Our take on the Sound Ordnance™ Bass Bunker

Sound Ordnance's rugged Bass Bunker enclosures come built to last and ready to help your speakers deliver real firepower. These unloaded boxes feature high-grade, medium-density fiberboard construction, with sealed inner braces that help combat resonance by reducing vibrations. Rounded outside corners and recessed panels allow them to fit into more vehicles, while tough black carpeting defends against incoming nicks and scratches.

The BB692-T truck-style enclosures are a great alternative if you can't install your 6"x9"s in the factory speaker openings in your car or truck. Each enclosure holds a single 6"x9" speaker and offers an internal volume of 0.17 cubic feet. And at 6-1/8" deep, they'll fit behind the seats in almost any truck.

Warning: This enclosure does not include mounting hardware. If you're buying a sub from us, please check "What's in the Box?" to see if screws are included. If not, you should have an assortment of heavy-duty wood screws on hand for the installation.

Well worth the money

Features

Materials: The Sound Ordnance BB692-T Bass Bunker is two unloaded, truck-style sealed enclosures, each holding one 6x9 speaker. It is constructed of 3/8" MDF (medium-density fiberboard), covered in black carpet.

Internal Box Volume: Each enclosure has 0.17 cubic feet of airspace.

Terminals: Each enclosure has a pair of spring-post speaker terminals mounted in the rear panel. The spring terminals will accept bare wire up to 12 gauge, pin connectors, and single banana plugs, but are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. Inside the enclosure, each set of terminals has an attached 18" length of speaker wire for connecting the speaker.

Brackets: Brackets for securing the enclosures to your vehicle are recommended.

They'll fit where I need them to go and I trust Crutchfields products. I'm sure I could make something similar but not not at this cost and I expect the quality of these boxes to more than meet my expectations. [ ANASTACIO  Dec 23, 2016 ]

My car is a 30 year old collector vehicle, with only (2) 4" speakers. I don't want to cut any holes in the door cards or panels, so I'm using the speaker boxes to fit in the rear wheel wells to upgrade the sound [ Philip  Sep 05, 2016 ]
Adding 6x9 speakers to the front of a 2017 Newmar motor home. Unsure which speaker boxes will look or fit better, so I ordered both to test fit. [ Douglas  Aug 29, 2016 ]

I'm not sure. I bought these for my Ford F-350 1 ton single cab. They fit behind the bench seat with it all the way back. I don't know how much room is in your jump seat area. [ James  Apr 10, 2017 ]

I would think so they fit behind the seat of my love just barely. [ PETER  Oct 16, 2014 ]
They will ,but if you have long legs like me they will be almost against you seat but the good part about that is if you have good subs and plenty of power to push them then what you have is a built in back massager [ CECIL H  Sep 30, 2014 ]
Should fit .nice sound and nice looks [ JAMIE A  Sep 29, 2014 ]
They should fit behind the seats (standing up). But these guys are kinda bulky. But make sure when you do buy it, YOU BUY 2! What I thought was a great deal was a bust, cuz it only ended up buying 1 vs a pair... [ ARN  Sep 29, 2014 ]
