The ZVOX SoundBase 570 supports TVs up to 60".

A simple concept that works

The ZVOX SoundBase sits right on top of whatever surface holds your TV, and your TV sits right on top of the SoundBase — simple, effective, and easy. Just like many other sound bar systems, the this one connects to your TV using a single cable (optical digital and analog RCA audio cables are included). The system's built-in 65-watt Class D amplifier puts out plenty of power to drive the built-in speakers to impressive volume levels. Good sound, easy install

Chip from Palmdale, CA on 12/28/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was limited in space. With this sound bar at 30 inches, it worked great in the area I had to work with. Also my wife and I have a hard time hearing dialogue with standard TV speakers. This sound bar has a dialogue setting that really helps. When I called to ask questions about different products, I talked to Brit. She was very helpful and explained sound bars in language that I could understand.

Pros: 1 piece installation,

I was having a problem with Voices on my tv...I have a hearing problem...In doing some research on voice clarity, I became familiar with the "accuvoice"feature on the Zvox 570..Decided to give it a try, and I am not disappointed..Still doing a little testing with the settings regarding bass, treble, and voulume, but so far I am very pleased.

Pros: Good sound at a decent price

Cons: None as of now...

The sound base 570 is awesome. I can hear the tv much better. I can hear the voices loud and clear. Very easy to set up. I use the Verizon remote to control everything.

Pros: Super sound and easy set up. Sits under the tv. No need to mount on a wall

Cons: a little big but not a big deal

Zvox 570 sound base simply awesome!

Gerry from Myrtle Beach, SC on 1/30/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced a Sony soundbar with this Zvox 570 and was a little skeptical on how it would sound. I set the unit up in about 7 minutes and I noticed the crispness of the sound. I turned on the accu-voice feature and WOW what a difference. My wife and friends were impressed with the quality of the sound when watching movies. I called technical support about the TV remote setup and he walked me through the setup. If you are thinking of purchasing this 570 don't hesitate, you will be pleasantly surprised like we were.

Pros: Easy setup, grrreat sound, looks great, accu-voice just awesome

Cons: Not that i can find.

Amazing sound from ZVOX SoundBase 570

scrivener from Mc Henry, MD on 1/18/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The bottom firing speakers on our Panasonic Viera LCD TV were just not making it in our cathedral ceiling living room. Often had them turned near top of range, especially for streaming movies, and still could not understand dialog. The ZVOX Soundbase 570 is as amazing as other reviewers have said. Using Accuvoice setting, dialog is clear and crisp into the kitchen, amazing in the room. Bass and music also sound good. When operating with the TV or satellite receiver (DISH) remote, the Soundbase 570 has an eco-off mode when the TV is turned off, to save power. Can be independently turned on/off with its own remote to use, say, with Bluetooth input.

Pros: Easy to set up and program remotes. Clear, crisp dialog. Amazing sound.

Cons: Really can't think of any.

Clear sound for speech

Bernard from Charlotte, NC on 12/27/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I replaced a Polk Audio sound bar with the ZVOX Sound Base 570 to improve speech and to reduce commercials which volume. The ZVOX does an outstanding job in both areas. The unit was very easy to set up and the instructions were very thorough with adequate detail. I had a minor issue programing my direct tv remote but a quick email to ZVOX quickly solved the issue. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone desiring to have clearer speech for all tv programs and movies.

Pros: Easy set up and great sound quality

Cons: none

Working welland as expected

Lee from Conroe, TX on 12/19/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have had zvox for several years and purchased another one for our vacation home. I got the 570, but it didn't work. Some of the speakers stopped working. Crutchfield quickly sent me a replacement and it works great. We use the voice enhancing setting the most so we can better hear the voices over all the background music.

Pros: good sound. Voice clarity.

Cons: Is a little big and heavy and takes up space on my tv stand. But that is probably what makes it sound good and will last.

Just what you want for better dialogue.

Richard from Mansfield, OH on 12/17/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Promptly Received my ZVOX 570 as promised and have had it for about two weeks now. Hook up is a snap, especially if you have an optical video connection on your TV, otherwise red & white analog connections are available. There is no HDMI (which carries both audio & video) .The instructions are very good, easy to follow and most importantly the sound quality is very good, especially when dialogue is concerned. This is a bulky piece so if you are like me, and do NOT want to use it as a base then make sure the dimensions will fit into where ever else you may be placing it. Due to the lack of an HDMI connection and a smallish remote I gave this product 4 stars.

Pros: Bang for the buck

Cons: No HDMI and remote a bit too diminutive, with smallish "soft buttons".

Great product

Coop from New Jersey on 11/23/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This product is everything as advertised. If you are looking for a product to improve the audio for dialogue from your favorite TV shows or movies, this is it. Dramatic improvement at much lower sound volume. My financee was very concerned about how this product would look under our TV and on top of our cabinet and she was extremely pleased by how unobtrusive it is. You don't even really notice it, only the improved sound. Extremely easy to set-up. Literally just a few minutes.

Pros: Great sound. Very reasonably priced. Quality of product. Unobtrusive.

Cons: None.

Operation and set-up are easy and the Bluetooth works great too. The unit seems well made and provides a good solid base for the television. Definitely recommend!

Pros: Good Sound Easy to Set Up Designed and Engineered in USA

Cons: Larger size may not be suitable in all applications

Good for movies & dialogue

Dov from Tucson, AZ on 10/10/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I use this to watch movies while I work out. I have difficulty making out dialogue, but this sound bar makes the words clear for me. It does better than I expected in simulating surround sound. I do not use it for music, so I cannot comment on that.

Pros: Very easy to attach and use. Excellent clarity for dialogue. Good, full movie sound.

Cons: Is not equivalent of a good surround system, but better than expected.

Timothy H from Willis, TX on 6/14/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very pleased with the functionality of the ZVOX. Has so many options for connection, control, and sound. Directv and Apple TV remote both work well with the ZVOX. Clear sound fills my big living room with ease. Keep mine set on the dialogue setting and other sound effects are still plenty loud enough.

Pros: Connectivity; remote learning ease; clear dialogue; ease of use.

Cons: A little pricey, but product is a level above similar products.

Pros: Ease of use, good price point. Very convenient that it's built to have the TV sit on top of it, saving space and providing a clean look.

Cons: Not the best bass, but to be expected at that price.

The Best Soundbase

Robert from Kaneohe, HI on 5/5/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First thing I noticed is how clear the voices were with the Accuracy Voice feature. I have to say after searching around for either a sound base, sound bar or home theater system this is the best for someone with not that much entertainment stand space limitations. It is great not to have to turn the volume up during soft voice scenes. Crutchfield is one of the few online places the ships to Hawaii for free. I am telling all my freinds and family to use them.

Pros: The voice clarity, surround sound and good bass.

Cons: None for the price.

ZVOX 570 SoundBase

Rich from Maine on 4/14/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

My first sound base so... first impression is pretty good. Brings vocals of TV and movies to the forefront. Kind of expected that but the quality of music and bass was impressive coming from a "relatively" small enclosure. The compression used from loud to soft passages is noticeable but not bothersome. You tend to forget that it's working unless you're listening for it. The enveloping surround is never hyper-exaggerated and puts you in a ear-catching pleasant place. Very nice...I'm quite happy with this purchase. If you will, the only "negative" is that the five tweeters can work a little ear fatigue into your listening. While not exactly tweeters in the traditional sense, the are not quite as smooth as something from a higher end speaker, but I couldn't expect that at this price point. Having said that, I expect most listeners will not notice this. Aside from that, this is a very good sound base. Do... buy better cables than what comes with it.

Pros: Does pretty much everything beautifully. Great understated surround!

Cons: Could induce listening fatigue to sensitive ears.

Improve your sound quality

Suzanne from santa fe, NM on 2/22/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

To be honest I have not set up the base for music. I simply have it connected to my TV. I have a very thin TV and it is true that sound is compromised. I did a comparison, without sound base vs. with sound base, and the difference was quite astonishing. Dialogue is much clearer and resonance profoundly fuller. Plus you can adjust bass, treble to your liking. Very pleased.

Pros: Easy to set up. Great improvement to quality of sound.

Cons: None.

Soundbase with a pedigree

Ray G from New York on 1/8/2016

I purchased the ZVOX soundbase due to the reasons listed in the "Pros" section and am happy I did. My wife could have installed and set up this device, which says a lot for the ease of connectivity. There are many other soundbases available for less money, but I chose this one since I believe that you get what you pay for...and I did.

Pros: ZVOX is a company conceived by and ran by audio Engineers which was all I needed to know in order to make my decision to buy one. Between the ease of installation and sound performance this component is well worth the money. The materials used in the manufacture of this base are top shelf and I don't think the budget priced bases come close to this level of quality.

Cons: Compared to soundbases sold by other well known companies the ZVOX 570 is more expensive, but the history of the company and components used in its construction are worth the offset. I wish the 570 had deeper bass response, but the addition of an external subwoofer port will allow me to remedy this after I buy the additional speaker needed.

Exceeded Expectation

Rosmarino from Florida on 12/27/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

We purchased the ZVOX SoundBase570 with expectations that it would be a moderate improvement over the existing 42" LCD TV's built-in speakers. After the easy connection ( 1 cable to TV, plus power cable) we were up and running within 5 minutes. The sound quality blew us away. The room was filled with very rich sound from the ZVOX. It was much more than a "moderate" improvement in sound quality. All family members had grins of excitement after the first few seconds of the sound experience. Wow. It truly exceeded expectations. The simplicity of assembly (no visible cable clutter), it's clean style/appearance and the wonderful sound quality are qualities that are very appealing. While it may not compete with traditional surround systems with detached subwoofers and front/rear channel hardware, it has provided more-than-enough sound quality to make movie watching a theater experience. We are considering purchasing one for our parents as a gift.

Pros: Good low-frequency response, given the 5" woofer. Great sound for music listening and movies. AccuVoice feature is very effective at pulling forward spoken dialog that may otherwise be lost in loud action/adventure movies. Attractive styling. Good build quality. Simple set-up. Lots of bang for the buck.

Cons: No CONS. To be super-critical, it may be nice to have a variable setting for the AccuVoice feature to fine-tune its balance.

Raincnhs from Brooklyn Center, Mn. on 12/27/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy 1 optical cable hookup, easy to use, sounds so much better than just the flat screen tv speakers, and with accuvoice I can actually understand the words being spoken without having to have the volume turned way up, and that alone makes my wife happy. Have not used Bluetooth so can't rate that.

Pros: Easy hookup. Easy to use. Great sound. Can select from 3 different surround levels and adjust bass and treble within these, along with output leveling. Accuvoice for clarity. Not bad looking and will support 110 lb. tv.

Cons:

Crutchfield ordering process and no-charge UPS 3-day delivery were a definite plus. Highly recommend this product.

Cons:

ZVOX SoundBase 570

Anonymous from New York on 12/18/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought this primarily to make the dialogue more easily understandable. I use the "output leveling" setting which subtly quiets the loud action scenes and raises the volume on quiet scenes. I also like the "Accu voice" setting which makes voices easier to hear clearly. The TV just sounds better.

Pros: The improvement in sound quality is obvious compared to the televisions speakers. The different settings work as advertised. Setup was quick and easy.

Cons:

Excellent sound base choice

Anonymous from NY on 12/18/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I wasn't in the market for a sound base until I received my new SONY 810C. Newer TVs have lousy sound and the Sony model has an unusual stand that made a sound bar not an option as the stand protrudes 4" in front. The sound base complements this particular tv as it sits underneath with compromising the position of the TV. I also have a full surround system, but I wanted an everyday solution for regular tv watching. I spent a bit more for this one as I compared to the Sony HT-XT1. I'm glad I did. The bass lives up to the reviews I've read, Sony was weaker in this category. It's a full range of sound. What's amazing is when you turn off the zvox and listen to the native sound, it's a joke in comparison. The zvox performs well at 15-16 when I can't even hear that level on the native tv. I turned it up louder than usual and there was no distortion. There are adjustments for bass and treble, and a special voice button which amplifies the tweeter it seems and does throw the voices in front of any bass sound. The learning mode worked well. Paired up to my remote tv to change volume and pair the power together. I haven't used Bluetooth yet.

Pros: Excellent sound, easy setup, configurable options, solid

Cons: Difficulty connecting the optical audio at first. A very tight fit. No other complaints

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've been avoiding purchasing a TV sound bar or base because I've I've read a lot of adverse user reviews of various systems online and elsewhere. Plus, I'm a klutz when it comes to anything electronic. After talking with a reassuring Crutchfield rep, I took the plunge with the ZVOX soundbase. It was a snap to install, easy to sync with my Charter remote, and produces great sound. I'm a satisfied customer!

Pros: Ease of installation, great sound.

The ZVOX Soundbase 570 was easy to set up. The sound is great...much better than the Sony system it replaced. Bluetooth not used at this time.

Pros: Clarity. Ease of setup.

Cons: The controller must be used directly facing the unit. Will not operate if slightly to the side (where my chair is).

Rob H from Ohio on 7/18/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Got this to improve the sound of the original T.V. speakers. Did not give it a 5 because I have not tried the Bluetooth.

Pros: Easy set up. Great sound.

Cons: Not so much a con. Took up more space than I thought it would.

A MATTER OF CHOICE

FRED H from Florida on 6/15/2015

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This unit no doubt performs as advertised, but I was comparing it to my current speaker system for improvement in understanding and clarifying dialogue from TV broadcasts. Switching back and forth to listen between my options, I found no increase in voice clarity and the ZVOX while adding depth to the sound, also added an artificial "tunneling" presence which I found annoying. The sound appeared too much to come from the box in front of me. That being the case, I chose to return the product and stay with my present system.

Pros: Design, simplicity, sound depth and adjustment capability

Cons: Inherent "boxiness, tunneling effect" of sound.

Great Sound!

Preston from Philadelphia on 5/31/2015

After hooking this baby up,the sound was awesome. It was hard to get ready for work because the sound was so good. It was a gift for my friend and she loves it. I also added a Polk PSW 111 Sub woofer for more base which made it even better.

Pros: Easy to set up.

Cons: Could not pair it with my larger tv due to the set having legs.

This unit was delivered while we were literally in the middle of watching The French Connection. It took longer to unpack than to set up and truly is plug and play. Instantly the dialog popped and all the little background sounds on the streets of New York came to life that we never knew were there. Obviously there's a learning curve to the features of the 570 but it's no big deal. Blue tooth is seamless. Marrying our TV remote was a cinch. Better sounding systems? I'm sure there are for more $$ but perspective is this is a square box of sound in a small footprint! Plenty of volume, for some shows 1/2 way up is too loud. Nice bass and lows really add punch - impressive in my view especially on shows with booming action scenes. Having a designated sub output option is a nice touch should one ever feel the need. A quality piece of equipment at a good price point.

Pros: Set up ease, quality build, great sound.

Cons: None worth mentioning

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is a very nice addition for anyone desiring better audio from what their currently hearing (via flat panel TV speakers). This unit provides much better clarity and can reach much higher volume without distortion compared to onboard TV speakers. I did a ton of research on this model and read a lot of reviews. Overall, I'm pleased with this unit, but feel that most of the reviews I read were somewhat misleading concerning the low end (bass). I figured it would have a bit more punch on the low end after reading most of the reviews. Again, its way better than any TV speakers; but I was hoping it would provide more lower end than it really does. I ended up adding an old 8" sub via the ZVOX sub output. This additional bass really made up the difference I was looking for. And I'm glad it had the sub output option, it made it really easy to add. For the money and not investing if a total surround system, its a really nice upgrade from the TV speakers.

Pros: Clarity, Higher Volumes Without Distortion, Looks Good, Bluetooth Option

Cons: Not a deal breaker, but I wish it had just a bit more low end punch.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

For 3 years plus, I have watched my 60" flat screen with its own volume...I accepted it, but bought a tv ears to bring the volume closer to my easy chair. And...I thought it was all okay... Recently, I purchased the ZVOX 570, and within 15 minutes, it was up and running! OMG! I love it! such rich, clear tones ...and the volume is all over my smaller family room. PERFECT! Now, I want to save and get more for other rooms. Needless to say, I no longer need the TV Ears. In fact, I have three other rooms with 45" screens...but this is the only one I want to watch and listen too. I am not tech savvy, but easy to set up, and remote is simple and easy to run. I LOVE IT !

Pros: When TV commercials come on, I noticed immediately that the volume was controlled...and not noticeably louder....WOW!

Features

SoundBase 570: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 speaker system is designed to sit beneath your flat-panel TV so you can have surround sound without adding a lot of clutter to your room. It requires no additional speakers, subwoofer, or speaker wires. The SoundBase 570 reproduces TV shows, music, and movie soundtracks with lifelike accuracy, including crystal-clear vocals and big bass. The ZVOX SoundBase 570 is the perfect solution for people who want great sound from their flat-panel TV without the clutter and complexity of a conventional home theater system.

Note: You can place the ZVOX SoundBase 570 directly beneath most 37"-55" flat-panel TVs weighing up to 110 lbs with a pedestal base which does not exceed 26.625" in width or 13" in depth. The SoundBase 570 has a height of only 3.5". You can also place the SoundBase 570 on a shelf under most table-top or wall-mount flat-panel televisions.

Advanced Speaker Design: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 speaker system incorporates high-quality speakers, built-in sub, a highly efficient amplifier, and digital signal processing for high-fidelity sound. And its all packed inside one slim, compact enclosure.

  • 5 Speaker Array w/ Built-in Subwoofer: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 speaker system includes five front-firing 2" full-range drivers and one down-firing 5.25" subwoofer. The 2" full-range drivers use a long-throw design to create a remarkably wide range, accurate sound. The 5.25" subwoofer uses a high-mass long-throw design and is coupled with a rear-firing port for deep, accurate bass.
  • Class D Amplifier w/ DSP:  The ZVOX SoundBase 570 employs a highly efficient 65W Class D amplifier that includes digital signal processing (DSP) for superb frequency response. The result is a very warm, natural, smooth, and accurate sound.
  • MDF Cabinet: The 570 features a hand-built cabinet of heavy MDF. The speaker cabinet is robustly constructed using fully-braced MDF (medium density fiberboard), not molded plastic that is found any many lesser expensive soundbar speaker systems. MDF is the preferred construction material for high-performance speaker systems.

PhaseCue II Virtual Surround Sound: The SoundBase 570 uses ZVOX's proprietary PhaseCue II virtual surround processing to give you rich, three-dimensional sound with movies or music. PhaseCue II, as its name implies, manipulates the phase of the separate channels to "fool the ear" into believing that sound is coming from a variety of sources throughout the room. The benefits of PhaseCue II vary greatly based on program material. Live music and well-recorded modern movie soundtracks will deliver rich, three-dimensional sound - pulling the sound out from the speakers and into the room, virtually surrounding the listener.

  • Music: With music, PhaseCue II creates a very wide soundstage - it literally sounds like you are listening to speakers eight feet apart from each other.
  • Movies: When listening to a good movie, the soundtrack will envelop you - putting you in the middle of the action.
  • Levels: You can adjust the level of PhaseCue II virtual surround processing effect. You can select from Surround One (low effect), Surround Two (moderate effect), Surround Three (strong effect).
Note: AccuVoice cannot be used in conjunction with a PhaseCure Virtual Surround Sound mode.

Audio Enhancement: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 offers a variety of audio adjustment to enhance your listening experience.

  • AccuVoice: The SoundBase 570 includes the ZVOX AccuVoice feature, which uses hearing aid technology to create super-clear voice reproduction. When you push the "ACCU" button on the remote control you engage a circuit that mimics the functions of a hearing aid. The frequencies used by human voices are dynamically emphasized, while other frequencies are minimized.
  • Output Leveling: The SoundBase 570's Output Leveling feature automatically turns down loud commercials, while boosting audio levels from DVD and Blu-ray movies that are not loud enough. Simply press the "OL" button on the included remote and a sophisticated processor takes over, making soft sounds louder and loud sounds softer, so there are fewer jarring moments when switching channels or when commercials come on.
  • Tone Control: The SoundBase 570 has independent bass and treble controls. Each has a range from -4 to 4, and can be adjusted using the remote control only.
Note: AccuVoice and Output Leveling can be activated simultaneously.

Wired & Wireless Connectivity: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 offers wired and wireless connectivity; including digital and analog inputs, Bluetooth audio streaming, and a subwoofer output.

  • Digital & Analog Inputs: The SoundBase 570 has two optical (toslink) digital inputs and one coaxial digital input, plus two analog stereo RCA audio inputs on the rear-panel. Plus, there is a front panel analog stereo minijack (3.5mm) input for convenient connection of a portable audio device. The three digital inputs will support both 2ch PCM and Dolby Digital 5.1ch audio. The analog inputs only support 2ch PCM.
  • Bluetooth Wireless Audio + aptX: The  ZVOX SoundBase 570 supports Bluetooth A2DP which allows you to wirelessly stream audio from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Blackberry, laptop/computer, etc.. You'll be able to stream stored music or music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled device to the SoundBase speaker system. The SoundBase 570 even employs AptX audio coding technology for lossless, CD-quality streaming with compatible AptX-compatible phones (like some Androids OS 4.0+). You will continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device for music navigation and to view song/artist information.
  • Subwoofer Output: An optional powered subwoofer can be connected using the full-range mono-RCA Sub Output on the back panel for even bigger bass. There is no low-pass crossover built-in to the sub out, so you will need to set the low-pass crossover of your powered subwoofer accordingly.

Hidden Display: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 features a four-digit display located behind the speaker grille that shows the current setting for volume, bass, treble, and PhaseCue II (virtual surround); plus shows when you have engaged the Mute, Output Leveling (OL) or Dialog Emphasis (DE) features. A few seconds after you stop using your remote (or front panel) controls, the display disappears completely.

Remote Control: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 comes with an IR remote control for wireless operation of the system. The included wireless remote has controls for power, input select, mute, volume, PhaseCue II effect level, bass & treble level, and DE/OL functions. The SoundBase 570 can also be programmed to respond to your TV or satellite/cable remote control. Once programmed, you can control volume, mute, input, and power with your TV or satellite/cable remote.

Note: Many newer TVs are coming with RF remotes and don't offer IR functionality. In this case, you would not be able to program the soundbar and TV remote to work together.

Auto On/Off: The ZVOX SoundBase 570 will automatically turn on if it senses a volume adjustment or power command from your programmed remote control or the included remote control. The SoundBase 570 will also automatically turn off if the selected input is silent for longer than approximately 30 minutes.

I am at the point were I need a simpler audio system. I have used ZVOX with a 22" TV and the sound was excellent. So, because of its reputation, I will try it with my 60" TV. [ Albert  Dec 12, 2016 ]
I decided on this based upon the recommendation of Advisor Artie, reviews, installation requirements and the comments regarding dialogue clarity. [ Brian J.  Nov 28, 2016 ]

I needed a sound bar that improved the TV dialogue and that was easy to set up. I also liked the fact that it has an output to connect a powered subwoofer. [ Douglas  Jul 13, 2016 ]
I wanted improved sound (the sound coming from the TV itself is almost sinfully bad) without going for a major bassy, booming system that would put my apartment lease at risk. The leveling function should help with this. I chose Crutchfield because, unlike Amazon, they laid out exactly what cables come with the Zvox without me having to search all over the screen. It's right there near the top left. Not only that, but they tell you the lengths too. So I rewarded them by buying from them. [ Mike  Jul 04, 2016 ]
recommendation. [ Steven  Apr 14, 2016 ]
I researched a lot of sound bars with and without subs. I felt this ZVOX SoundBase 570 would fit my needs. The all-in one unit and especially the ability to set my 50" on top of it was perfect for me. Crutchfield, you're still the only game in town. [ John  Mar 29, 2016 ]
It just "fits the bill" for me. I needed to place my TV on top, and the reviews and the price were right. [ Richard  Mar 08, 2016 ]
read about it in your magazine and read the online reviews for this product [ Jeffrey W.  Feb 27, 2016 ]
Great sound. Very good quality. Good value. Easy setup. Clean aesthetics. [ Gregory  Feb 21, 2016 ]
Needed all in one system with sub out [ DAVID C  Jan 06, 2016 ]
Good user reviews [ June  Dec 18, 2015 ]
I have a SONY 55" 810C. For new thin TVs, the sound is a poor. I have full audio capability via a receiver. I wanted an everyday option to listen to TV. This model of SONY has a unique base that projects its legs forward about 4 inches. After reading the internet, a sound bar would only work if I pushed the TV further back, which would recess the TV and hinder the view. A sound base is the best option to stabilize the TV when rotating it (looking at the back), and to maximize the view. [ Ken  Dec 15, 2015 ]
For pricing and shipping [ Clark  Dec 15, 2015 ]
Highly recommended by Technical writer in newspaper [ Rich  Dec 12, 2015 ]
Positive recommendation from Don Lindich, writer for the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper [ Merryl  Dec 12, 2015 ]
I wanted to evaluate the effectiveness of the dialogue enhancement feature. Have a beautiful Samsung TV but the lack of dialogue clarity causes us to crank up the volume to understand what is being said on many shows we watch. [ Ron  Dec 12, 2015 ]
Recommended in today's edition of the local newspaper. [ John  Dec 12, 2015 ]
I hope this makes dialogue easier to hear. I like that this has the subwoofer output because I already have an extra powered subwoofer if I want to add a little extra low end. [ William  Dec 05, 2015 ]

5 questions already asked

I didn't know that Accuvoice canceled the surround sound. I tend not to use Accuvoice, as the sound is a bit too much treble and too little bass with the setting on for my tastes. But Accuvoice does noticeably accentuate voices and makes ithem much easier to understand. [ chris  Jan 16, 2018 ]
I doubt that you'll want Accuvoice turned on when watching a movie at full volume. It seems to me that feature is helpful at low volume (like late night) viewing. I suppose you could have it on in a noisy room, but frankly, it's a little overdone and bright for me. If you're a bit of an audiophile, you may find this speaker inherently on the bright side, so using the Accuvoice will be an option you hardly use. Hope this helps... [ RICHARD J  Jan 15, 2018 ]
I think yes, but not seriously...I prefer use the accuvoice with tv series or drama movies [ SAMUEL  Jan 14, 2018 ]
I use my 570 strictly for TV with accuvoice on all the time. If I am viewing a DVD or Bluray disc, I am using my home theatre system without use of the 570. Not sure if that will help you, or if that is what you are referring to, but we love the 570 for TV viewing. [ Richard  Jan 14, 2018 ]
No. It only makes voices more pronounced. I really don't detect a difference in the "surround" effect. But you should know that this unit doesn't replace a true surround (5.1, 7.1, etc) system. You're not going to get huge, rumbling sound from this unit. However the sound from this device is outstanding! It doesn't matter what kind of movie/tv I'm watching, the sound it great. And it's great when I Bluetooth music from my phone or laptop. It just doesn't produce the depth of sound as a true surround sound. That's okay for me. I never run a movie through my older surround system, I just use the Zvox. [ Matthew  Jan 14, 2018 ]
I've had the ZVOX for about 1-1/2 yrs and have never experienced a problem with volume control, there is a linear relationship between the volume control setting and the volume experienced. [ John  May 08, 2017 ]
I've not noticed this. Volume seems consistent to me. [ john  May 08, 2017 ]
The volume control works fine. Each click of the remote makes a discernible change to the volume. [ Frank H.  May 07, 2017 ]
Doug, I had to push the volume control buttons very hard to get the remote to engage. But, I really like the sound on this unit. [ Trent E.  May 07, 2017 ]
The sound control is very accurate, every push of the volume control button changes the sound. [ JEFFREY  May 07, 2017 ]
I personally haven't connected Bluetooth headphones, but I would imagine all devices using this feature can be connected. I've connected several devices using Bluetooth. [ Godofredo  Dec 02, 2016 ]
Yes it does. I don't feel the need to use it often and it's easy to turn off. [ Ken  Dec 01, 2016 ]
No. You have to turn it on every time. It works wonderfully, though. Pushing a button each time is a small price to pay to be able to understand what people are saying. We love the product! [ Eileen  Nov 30, 2016 ]
As near as I can tell, the unit retains all settings between power on/off. I just tested with the Output leveling and it stayed on. [ MARK J  Nov 30, 2016 ]
If by dialogue clarity mode you mean the accuvoice feature then yes it does stay activated until you change the sound mode. [ Chris  Nov 30, 2016 ]
I do not know exactly, but I can say that it did sync easily with my cable providers remote control unit. Very easy to set up and complete. Offers enough sound for me, though I do not have it in an "in home' theater type setting. Hope this helps! [ Henry  Jul 07, 2015 ]
We love the sound of our Zvox unit but we have not yet figured out how to do volume control with the ATT Uverse remote. We have to use 3 remotes at this point: Samsung TV, Uverse and Zvox. Not ideal but the sound on the Zvox makes it worth the hassle. [ Eileen  Jul 03, 2015 ]
Sorry I don't know. [ Kurt  Jul 03, 2015 ]
I have not tried ATT Uverse, but it works with DISH remote, so I would guess it will work with others. Syncing was a fast and simple process. [ ALAN  Jul 03, 2015 ]
