I purchased these because of the value and was surprised when I hooked them up. bass isn't the best but that's what I have subs for

Pros: great mid and high range, easy install, decent sound

Cons: has a little crackle if you put a lot of bass to them

Good sound for price

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

these are a great pair of speakers for the price. As described by manufacturer, they were extremely easy to install and fit perfectly as expected. do you have eyes and mids are pretty clear, the bass leaves a little to be desired. However, reading other reviews prior to purchasing, I expected this. All in all, everything was as described and I am satisfied

Pros: Price. Ease of installation. Mids and highs sound good

Cons: Bass a bit weak

Excellent Speakers

Speedy from Chicago, IL on 8/29/2014

2001 Nissan Sentra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great speakers overall so far. I have these speakers installed in a 2001 Sentra SE. I got these speakers in the 6 3/4" format and for the power they are being supplied, they are excellent. They are powered by an aftermarket JVC headunit; no amp in between. The sound quality they produce is as good as it can be in that specific configuration and they actually get surprisingly loud and clear in those conditions without much distortion. The distortion I speak of is simply due to them being under powered. Again, with only the head unit powering them, they thump like no other. I installed 6 1/2" pioneers up front and the rear SOs tend to overtake the fronts instead of complementing them. Good speakers I say. With an amp, would sound even better~ I was unsure at first if I should get speakers by this company but I'm pleasantly surprised by the build quality and sound quality of these speakers. Research showed that they are good as well - nothing to be doubted. They fit into the car without a hitch. I would recommend them if you are on a tight budget and want some good sound.

Pros: -Great price -Good build quality -Sound good with low power -Easy install -Look great

Cons: -The installation holes did not entirely match up with the OE ones, but with some force and simply screwing them down, things bent into place...they are in there and not moving as far as I'm concerned.

2002 Kia Spectra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Good value. These are not high-end speakers, but were used as a replacements for a 20+ year old factory speaker. Decent sound.

Pros: Value. True 2-way speaker, non-paper driver (often important in a car environment, particularly in a car door).

Cons: Speaker frames are a bit on the thin side. Despite flexible mounting holes (many options), none of the mounting holes matched up with existing OEM holes.

I am very pleased with these speakers. Chose them on the advice of an advisor after explaining my situation. The sound quality is very good if a little light on bass. installation was a breeze with the harnesses that were included. The definition of plug-and-play. As usual, Cruthchfield came through and saved the day. Will definitely continue to use them for future upgrades!

Pros: good sound quality, bang-for-the-buck

Cons: little light on the bass

Great sounding speakers for the price

2008 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 from Mississippi on 3/3/2014

2008 Chevrolet Silverado
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Great speakers for the price. Replaced all 4 speakers in my 2008 Crew Cab Silverado because 3 of the speakers were bad. These speakers are without a doubt MUCH better than the factory speakers. The clarity compared to factory is incredible. I am still using the factory head unit with these speakers. I recommend these speakers to anyone looking to replace the garbage speakers in their Chevrolet. I will say the Scoche mount adapters are great, but I would rate the fitment an 8/10, because they will fit fine but would need very slight trimming with a dremel tool to fit 100% flush in the adapter mount. All in all, very satisfied and the 3 year warranty I purchased tops it off.

Pros: Quality of speaker, quality of sound. Price, and warranty

Cons: dont fit 100% in the adapter mount, but work just fine, need to use a dremel tool on adapter mount for a PERFECT fit, but otherwise will work without problems

Cons: None for my application.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

speakers fit right into the factory mount. the old speakers were totally shot, now the radio sounds like it did when it was new.

Pros: speakers sound great. installation was pretty easy. (I hate those little plastic buttons that hold the inside door card in place. some always break when your car is 14 years old.)

Cons: Not quite as much BOOM as I hoped, but what do you expect with a 14 year old head unit, and speakers at this price! Next time I have $100, I'll buy a new head unit that was built this century.

2006 Pontiac G6
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Had them installed for 2 days and with medium volume heave bass the left side blew to the point it was rattling with low volume and bass. Might have been because my head unit didn't give enough power (they need 50watts rms) which caused distortion.

Pros: Good clear highs and mids

Cons: Blew very quick and not good for low pitches

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This speaker was to replace a JBL front door speaker on a 2011 Toyota Sienna van. Good high end sound but the bass and volume was lacking. This is a 4 ohm unit compared to the original JBL which is a 2.2 ohm unit....much bigger magnet = bigger sound from the JBL.

Pros: Seems well built, well packed and had all the correct parts

Cons: It did not fit as described by Crutchfield that it would with "little modification". Was not the right Ohm to replace the original equiptment. But its not the speakers was a mismatch by Crutchfield.

Pros: More highs better range and warranty good if your just looking to replace oem speaker

Cons: Base? What base? Baffled needed .

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Bought this to replace factory front door speakers in our 1998 Toyota Camry. In the end, I think I should not have bothered. They require more power to drive and the sound is not better. It gave me some respect for the stock Toyota poly coned speakers that came out! I would probably have returned them if it wasn't such a pain to swap everything back.

Pros: Nothing much. Only an average speaker at an average price.

Cons: Require more amp power to drive than Toyota stock speakers.

Very nice little speakers - they appear well-made, with quality materials. Certainly an upgrade from the OEM speakers in my 99 Saturn SL2. 6 and 3/4" drop right in with no trouble. Quick shipping, beautiful packaging, and technical support for installation without a phone tree. Very nice customer service reps on the phone, with my shipping snafu. Good experience, good product, good price, I'm glad I went this route.

Pros: Quality of materials, sound of speakers is more than sufficient, if you're not trying to tick people off. Very nice sound, to me.

Cons: None yet, none anticipated.

They look like they are made well. Sound is what you would expect for $40 speakers. They are an upgrade to the speakers replaced in my 1995 Camaro. Old speakers were dried out and torn. These hooked right up and fit the screw holes perfect. As an upgrade to old factory speakers, these are a great value. I will be purchasing another set for the rear so I have a complete set.

Pros: Polyprop cone should last a long time and be weather resistant. Fit the factory holes perfectly.

Cons: None, really.

Good enough

2002 Sienna owner from Fort Wayne, In on 8/27/2012

2002 Toyota Sienna
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Replaced two door and two rear speakers in my mini van. They were the stock JBL package speakers and had beefier magnets than the P-67s. I replaced the door speakers first so I could compare the new front speakers with the stock rear JBLs. There was NO comparison and the new P-67s had much better presence and way better bottom end. Installation was easy enough. These are slightly smaller than the stock speakers so you have to drill new holes in the original brackets (at least on a Sienna). The foam mounting pads for these speakers are non-adhesive. I ended up gluing these to the back rim of the speaker before installation. That is my only complaint.

Pros: Great replacement for a stock low-power receiver. Brought new life to a 10-year-old system.

Cons: Non-adhesive foam gaskets. If you want to use them, you might find it easiest to add a step and glue these onto the speakers before installation.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I read the reviews, I researched the product, I bought the speakers. When researching Virtual Gateways, LLC. (The parent company of Sound Ordnance), the sole contact was William G Crutchfield. That was enough for me to buy the speakers. Crutchfield has NEVER let me down in the past. Their attention to detail and superior level of customer service gave me that confidence. Enough of this... The manufacturing of the S.O. speakers appears to be engineered well. Sturdy frames and heavy magnets. The speakers sound better than any other 2-ways I've ever had, powered by the 20WRMS in a head unit. If this is your price range,I very heavily recommend them. I mounted mine in the deeper XTC Speaker Baffles and DID NOT cut holes in the bottom of the baffles save for tiny ones for the wires. The volume of the baffles seemed big enough and I figured I could cut holes later if necessary. It wasn't.

Pros: 3 Year Warranty, Great Value.

Cons: Nothing Yet

BenC from Tulsa on 12/20/2011

2001 Toyota Sienna
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Before I purchased I checked what "alterations" I needed to make. All the website and master sheets said was that "plastic tabs on the speaker bracket will need to be cut off in order for new speaker to fit flush". The master sheet says to mount the new speaker using the hardware from the old speaker. What they did not say is that the speaker is smaller than the original and that new holes would need to be drilled and use longer screws. In the past I have used Crutchfield master sheets and they have been very thorough. This time was the exception.

Pros: great sound for the price

Cons: "fits with alterations"

Pros: The master sheet gave me the confidence that I needed to get started.

Cons: The self-tapping screws did not line up perfectly with the mounting holes of the bracket.

the speakers sound OK--Not THAT much better than stock. My biggest beef is the mounting holes. the holes in the speaker flange were about 2-3 mm too small, and about that much offset from the factory holes. Also, the lip on the edge of the speaker got in the way of the holddown bolts, making it hard to tighten without bending the flange a bit. Wouold I buy this brand again? Not until they fix the flange issue.

Good speakers, but not what I wanted

Pete from Alaska on 8/25/2010

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I had really wanted speakers with a fuller midrange and am not very happy with the tonality of these at all. I'm a guitarist/singer and have a preference for full and punchy mids but they're actually a bit attenuated and not nearly as pleasant sounding as I'd hoped for. To tell the truth, my stock GMC Sarari speakers had better bass response and lack of distortion down low, as well as a better mids. The high end is very nice, thanks to the soft dome tweeter but I would never buy these again and now wish that I had gone with the Alpine 6.5" speakers instead. The included wiring adaptor was a very welcome addition and made the installation go by in a heartbeat, but I wish that the baffles were also included and that the Dynamat kit had been offered to me at the same time, not to mention the bass blockers.

I put them in my daughters '97 Saturn in place of the stock speakers that had deteriorated beyond recognition. They are true 2 way speakers with separate woofers and tweeters and a small electronic part inside the basket where the wires attach that I assume blocks the lows from the tweeter. I'm not an expert but they went in easy and sounded great compared to the stockers. Hope this helps. [ MICHAEL R  May 26, 2014 ]
They were plug and play. X overs built in. [ THOMAS  May 24, 2014 ]
They do not. I blew out two pairs relatively easy. [ JAMES  May 24, 2014 ]
No, they do not come with a crossover. You would have to buy them separately. [ DAVIE J.  May 24, 2014 ]
Crossover is built in...these speakers have the most impressive bass I've ever heard in a speaker this size [ JEFFREY  May 24, 2014 ]
