Advanced design and top-notch construction for better sound
Thoughtful engineering and high-quality construction are hallmarks of NAD audio components. The C 165BEE's sophisticated circuit design uses the shortest, cleanest signal paths possible for noise-free operation. This also helps preserve the lowest-levels of musical detail for sound that remains remarkably pure and transparent. A heavy-gauge steel chassis adds to the C 165BEE's durability and vibration resistance. NAD even employed an interference-canceling toroidal transformer in the preamp's power supply for punchy, dynamic performance.

Connections and convenience
This preamp offers enough inputs to connect seven audio components, including your turntable. Two preamp outputs let you use the C 165BEE to drive two independent power amplifiers. A mono subwoofer output makes it easy add a powered sub. And the included remote gives you easy control of the preamp, and the other NAD audio components in your system.

Excellent Pre-Amp! Has all the controls needed to create excellent sound. Also there are plenty of input jacks to hold all of my sound equipment.

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

Reviews and specifications, and have owned other NAD products. [ Albert  Jun 05, 2017 ]
NAD IS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT STILL MAKES ANALOG preamps that sound great and you do not have to take out a second mortgage to own. plus you can also hook up a EQ ,to this preamp [ Daniel  May 11, 2017 ]
I check this preamplificador many times before I buy it. I buy before a preamp with XLR connections. Not with you guys. And the USB port doesn't work and soo expensive. I put it back and at the time I get my money back I buy my NAD preamplificador with you guys. And I love it. At the first time I was unsure if I keep it or not. But a couple days later I decide keep it. I have a marantz amp, pair of Klipsch Reference speakers and a Martin Logan Dynamo 500 sub. Sounds great [ FERNANDO MONTAN  Mar 23, 2017 ]
All analog, switched and un-switched convenience outlets, stereo subwoofer capability, remote control, size, tone defeat, phono stage. [ GG  Dec 23, 2016 ]
You get what you pay for with NAD and it is a good quality replacement preamp for two channel with a lot of inputs and outputs. [ William C.  Dec 08, 2016 ]
It has tone controls, unbalanced outputs for both my power amp and headset amp, and a subwoofer output. I need all three capabilities. The Cambridge would have been my first choice, except for having only one unbalanced output. [ G  Nov 15, 2016 ]
Best fit to my needs. [ Russell  Nov 10, 2016 ]
Feature set, price, NAD reputation [ Mike  Sep 02, 2016 ]
Great reputation since I can remember. The quality lives up to my expectations. [ Heagan  Jun 15, 2016 ]
price and features [ brad  Jun 04, 2016 ]
very clean [ Brian  Jun 03, 2016 ]
Surprisingly favorable reviews, given the price. [ Stephen  Dec 31, 2015 ]
A lot of positive from user reviews. [ KHUONG  Dec 09, 2015 ]

2 questions already asked

don't know [ Lonnie  Oct 22, 2015 ]
I'm not familiar with the amps referenced, but my pre amp is hooked to a Haffler DH-500 and so far works and sounds great after a few months of burn in. [ Miguel  Oct 21, 2015 ]
Yes,great combo for warm and clear analog through Dynaco ST 70 tube amplify, but you must use preamp between them to control the volume up and down. [ KHUONG  Oct 21, 2015 ]
It does send the full signal through all of its outputs. There is no dedicated sub output with low frequency only. [ Peter  Dec 08, 2015 ]
Thanks [ Wendell  Mar 03, 2014 ]
I have no idea if it splits the base but this is just a low-cost, excellent system for a small room and not in the category of a complete amplifier which has more options. I don't use the SW [ RICHARD  Feb 26, 2014 ]
