The Sound Ordnance M-1350 mono subwoofer amplifier packs a 350-watt wallop that'll give your subwoofers some serious firepower. An adjustable low-pass filter and a variable bass boost allow you to control your bass barrage at will.
The M-1350 amplifier uses sophisticated power supply and output technologies to ensure clean amplification from the input all the way to your speakers. Special circuits protect the amp from overheating and short circuits, and a turn-on delay virtually eliminates that annoying thump when you turn your system on.

Pros: Love it.
Cons: Wish it had a fan, but I will rig one up
As I am not an expert on amps it does the job and that's about as much as i know. it does get insanely hot if you run it for an extended period of time, and by run i mean tee off the cars next to you for a half hour. I wonder if I could get more boom out of my 12 inch kicker that has about the same output or input power ratings. but as hard as this must be working for it to get as hot as it does I wonder if i could get more boom out of the next step up SO amp. Key being i would still go with SO because they are worth the money.
Pros: keeps my kicker going plenty loud
Cons: Unbelievably hot
I bought this amp to add to my car's very complex integrated audio system. I needed a supplemental sub amp to drive a 12" Pioneer Sub. Like many in this scenario, I needed the amp to fasten to the sub box, making the install easy to disconnect if I needed more trunk space. The connections to the amp are just fine - easy to access but somewhat hidden away. There are plastic sides (ends) have 2 holes each for mounting screws. This is not ideal. Secondly, the plastic ends leave plenty of exposure to the terminals. Hidden from view - but not from items in your trunk that might slide around. It would be better to have covers that snap into place or can be easily screwed onto the amp chassis. This aside, the amp is powerful, has plenty of tweaking options, and will rumble the trunk hinges loose if I drive it hard enough. For the price, you probably will find it hard to beat. It does seem to run a bit warm.
Pros: Plenty of power, price, crossover, bass boost.
Cons: Mounting method, size (somewhat large).
The amp is sturdy and has some nice weight to it, also, the amp is pretty big. Everything hooked up fine, personally I am a fan of the wire-only connections. All those lugs do is fall apart. 8 gauge wiring fit the amp like a dream.
Pros: Good sound, good frequency range, good build quality, hefty, dirt cheap.
Cons: Could have used a couple more controls, or at least, SO could have not given the common controls like 'Gain' their own names.
Replaced my second Soundstream Mono amp for 2 MTX 10"s with the M-1350. Both the Soundstreams failed within 2 yrs. Both, which is odd for a Soundstream. Installed this amp. Great little unit with plenty of clean power. I wanted something a bit smaller than the monsterous sized soundstream that barely fit under the seat of my Nissan Titan. The M-1350 worked well. I added an external cooling fan as the airflow under the seat is non-existent and this little guy gets warm. Install was tricky, however. The design for the mounting screws is a bad one. I took of the silly plastic plate and first attached in to a piece of wood (see pic), then installed the amp. Much easier this way, but be careful as the plastic cover is cheap and scratches easily. If anything, if you want something clean that is very reasonably priced, this amp should work well for you. Can't beat the 3 year warranty.
Pros: Good performer at a very good price.
Cons: Stupid plastic mounting plate is just that: stupid. Bad design and annoying.
This amp is great me subs are hitting harder than they were with my all amp
Pros: Remote control Bass boost Looks great
I doubt there is a better amp on the market in this price range. The mono-sub amp connects easily and has good punch with the Rockford Fosgate R2S-1X10 10".
This amp was actually pretty surprising. For $110 it performs far and above what I was expecting. With everything turned down to the lowest setting the level of bass that I achievers was astounding. I've recommended this to several friends already who were amazed by the sound.
Pros: Low cost Clean sound Small footprint Easy install Simple controls Bass volume knob included
Cons: The terminals are under the trim at the ends. These can be removed to attach the power and speaker wires. There aren't any other cons that I can think of.
I must say this amp kicks more than what I expected. At first I was a little hesitant since I have always used either pioneer or rockford fosgate amps but since i saw the amp was backed up by Cruthfield I figure I would give it a shot. I am so glad I did! This amp gave me a good boom in my trunk and the sound was more than what I expected plus the price you can not beat at all. I will be ordering another one for sure.
Pros: Small size, super low price and very easy to install....
Cons: can't find one yet....
Does exactly what I need it to do without the big name price!
Pros: Very solid piece! Really like the performance, looks and price!
Cons: None at this time.
Good amp for the price. If you are not entering competition, I highly recommend this amp.
Pros: Price, sound, appearance, low profile height.
Cons: Inputs are not standard. Have too use bare wiring instead of end pieces, works, just feels awkward.
Had one of these in a truck I sold, so when I got another truck, had to get this unit again. Very dependable, clean sound. Use it to drive an 8" Infinity sub in a closed box- nice tight bass
Pros: Love the remote variable output that it comes with; installed it in the extra slot under the head unit. It is real handy to adjust the bass for the type of music that is being played on the fly
Cons: The chrome end covers are a pain when wiring the install. But after that, who cares
Very pleased. Put this on two JBL GT0804 running a two and pushes them hard. No heat issues. Everyone complaining about the terminals has obviously never had an amp with end caps. Just remove the two Allen screws and the cap will slide off for easy access. No issues.
Pros: Good power from inexpensive amp.
I bought this amp to power 2 kicker 10c104s. All I have to say is that this is by far one of the best amps that I have come across. Powers my 2 10s with no problem and slams
Pros: Easy instructions
Cons: The only con is the way that it mounts to your box/vehicle. just a pain
Bought a 10 in JL audio sub and paired this amp with the speaker and definetly happy with my purchase. Recommend this to anyone who needs a great amp to power their subwoofer.
Pros: Very reasonable price Delivers what I need out of my sub
I threw this on my Single Kicker CVR and it sounds clearer than some of the more expensive amps i have used. The speaker was a hand me down from a friend that took it out of his old car and with this amp it sounds better than when he had it with a crunch amp.
Pros: 1.Great quality sound 2. Very well priced 3. Small enough to hide
Cons: Can over heat fairly quickly if you are really beating on it.
Very simple to install, also very sleek design and isn't and eye sore. Very powerful for the size. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to start upgrading your music listing experience
I bought this amp to replace my crap old one that burnt up. This amp is AMAZING! The sound is very clear and it has very good heat management.WORTH THE MONEY!!!
Pros: Sounds and works great.Came with amp kit.
Buddy in customer service fixed me up with the Sound Ordnance M-1350 paired with a Polk Audio db1040dvc and what a combo! I put this in a '98 Corvette and it sounds AMAZING. I was going for a setup that made minimal impact on the stock appearance of the car. The amp is mounted on the back wall of my trunk area and, while it is visible, it fits well in the car. It's very easy to setup and dial in. The remote control works well through its full range whereas others I've tried are pretty much on or off. The remote is also very small and can be mounted discretely. I chose to tuck mine under the drivers seat, again to maintain stock appearance. Be careful on your choice of wiring kit... The power terminals will max out with a 6 gage wire. The amp itself has air vents on the bottom... Although the directions don't specify, I mounted mine on rubber isolators to give it a little clearance for those vents. Bottom line, for the very affordable price tag, you won't likely be disappointed.... And with customer service like Crutchfield, where's the risk?!
Pros: Nice appearance, easy to dial in, good clean sound, ample features (low pass filter, subsonic filter, remote bass boost, internal protection, wide range on the gain) and above all else, great price! When I got mine, the wiring kit was included as a promo offer. It's got some weight and feels like a well built product in hand.
Cons: Be sure to use a good, sharp #2 Phillips screwdriver on the terminal blocks. The design of the case will prevent you from being straight on the terminal screws. This wasn't a problem for me and the driver didn't slip, just be aware of this. Also, read above about the air vents on the bottom. Still, this is hardly something to quibble about for such a solid product.
Bought this amp to power my 12in Infinity reference 1262w sub. it is 300w rms and 1200w peak power. This amp at 2 ohms is undeniably powerful and gets the job done. The bass knob that comes free with this amp is very useful to allow you to adjust to the bass you want. it has several filters to tune it to where it needs to be. I have a closed box and this shakes my car and stands my hairs up. i was expecting much less out of a modestly priced amp, but it proved me wrong. it is a very nice looking amp and is easily mounted with the screws that are provided. m1350 is the perfect amp for some good sounding bass.
Pros: Looks good easily adjustable filters free bass remote
Cons: kind of hard to attach wires but a drill will fit if you figure that out like i did
Great amp for the price. Amp is powering my 10" Kicker CompR in my 2013 F150 supercrew. Sounds amazing
I am using this amp to power the Sound Ordnance M2-8SVC sub. The sub is in the Select Increments XJ-Pod 8" Subwoofer box for 84-01 Jeep Cherokees. The head-unit is the Alpine CDE-153BT CD Receiver. Together, it sounds great and I wish I had done this years ago. I did not give this product a 5 star rating because of the inadequate instructions.
Pros: does the job
Cons: Since the directions that come with this amp are not specifically written for this model amp, some of the 1350-model features are not mentioned in the instructions. For example, the pictures of the amp connections and switches display options that do not exist for this amp. They also fail to display some of the options that this model amp does have (subsonic filter for example). The directions do not mention the input signal adjustment, which as set from the factory, will cause the sub to pro
350watt RMS On a 350watt rms sub and I cant even get it to 3/4 volume without stressing my sub. True rms ratings, and a clean output. Nothing more to say...
Pros: Looks cool Cheap Functional (just as good as more expensive) True rms Easy to setup Free Wiring kit (crutchfield only)
Cons: Ambiguous crossover and gain settings Some external parts are cheap plastic Have to take the side panel off to wire it up. Not the most secure wire crimps
My second sound ordinance purchase first was a set of 6x9's and now an amp to run a Kicker 10. Very impressed with SO and the performance had for the price. Love the remote amp gain very nice for adjusting to different styles of music.
Pros: Great value and performance for the price
Great sub for the price.
Pros: Lots of bass
I have this amp on a single 12 inch pioneer and it sounds great. It's in an ex cab F150 and for the price can't be beat. Thanks
Pros: Great value, good power
The Sound Ordinance M-1350 is a wonderfully powerful amp and It hasn't skipped a beat. It powering my 2 12" MTX Terminators and they sound great with this amp and I'm very content!
Pros: Very powerful, Never shut off, Never overheated
Cons: Does get hot
I bought this amp to pair with a Kicker L5 that I had purchased a while back. It gives a good amount of power (wired for 2 ohm load) and is quite capable of filling my Tahoe with either solid sounded bass, or the loud bumping and thumping depending on the song. The remote, but wired, level control is a nice feature to add extra control of the sound level
Pros: Price, Wiring Kit, Power
Cons: Wiring connections
Fro the price, this is gonna be hard to beat.
Pros: Solidly built, great sound, extra adjustment pots on the unit.
Cons: Made in China
Nice unit easy connections. Manual description of adjustments does not match what it actually says on the amp.
Cons: The owners manual
Easy to install, remote knob works great, powers my 12" sub perfectly.
The stock amplifier powering the subwoofer in my BMW Z3 finally gave up so it was time to upgrade. Wow! What a difference this amp made! I had already replaced the head unit and all of the speakers but there was always something not quite right with the sound. I have this amp powering a Polk 8" dual voice coil sub that replaced the 5.25" stock sub. I had to make some custom modifications in the space between the roll bars to make it fit. After installing the new subwoofer I was initially disappointed that the bass response wasn't any better. When the stock amplifier quit I thought, now I can get some bass! I knew it could sound better and man, does it ever! This amp running just the sub has made all the difference. I have lows that I never had before and much clearer mid bass. I had my wife sit in the car and listen and she said, "My seat is shaking". Nuff said! Obviously with my set up I'm not going to be rattling the neighbors windows when I drive by but, it is so nice to finally have decent sound in my convertible. Just in time for summer too! Easy to install and plenty of room for sound adjustments with the bass boost feature!
Pros: Awesome power for the price. Good looking amp too.
Cons: A little on the big side.
This amp works well until it fries out your head unit. I had been using this amplifier with a JL sub for about a year running it at 4 ohms. I hooked up a brand new kicker L3 to it at two ohms and withing an 30 minutes of listening to it i heard a loud thud and then a buzzing noise from the sub. While I was checking the ground I noticed the protect mode light on the amp was flashing on periodically. I hooked up a new JL amp and still got the buzzing. I then hooked up another kenwood head unit and the buzzing stopped. So now I have to send back my head unit for repairs, pay the shipping costs, and wait about 3 weeks with no radio. I will only be able to get a gift card for the amp which also annoys me. I would not recommend this to a friend. I am using a JL amp pushing 250 watts rms and it sounds way better with the JL. I am very disappointed with Crutchfield. I will be trying to purchase my electronics locally in the future.
Pros: Works well at 4 ohms. For a cheap amp it does what it is supposed to do
Cons: The speaker connections are at a terrible angle and are very hard to connect. This unit also gets pretty hot as others have said.
The sub looks great , sounds great good power as a sub amp
Pros: Looks and power and price
Great amp! You get wayyyy more than you pay for in my opinion. I've worked and have been in the mobile electronics field since eq boosters were the only type of external amp you could get. Gave this amp a shot because of the price, and it actually surprised me. It won't be enough to break glass or flex your panels, but for the price, it's wayyy worth it. I have it running a single dvc 12" (in my family car) and it pushes a lot better than my old Alpine mrv-757. Worth more than what you pay for it.
Does it's job well. Powering a JL CS112-WXv2
Cons: Gets pretty hot, can cause burns if touched after a number bass-heavy songs
This is a great amp, i loved it. For the longest time i was using it in my house while I was working on running the wiring and setting up my car to bounce. This amp runs my 2 Diamond CX122s perfectly and i love the remote that it has, very helpful to turn down the volume in a hurry. contrary to other reviews, this amp does have the power to shake the neighborhood, i got up to 111Db with this baby without tuning, so it kicks butt. Although, I'm fairly sure that with limited space and having to put the amp on top of my subs decreased the life of it for use in the car........to about 4 days. This amp shut off all of a sudden and I heard a crackling, then it came back online about 15 minutes later and it wouldn't shut off, mind you my car is shut off. No fuses were ruined or burnt, I checked them all. Once all seemed fine I started it up again and either the amp was feeding my subs a distorted sounding bass or due to the shutoff it damaged my expensive woofers (dont mean to brag or rant but I worked 8 hours a day for my summer break to buy this crap). Hopefully it didnt damage them but due to this I have lost some trust in the amplifier. I would love to thank Crutchfield though because they sent me another one free and it just got here today!
Pros: Looks cool, cheap, affordable, works well, good ability to adjust sound output, long wired remote that goes to the amp for quick volume control, pretty small, light weight
Cons: short trunk life (if mounted on top of woofer enclosure), that's all. This amp......this amp man, great amp
this thing rocks,im running to 12's with it,i would say if you are looking to shake the neighbor hood it make lack in that dept.maybe with 10's,but with the 12's,its a little weak.it does shake everything in the car,and for what i like it's perfect.it does run a little warm in 2 ohm mode.i think as long as you give it breathing room it will be fine.i would recomend this thing to anyone.it gives great low lows,it will rattle you in the vehicle, maybe its my sub box thats looking for more power, sealed boxes tend to do that.but this is alot of power for what it cost.
Mated perfect with my Polk 10 sub. Is very clean. Can't go wrong with Sound Ordnance.
Pros: Clean power, easy hook up, and looks good in my truck.
Paired with my 10" rockford fosgate amp this thing is great! Great power for my amp and hits awesome! Great price and it looks really good too!
Pros: Great price and value, looks good, bad amp!
Cons: Screws to mount it are kind of hard to get to, but thats it!
great amp plenty of power. definitely alot of bang for the buck. can easily push 2 subs.
Pros: price,power, lots of adjustments,good appearance,great value,plenty of punch.
Cons: needs a side cover for appearance
For a budget amp, this amp makes the JL's sound great.
Pros: A good match in power to JL Audio 10's in sealed enclosure.
Cons: A bit bulky for an amp
i snagged this amp when it was on sale and it was worth the money. i hooked it to one of the sound ordinance subs and makes a big difference in the sound that it puts out. it looks really nice with the silver and black. i like how it has an extra control that you can wire up to the front of the car where you can control the power being put through the sub. it is super awesome.
Pros: mostly easy to install, looks super cool
Cons: the screws where you install the wires is a bit uncomfortable to get to
Good Price and nice sound. Does what it needs to do, Power a SUB. Has alot of features you normally would not find, like adjustable subsonic and remote to name a few. I only have it powering a single 8" Kicker running free air. Does just what it needs to do. Once I hit the States, it will be used to power two 8" Kickers, and I know it would be plenty for it. Nice clean sound coming out as well. One thing I like about the remote that comes with it, is that acts more like a gain adjuster, not a set freq bass booster. There is a bass booster on the amp that boost the bass at whatever freq is facatory set at. But overall, this thing is awesome and with an awesome price. I really wish I bought all of my amps from the S/O line. I would have saved money with the same results.
Pros: Good features and good price
It's everything you need for a low wattage amp. It gives out just enough power for my subwoofer. It also never overheats and it rarely even gets warm. This is a great first amp for a first subwoofer.
Pros: Good air flow, small
Cons: Not a lot of power
I got this amp for my jl audio sub that I got...it has good power and ran my sub with ease. It even had a bass booster! I like it a lot and will continue to use it with my sub's
Pros: Bass booster and low pass and subsonic filter and powers sub's with ease
Using this to power a kicker 10' at 4ohm. This was my first amp and sub combo plus I did the install myself. I have zero experience doing any of this stuff. For me this totally does the job. The amp was very easy to install and wire up. It has plenty of power for this sub. If you need an amp to power subs this is a great one.
Awesome amp at an awesome value. Like people said below, the angled inputs for wires are a little annoying since the side covers make it hard to get to with a screwdriver, but it's completely manageable. I'm also not sure if it's common to put the cooling vents on the bottom of the amp, but I hope that doesn't become an issue. I did use some spacers between my sub and the amp so that it has some more room to cool just in case. Looks great and performs great so far. Love the remote gain control that comes with it too. Would highly recommend.
Pros: Looks great. Great value - a lot of power for the money.
Cons: Angled wiring inputs make for more difficult installation than necessary. Air vents are on bottom of amp.
If you are looking for a cheap amp to drive a small entry level sub, this will get the job done. I just needed some sound in a car which isn't used often, so I paired this with an old RF HE2 10. Careful, it will get pretty hot. I have yet to shut it down, but it got very hot after an hour of play and I mounted the amp with 1/4" spacers to make sure the vents on the bottom were not obstructed. I tune amps using test tones and a multimeter, when tuning this amp it wouldnt get near target voltage which makes me think it wont produce a full 350 watts, but keep in mind the price of this amp. Also, the endcaps make it difficult to get to the connections, so if mounting in a tight space keep this in mind. All in all, if you are just getting started, and might upgrade in the future this isn't a bad place to start.
Pros: Good entry level amp with a good warranty sold by a solid company Sub Sonic filter - Rare on amps at this price point
Cons: Heat True produced power Size Layout - Can be challanging to get to connections
I'm powering 2 10" Kickers 150 RMS each, with this amp and it does the job great. Only down side was having to take off the decorative chrome piece to install the wiring. It was very easy, just seemed like a poor design. I highly recommend this amp though if you're on a budget and don't need a ton of power.
Pros: Cheap, plenty of power, brushed aluminum sides look nice, remote gain control
Cons: Awkward wiring, and kind of big. There are vents on the bottom of the amp which seems like a bad idea, after mounting the amp the vents don't get any air. I've only had the amp for 2 weeks, so time will tell how important those vents are.
No problems it all, works like it should!!!!!!!
Pros: Great Amp!!!!
Let me prefice this by saying that I am an engineering student, with a great degree of experience with circuits and audio systems, I have been doing this a LONG time. I installed this amplifier with an Infinity 1252w, and tuned the amplifier to output about half the volume it was capable of. High quality, high gauge wires, and careful installation. After about an hour of driving, my bass dissappered, and upon driving home, noticed the protection LED was lit. I carefully removed the speaker wire and RCA inputs, one at a time at a time, shutting down for ten seconds and rebooting after each one, Still lit. I then removed the amp, and hooked it up to my test system on my work bench. Hooking it up to a remote battery with high gauge wire, and running it to a Kicker L7, I found that the unit, without ANY music playing, became VERY hot, and then blew the fuses. Rechecked all the connections and then inserted new fuses, they blew immediately, with and without speaker attached. Needless to say, I did my due diligence, and this particular unit was JUNK. Perhaps just a lemon, that remains to be seen when S/O returns my email. Hopefully they stand behind their product.
Pros: CHEAP, Looks good
Cons: Doesn't work
I decided to add a dedicated amp to power my sub whoofer aboard my boat. The staff at Crutchfield were extremely helpful with determining my sub's power handling capabilities and selecting a suitable amp. The tech support team supplied installation instructions that made installing and connecting the amp a breeze.
Pros: Great amp with an outstanding warranty and tech support.
Cons: None so far
this thing rocks, i hooked it up with 2 10 inch kickers and wired them for 2 ohms, sounds awesome, but if youre looking to shake the ground or ratthe body panels, just know this wont cut it.
Pros: everything, small, easy to install
Cons: awkward wire input placement, its at an angle and i had to remove the fake chrome part to install.
I have this paired with my Polk Audio DXi 108 and the pair is just unbelievable. I was very surprised at the outcome but I would recommend that pair to anybody. And I like how the bass controller is included, I mounted it right next to my drivers seat on the center counsel and its perfect for adjustments when needed.
Pros: Great power output. Bass controller included.
I would highly recommend this amp. You get lots of bang for the buck. I coupled this with 2 10' kicker subs(150w rms each). It powers both no problem. I found the gain control a bit confusing. There is no gain control on the actual amp itself. You must plug in the external gain control to control it. Not a big problem. I especially love the subsonic filter. I have it set at 25 hz. There is no point in giving 10' subs anything lower. I am still wondering if the bass boost is set for a certain frequency, or just the whole spectrum. Most amps are set at 45 hz. Mounting it to your box is easy. mark holes and drill 1/16 holes and boom. youre done. As far as distortion goes, i havent found any so far. I have my bass boost set at 6db and yet, none. Good job sound ordnance!
This amp is worth all that you pay and more. I'm used to having amps of more known brand names but bought this for my sons ford ranger for his first system. It's being used to push one JL Audio 10w6 in a small sealed enclosure. Though it won't be breaking windshields or shake the ground, it gets plenty loud and sounds very good. Considering I only paid a hundred bucks I think it was worth it instead of buying a used amp of higher quality ad still probably pay 2-3 times more.
Pros: Low cost Sounds good
Cons: The way the wires mount are awkward because its angled but once it's on it's all good. The mounting points. You need to have a long Philips bit if using a drill. The end caps look and feel cheap. They're made of plastic and covered with fake chrome. But all the cons are mostly cosmetic and don't hurt performance. I still would recommend this amp.
This amp has some great features...great price for the wattage you get and among what others say I enjoyed the slanted inputs for the speakers and the battery/ground/remote, to make it easier I just took the side plate off to access the screws easier..not that hard. Great value! Powers my 10" JL woofer just fine and no real issues I can tell so far.
Pros: Excellent Value for the Power
Cons: None so far.
My first amp was a mono D-class amp from MTX, amazing. It also cost me $500 for an amp that only put out 1500watts max. Just bought two of these M1350, I'm totally sold on sound ordnance. I now own their m4050 amp, for the four kicker 6.5" speakers in my firebird, and the two m1350 for my two 12" kicker compVRs. I was running the m1500 on two kicker comps, loud, but not loud enough. The old combo I had, before it was stolen, was the mtx 1500D, and a 12" L7 solo baric. The two compVR's put that solo baric to shame, and for a much cheaper price. I was worried about amps for so cheap, but don't. High powered, long lasting, everything I'd expect from a high end amp costing $400+ for much less.
Pros: Great power for an amazing price, absolutly love it!!!
Cons: The screws to install the wiring (power, ground, speaker) are at a weird angle, but once in work fine. Also the knobs to adjust the bass and other setting require a pretty small flat head screw driver, can't use regular size philips or flat head. I have all sorts of sizes, but you may need to buy one if you don't have as much tools as I do.
This amp is great for running subs. I have installed it in my wifes suburban, along with a line converter, and one 10in kicker 4ohm dual voice coil sub. It is ran in a parallel circuit so it drops the load down to 2omhs. The amp really puts out great power and sound quality. I'm sure this amp would have no problem pushing (2) 12in subs, as long as you ran them in a parallel circuit and took advantage of the 2ohm capacity of this amp. I do agree that the wire connections being on a 45 degree angle makes it a little bit more tedeous, but its not that big a deal, and overall I'm extremely happy with this amp. It comes with the remote volume control too, and thats a big plus also.
Pros: lots of power, and great sound quality.
Cons: wire connections are a bit odd to get to, but no step for a stepper!
I bought this used with a B-12 sub and i wasn't expecting the sheer power i got and the clarity. This is my first amp and i easily wired it myself, I drive an 02 Escape and the is zero i repeat ZERO rattle of the sub or my car but it hits so hard i can feel my heart vibrate. Every-time it hits i smile, so i drive down the road looking like the smiling idiot with his music WAY too loud. If you want something to power your sub this will certainly do, it its the best money ever spent.
Pros: Ease of installation Power of bass output EVERYTHING
i love this amp. at first i was unsure of sound ordinance but after using this amp for almost a year i haven't had a single problem. paired with 2 JL W1V2 8in subs this thing powers them perfectly. people think i have 2 12in subs. Fits right under the passenger seat of a 2004 nissan frontier
Pros: -Not expensive -comes with remote to control volume -pairs the speakers by itself to get the lowest ohm rating -looks cool
Cons: -wont accept 4 or 0 gauge wire
This amp seem to be a good fit for the the Sound Ordinance 12" sub and box purchased together, i had a problem with the newly purchased JVC radio sub rca out puts not getting signal back to the amp. Once i got the radio issues resolved the amps remote bass control did not function and i had to return the amp for an exchange. Crutchfields tech center was very helpful and we returned the amp for a replacement. Once the amp was hooked up and everything was working it was good, didn't hit as hard as i would like but again the price was reasonable and the over all sound is good, its not a competition amp.
Pros: easy install, good price.
Cons: Its not a competition amp.
just received this in the mail, hooked it up and found out that the amp was bad. They are sending a new one out immediately and we will see how that goes. O.ther than that it seems like a nice amp although the design of it is quite horrendous
Amp does everything it said it would do. Great amp for the price. But having a lower price comes at a price. The design for this thing is god awful. With the RCA inputs and Speaker inputs being on opposite sides, my mounting options became severely limited. Also, the screw in terminals being covered by the overhanging chrome looking piece.......what? Who thought that would be a good idea? Even though the design is awful, it definitely gets the job done, and it does it well. I love the remote with the amp, it comes in handy.
Pros: Awesome sound, Great Value, Remote is handy
Cons: Design is awful
Nice power for the price point and plenty of features. I have it powering a single 12in audiobahn 400watt sub and it hits nice and low! My Only gripe is the design of the screw terminal and mounting brackets. The screw terminals are angled and the mounting bracket gets in the way of the my tools! Also the frequency knobs are only numbered for min and max values I would love to know exactly where the other values are but that's minor! I will purchase more S/O gear for my wife's car good product and excellent price
Pros: Price performance and doesn't get to warm even in warm weather
Cons: Screw terminal, frequency knobs and mounting bracket design
I was able to catch this amp on sale about two weeks ago, and I've been loveing it ever since! I have it powering a single Polk audio 10" sub that sits in a custom box, and it sounds great! The amp delivers just the right amount of power to make the sub hit nice and hard. I truly believe that this amp will give you and great bang for you buck that you won't be disappointed with!
Pros: Remote bass control small size great price Easy to install Helpful instructions (if you were to need them)
Cons: I have not been able to find any cons up until this point.
The amp's sound is great. The only reason I'm giving it a poor review is because the design is very frustrating to work with, compared to other amps. The first thing I noticed before buying this was that the RCA inputs and wired volume control input are on the opposite side of the amp's power inputs and the speaker outputs. While that restricts the variety of installation locations, I was willing to cope with it because the amp was cheap and reviews said it was a great value. I discovered the hard way that the power terminals accept no greater than 8 GAUGE wires. I had purchased and installed a 4 gauge kit before the amp arrived, and had a rough time cutting the wires down to size. Once the wires were trimmed down to size and inserted into the terminals, I realized that the terminals were angled downwards significantly. This pushed my thicker cables into the surface it was mounted on, and wires didn't look like they made strong, safe connections with the amp. I ended up buying a 4 gauge to 8 gauge power block and some 8 gauge red and black wires, which made the angled terminals less of a problem before I discovered another annoyance. The chrome endpiece extending over the edge of the amp seems to prevent screwdrivers from making solid contact with the screw heads. The screw stripped after being retightened only a few times from being loose. You won't find a better value for the money, but it looks like you get what you pay for in terms of design.
Pros: No complaints, great sound!
Cons: Only up to 8 gauge power wires. RCA inputs and wired volume control input on opposite side from power inputs and speaker outputs. Angled, screw-based power terminals are difficult to work with, and chrome endpieces get in way. This amp would be perfect if it's designers would put all the inputs/outputs on one end and sound controls on the other, combined with 4 gauge spring terminals and no wasted space (chrome endpieces).
Was surprised at how well this amp performs, I will definitely buy SO again and will recommend it to friends.
Pros: -Doesn't heat up much -Remote Bass Boost controller
Cons: -Mounting brackets are a little strange
I would consider myself an audiophile for 20 years now and rarely purchase home or mobile stereo equipment from brands I'm not already familiar with or have come highly recommended by friends. Needed a new amp/sub combo for a new vehicle, went with this amp and couldn't be happier. It's driving a single 10" Fosgate P1 quite well. I would purchase another S/O amp with confidence.
Pros: Value, Value, Value! This amp is so reasonably priced it's sick for the controls/specs. Set screw style of wiring hookup is so much easier than having to attach gold plated ring terminals to the ends of power, ground, etc.
Cons: Very minor, but the chrome painted, plastic housing around the actual amp body is what you mount/screw this baby down with. Just pay attention when you screw it down to not overtighten or APE it and you'll be fine. I could see how one could crack this plastic mounting bracket pretty easily. All of my other amps have been screwed down to the actual metal housing.
Great value for the price. Puts out more than enough power, and doesn't heat up. Remote level control makes it easy to adjust power according to personal wants. Couldn't be happier. Will definitely be buying more S/O products.
Pros: Good power; not too expensive. Really like the remote level control. Really heavy duty connections.
Cons: None so far.
Great mono sub amp for the price, driving a single 12" sub in sealed box. Replaced a Clarion amp that was having problems... this amp rocks twice as hard as the previous amp ever did. The dash mountable gain control is great as you can adjust the bass level on the fly without screwing with the head unit or amp controls. Would highly reccomend for anyone looking for a sub amp in the 200w rms range.
Pros: Price. Great sound. Remote gain control.
Cons: Instruction manual could be improved.
only have had it for about a month now, but like it so far. especially like the remote level control, as it is wired to work with rear speaker volume. With the previous amp, the rear speakers would overpower the subwoofer. Now I can balance the bias of the rear speakers and subwoofer to a more pleasing sound. I had to remove the chrome plastic mount at the power/speaker hookup to get to screws and leave it off. Not a problem for me, since I have the amp mounted with Velcro to trunk carpet. Could be a problem if you want to screw it down.
Pros: Good power for money. Remote level control real nice. plus if you need more cord, a regular telephone cord should work.
Cons: Speaker/power connections obscured by plastic mount.
I've been researching for nearly two weeks trying to figure out what amp would be the best suitable to power two 12" Kicker comps and I decided to go with this one based on its satisfactory reviews. Bottom line is that this amp has more than fulfilled my expectations. I wasn't sure if it would stand up to some of the popular brands but it is definitely just as good if not better. Its very easy to make adjustments, mounting the amp was simple, and it looks better in person that on the website image. I would deffinitely recommend this product to others and I will for sure be purchasing more Sound Ordnance products in the future. Pros: -Aesthetically pleasing -Does not get too warm -Plenty of adjustments -Remote bass controller -3 year warranty (most amps are only 1) Cons: -The wiring terminals are a little strange compared to other amps that I've dealt with but this is just a personal preference I assume.
i got this amp to drive my audiobahn 12" dvc sub running at 2 ohms in a ported box. eventhough it says it can only handle up to 8 guage wire i managed to get my 4 guage wire to fit. it hits hard and i would recommend this amp!
I got this amp off this website with free shipping and it came in two days which was awesome. I hooked this up in a series wiring style to my 2 Kick Comp 12's in a vented box and it sounds amazing. It hasn't over heated and it more than enough power for my 2 subwoofers. This also come with a remote bass control that I keep in my center console that makes it easy to turn the sub higher and lower. Over all this is an awesome amp and will always buy this brand.
This amp is awesome. It has features and performance you will find in most reference type amps. Has superior power to drive loads down to 2 ohms effortlessly. Powers dual 12" Polk Audio subs under the rear seat of my 08 Dodge Ram. I truly push the amp hard and get strong base even under hard loads. Amp has full adjustability for low pass and frequency cutoff points. Don't waste your money on the more expensive amps to drive your subs. You will be amazed how well this amp is built for the money. You wont regret it..
It is a decent amp. It is not a crisp as some amps that I have had in the past, but the amps that I have had in the past cost a lot more. I am happy with this amp for what I paid for it.
I bought this amp needing a budget system for my 08 Duramax crew cab. It works great with the Rockford Fosgate R2D4 12" sub. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the mount points for the amp are somewhat odd. They are part of the plastic end caps instead of part of the actual frame so I was hesitant to really torque it to the box but it turned out fine for what I need.
Not only is my wallet happy, my ears are happy as well. I'm using this amp to power a single 12" Alpine and oh my gosh does it do a fantastic job. Ive been using it for about a month everyday at full power with no problems. The remote it came with was handy as well, I mounted it right below my stereo. Basically couldn't be happier and I will look into more Sound Ordnance gear in the future. If their other products are as good as this I will continue to be a very satisfied customer. I guess the only people who don't feel the same way as me are my neighbors.
this is my first system ever, i drive a 95 lexus es300, i was really skepticle about this brand cause ive never heard of it before, i bought a kenwood kdc- 348u headunit, soundordnance m-1350 mono block amp and the b-17 sub and i am extremely happy, took me a few hours to install everything myself and i had great help from the crutchfield tech support. this system hits HARD, my rearview mirrors and both side mirrors shake like crazy when i tturn the bass up. i havent even had it up more than half way and it hits crazy hard. for a system just over 300$ you cant go wrong and all 3 items have warrenty. i love my system and will definetly order from crutchfield again in the future.
better than expected and built for easy installation. perfect match for sound ordinance speaker! very happy with my setup. sales and tech support nailed it and the price was right thanks crutchfield.
Sounds great but overheats rather quickly in warmer weather.
Using it to power a Bazooka MGW1024PT in my Jeep wrangler. Sound quality is excellent!
Amp is very cheap--can barely hear any bass. it sounds like a 150 RMS watt amp...my stock speakers overpowered the sound of my 12 inch sub in a small civic...look at name brands...i like crutchfield a lot but they didnt pull through this time...everything was hooked up perfectly
Absolutely incredible for the price. At first I wasnt sure about the Sound Ordnance brand. Having several systems previously and competing for a couple years, I was a little hesitant. But trust me, for a 350 watt at 2 ohm amp, this thing does wonders. Im currently pushing 2 Jl Audio 12w1v2 in my 04 Lancer ralliart and was truly surprised of its performance.
I bought this amp to power my older kicker sub that i friend from school gave me. I bought a cheap wally world wiring kit and turned everything on and my Jeep Cherokee shook like crazy. This brand is incredible i have the 5.25 speakers in my doors and the sub is sitting in the 12 inch ported bass bunker and i mean my skull shakes when i crank my stereo up it gets intense. This amp is a must have for any type of sub, it provides ample amounts of sound power. A Must Have !!
What can I say that hasn't been said about this amp/brand? I had read about it, wondered if it was any good, being a "non brand name" amp. I read the good reviews, people exclaiming it was a steal at the price, etc. I also know that Crutchfield isn't a shady fly by night company that would sell junk. I've been buying gear from them since 1998. So I decided to give one a whirl. I'm glad I did, because this thing pushes the single 12" DVC MB Quart sub I had laying around with some serious grunt. Bass is clean, tight, and low. I couldn't believe it! It almost sounds as loud as the "brand name" amp in my other car, that has almost twice the power! Sound Ordnance just dropped onto my radar bigtime. They're such a great value, I'm debating on buying two of the higher powered ones to push the dual 12" Kickers I have in my other car, rather than buying just one huge amp. They're that good. The included amplifier wiring kit was awesome as well. Was nice to have everything come at once and get it installed all at once. My buddy was so impressed he is planning on ordering the M-1500 amp for his car. All in all, a solid value. Check them out.
I looked at a several Sub. Amps. and narrowed it down to Alpine ,Fosgate and Sound Ordnance I decided on the Sound Ordnance M1350 to push my J&L 12" Sub.When I first hooked it up I was disappointed with the sound it did not hit hard ,But after adjusting the sub.volume on the Head unit and readjusting the amp.gain to 1/2 I got the thump that I wanted.Great Amp.,Great Price,3 Year Warranty and CRUTCHFIELD Adds a free Wiring Kit.I would recommend this Amp. to anyone looking for a good Amp. for a great price. It is a deal that can't be beat. Thank You Crutchfield
Good amp, does the job for my single 12" sub. looks very cool, better than the pictures. and the included bass control knob is a plus.
All I can say is it's a great amp for a giveaway price. I would refer it to anyone who wants to power a sub. I added it with there 12inch sub and it hits harder than my old system witch was 2 12s and an alpine amp!
Very Great system! I also bought the Sound Ordnance B-17 Sub-woofer and the sound is amazing for the price. The EFX Amplifier Wiring Kit that came with it for FREE was very helpful!! I got the equipment and when I came home from work I had installed it in my car within 2 hours! The price is very good for the power it gives out! It also looks very nice, and i get a lot of comments from my friends!!
I purchased this unit to fit inside the "amp shelf" of a custom enclosure to fit a 2001 Silverado 2500HD extended cab. It's a mono but wired in parallel to drive 2 Polk Audio DB1040 Woofers. This set-up is ideal for the small space of a truck cab. This amp powers the 10's with rich deep bass without that "muddy" sound you normally find with overpowered systems. Support was great and unit fit like a glove. Easy to understand instructions. Cables and wires mount from opposing side to keep power and sound circuits separate. - Will update in 6 mos.
I debated which AMP to purchase for almost a month. My son had acquired 2 12' Rockford P1 subs from a friend. I did research on the Subs and found the RMS ratings and the air volume recommendations and set out to find something. I have been a Crutchfield buyer for years even though I have found some better pricing at times - I know they stand behind the products. So felt comfortable with a product not familiar to me. Looked at the MTX Jack Hammer and this Amp mostly. I know this is not the best reason to choose a AMP, but I went with the S/O amp due to I was going with the S/O dual 12' Bass Bunker and wanted the looks of the 2 products with logos to be the same so that when he shows it off - the look is seamless. And I was not wrong in my decision. The Amp performs very well and the look is incredible with the Logo's on the front of the box matching the AMP and the great look of the amp and mounting - he is very happy and so am I. I plan on putting in a 2 or 4 channel unit for the highs later and will not hesitate to go
This Amp is a powerhouse the good: Pushes solid stable power Nice Price Not Huge dimensions has bass boost and built in low pass Has Subsonic filter (though i dont use it) seems solidly constructed has remote gain controll with cable looks nice The bad: the lowpass dial is not labled with frequencys very well it says min 40HZ - Max 300HZ it would be nice to know exactly where 100HZ,120HZ, and150HZ are suggestion: use about a 400W - 2 OHM speaker load I was very impressed by the price and performance
I purchased this M-1350 amp to replace my blaupunkt amp that went bad after just over a year. I was a little suspicious, as this product was new and had no reviews when I purchased, but it has impressed me. I have it connected to a 10" alpine sub in a sealed box and it powers it nearly twice as well as my old amp of similiar power rating. It's been 4 months and I have had no issues. The remote bass control is a big plus; I ran it up front and mounted the knob next to my shifter. It's handy to make adjustments for various genres of music.
I wasn't sure how this amp would perform because there was only 1 review and the product was new. However, I looked at the stats and thought it would be a good match to my Infinity 1262W sub. I have to say that it works perfectly wired at 2 ohms. I also like the remote bass control. It makes it very convenient to change the bass without adjusting the high end volume. After this purchase, I would have no hesitation in purchasing Sound Ordnance products in the future. The support from Crutchfield was, as always, great. I love this place, and now I love their product
Once again, The Crutchfield group has won my desire to purchase products. I was very pleased with my purchase of the SOUND ORDNANCE M-1350 mono amp. it's a beast in it's sound quality. I want to thank my advisor, Chad, with good reports of this amp. I would reccommend this amp to anyone who's looking for good deep bass. It was easy to install, nice enclosure. Not much room in my 2002 Dodge Dakota club cab, still all good. Get it, get it!!!
I was a bit skeptical when I first considered this purchase, but my advisor, Al, soon calmed any fears I had. I'm really impressed with the response my BA G21044 gives with the output from this amp. I would recommend this product to anyone on a budget or not trying to impress with a 'brand name'. For twice the price, these amps are quality! Thanks Al!!!

The crossovers have a 12dB per octave slope, and cannot be turned off.
Bass Boost: The amplifier has a rotary bass boost control, which is continuously variable from 0dB to +12dB at 45 Hz.
LED Indicators: The M-1350 features two LED indicators: a green LED that illuminates when the amp is powered on, and a red LED that illuminates when the amplifier is in protect mode due to overheating or a short circuit in the speaker wire.
Remote Bass Control: The amplifier comes with a remote bass control module to allow you to adjust the volume of the amp from the front of the vehicle. The module has a rotary volume control knob, and an LED to indicate when the amplifier is turned on. The module is designed to mount under the dash, and comes with 16-1/2 feet of cable.

Yes you can hook up multiple subs to the mono amp. Look up a wiring diagram so you can wire the subs for the ohms you want - this gets a little complicated when you have dual voice coil subs. I believe Crutchfield has some diagrams. - by the way this amp is a great value and packs a lot of power - enjoy! [ MITCHELL Nov 06, 2015 ]
It can power 2 just follow directions on running 2. [ mike Nov 06, 2015 ]
Yes you should have one channel per sub woofer. So a 2 channel sub is necessary for 2 subs. Or 2 mono amps, 1 per subwoofer. If you choose a 2 channel amp make sure each channel has the proper (watts) for the sub woofers. [ JOHN Nov 06, 2015 ]
The answer is yes, you should have a two channel amp for two sub woofers. A mono amp will only have one channel for outputs. This means there is only one pair, positive and negative, of output ports to go to a speaker or sub. A two channel amp will have 2 sets of plugs each providing power to the sub that is hooked up to that port. [ JOHN Nov 06, 2015 ]
4 Ohms but if the sub were 2 ohms the amp would produce 2 ohms [ johnny Aug 31, 2015 ]

Yes, this should be plenty of power to move an 8" subwoofer in a sealed enclosure. [ ADAM D Jul 02, 2014 ]
