Our take on the Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker

Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your sub deliver real low-frequency firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches. Bass Bunkers make a great solution when building your own box is not an option.

The BB12-150V ported enclosure holds one 12" subwoofer and offers an internal volume of 1.60 cubic feet. Its large vents feature rounded inner corners that keep port noise to a minimum for more accurate response. Just add the right sub, amp, and wiring, then mount the enclosure securely, and you're ready to hit the road with some real bass artillery in your arsenal.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Bass Bunker exceeded my expectations for a ported box! Sound is so crisp and clear and it makes the sub hit ever so hard! Highly recommend!!!

I recently bought a new car and my trunk is smaller then my last car. So I needed a smaller box to fit in my trunk with out giving up any of my bass. And these boxes were mentioned and referred to me so I'm going to try them out. I also had the opportunity to place two of these boxes in my trunk to see how they fit and hold up. Though I'm not a service consultant for crutchfield I can almost guarantee they carry a custom fit box perfectly for your Chevy.. I bought the JL stealth box for my Tacoma Double Cab and have been more then happy with it. [ STEPHEN  Jan 12, 2016 ]

Yes it would...it's a very sturdy well built box... [ BRIAN  May 18, 2015 ]
no box is to small [ IAN  May 18, 2015 ]
yes, it'd sound good and last awhile. I have a power acoustic 12 mofo 2500 max getting pushed by 1200 watts and sounds pretty good. The air flow on it is pretty nice too, but I like ported boxes. [ ASHTON  May 18, 2015 ]
I would say yes. Mine looked very well built. I installed a pioneer spl 3000 with a hifonics 2000 watt. Only pushing around 1000 rms but the box is holding up perfectly. Sounds great and i personally think it looks better than any other sub box I've seen. [ ROBERT  May 18, 2015 ]
It should I have an alpine type r in it now 1000 rms going to the sub. Sounds great. [ ARBEN  May 18, 2015 ]
I had the 3500w champion pro and it was perfect. [ JDers  Jul 11, 2015 ]
I have no idea. I purchased the Polk Audio sub and it works perfectly. Sorry I can't help with your question. FYI - Crutchfield's return policy is very good if it doesn't work for you. [ Bob  Feb 24, 2015 ]
I don't have a champion, but I recently just replaced my busted JL sub with a more powerful 12 inch Alpine sws-1243D and have had no complaints or issues with either sub in it. I've had the box for almost 4 years now as well. Hope that gives you some insight or at least a reference point. [ JASON T  Feb 24, 2015 ]
I purchased this box and mounted an original pioneer spl 3000 in it and it rocks. the inside of the box is reinforced and is very solidly built in my opionion. I'd definitely recommend it over any other single sub box out there. [ ROBERT  Feb 24, 2015 ]
