Klipsch's Heritage Wireless series, and sport a cool retro look with tactile spun copper control knobs and real wood veneer. Each speaker features a 1" titanium tweeter mated with a Klipsch Tractrix® horn to deliver clean, clear highs. And the 6-1/2" spun copper woofer gives you solid, natural midrange and bass, with a rear-firing port to further reinforce the low frequencies.

Excellent speaker, easy set up, well worth the money!
Simple to set up. Big sound from a small bookshelf speaker. Quality product from Klipsch. Was a little hesitant about buying a speaker that I haven't heard but I am very satisfied.
Pros: Crutchfield had them on sale. Had to buy them.
Cons: Shipping, thought my speakers would be damaged do to the looks of the box they came in. Box was all tore up but no damage to the contents.
It was very easy to set up the speakers. Sound quality is very good.
The Sixes are an awesome set of speakers. Bluetooth, XM, and tv all connected in minutes, and all sound great, and the sound is amazing.
Pros: Easy set up and awesome sound.
Cons: None found
The most versatile series of speakers I've ever owned. I get so many compliments because they look like they belong in a living room with the walnut finish, but sound better than any surround sound system I've ever had. You can use these speakers for almost any source of audio right out of the box... 3.5mm head phone aux for laptop, ipod, or ipad. Hook up aux or phono to TV , video games, or record player. I just love them. The sound is incredible for the money. These speakers can get very loud. The bass response is pretty good, but it won't give you that rumble. I wish they had a matching subwoofer to add to the set. They have other heritage series speakers but don't seem accommodating to The Sixes. You will not be unhappy if you buy these. You can DJ an incredible house party with these
Cons: The aux cable for audio source is a little short
What's not to love about these speakers. I have been very impressed with their performance. Are they the most detailed, nuanced speakers I've ever heard? No. Did they absolutely exceed my expectations? Yes! They're perfect for Music, movies and gaming if you want a clean and simple set up. While they provide plenty of bass on their own, I find adding a subwoofer really helps fill out the sound.
Pros: Ease of use. Great sound. Lots of audio inputs.
After spending the last few years listening to music on various single-speaker Bluetooth devices, it is a pleasure to get these bad boys fired up in my living room. It took a couple minutes to hook up the wires and flip through the instructions to learn the remote. Then I put on LED Zeppelin II and I felt like a kid again listening to my father's stereo with his big 'ol floor standing speakers. I have spent the past couple of days since I have received them putting them through their paces with everything from classical to jazz to rock to edm. They sound amazing right out of the box - if some say they break in after a time - well then I think I am in for a treat because I can't imagine them being better. So far I have only used the Bluetooth connection so I can't say how they sound with other inputs. But I am very, very happy with the sixes.
Pros: Big stereo sound. Great at all volumes. Expandable.
I ordered my Sixes which shipped free in three days which was really nice. As usual Crutchfield are wonderful people and service was great again. I reviewed the Three which I purchased about a month prior. After really loving that speaker I decided to pull the trigger on the Sixes and once again I'm just so blown away at these Bluetooth speakers by Klipsch. The sound is beautiful and crisp even with Pandora. The base is real tight and the highs are absolutely beautiful. The idea of streaming music is extremely convenient. I played Antonio Carlos Jobim and all the instruments sound strong and crystal clear. Klipsch is really amazing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these beautiful speakers to anyone. The fit and walnut finish look supreme. Well done guys, I'm so happy!
Speakers are beautiful and sound great. They are 100 times better on stands. The steel stands tighten up the entire sound. Give them a good 30 hours of break in before evaluating. Thanks to the Crutchfield team for such a pleasant experience.
Pros: Beautiful. Sound great.
Cons: Really need stands and proper break in time.
Klipsch Heritage Design: Incorporating luxury materials such as real wood veneer and tactile spun copper switches and knobs, the Klipsch Sixes blend the acoustics and classic design legacy of Paul W. Klipsch with the latest technologies available today.
Custom Engineered Amplifiers: The Sixes powered monitors deliver room-filling sound without taking up much space thanks to built-in amplifiers that are custom-engineered for these high performance speakers, maximizing output and sound quality. The Sixes incorporate individual ultra-low noise amplifiers that are custom designed to maximize system performance and eliminate the need for external amplification.
Two-Way Driver Design: The Klipsch Sixes utilize a two-way driver design with a 1" titanium tweeter mated to Tractrix Horn and a 6.5" long-throw polypropylene woofer with a rubber surround. The Tractrix horn-loaded 1" titanium dome tweeter provides a natural, lifelike sound, while the square Tractrix horn offers up a 90° x 90° dispersion pattern for a broader sound-stage. The 6.5" long-throw polypropylene woofer delivers accurate, detailed midrange/midbass performance.
Bass Reflex Cabinet: The Klipsch Sixes employ a bass reflex cabinet with a rear-firing port for greater efficiency and bigger bass response. The cabinet is slightly angled upward for better sound dispersion into the room. The cabinets are constructed of MDF and finished with a walnut veneer. Magnetic grilles finish off the speakers' look and feel.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming: The Klipsch Sixes tabletop stereo system features Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology so you can enjoy streaming online music services, internet radio, or music content stored on your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer. Pairing your Bluetooth source device with the Sixes is extremely easy; just press and hold the source button on the speaker and select "Klipsch The Sixes" on your Bluetooth device. The speakers will only pair with one device at a time. Once paired, the Sixes will automatically re-connect with your device when in wireless range (up to 33').
Note: You will still control your music from your Bluetooth source device (not the speaker).
USB-B Input: The Klipsch Sixes speaker system features USB (type-B) input on the back of the "Right" speaker for connecting your Windows PC or Mac computer/laptop. Through the Sixes' USB connection, you are able to play music files (up to 24-bit/96kHz) stored on your Windows PC or Mac computer/laptop through the powered speaker system. Basic playback control (Play/Pause & Previous/Next Track) can be done from the included remote control. Advanced music browsing and song/artist info are still handled from your computer. You will need to install a dedicated USB driver from the Klipsch website onto your Windows PC before connecting your computer (Mac computers will not need this dedicated driver).
Note: There is also a rear-panel USB-A port which is used for service, software, and firmware updates only.
Optical Digital Input: The Klipsch Sixes are fitted with an optical (toslink) digital input on the back of the "Right" speaker for connection to a digital audio device like your TV, Blu-ray, or CD player. The speaker's optical digital input will accept 2ch stereo PCM only (up to 24-bit/96kHz).
Aux Input: The Klipsch Sixes also features a 3.5mm analog input, so you can connect practically any audio source via either a 3.5mm-to-3.5mm audio cable or an RCA-to-3.5mm audio cable (sold separately). Connect your portable music player, TV, or any audio source with an analog audio output or headphone jack. The Aux input is located on the back of the "Right" speaker.
Line or Phono Analog Input: In addition, the Klipsch Sixes is equipped with a stereo RCA input that can used as a Line or Phono (MM) input. There is a switch on the back-panel that lets you select between line-level or the built-in phono (MM) preamp. Connect your CD player, Blu-ray player, Turntable, and other audio sources with an analog audio output. The Line/Phono input and switch is located on the back of the "Right" speaker.
Subwoofer Output: The Sixes also include a subwoofer output so you can easily add a powered sub to the system. The subwoofer output consists of a mono-RCA jack and is located on the back of the "Right" speaker.
Controls: The Klipsch Sixes come with an IR remote control for wireless operation of the speaker system. The remote provides the following control functions - Power on/off, Source selection, Volume up/down, Sub level, and LED illumination. There is also Power, Source, and Volume controls on the front-panel of the "Right" speaker.
Detachable AC Power Cord: The included 59" detachable AC power cord plugs into the back of the "Right" speaker and then into an AC wall outlet, surge protector, or power conditioner.
Proprietary Speaker Cable: The included 20' proprietary speaker cable connects the Klipsch Sixes' powered speaker (Right) and slave speaker (Left) together for power and audio signal.

Forums claimed their sound is excellent. [ Chris Jul 04, 2017 ]
wanted a more compact system to run my project debute carbon turntable. [ JOHN M Jun 05, 2017 ]
Very attractive speakers. Looking forward to hearing what they can do! [ Brian Jun 05, 2017 ]
We do not have a way to see which, if any, subwoofers customers ordered with these speakers. But we do have advisors that you can call using 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation on a subwoofer for it. As for the HHA headphone amp, it has USB, coaxial digital, optical, and stereo RCA audio inputs. This will allow it to work with any sound card I have ever seen including what I found on your sound card. And you can connect the HHA to these speakers so it can all be chained together. However, you might want to bypass your sound card and connect the speakers to a USB port on your computer as that would allow you to use DAC in the HHA which should give you even better sound. HTH! This speaker set is not DTS Play-Fi compatible. However, Klipsch does make some speakers that will work with that platform. No problem. They have a sub, phono, and auxiliary input for your gear. Also, an optical for the TV and a USB and mini Jack for your computer. [ ANTHONY Oct 30, 2017 ]
Yes. You can connect the turntable to the "Line/Phono" input, the CD player to the Aux or Optical input and the powered subwoofer to the "LFE/Sub output". I hope that helps My Bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/bio/Ryan [ Ryan Oct 30, 2017 ] Staff
I have Pangea stands that are 24" tall. I use a loctite version of Blue tack. This keeps them in place nicely and helps with killing some of the bass. No way you need a sub with these speakers. [ ANTHONY Apr 06, 2017 ]
The Sixes are powered speakers (built-in amplification) so, you would not connect them to a receiver/amplifier. If you have a component FM tuner, you can connect the analog pre-amp output from it to the auxiliary audio input on the Klipsch. I hope that helps. They're Bluetooth I love these speakers you won't be disappointed [ Cary Dec 17, 2017 ]
The six should be "aux". Damn auto correct [ Mark a. Dec 17, 2017 ]
Their are 5 settings on the front. Six, USB, phono, digital and a symble that I think is wifi. It's the same symble that on my I phone to the left of battery power level. I use the phono.I can say they sound great. Never heard a bookshelf speaker sound so large. [ Mark a. Dec 17, 2017 ]
Bluetooth yes, WiFi no... [ Emil Dec 17, 2017 ]
I think 12 - 15 feet away would be the sweet spot for these speakers. I only use mine for music, but they can fill my small home's first floor (700 - 800 sq. Ft) with great sound. While I was very happy with the speakers on their own, adding a subwoofer brought them up to the next level. So you could look at these speakers as being "upgradable" if you want. [ Brad Oct 20, 2017 ]
From my experience, I feel that when you get that far away from these speakers, you lose some of the bass presence. You might want to add a subwoofer. Mids & highs are fine at this distance. [ Karl Oct 19, 2017 ]
yes, but I'm not sure how well they'd work as speakers for your TV. I have mine opposite (facing) the TV, on tables on either side of the sofa. [ alison Oct 19, 2017 ]
very much so. great sound very warm. [ SCOTT Oct 19, 2017 ]
Yes! They get plenty loud, just don't expect thunderous bass to go with that. They sound great! [ DWAYNE Oct 19, 2017 ]
