Overview: The Kenko Teleplus HD DGX 2.0x teleconverter that effectively increases the focal length of your lens by 2.0x. For example, a 2.0x teleconverter turns a 400mm lens into the equivalent of an 800mm lens. The teleconverter is placed between the camera body and the lens. This model works with Nikon cameras and lenses with the standard Nikon bayonet mount. The teleconverter comes with a drawstring pouch for protection when not in use.
Design: The Teleplus HD DGX teleconverter has 5 lens elements in 3 groups, and features high quality, multi-coated glass, made by Hoya Corporation, the largest manufacturer of optical glass in the world. The teleconverter's Gate Array Integrated Circuitry maintains signal integrity between the camera body and the lens. This allows the camera to more accurately record the exif exposure data (meta-data recorded with a digital picture), transmitting the equivalent aperture and focal length of the lens setting plus teleconverter.
Performance: This Kenko teleconverter can be used with Nikon AF-S G and E lenses and corresponding Tokina lenses. When the teleconverter is used, there is only a 2-stop light loss. Full Auto Focus operation is possible with the teleconverter when using a lens with an open aperture of F4 or brighter. Full AF will work properly only if there is enough light and contrast on the subject to activate the camera's AF sensors. For lenses with smaller open f-stop values, manual focusing may be necessary.

Should work fine with D3300. Does poorly auto focusing with zoom lenses, have to manual focus. Works pretty with prime lenses. You lose 2 F stops using this. [ Denise Dec 05, 2017 ]
