High-performance design and technology

Cambridge Audio uses an advanced digital signal processor (DSP) to preserve the detail in your music. A pair of efficient 2-inch woofers deliver dynamic midrange. Two titanium tweeters produce clean, accurate highs. The speaker's rigid body minimizes unwanted rattle as the rear-firing bass radiator reinforces the low end.

Bluetooth with aptX

Cambridge Audio included aptX, an advanced type of Bluetooth wireless streaming. It retains virtually all the elements of the audio signal it carries. The GO Radio also works with earlier forms of Bluetooth. This means you can play your music wirelessly from almost any portable device.

Power to spare

The GO Radio's built-in rechargeable battery can deliver up to 18 hours of continuous operation. If only your phone could keep up, right? Good news! You can borrow some of the GO Radio's power to recharge your smartphone or tablet. Simply plug it into the speaker's USB port.

Nice Sound, Lousy FM Reception

Spro9 from Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on 5/31/2016

Needed an FM radio to listen to ballgames from Beach House on Jersey Shore - no reception whatsoever from NYC radio stations (about 90 miles away) - nothing! FM reception static filled from NYC ration stations even from my primary residence in North Jersey - only 10 miles away from NYC . While the FM component is a complete failure, sound quality (from an auxiliary device), build quality and appearance are great. Bottom Line - I needed a radio - this unit does not do the job.

Pros: Above average sound quality for a small unit

Cons: Unacceptable FM reception quality

No comparison to the d-cube I had to send back.but at least it works.better sound quality can be had for less reception is poor.

Pros: Small size/battery life.ease of pairing.

Cons: Poor radio reception. No tone controls.average sound quality

Better than I expected

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Was looking at the Bose Soundlink Color but really wanted an FM tuner. There was no dealer near me where I could listen to hear how it compared to the Bose which I have heard. Kyle, my Crutchfield advisor, said he like Cambridge and believed it would compare favorably with the Bose. It does. The bass is deep without being muddled. Mid-range are high range are decent and clear. I use it almost exclusively outdoors and it is more than loud enough and the battery life is fantastic. More than twice what Bose offered.

Pros: Deep rich bass. Crisp mid and highs. Battery life of 18 hours

My review of the Cambridge Audio Go Radio

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have been an audio fan since I was a teen back in the 1960's. Recently I became interested in a Bluetooth speaker and had purchased and returned a Sony version, noticing that the sound was noticeably "thin". I waited with anticipation until this radio was available from Crutchfield, and I am very happy with it's sound. It compares favorably with our Cambridge Soundworks table radio and it's imaging and fullness is impressive, considering it's size and technology. We have downsized our living situation and this radio/blue tooth speaker fills our small living room quite well. I am also very happy with Crutchfield's customer service personal.

Pros: Great looks and good sound. It connects easily to Blue tooth sources and has a nice FM section.

Cons: Not quite as full sounding as a traditional audio system but still quite good, considering it's size and price-point.

Q & A

Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked
Why did you buy this?

My wife likes to listen to FM radio and streaming audio from her smart phone while she is getting ready in the morning. She prefers a digital tuner to easily select FM stations. She also carries her radio outside when working in the yard so portability is important. This radio provides all three features so I am giving it to her for her birthday. [ Chris  Jan 04, 2016 ]
