Speakers fit if out any issues and sound fantastic
Pros: Fit, sound, construction
Cons: no cons
I put these in my ram since the factory ones where done and served their perpose. They are a little weak thought for over all sound. That is in my Cummins.
Pros: Easy install
Cons: Just a little weak in sound
Great improvement over factory but it just made me want to give them more power. Saving up for the amp and sub now.
Pros: Noticable db increase. Easy install Harnesses worked like a champ
Cons: Could use better, more specific instructions. But it really isn't that hard.
Pros: Sound great!!
The 6x9 Sound Ordnance speakers presented amazing bass for rear deck speakers. The shipping was fast and installing was easy when using a adapter due to toyotas strange speaker mount locations.
Pros: Amazing Lows and His
Cons: none as of now
for the most part I'm satisfied with my purchase just a few things I wish was better but I guess you get what you pay for so I'm happy
Pros: good bass and sound (for the most part)
Cons: gots a lot of distortion if turned up a little loud
No complaints about the sound. Removing the grills from the speakers for installation was tricky. I was told I did not need an adapter plate for my 2010 Corolla. Wrong, the P-69 mounting holes are way different. There was barely enough metal in the rear deck for mounting them.
Pros: Great sound for the price.
Cons: Mounting in the stock location was difficult.
While refurbishing the interior of my 1979 Trans Am I decided to replace the original rear factory 6X9 speakers. I didn't want to spend a ton and wanted to use the original speaker grills that came in the car. The Sound Ordnance P-69 speakers were a perfect choice!
Pros: Nice quality for the money and very close to factory fit! Shipping was prompt and speakers came well packaged!
I have these in the rear deck of my 2005 corolla. I wish I could put these in my front doors! The highs are great, and there's enough bass for me to be plenty happy without a sub. As it stands, I have them in the rear deck, powered by a SO 75x4 amp. I can't push them all the way with the amp because they pop when the bass hits if the volume is too high. I have them low passed with a +6db bass boost right now so they're basically acting as subs right now until I get my real sub in. They definitely rattle my whole car, I need to work on deadening the rear deck panel cover. My recommendation: If you want an amazing upgrade from stock and you're not using an amp, or trying to crank your system to the max your ears can handle, buy these. If you're trying to use these instead of a sub, and you want to crank the system, these will fail you. These can get pretty darn loud as long as they're not bass boosted, so if you have a sub, these should be able to get loud enough to match.
Never heard of these but they seem pretty good so far
Very good speaker, installed them in the back deck of my sons 2000 Chevy Cavalier. Fit perfectly, and sound great.
Pros: Very speaker at a great price.
I bought these speakers to replace the factory 6x9's in my Mazda and man what a difference! You really can't beat it for the price! The sound is so much better and I am very happy with them. So happy that I ordered the 5 1/4's to go in the door!
Extremely easy to install in my 2004 Grand AM, Sounds absolutely amazing and Crutchfield set me up with everything I needed to install it.
Pros: Sounds amazing, Looks amazing, overall is amazing!
Cons: Some cars it might be hard to install the face plates if you have never done it before but it is really only cosmetic and these speakers are the bomb.
Just received these speakers they look very nice I will be installing them in my 07 Nissan Titan this weekend. I am very please with my purchase with Crutchfield. it's nice to get 3 day shipping to California and no tax that's cool we pay enough out here as it is.Thank Crutchfield I will be updating my whole system soon whit your help I know it will be done right thanks again.
Pros: Nice style affordable on a budget
Cons: None to speak of now
I can't say much for the sound quality since I have a stock head unit, but they look like a excellent product. Wish I could have used the speaker grills. I didn't want to cut the originals out though.
Pros: Sounds good with stock head unit I personally like the grills
Cons: None to speak of. Unless you count being a pain to install, that was the cars fault though. Worst placement of rear speakers.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from these speakers. My 10 yr old stock speakers were better . I'm waiting on some JL speakers to replace these , when they arrive these Sound Unordnances will be thrown in the trash .
Myy 94 standard cab Chevy PU NEEDED some sort of bass. I put these in a pair of BB692-1 Bass Bunker boxes which now sit perfectly behind my long bench seat. They are powered by a cheap Sony Xplode single din head unit. More than enough bass for my tastes. Great sound and clear with a nice little thump which is what I was looking for. If you looking to get that head slamming base just get a sub or pair of subs. For the price they hit nice without rattling everything lose in the truck.
Pros: Super value for the money. nice rich bass for a 6x9 and adds just that little extra high pitch to compliment it.
Cons: None that I can think of for me.
Can't do five stars. In the grand scheme of things they are good speakers but they are still cheap speakers. My terminal plate came off the mount completely when trying to put the blade connector on. Wasn't happy. The sound however is pretty good. I'd definitely buy them again.
Pros: Good sound Efficient
Cons: Construction quality
Nice sound 2000 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab. Fit as described!
Pros: Good value
Cons: They weren't free or install themselves.
Put these in the front doors of my crew cab Titan, run them off an amp and they sound awesome. Take plenty of power, produce clear, clean sound. I'm not trying to shake the neighborhood just rocking my truck until my ears almost bleed and they work great! What more do you want for the price?
Pros: Great price, great sound!! can't ask for more than that.
Sounded much better than my stock speakers. I did have a problem getting these speakers to fit the mounting bracket that Crutchfield sent.
Pros: Sound good
Cons: Holes in speaker didn't quite match-up with mounting bracket.
These things sound wonderful, I also got the 6.5 inch, 2 way, tweeters, and crossover, makes my wife's Nissan Frontier thump now and no need for an amp.
Pros: Product, price, shipping, sound
Installed these in my sister's 2012 Corolla. Could have used and adapter plate, but they weren't included for the rears. I ended up drilling new holes through the rear deck. Not a big deal, but would have been nice not to have to. Major improvement over the factory speakers. These are noticeable heavier and have a much stronger magnet than the factory ones. I did both the fronts and the rears even though only the rears needed to be done. Glad I did. The sound was a lot quieter out of the rears due to the stronger magnet. After replacing the fronts the sound levels were equal. The factory head unit can handle these, but I'd recommend replacing all 6 speakers.
I was looking for speakers to replace the blown ones my 96 Dodge Stratus ES came with. Ive never heard of SO before, but the reviews were good, so I decided to try them. Almost a year of blasting "bass boosted" songs at high volume, Im surprised i haven't blown them. I am extremely happy with them, and the fact that theyre only half the price of major name speakers of the same quality.
Pros: Great bass, everybody thinks i have a sub in my trunk. They're surprised when I show them the speaker. All music genres play clear, with no distortion to be found.
Easy installation with Crutchfield wiring harness and installation guide supplied. Sound great.
The 18-year-old paper speakers in my Accord finally disintegrated. These P-69's were surprisingly good workmanship and sound for the money.
Pros: Great value, easy to install.
Great price / great replacement
Pros: Perfect fit. Sound great. I would recommend :)
I ordered these speakers for my 2010 Nissan Rogue 360 because my left front speaker was blown. I read all the reviews and once I had installed them, I agreed with most everyone else. They are great speakers for the price. They punch great with just the factory head unit and I'm really happy with how crystal clear the highs were. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their factory system. I had them installed, because it was cheap and I'm lazy, but the directions that came looked pretty simple for self installation and all the parts needed were provided. Go Crutchfield.
Pros: Great price, great sound, fast delivery.
Nice sounding pair of speakers for the price, very easy to install. Pretty good sound quality, huge upgrade from factory speakers
Pros: Good sound, easy to install
Awesome sound for the price
Pros: Excellent quality
Cons: No cons at this price
Replacement for the krappy OEM Toyota OEM rea speakers.
Pros: much better than the ones i replaced..
Cons: would be nice if there was an install kit for this on my Toyota..
Awesome speakers works way better than stock. And they were at a great price
Pros: Loud and great bass
Really great price not so good sound
Pros: Cheap price
Cons: Not high quality sound
While the price is right for these speakers don't expected to be blown away. There were plenty of highs and quiet but punchy lows (driving just by a head unit)... but everything in between was missing. Maybe driven by a larger amp these would do better, but i wasn't impressed in my setup. I returned these and was able to get some polks on sale for now much more. Couldn't be happier with those.
Cons: Sound range/depth
I love these 6x9s... Great all around speaker and the price was awesome
Pros: Everything about this speaker
Sounds 10 times better than my stock cardboard speakers. I'm not an audiophile but I am impressed. Never heard of the brand but based on the amount of reviews and positive reviews I went ahead and purchased them. Great!
Pros: Great overall sound
I have purchased Sound Ordnance products from Crutchfield before and have always been very satisfied. These speakers are no exception! They are very well built, installed easily, and sound wonderful! I installed in a 1996 Honda Accord and the installation process took all of 15 minutes thanks to the accessories provided by Crutchfield. The sound quality is very clear, tight, and accurate with just the right amount of bass without sounding boomy. Overall, another excellent product from Sound Ordnance and Crutchfield!
Pros: Pure, accurate sound Ease of installation build quality
Bought these to go with my Alpine CDE-SXM145BT and KTP-445A Power Pack and love them. Nice Clear sound for a good price. Worked great for music and audio books.
Pros: Great Sound
Good Bang for the Buck. Made my Stock Radio and CD Sound much better. Just added a Kenwood Excelon KDC-498 and Wow. Plenty Good sound out of a 4 way Hipower CD/ receiver. I would Expect even better performance if you amp them.
Thank you very much. The speaker fixed exactly.
Great speaker especially for the price. I got mine on sale. What a deal!
Pros: Just really great sounding and tight bass
These speakers sound way better than I figured they would. Never heard of Sound Ordnance, but they have suprized me. There are way better speakers out there, but not for the price.
Pros: Great price, good sound
Cons: Non so far.......
I would recommend this product to any one that want a upgrade from factory speakers . The sound really good !!!!
Pros: Very good for the money .
Cons: The grill come on the speaker it should be separate. It gets difficult to take the speaker out .
These speakers are awesome. I had alpine type R 6 by 9's in my doors before, they sorta seized up. I think that these speakers sound better than my old ones- it's a difficult comparison tho 'cause my older ones haven't worked for a few months. The bass response is excellent as are the tweeters. I would definitely recommend these to anyone.
Pros: Excellent sound.
Got these to replace the factory speakers on my rear doors of a '14 Jeep Patriot. Fit perfectly. Not sure the sound is better than the factory speakers or not but the factory speakers would certainly not last as long as these. I did receive one of the speakers with a torn surround. Oddly enough, it still sounds good. Because of the price, I just went ahead and "fixed" with some electrical tape.
Pros: Excellent price since I got these off of the outlet.
Cons: Open box goods that had one speaker with a torn surround on one of the speakers. If looking for richer sound, you may want to look at other options.
Great sound for the money, bass is great for such a small speaker.
Pros: Sound is great.
Cons: installation took a little reengineering.
Pros: Great for price
They fit perfectly into my 2003 civic lx coupe and the sound quality is surprisingly good for the price. Took awhile to put in the rear deck but that's just because you have to take a lot of trim off because it's a coupe.
Pros: price, quality, fit
Used as rear replacements in Honda Accord these speakers really surprised me on the quality of sound I have been missing! Easy to install I had the speakers mounted in 20 minutes. Love the deep rich tone that is produced in conjunction with the pleasant highs, these speakers are a great value for the money.
Pros: Easy to install. Great customer service. Low price guarantee for 60 days past purchase.
Great sound for the price.
Pros: On my 2003 Accord openings, these 6x9 fit perfectly. Original screw holes just need a little wiggle to make them work. I'm impressed with the bass from these inexpensive speakers. There're better 6x9 out there, but not for this price.
Cons: None yet. Installed 03/07/2014. Only time will tell.
I would call these better than average, but not the best around. Had a buzz on one speaker on installation. Still need to confirm where the problem is (wiring, speaker, stereo, etc.) and get resolved. But the problem is intermittent which does not help matters. I have talked to support at Crutchfield and they are totally behind me and willing to help all they can. Great company ... that is why I keep coming back!
Pros: Inexpensive Better than stock
Cons: Now I have to replace my front speakers because these are so much better
The speakers sound great, this is a new car for me a 2007 Honda Accord, the sound was so flat. I just sold my 98 Acura Integra that I had Alpine 300 Amp at 45amps per channel with Alpine Speakers, so this car was a shock to my hearing. I was turning off the music because I could not tolerate it, now it's so much better with just these speakers in the rear. I have other speakers that go in the door but someone else will have to install them. Great Speakers at a good price works well with stock head unit.
Pros: Speakers sound good with stock radio. Low Price. 3yr warranty
These speakers went in a Camry 2012 on the doors. These speakers are an upgrade to the factory ones and are worth the price. They are just connected to the factory stereo.
Pros: Price, fast shipping which is free (4 days),
Cons: N/A reAlly
Love them.... replaced my factory 6x9, n they have a great sound good mid and mid bass
Installed these Sound Ordnance P-69 in the rear deck of a 1997 Accord. The front doors already had Infinity Kappa 3-ways so I was good there. All driven by a Kenwood KDC-HD455U head unit. These P-69 sound and perform awesome! They fill out the sound and then some. They have really great bass - it's not muddy or boomy - it's tight. I could *almost* get by without adding a sub. If you need to keep costs down and don't plan to add a sub, then these P-69 will provide plenty of bass. I installed these in September 2013 but wanted to give them time to break in and see how they performed before I submitted a review. So far (6 months later), they are great and I couldn't be happier. I took a gamble on the Sound Ordnance brand because I had never heard of them until I shopped for speakers in September. Thank you Crutchfield for producing an awesome product at a bargain price!
Pros: Great price and great value for the performance. Great bass - it's not muddy or boomy - it's tight.
Cons: None for performance. These were supposed to fit easily as drop-ins into the rear deck, with no modifications. However, the 4th bolt hole on the speaker would not line up with the factory hole. I screwed down 3 of the 4 bolts, and then used a zip-tie on the 4th hole to fully secure the speakers to prevent vibrations. This trick has worked so far for 6 months.
Speakers sound great and was exactly what my old scout needed
Pros: ease of installation and wiring
These Sound Ordanaces' are definitely worth purchasing, even if you don't want something simple. Don't underestimate these speakers. As long as you have the right head unit, and front deck speakers as well, the combination is so clear. I am able to hear the music (vocals, bass, etc.) so clearly that if i would have known about Sound Ordinance earlier, I would have bought the front deck as well from them. My '97 Honda Prelude stock speakers were paper thin...and now, they have new, perfectly fitted and easily installed new ones.
Pros: Flawless quality of sound, great price, perfect fit, easy to install
These speakers are a great factory replacement, 100 times better over the stock speakers. My stock speakers just weren't putting out the highs that I'm use too with amplified speakers, but these truly amazed me with the sound quality they put out on factory head unit power. I would recommend these to anyone that is looking to replace the stock speakers and do not want to go through the trouble of adding more amps.
Pros: Quality, fitment, inexpensive, sound
Used to replace my OEM speakers on my 1998.5 Dodge Ram 2500 (Infinity system). Perfect fit, screwed into existing holes with no modifications whatsoever. Sound is better than the OEM speakers. Granted, I don't turn the volume on past the halfway mark on my radio, so don't know if there is any type of distortion at maximum levels.
Pros: Perfect fit Good sound quality Inexpensive
Cons: I'm not a sound enthusiast to notice any, just wanted something to replace my factory speakers.
Pros: Great price
Great look, perfect fit, easy install, great price. They sound good for inexpensive speakers and very fast, free shipping.
Absolutely love this product! Have owned high-price component speakers and these easily compete for a quarter of the price. Highly recommend, blow my stock speakers away for under $120
Better than I thought for how much they cost
Good value for a speaker, good quality.
If your looking for a quick and cheap replacement these are yours right here. I'm no rookie to audio performance, and these do a great job of producing music to your ears. I originally wasn't going to replace my rear deck speakers do to getting a sub, but I'm glad I did. They produce bass and mids like no other. I have them paired with infinitys in the front and they give me the bass that infinitys do not. For $39.99 I cannot believe what I got. They fit really well and had no problem being installed. I highly recommend these to anyone! Great speakers! Thanks to crutchfield also for sending wiring adapters to make the install even quicker!
Pros: Greats bass, crisp mids
Cons: NONE, great audio and great quality!
For the price these sound good. I paired them with a set of Sound Ordinance 6x9 truck boxes. They sounded a little "tinny" at first. Then I adjusted the Hz on my receiver and added a little baffle to the boxes and they sound far better than a pair of budget speaks. Impressed, Thanks Crutchfield! I will be purchasing Sound Ordinance component 6" and a 10" sub with Sound Ordinance box as I like to have matched sets.
Pros: Good quality Sound great Quality built
Purchased these to replace the stock speakers in the front doors of a 2006 Nissan Xterra. They fit perfect . Installation was easy and they sound good too. Fast delivery.
These speakers worked great. Clear without distortion and the installation was simple. The speakers fit just like crutchfield said they would. Quick Delivery.
Pros: Quick Delivery, Great Product, Great Price
Cons: Mounting Screw holes were off a bit, but this did not stop installation.
Speakers sound great! they have a good range.
These speakers are great, sound great, fit as good as the factory ones. Using these to replace the factory ones which just stopped working.
Pros: Fit, sound
Excellent speakers for the price. I had them installed along with a subwoofer and it sounds amazing
These sound great in my car;. They are replacements for the factory speakers, and the clarity is so much better. They were a pain to install, but that is because of the Acoustic Feedback System in my car that had to be bypassed (should you need to do this, there are some very helpful soures online). Very happy with the purchase. P.S. - It wasn't obvious to me how to get the speakers "out" of the covers they ship with, but the wire mesh grill pops off without too much effort.
Pros: Great sound at a nice price
The speakers and sound pretty good, a little louder than stock but not any better as far as quality. The 2 stars are solely based on sound and looks, see con's for the reason's
Pros: They look good They sound good
Cons: There was more to the install Than note said : "1 or more rivets/screws need to be drilled out." 1 hole matched up. I needed to put self tapping screws into the speakers them selves. There was nothing under the holes that were provided in the speakers to screw too Very disappointed and I didn't have the patients or time to return them
First off, these speakers are less than $50 a pair. They are low/medium power speakers that give them a fairly high power efficiency, which is what I was looking for. After a few emails with the Crutchfield staff, I got the specs (see below). The Q indicates it is not a thundering bass design, but decent enough for a tuned port to give it some help. I was initially looking for a low power speaker that was in the 90dB sensitivity range and with a soft tweeter that could emphasize voice. This speaker did just that. Shortly after I got the first pair, I decided to get the premade speaker enclosures. But the ~0.3 cu ft case just wasn't enough for these speakers to drive much below 110Hz. They really need closer to 0.5 cu ft to get to 96Hz (twice Fs) and prime for a tuned port. These are not overly bright or punchy speakers. They are clear in the voice range and carry enough drive that one can get some enjoyable top and bottom end out of them. I think they are best used in an environment that needs good filler sound, voice, or is supplemented by a sub-woofer. It is easy to both over-sell and under-sell these speakers. They are efficient down to 2 watts. If one wants louder and punchier, I'd say to spend a bit more for something like the MTX TDX692. For those into building speakers, here are the specs from these speakers. Fs=48.3 Qms=12.13 Qes=0.6 Q=0.57 Vas=4.21
Pros: Keys on 2 watts and drives up to 55. Great with enhancing voice with decent upper end. Can port to get some lower end, and can go down to 48Hz.
Cons: None, if you know what you are getting.
I bought these Sound Ordnance P-69 rear deck speakers for my 2000 Honda Accord to pair with the great head unit and front speakers that I bought from Crutchfield for my car. I only ordered the P-69s when my first choice, a set of Kickers, were out of stock. I should have waited because I didn't like these speakers at all. They are tinny, have no bass and were not even as good as the old, stock OEM speakers that were already in my car. Crutchfield, as usual, had fabulous customer service that allowed me to return these P-69s so I could buy the Kickers that I wanted in the first place. I'm looking forward to their arrival so I can install the new Kickers, which got great reviews. Thanks Crutchfield
Pros: They fit my car's rear deck.
Cons: Poor sound quality, very tinny, no bass. Very disappointed in these and returned them for Kickers.
Bought these and the matching 6 1/2s for my 2010 Nissan Rogue. Waited to write a review till they were fully broken in. Now that they are all I can say is that I am amazed how good these speakers sound. Good bass, good highs and good clarity. they are hooked up to a Pioneer head unit. The combination sounds very good together. I highly recommend these speakers, for the price I don`t think you`ll find better.
Pros: Sound, cost, wide range of autos they fit.
My 2013 Nissan Rogue had 6X9 speakers that were - well - 6X9 factory speakers, but that was the extent of it... needed better on the cheap. The folks at Crutchfield were helpful as always, and I purchased the P-69's. Installation was an absolute breeze and the improvement was although not earth shattering, it was very good. What sold me on these speakers was the 3 yr warranty and price, which I don't feel like I gave up anything and gained some very nice sound improvement. So, if using a stock OEM head unit, and need a less costly improvement - you could do worse, but the P-69's are worth the look. Thanks Crutchfield.
Pros: Fitment, cost.
Cons: Virtually error free. Base could be a little more subtle, or crisp, but overall fine for me.
Rear speakers went out so i bought these. My old ones had more much more bass. These are good if you just need to fill the empty sound gap in your car. My 12'' sub is what's saving my bass addiction lol.
Pros: 3 year warranty
Cons: No bass, flat sound.
Just installed these into the rear deck of my 2001 Plymouth Neon. They sound absolutely amazing paired with a 52 watt Sony Head Unit. I took a chance with these after I put some Sound Ordnance P-67's in my front doors, and I loved the way they sound. Perfect for people not only on a budget, but for those looking for superior sound quality as well.
Pros: Clear highs with the Silk Dome Tweeter (Another +1 for silk dome tweeter), but really clean lows as well.
Cons: Haven't heard any yet!
I really like these. They are clear and crisp. Not perfect but pretty close!! They can pretty much handle whatever you throw at them. They're strong but not overpowering. Sounds good while driving with the windows down too. Not even going to rush to get subs now.
Pros: Crisp, clear, powerful
I used these to replace the OEM Infinity speakers in the side panels my son's 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. They were easy to install and were a perfect fit. These were on sale when I bought them so they were hard to pass up. We paired these with the P-67C's for the front, and we now have a very nice, balanced sounding system.
Pros: Price(were on sale), sound, ease of install, and the speaker wire adapters were a time saver
These 6 x 9 speakers are a sound value I was someone who wanted to upgrade my factory speakers with aftermarket ones and these fit the bill they sound great the installation was a snap Crutchfield once again came through giving me everything I needed to install myself and really the whole install took about an hour. Now just gotta do my door speakers. :)
Pros: Sounds great, I'm keeping my factory head unit for a while so when I do upgrade I will be ready to go.
Cons: Not really a con because I knew going into this project that my factory mounting holes would not line up to standard 6x9 speakers but with some patience and a sharp drill bit, made some new mounting holes and everything works great
While I know that when someone says "value," people have a tendency to automatically think "cheap," that should not be the thought with these. They are constructed very well and of quality materials. I've been deep into the audio world for quite some time, and have experienced a lot of speakers at both ends of the cost spectrum. For these being toward the lower end, they have excellent sound. The biggest mistake would to hook them up to your OEM head unit or a cheap 20 watt deck and claim that the speakers only sound somewhat better than the originals. Use a good head unit or a simple amp. These sound quite a lot better with a full, clean 50 - 60 watts behind them. You'll be surprised.
Pros: Great clarity and output volume, sleek but simple looks, very well designed and constructed, excellent price for the quality!
I've been very please with this speaker. The sound is great and so it the price.
Pros: Great Sound, Good bass for size
My Chrysler 200 rear deck speakers were lacking crisp highs, but had great bass. I replaced them with the p-69's and the difference was like night and day. I still have the bass as the factory speakers had and now have much better highs.
Pros: Crisp highs and still have the bass as the oem's.
I was really surprised with the significant improvement in sound from the stock 6x9s to these P-69s. I love the range it covers and does well with mid-lows and highs. Great bang for your buck. Didn't really care for the plastic/chrome trim and thought that was what was causing my problems with my first set. I initially had issue with my first set at the tweeter stalk, it buzzing at certain low frequencies, and was sent a replacement right away. - Installed in a 2010 Maxima
Pros: Excellent price. You really get what you pay for here. Great customer service too! Crutchfield was very helpful regarding product issues and sent a replacement right away.
Cons: Inner plastic trim around tweeter stalk was not glued down well and creaked when pushed on (leading me to think it was the cause of the initial buzz issues I had after checking wiring connections).
Was surprised by these speakers. Installed in my wife's Sebring GTC and was worried if the bass would be deep enough. To my surprise they have plenty of bass. They sound great for the price.
Pros: Low priced and great bass.
Cons: non at this time
these speakers were an absolute upgrade over the stock speakers in my son's honda civic. sound great for the price.
Pros: bass was a bit better than expected fit 1997 honda housing perfectly
Cons: can't think of any because they were just what i was hoping for. great upgrades for my stock speakers.
For what you pay these are a great choice!!!
Pros: Great Value
These speakers were replacements for the stock 6 x 9's in the tailgate of a Dodge minivan. I wondered what they would sound like with the stock Dodge radio and stock front speakers. I am very pleased with the results. I get a lot more bass and mid range from the Sound Ordinance 6 x 9's that complement the stock front speakers.
Pros: Low Cost, good fit in the existing speaker locations in the Dodge tail gate, goof-proof electrical connection, good sound with stock radio
Cons: Needed to enlarge mounting holes a tad for easy fit
Man, these speakers hit way above their weight! The sound quality for the price here is phenomenal. They have above average highs and really decent bass response while being driven by a 50W per channel Pioneer head unit. The mids can get a bit muddled but that is not enough to detract from the overall sound quality. Even my wife, who could not normally care less about speakers and sound quality gave me a high-five after hearing these speakers for the first time. I took a chance based on the other user reviews and I am more than pleased that I did. Don't wait...buy these speakers today!
Pros: Fantastic Value Audio Quality: Highs and Lows
Cons: Mids can get muddy sometimes
For the price these were a great surprise. Much better than the stock speakers in my Dodge. They have a decent amount of bass and surprising sound quality. After installing them a friend of mine has showed interest in buying them as well.
Pros: The sound, and clarity, the ease of installation, and build quality was good.
Cons: The speakers have a grill on them, which was not compatible with my car, it was just a little trying to get them off.
needed replacements for my factory speakers
Pros: great sound, cheap $
Definatly more detail in the music
Pros: Good sound quality
Cons: Factory rear speakers have more bass than my new 6x9s. Hard to get the sound balanced
Just installed Sound Ordnance's P-69s in my 2002 Dodge Stratus ES, replacing the rear factory 6x9 speakers. Took about an hour, but it was well worth it. Sound quality is greatly enhanced in the bass and high areas. Mid-range response was better than the factory speakers, but not as noticeable as the other ranges. I suspect the response would be better with a better high-end head unit (I still am using the factory Infinity radio w/EQ). Crutchfield delivery was quick. Overall, a nice upgrade to factory speakers at a very reasonable cost.
Pros: Solid feel Good sound quality Great for upgrading from factory speakers
Cons: None so far
Put these in my 2004 Camry. Sounds great with the new Alpine stereo. Just wishing I would have gotten rid of the stock equipment when I bought the car rather when I handed it down to my daughter.
Pros: Value, workmanship, performance
Cons: non considering the prcie.
some of the reviews here were accurate, as expected the mids are lacking. compared to factory speakers they are much clearer and the bass is also much cleaner. if you're not an audiophile but just want to upgrade from your typical factory sound system with 4 to 6 speakers, you can't go wrong with these 2 way speakers and adding a separate sub. i still use the stock headunit and these 2 ways make a significant difference (as would probably any coaxials over the factory speakers)
Pros: cleaner bass and clearer highs
Cons: not much difference in the mids.
Placed order for 6x9's, that would provide relatively good sound to replace factory speakers. Was informed by Crutchfield personnel the SOUND ORDINANCE 69 speakers should fill the bill. When Speakers arrived, my wife was surprised for receiving a completion of birthday present. When I hooked up speakers and turned on car stereo, I WAS AMAZED with not only the sound, but the SOUND QUALITY. Very excellent speaker. THANK YOU CRUTCHFIELD TEAM
Pros: Fantastic sound; like re-introducing stereo for auto. Easy installation; all wiring included.
Cons: One speaker was about 1/16 inch off in size; was unable to get one set screw in to tighten speaker down.
Very impressed with these speakers compared to the original Kenwood 6x9's
Son excelentes Bocinas el sonido del bajo es excelente. Yo la comparo con un sonido de alta calidad vale la pena la compra. These are excellent speakers, the bass response is awesome. Comparing this to other high quality systems, this is definitely worth buying.
Cons:Crutchfield response on 12/7/2012 Translation provided by Crutchfield's Spanish Sales & Support team. Visit our new Spanish-language site at www.crutchfieldenespanol.com:
Got these to replace the weak stock rear speakers. Decent sound for the money.
Pros: Inexpensive, sound good
Cons: Not quite an exact fir lining up screws, could only get 3 of the 4 in but they are solidly in-place
Good for replacing broken stock speakers.
Awesome speakers on a budget get really nice highs and lows... kinda soft on mids.. these speakers can be really loud and not distort and they sound really clear and have good bass. A friend asked if i had a sub haha..
Pros: Highs, lows
Will not fit without modifications. Magnet too big to fit in opening. Voice coil hits original speaker grill.
Pros: Looks good.
Cons: Not a direct fit.
Replaced stock speakers in 2007 Jeep Compass. Surprisingly good sound from such cheap speakers. Don't expect greatness, but they good for the price.
Installed in rear deck of 2000 Civic to replace factory origs. Sound is excellent, with good low end. Mounting instrucs were spot-on, unlike instrucs for front door Sony Xplod XS-GTX1642s (see review).
Pros: Trouble-free install; good overall sound from low-end speakers.
Great stock speaker replacement. Suprisingly strong bass response, great tweeter. Wish there was more mid range, likely due to two way design and polypropelene cone. Nice build quality. Overall very satisified with sound quality and output level off our factory CD player in our 1999 Honda Civic. Even shakes the rear view mirror with wimpy stock head unit! Great value for the money we spent.
Pros: Build Quality, Sound Quality, Price, excellent tweeter
Cons: Better mid range response.
A slight upgrade over factory rear speakers in my 2001 Blazer, but I was was hoping for more. Should have spent a little more money and got something better. For the price, I'm content.
Cons: Muddy mid range
Good speakers! When one of the rear factory speakers died, I was looking for a replacement that wouldn't cost me a lot of money. The Sound OrdnanceT P-69 was a good price, and they were better quality speakers that the factory originals.
I bought these to replace the factory rear speakers in my 2003 Honda Accord, and I am very pleased with them. I agree with the majority of the ratings and comments on here - they sound very good, especially for the price. I am running them on an Alpine 45W amp, though they sounded great with my 25W head unit also. I have a sub, so I don't push them too hard for bass. They sound really decent, so don't be scared away by the price!
Pros: Suprising sound, easy to install.
I just got these installed but I'm very pleased so far. Good sound (although I do not stress my speakers) and a great price. I do wish that Crutchfield sold the aftermarket adapter.
Pros: Good quality, great price.
Cons: Required an adapter, not sold by Crutchfield, to fit in my Corolla.
Frankly, I bought these speakers because they were the cheapest 6x9's I could find on crutchfield and only expected a nominal increase over my stock speaker experience. I was way off. These speakers offer amazing lows with strong highs. I have had friends question where my subwoofer was when using these speakers.
Pros: Great lows, outstanding value
Cons: Much louder than front speakers (not really a con)
For the price you can't beat them. Great sound if you are just upgrading OEM speakers and leaving the head unit. I had to turn the bass down could not believe how much bass they had. Installed in a 2011 malibu
Pros: Easy to install and great affordable sound
Cons: Only con for me is the cheesy dog tag and tweeter shape.
Love em. Good fit. Holes were a tiny bit off, but no problems. Sound great for the money, more than enough for my quad cab
Pros: Price, sound
The online catalog said these "fit," but only by cutting the metal, Honda, speaker brackets.
I am truly enjoying the speakers. I decided to purchase them not only for the incredible price but from the quality the speakers seem to have. I have recommended my fellow peers who interested in enhancing their sound systems to do so by way of Crutchfield. Thank you for the enhance sound.
Pros: great seperation of the rhythm of music and the vocals
Cons: none as far as I know
Nice upgrade over my stock speakers in my 2007 honda accord. Wasn't as good as I hoped but for the price and easy install would buy again.
Pros: easy install and good value
Cons: a little muddy for being aftermarket
Awesome replacement for the price...The OE front speakers in my truck opened and no sound. Crutchfield techs. recommended these Sound Ordnance P69's as a good replacement. I was very surprised that the sound was definitely better than the OE speakers. Easy fit into the doors. No problems on the R and R.. Bottom Line-very good speakers for the price..
Pros: Price and better than OE sounds on Blues and Pop music.
Great upgrade over stock. Went into 2002 civic coupe rear deck without issue.
Pros: Good value
Cons: Holes didn't line up perfect but worked
Great product, sounds 100% better than my factory speakers.
Pros: Well built, great price
Cons: Highs are a bit lacking but well worth it.
I needed a replacement for the stock Pioneers. One of the originals blew a couple months after hooking up my new CD receiver. Perfect for what I needed. Two of the mounting holes lined up fine the other two I had to open up a little with a tap. Other than that, easy install. They handle all the power I'm getting to them(~35 Wrms per channel).
Pros: In-expensive, quality replacement for stock Accord speakers.
Cons: Slight mis-alignment on 2 out of 4 mounting holes.
I was looking for an inexpensive replacement for the crackly, worn out, paper cone speakers in the back deck of my '01 Protege. I had a few options to chose from, but the reviews for the Sound Ordnance P-69 were numerous and very positive. I am very glad I chose these speakers! The highs are extremely crisp, and the mid-range is also fantastic. It sounds like someone is playing in the back seat of my car! The bass is solid, but not overwhelming. With some tweaking of the EQ in my head unit, I was able to get some good rumble. For the money, I could not be happier.
Pros: -Price -Mid range and highs sound amazing -Easy installation (Thanks Crutchfield for the wiring package)
Cons: - Bass not booming
These is the second pair i have bought, the first pair went into what was my wife's car a couple of years ago. it is now my son's car. Sounded great right from the start, still sound awesome. I installed the new pair into my car, it was actually a bit more difficult this time around but worked out great afterall. Speakers sound great with new head unit and new component speaker up front.
Pros: good value
Cons: none, so far.
Good set of speakers that are a whole lot better than the factory's
Pros: Low price, good sound
Cons: none so far
I was really surprised with how good they sound. A great choice for upgrading stock speakers.
Pros: Come with dog tags. Good sound. Budget priced. Clean no frills appearance.
Cons: Plain brown box.
Pretty good speakers for the price. Bass is decent, but I have heard better (also had to pay 3x as much though). If your just looking for a boost over factory speakers then this will meet your needs. If your looking for hard bass and superior sound then you will need to spend more. I would place the sound quality somewhere between stock speakers and some $200 speakers. I'm glad I purchased overall.
Pros: Decent Bass; Price
Cons: Just OK sound
These speakers are good for the money. I have had them now for just under a year, with no problems at all. The speakers seem to be good quality, esecially for the price point. I have 4 of these in a 2008 Nissan xterra with a jvc deck and no amp, they get loud enough to hurt my ears so I dont think an amp is necessary.
Pros: Great price and quality.
Cons: none yet.
I originally ordered a pair of Kenwoods to go in my 2002 Mazda, but noticed after hitting submit that Crutchfield claimed the Kenwoods would not fit. I entered a chat session w/ Crutchfield agent Chad who explained to me that the Kenwoods were too tall to fit under the rear deck and suggested the P69s instead - to which I agreed and he swiftly modified my order, whic I received in two days. 5 stars for customer service! I ran into a little trouble with the installation because the holes in the P69 frames did not line up very well with the holes in the deck, and while I didn't have to drill anything out, it made the installation a bit more of a struggle than anticipated. Overall I'm very happy with the sound.
Pros: Value-priced, great sound for the money
Cons: Installation difficult because of slightly misaligned holes in speaker frame
Swapped out a pair of 6 1/2" in my front door and these added more clear mid's and high's ,with the right touch of bass. Not the window cracking kind, but ok for what i was looking for. sounds good with a JVC head unit i just installed. Its like a match made in sound heaven.
Pros: good quality, price and crutchfeild service. what more could you ask for?
Almost returned these, have Kenwood which puts out 22 RMS with 50 watt max. I added an amp pushing these to 45 watts RMS and these things are awesome now. My buddy keeps looking around in my truck for a sub woofer, that's how deep the bass is. I listen to classic rock, some heavy metal. These speakers are perfect for hitting a range of high, and low frequencies. I have these in the front doors of my 08 Nissan frontier crew, PERFECT after amplifier was added.
Pros: Very good bass. No distortion at high volumes.
Cons: None now.
The Sound Ordnance P-69 speakers sound great. As always, Crutchfield delivers. I've been buying stuff from them for years and have always been satisfied.
Pros: Good bass and crisp highs. It should be noted - I'm running a sub with them.
I bought these because I was on a budget. They replaced a set of Sony 6x9 3-ways that I bought in 2004. I rely on my rear-deck speakers to give me a decent amount of bass, and not overpower me with treble. This was not the case with these speakers. I went through every possible custom curve in my EQ and unless the mid is all the way down, the speakers sound horrid. They have crisp highs and decently tight lows, but for 2-way's the treble is almost unbearable. For someone who loves highs and is replacing factory speakers, they are a decent buy. For someone who is a customization freak like myself and loves bass, these will not work for you. I may attempt an in-line low-pass filter, but I have a feeling it won't make these worth keeping.
Pros: Decent bass punch. Highs are clear.
Cons: Mids are muddy and sound horrible. Highs are way too high and almost impossible to eliminate without installing an in-line low-pass filter.
Fit in my car like a glove so they were an easy install and sound very good. Highly recommend.
Pros: Inexpensive, Good sound, Easy to install.
Cons: Mastersheet instructions for my application were not accurate regarding installation of my speakers.
sound great good bass and highs cant beat them for the price
Pros: perfect fit, love crutchfields wiring makes everything plug and play simple quick installs
Cons: so far none
Received the Open Box version of the speakers - they looked brand new to me. Installed them on 2007 Honda Accord VP that doesn't come with rear speakers (but has all the wiring I need). The bass is great, treble: not so much, but it may just be me. In any case, great speakers for the price, the difference in sound (2 speakers vs 2 speakers + these ones) is amazing. I'm highly satisfied.
Pros: Bass, ease of installation
Cons: Treble not as crisp
My last system had polk audio and sony speakers. didn't want to spend that much this time. went with sound ordance on a gamble, having never heard of them. I spent less than half of what I did last time, and the sound is just as good if not better.
Pros: price, sound quality
Replaced factory speakers with the Sound Ordnance 6x9's and 5.25's and a basic Kenwood 248. It doesn't get much cheaper on cost and the sound is really great. Never thought it would sound this good for such a low-cost. The p-69's really have some punch on the mid-level base and the tweeters do a good job on the high-end sound. Overall the set-up has really good depth when you tweak the EQ settings. I did some basic sound deadening and this really helps tighten up the sound. VERY satisfied with the value of this set-up - I should have done it a long time ago!
Great speakers for the price! I was surprised at the sound quality! I decided to give Sound Ordnance a try and will be buying more of their products in the future.
Pros: Great speakers for the price
Cons: None yet
I've been dabbling in audio electronics since 1986 when Crutchfield was a catalog company. I've built several systems for various cars and trucks both mine and others ranging from a Frankensteined budget system to expensive high end equipment. I'm by no means a monster audio builder but I know the in's and out's of audio systems. I'm involved in a makeover for my economical Honda accord I use to cut gas cost to and from work. I started with a Kenwood KDC-X595 and a set of Polk 6.5 inch in the front door, a obvious sound difference from the factory speakers and deck. But the real reason I'm writing this review is for the rear 6X9's made for Crutchfield from Sound Ordinance. I wanted a quality deck, but since I don't spend a lot of time in this vehicle I didn't see the need to spend a lot on speakers, and an amp at that point was still up in the air. To the point, SO 6X9's are nice! Install was a snap; all of 10 minutes but the immediate sound quality and bass was amazing. I can't remember expecting so little and gaining so much from any product to this extent. I'm not the only one either! I'm wringing my hands as I spy a 5 channel amp and a sub for the trunk. I bet.NO! I KNOW that with a little power to these they will once again make me grin from ear to ear. I'm glad I took a chance on them, and for the money, since these days so much boils down to that it, was so worth it!
Pros: For a two way speaker it carries the highs well and bridges the mid through to a good non distorted thump.
For the money paid, these are excellent speakers. As good as some other higher end brands I've owned in the past. I wanted to upgrade the sound as I was still using the original factory speakers (99 Mazda Protege). I was not sure how long I'd be keeping the car (not very as I just bought a newer model A4) and didn't want to put a lot into it. These speakers sound pretty good. Price makes them even better.
Nothing amazing here, my wife's rear speakers in her 2001 Civic Coupe died and I replaced them with these. The sound slightly better than the OEM, but quality is good and price is great. I have no regret getting these for her car.
Very pleased with the overall package for the money spent. The instruction package was on the money and the connector kit mase things very easy. The speakers fit nicely and delivered sound significantly better then the factory speakers.
These were easy to install. Bass is less than I had hoped for. Not really any better than factory units they replaced.
Cons: Weak bass.
Replaced blown OEM speakers, put these in front doors of RAM PU, sound great, no radical bass, but for the price great. Installed as Crutchfield said, no modifications. Mated to new Pioneer HD33 and new rear spkrs, much better than original!
Pros: Good sound for price. Fit in original position w/o any mods.
The 6x9 Sound Ordinance speakers were everything I expected and more from Crutchfield. Crisp highs and strong bass. Always pleased when I order from here.
Overall these speakers are great. Install was just as Crutchfield told me. Speakers sound really great in my 2011 Xterra with a Clarion CX501 head unit. I think that some of the people that gave these speakers not so great reviews need a new head unit. Even if you got $200 dollar speakers with a stock head unit, you will not be getting the sound you are looking for. The CX501 gives you the power and equalizer adjustments you need to finely tune these speakers. Once they are tweaked, these speaker sound as nice as many of the higher end speakers. They offers great highs and lows. Not the bass of subs obviously but they are great. I got these and the 6 1/2's and like them both. I have experience with several types and styles of speakers and you really cant beat these for the price. GREAT IMPROVEMENT OVER STOCK. Crutchfield did really well with the design and sound of these speakers.
I bought these because there were only two 6x9s that fit in the stock location in my car due to obnoxious tension-springs. The other set was $200, and that was as much as I planned to spend on the whole system. The sound is fine -- not garbled. But neither the highs nor the lows are anything to brag about. They are a good replacement for OEM, but if you don't plan to put in a sub to fill out the bass, you might think about saving cash somewhere else. One more thing: The surround on these is a treated foam product, not the butyl rubber that most aftermarket speakers use these days. That means that the longevity will be compromised if your car is sitting out in the sun more often than not.
Great sound at a good price. Sound is superior to factory speakers, and installation was a snap.
Chad walked me through what to get. I was skeptical of this brand, never heard of it and the price was so low, but they sound great in my 2011 Xterra mated to a new Alpine CDE-123, which also kicks for the money. $300 all in, deck, XM receiver and 6x9s; totally satisfied so far!
Excellent speakers!!! Got these to replace the rear factory speakers on my 04 Corolla. I had replaced the factory deck with a Kenwood 248 w/USB. I have no preamp or subwoofer. These speakers have great bass and very nice midrange and treble. Definitely a thumping bass, even without a subwoofer. My factory speakers could not handle Ipod songs at medium to high volumes without distortion, especially of the bass...the P69's give very strong bass and midrange at medium to high volumes. Overall the sound is very clear, realistic (like a drumset in your back seat). I play hard rock, blues, classical, Christian, folk, etc, and all styles of music just sound perfect. I definitely plan on upgrading the front speakers to Sound Ordinance as well.
The 6X9 are great replacement, they are not as good as Polk audio but for the price i believe its a great investment.
Fit perfectly. Sound good with new Pioneer in-dash unit.
Great speakers for the price! I replaced a pair of factory Monsoon system 6x9's in a 2004 Grand AM with these, and despite being told they would only play bass or treble (not both) because of the Monsoon system, these speakers play everything and sound really good. I'm sure they will sound even better once I get a new Car Stereo. For the money, great buy.
I installed 4 of these speakers in a 2007 Jeep Compass, and boy I was surprised at the difference they made. The base is nice and punchy and the clarity was far better than my expectations . I don't think you can go wrong with the speakers for the price, A great way to upgrade from those weak OEM speakers that the manufacture put in your car. I just don't know why manufactures still do this for the price that vehicles are going for today.
When I first installed these they sounded great and clearly punchy. A few days later I noticed some distortion when playing a "bassy" song. I thought it was just that song but just about any song with good bass distorts now. Even when turn off all bass they don't sound the same as the first time. I don't use an amp just the 22watts from my Kenwood MP32U, the front kenwood coaxials aren't distorting so I didn't know what to think except maybe these 6X9's aren't as good as the 4 stars it has.
These were just what I was wanting; a cheap upgrade for the rear deck of my Mazda. Much better than factory 6x9s.
Got these with an Alpine CDA 105. Definitely not impressed - wound up returning them. Good bass, a little boomy and undefined. Virtually no mid-range though. Vocals and instrumentals were very muddy. Highs were either non-existant or tinny. Your choice. I just wasn't impressed. Honestly, the stock speaker from a 2001 Dodge Ram sounded better - not quite as much bass, but better in clarity, fidelity, and mids and highs. I'll replace them with something else...but...not another set of these.
easy instructions..sound much better than factory.great deal.perfect fit
These speakers worked great in my truck. I installed them with my new JVC receiver. I only replaced the door speakers, now the sound from the old and new speakers is very nice.
I installed these speakers in the rear of a 2000 Chevy blazer on Monday. Thanks to the instructions and adaptors supplied by Crutchfield the installation was a breeze.About 40 minutes. They are used with a set of 3way pioneers in the doors.I have listened to them for about 20 hours now.Combined with the other speakers they provide a good ballanced sound. But at times with certain songs the sound is kind of muffled. But all in all they are a very good speaker for the price. They are a good speaker for someone not looking to spend a lot of money on their system.
I've only been using these speakers for 2 weeks. The highs are really there. they sound good. for a new speaker. I still think a little more time will be needed for a more thorough review. However I don't think they are as good as the pioneer 6x9's I had in my Nissan Armada. However I will give them the benefit of the doubt. They seem to be well made, I also like the design. Time will tell with these speakers what they can do.
I installed these P69's in my 01 Ram yesterday, I popped off door panels, unscrewed the old speakers, crutchfield sent a wiring harness to connect the factory wiring harness to the P69's so I had to splice nothing, I simply plugged in the new P-69's and mounted them in the door using only the factory styrofoam top cover to protect the speaker, I used the old speaker screws only because they have a larger head screw that covered more area than the ones that came with the P69's, better fit. I don't know why someone would give these speakers a bad review, they are great!!! I don't think your gonna do better at this price, they were easy to order, easy to install and sound awesome, a totally great experience and crutchfield is about the only place your gonna find speakers to fit that whole in your dodge ram door, don't hesitate, they are well worth the money!
I bought these for the rear deck and a pair of 6.5s for the front door panels. By themselves, the 6.5s are unsatisfactory and should be passed up even at their price. However, these 6x9s are a great improvement over factory speakers. They have plenty of base and have sufficient clarity in the mid-range. The sound is great and, for the price, are definitely worth the cash. The 6.5s actually seem to compliment the 6x9s and the two work well as a set. Overall, I am satisfied with these speakers, much more so with the 6x9s than with the 6.5s.
These speakers sound great!! I installed them in my 2000 blazer in the back & they have great sound. They are excellent for the price - i was a little scared what they would sound like for the price & for a brand that i never heard of before. I would definitly buy these again. The highs are incredible on them. They are heavy build & not cheaply made. They are definitly build to last.
I bought these for my wife's 2008 Jeep Compass. I only bought one pair because only the fronts were blown out. I was reluctant to buy them due to the fact I have never heard of this brand, but they were a good price. I just installed them and WOW is all I can say! They are hooked up to the factory (base model) stereo and they rock! The mirror vibrates from base and they get loud and clear! I think I will buy some for my Ram also. Definately recommend these speakers!
I picked these speakers up as replacements for the front door speakers in my 2001 Dodge Ram... I wish I'd just spent a little more money on something better. The install was fine, the wire harness from Crutchfield was fine but the sound quality of these speakers leaves much to be desired. BASS: The low end response of these speakers is non-existant. No amount of tweaking the EQ seems to improve this. If you want thumping, deep bass (or any low end at all) you'll need a subwoofer. MIDRANGE: The mid response of these speakers also isn't that great. Pieces of music that I used to be able to hear clearly on my old speakers are now a distant memory. The mid range is a muddled mess. TREBLE: The high end response is a little too high. I found myself needing to turn the high end EQ waaaay down to stop the eardrum piercing sound of the cymbals and guitar solos in the music I listen to (mostly rock and metal). All in all... spend some more money on a better brand unless these are the only speakers that will fit your vehicle.

No speaker enclosure included with my p-69 set.[ MICKEY Dec 01, 2014 ]
They do not come with an enclosure; only with a grille.[ GARY S Dec 01, 2014 ]
I bought this pair from Crutchfield a little over a year ago and I believe I paid either this same price or a little bit more. They did NOT come in any type of enclosure at that time.[ DANNY Dec 01, 2014 ]
Crutchfield shows those pictures to let you know you can get speaker boxes with them but that would be separate. It doesn't say anything in the highlights of speaker box coming with them and I have never seen any brand that did come with a speaker box.[ DAVID Nov 30, 2014 ]
They do not come with enclosures. They do come with the grilles pictured with the enclosures.[ SKYLER Nov 30, 2014 ]
No enclosure was included with mine.[ William Nov 30, 2014 ]
Hi, Kim Even though I was replacing factory speakers, and did not use the grills. If I remember correctly the grills are metal with small holes in it, that are friction fit into the frame of the grill. If so, take something with a fine point, such as an awl. From the side very close to the frame of the grill, insert the point ever so slightly, as to use the frame of the grill to use as a fulcrum, and genltly pry the grill upward. It should come off pretty easily. Hope this helps:) [ BRENT May 15, 2014 ]
I was confused by this too. As I recall, all you remove is the metal screen portion of the grille. Just push the speaker from behind to get it started.[ BRIAN May 15, 2014 ]
The grill just snaps at the corners. Just lightly pop out a corner and do the rest.[ OCOT May 15, 2014 ]
You just pull them off. They are pressed in. It is easy.[ DAN May 15, 2014 ]
From what i remember, The frame of the grill and the grill are 2 pieces. take the speaker set it on a soft surface. take the frame of the grill and push down using both hands on each end. the grill should slowly lift off. Do not push on the grill just the outter frame.. Hope this helps. I did not use the grills for my installation.[ MARK F May 15, 2014 ]
just pull apart or push spearker towards grill[ KEVIN May 15, 2014 ]
