Our take on the On-Q lyriQ Single-source Audio Input Module by Crutchfield's Dave Bar
This input module lets you hook up a single audio source such as a CD mega changer or audio/video receiver to an On-Q lyriQ audio system for playback in multiple areas of your home. Connect your audio source to the input module with an RCA stereo cable, and the input module to your enclosure-mounted On-Q audio distribution module via CAT-5 cable.
This input module also transmits IR (infrared) control signals that allow remote operation of source components from lryiQ amplified keypads and universal remotes.

Overview: The On-Q/Legrand Single Source Input (F7398) is a component module, that when combined with other essential components and your source equipment receiver, CD player, etc, creates a versatile whole-house audio system that will fill your rooms with high-quality sound. The On-Q F7398 uses Category 5 technology to provide high quality audio to remote locations with a single 8-conductor cable (sold separately). This technology provides may advantages over other conventional methods of audio distribution such as simple, single Category 5 wiring scheme, and infrared control of system components.
Connections: This Single Source Input module requires line-level output from your audio source being distributed. If your receiver does not have a dedicated line level or preamp output, you can also use its tape monitor output. The Single Source Input module provides RCA jack for your audio source equipment connection. The line level audio signal is sent to your On-Q Audio Distribution Module (sold separately) over a Category 5 cable. IR signals that are transmitted to any Category 5 Audio Volume Control within the system are directed to source equipment using IR emitter cables (F7425, sold separately) that plug into the three 2.5mm jacks on the Single Source Input module.
Mounting: The Single Source Input module typically resides at your entertainment center and is connected to the enclosure mounted Audio Distribution Module using a single Category 5 cable run.
