Overview: The Sensaphone FGD-0056 Zone Water Detector is designed to detect the presence of water on a floor or in a false ceiling via the supplied WaterRope. The unit comes with 10' of WaterRope cable for area coverage. Up to 10 WaterRopes can be cascaded from a single sensor for even greater coverage up to 100'. The Zone Water Detector also comes with 25 feet of power/ground wire. The FGD-0056 is compatible with all Sensaphone monitoring units. The Zone Water Detector operates on two "AA" batteries already installed inside the unit.
Installation: The Zone Water Detector should be mounted on a wall or other surface where it will not be immersed, but near enough to the surface being monitored to make the best use of the supplied 10' WaterRope. Plug in the WaterRope before attaching cable clamps to secure it to the monitored surface. One end of the 25' power/ground wire should be connected to the screw terminals on the detector while the other end of the wire plugs into a zone or input terminal on your Sensaphone monitoring unit.
