Our take on the Sensaphone® Humidistat

This humidistat works with your Sensaphone remote monitoring system to detect when the humidity in a room falls below or rises above limits that you specify. This unit mounts on the wall or in a cold air return duct using the included hardware, and it connects to the system using 22-gauge accessory wire (not included). You can wire multiple humidistats together to monitor more locations in your home or office — keep one in an area where you store old family photographs, and place another in an air return vent to keep tabs on your home's overall humidity.

Product Research

Overview: This Wall mount humidity sensor is used to detect if humidity is too high or too low in conjunction with your Sensaphone monitoring unit. The Humidistat works with all Sensaphone monitoring systems. The Humidistat will also control the automatic operation of a low voltage (24V) humidifier placed in a warm-air duct of a forced-air furnace. The unit features alarm limits that are adjustable from 10% to 60% RH. The unit does not come with a wire for connection to your Sensaphone monitoring unit or low-voltage humidifier.

Installation: The Humidistat can be wall-mounted in the living areas beside the furnace thermostat or it can be mounted directly in the cold air return duct of your furnace. Wall mounting provides extra convenience, however, duct mounting allows the control to sense air returning from all living areas and provides better overall humidity control.

Note: The furnace blower must be operating before the Humidifier is activated.
