Win the battle for boom with subwoofers from Sound Ordnance. Throw one or two of these bad boys in your vehicle to give you bass you can feel. You'll love the difference these subs make, and adding them to your system won't destroy your budget.
The M2-12DVC 12" subwoofer comes with a tough glass fiber cone that will keep its shape when the music's turned up, so your bass stays accurate. The butyl rubber surround helps keep the woofer's movement on track, and it'll stay pliable for years to come. The stamped steel basket provides a stable home for the whole assembly, so your bass plays the way it should.
The dual 4-ohm voice coils allow you to wire the sub for 2- or 8-ohm impedance, giving you the flexibility you need when you add more Sound Ordnance subs in the future. Also, Sound Ordnance backs up this sub with a 3-year warranty so you can have peace of mind while you're rocking hard.
To drive this single subwoofer, we recommend a mono amplifier rated between 200 and 375 watts RMS at 2 ohms. For more information, please refer to our article on How to Match Subwoofers and Amplifiers.

Great sound for the price
Pros: Sound and price
Love the product!!!!!! Sounds nothing short of amazing!!!!
Pros: Everything you can think of
I think it's a very good sub. I wanted to wire a 2 ohm load from my 5 channel Amp for the sub and this was $200 cheaper than a W3 so I bought it. I think the W3 would have been better but you can't beat the value here I think.
I put this sub in a S.O. BB12-125S enclosure, and powered it with a Jensen DUBa1450 mono-amp. Had this setup in my 99 Cherokee and couldn't have asked for more bass! This sub hits hard enough to make you want to roll both windows down. If you are looking for a value subwoofer that performs like a beast this is a winner. I would buy this sub again just to hear it a second time!
Pros: Rubber surround holds up well, steel basket is rock solid.
Cons: None, this is a top-notch subwoofer at a great value.
This sub is amazing...the sound is tight and not boomy. It is accurate. I have to admit I try to find fault with this sub and I test it every rider it's all kinds of music just to find fault...honestly and I just can't.
Pros: Tight accurate bass
So i bought this sub because of the incredible sale price for one, but also because i needed a dvc sub to replace a kicker comp s svc sub that was just not cutting it for me in depth and clarity. I can't believe how much better this sub! It pounds out deep clear base and recovers well when you listen to a lot of rock like i do with double bass drum lines. Bottom line Im going to keep using these subs and upgrade to a better mono amp around 400 watts rms and see what this puppy can do. Sealed box for life by the way. Only way to judge clear base.
Pros: Big bang on a budget, sturdy connectors, fiberglass cone does no distort much at all
Cons: For me none for others maybe lack of bling?!
These speakers are nice
I would compare these subs to any other well known name brand with the same specs. I bought two of these and used a classic amp, the JL 500/1. The bass is undesired, solid, and balanced. I have used beefier subs in the past, but these absolutely produce what they say they will. They are a steal on sale, but still worth the regular price if not on sale.
Pros: Great Value. Little to no distortion. Fantastic lows when full 250 watts RMS is used.
The sub is a great value for what you are getting. Sounds great. I have ran mtx, soundqubed, sundown audio, fi audio, memphis, eclipse, and many other subs. This sub really suprised me with how well it sounded.
Pros: Great sub for the money. Gets loud on low power and does handle over rated power.
Cons: Here is where the tiptoes comes in. I hooked this up in my car knowing I was going to blow it. Ran it at 2 ohm s at around 1300 watts rms. And. . Well it lasted about 30 seconds when I did that. Sub works great on 200 to 400 watts. For fun I thought I would see what it would take. I would buy these again for a budget build in a heartbeat. Just don't do like I did and run 5x rated power until the coil separated from the former. Again the sub is built well enough for the price point.
I really like these subs I will continue to buy they are very well built and sound very good
Pros: Built well sound good and easy to hook up
Installed two of these in my jeep grand Cherokee on a two channel 600 watt amp, each is getting 300 watts and these speakers are loud! Very happy with the quality of them and the sound they produce, crutchfield was very helpful along the way thanks guys!!!
price is awesome, but sound was even better
I upgraded to these sound ordnance subs and the sound is cleaner, crispier, and now my truck has serious bass kicking everything inside. some of the best subs I have owned, i would recommend.
Pros: dual coil for multiple wiring, powerful wattage
Great sound for the money
Pros: Great bass
Cons: Not cool enough for the rich guys
Great sub for the price hits hard in the s/o box
It's no theory, this sub is capable of loud, distortion free bass. I chose this sub because I was looking for a sub with dual 4ohm voice coils for wiring flexibility. There were more notable brands in the same price range with dual 4ohm voice coils but none had glass fiber cone other than the Sound Ordnance. I knew a glass fiber cone should provide the clean punch I was looking for so I took a gamble on the brand and I am glad I did. The build quality is solid and the sub sound great. There is a lot of value in this speaker.
Pros: Great Value, Distortion Free Bass
Sounds great good thump
A really impressive sound for the price specially when match with Sound Ordnance enclosure...

good reveiws [ JUSTIN E Sep 19, 2017 ]
I was about to buy a JL W3 or W1 2-ohm, but for less than the cost of either speaker, I bought this 12", a SO box, some wiring hardware, box hold down brackets and a newer nicer wire stripper for another part of the install. I'll put up a review once I get it and try it, as this is my first SO product. [ Stephen Oct 11, 2016 ]
Solid gear [ Brian Dec 31, 2015 ]
It's not recommended for use in a bandpass style enclosure but will fit the mount if you remove the original woofer. [ Ryan Nov 03, 2017 ] Staff
We do not offer any pre-fabricated ports with the proper dimensions. You can custom fabricate your own though. JL Audio offers a helpful article on this topic: https://jlaudio.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/221068047-Enclosure-Ports I hope that helps. I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: With a dual 4-ohm voice coil you cannot wire it to a 4-ohm load. You are only able to wire it to a 2 or 8-ohm load. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Mar 02, 2015 ] Staff
Yes. I have two in a ported box. Depending on the amp and setting the bass will sound a little bit different but these have the ability to crank out the low tones. They have good bass punch when theyre warm. Especially if you listen to rap. One of my friends has two MTX road thunder subs in his whip and the sound from these subs is on par with the MTX. [ MIKE Mar 01, 2015 ]
Yes they are great. Sounds good when I play them low volume and high volume if had the 808 great sound and hood price you can't beat that price. [ DONALD Feb 26, 2015 ]
For my first sub I really do enjoy it. It give me just what I need. I feel it hits the best around 34 hz. For lower than that I might not be as satisfying. But it still is a all around good sub [ GRAYSON Feb 26, 2015 ]
They deliver high quality low end bass It's the best sub I ever bought for the price I paid [ FRANCISCO Feb 26, 2015 ]
Yes they ha a nice low end base. I replaced two and love it, price is even better [ ERNESTO Feb 26, 2015 ]
I've had this about 2 weeks and have it mounted in the SO ported single driver enclosure (note: NOT bandpass). The fAS is 28Hz while the box is tuned to 34Hz. Using a tone generator I get solid output down to 28Hz. My son, who has the dual 12" SO bandpass box, is a bit envious of the bottom end I'm getting with the single driver. I'm using the M 2250 bridged and yes, it has good, solid low end bass. Punchy, good kick and when it's cranked a nice magic fingers on your spine. I listen to EDM, classical pipe organ, rock and various electronic artists e.g., The Chemical Method...the bottom end rocks it in all of those genres (even the lowest notes on the organ pedal which is under 30 Hz). [ RICHARD Feb 26, 2015 ]
Yes I am very pleased with the sound of these subs...well built for the price.Highly recommend [ Kevin Feb 26, 2015 ]
