Touch the beauty of HD video
Turn today's escapades into tomorrow's viral video buzz with the Kodak PlayTouch. Its large 3" touchscreen puts the camera controls right at your fingertips, so it's easy and intuitive to record and share high-def videos. And when you hold the cam horizontally, the picture automatically rotates and expands so your widescreen videos fill the screen.
Easy video recording and editing
Simply touch any face in the frame to track your friends and capture them with optimized video settings. Or get creative with your video and select from four different effects, like black and white or "70's film." With on-screen editing, you can easily keep the moments you want and trim the ones you don't — without a computer.
When you're ready to share, connect the PlayTouch to your computer via the convenient flip-out USB arm. Then press the on-screen "Share" button and your videos are automatically ready for uploading to YouTube, Facebook®, Kodak Gallery, and Flickr, or for attaching to an email you can send to friends and family. This pocket-friendly cam also comes with an HDMI cable, so you can hook it up to your TV and enjoy your HD video on the biggest screen in your house.

Just what I needed
Pros: Great camera
I can't believe the technology. Coming from a Flip, this is 10 times better. It's easy to use. Built-in options are numerous, including the option to switch from video to stills, resolution, image stabilization, and more. The video quality is excellent. High saturation, black and white, and sepia options are fun to play with. The feature that I like the best is the ability to use an external microphone. So much of "home" video falls short because of poor audio. I had an old Radio Shack lavalier mike, plugged it in, and it works great. A $20 add-on gives me everything that I was looking for. I see this is a great way for people who are looking to add video to their websites to get the job done quickly and economically.
Used this to record my wife's choral solo performance and it was great, even in lower light conditions. Was concerned the built in mic wouldn't work well but it did an outstanding job. An excellent bargain and we've used it for a number of occasions since then. I highly recommend it.
This Kodak product (like most of them) is an exceptionally featured device/ camera/ camcorder easy to use and great quality in both video and pictures. The added features since the Vi8 model just makes it that much better and the external 3.5 mic/ earphone jack was a key selling point for me. The product arrived very quickly and in its brand new state as it should. I would buy again both Kodak products and if available from this website, very reliable.
For years I have had camcorders, 8mm, digital etc cameras. I just needed a small unit that could do the job and have good general pictures. Well this little thing has HD quality, great sound in near proximity and is probably the best bang for the buck until you need to step up to the Camcorder Format. I cant really say anything bad about this unit. Just remember this is a pocket sized unit but dont let that fool you.

Overview: The Kodak Zi10 PlayTouch is a pocket-sized digital video camera that is capable of recording high definition or standard definition video and digital still images. It has a 3" LCD touchscreen for recording and playing back your videos and still images.
File Format: The Zi10 PlayTouch records video in MPEG-4 (H.264) format with AAC-LC mono audio, and JPEG still images. You can choose between the following capture modes:
Internal Memory: The camera features a built-in 128 MB internal memory. Approximately 20 MB is available for image storage.
SD/SDHC: Optional SD or SDHC (high capacity) memory cards can be used to store videos and still images. The Zi10 PlayTouch can accept SD/SDHC cards up to 32 GB. A 32 GB card can record up to 10 hours of HD video (720p @ 30 fps).
Lens: The Zi10 PlayTouch has a fixed focus 3.9mm, f/2.8 lens. The 35mm equivalent is 44mm for 1080p, and 33mm for 720p, WVGA, and still capture. The focusing range is 3.3' to infinity in Normal mode, and 6" in Macro mode. The camera also has a 4x digital zoom.
Controls: The PlayTouch only has two physical buttons: the Power On/Off button, and the shutter release. All of the other controls and indicators are displayed on the LCD touchscreen:
LCD Glare Shield: The PlayTouch features two LCD Glare Shield filters to help you see your subject on the display screen easier in reflective outdoor settings. You can choose High Contrast, B&W (Black & White), or Normal (no filter). These filters apply only to the display screen, not to the videos or images.
Electronic Image Stabilization: For sharper videos and still images, the PlayTouch has built-in Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), which can be turned on or off in the menu.
Magnifying A Picture: When reviewing your still images, you can tap the Magnify (+) icon on the screen to magnify the image. With each tap, the magnification increases to 2x, 4x, 6x, or 8x. A double-tap quickly zooms to 8x. Double-tapping the Magnify (-) icon quickly returns the image to 1x size.
Playback Modes: During video playback, you can fast forward and fast rewind in 2 different speeds: 2x or 4x. When video is paused, you can advance the video one frame at a time in forward or reverse direction.
Share: Videos and pictures can be easily shared on various social networking websites. You can choose from the following sites: Kodak Gallery, Facebook, Flickr, Orkut, and YouTube. Pictures can also be emailed directly from the camera while connected to your computer (Internet connection required).
Flip-out USB: The PlayTouch has a built-in USB Type A plug that conveniently flips out for plugging into your computer for uploading pictures and videos.
HDMI and A/V Outputs: The Zi10 PlayTouch allows you to view your videos on your HDTV via the supplied HDMI cable (mini-HDMI to full-size HDMI). You can also connect the camera to a non-HDTV using the supplied A/V cable with mono audio and composite video.
Headphone Out/Microphone In: On the top of the PlayTouch is a 3.5mm minijack, which can be used to connect an external microphone or a pair of headphones. When a device is plugged into the jack, you are asked to select headphones or microphone in the touchscreen menu, depending upon which device is plugged in.
Optional Remote Control: The Zi10 PlayTouch has an infrared eye near the lens for use with an optional remote control (item # 738PVCR).
Power Requirements: The Zi10 PlayTouch operates on the supplied KLIC-7004 Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery (3.6V/1000mAh). The battery can be charged on standard household current using the supplied USB cable and AC adapter, or connected to your computer via the USB cable. Charging takes 2 hours on AC current and 4 hours via USB. The battery can also be charged with the optional Kodak K-7600C battery charger (sold separately).
Built-in Software: When you first connect your camera to your computer, you can choose to download ArcSoft MediaImpression for Kodak (for Windows-based PCs only), or the Kodak Camera Setup App (for Windows and Macintosh), or both. Mac users can also use the Apple iLife suite of products to edit, personalize, make DVDs, share via YouTube and Apple Online Sharing Services (iWeb and MobileMe), or with iTunes for synching with the iPhone, iPod, or Apple TV.
