At just 9" cubed, it's hard to find a subwoofer that's smaller than the Minx X200. What's so great about that? Its diminutive size will make this sub incredibly easy to place in your living room. Under a side table, in a corner, next to your entertainment stand you can place it almost anywhere without sacrificing your style. And like all Cambridge Audio Minx speakers, the X200 is carefully designed to deliver the purest sound, whether you're enjoying a live classical concert or an adrenaline-pumping car chase.
The Minx X200 uses a 6-1/2" forward firing driver made of a single piece of super-strong, aerospace-grade aluminum for amazing punch and attack. It's paired with dual passive radiators that add some serious mid-bass boost. Cambridge Audio's software engineers specially designed the sophisticated Digital Signal Processor (DSP) in this sub, allowing it to pump out sensational bass from such a compact enclosure. You may even be fooled into thinking the X200 is several times its size.

The Cambridg x200 sounds every good I'm really happy with the customer it has nice clean bass! sounds awesome with my klipsch.quintet 5 in 1 set up I'm really happy with the customer service
Pros: small, sounds great!
Cons: what I noticed is you need to breakim in maybe a hundred hours, everyday I hear the sound is louder, and I keep turning the volume down
I was looking for a small , compact sub to replace my over sized B&W 1000 and wanted it to fit into my cabinet so I could hide all the wires. Very surprised at the clear deep distortion free output. A clear winner combined with B&W bookshelf and center speakers. Sound is rich, clear and just enough bass rather than the constant boom of the 1000. Exceeded my expectations for such a small unique unit.
Pros: All Positive
This sub woofer is AMAZING. It has such a rich full sound for a small sub woofer. It truly makes a warm and rich bass and the cross over with my ORB MOD 1 speakers makes for one of the best sounding systems I have heard. I have a small 600 sq. ft condo so I was going for the smallest and met sylish components I could find. This system as far surpassed my expectations. I also needed white and not a black box. The Audio MINX met all my requirements!
Pros: Small, amazing sound, beautiful and well priced. A beautiful product worth far more than the price.
Cons: not a one!
made a huge difference in the performance of my system
Pros: size, price
Cons: none noted as of this writing
Initially I was a disappointed purchaser of the B&W MM-1s for my computer listening. I loved them but simply felt that, despite their beautiful sound, I wanted just a little more bass and the speakers did not have the option of adding a subwoofer. The Crutchfield advisor suggested that if i liked their sound I should get the Definitive Technology Inclines which do permit a sub woofer pairing. So I did. I was sad to lose the MM-1s but the DT sound was pretty good if not as seductively detailed as the MM-1. Yet they too needed more bass. (I'm not a rock listener, I simply wanted a fuller soundscape for the orchestral classical music I prefer and the bass fiddle in jazz trios.) Crutchfield suggested I add the Minx 200. Now I am a totally happy sonic camper. The Minx allows a careful mix of adjustments to give just the sort of bass I want without being overly intrusive and the combo of the Minx and my pair of Inclines is completely satisfying. But what I most like, perversely, about the Minx is not so much the sound as the visual aspect. It is beautiful! It never occurred to me that a subwoofer could be a thing of beauty but the Minx is. The quality of the surface textures is quite seductive and sleek. I say "perversely" because it is small enough to hide under my desk where a large sub would not fit so I don't see it at all. But it still gives me pleasure knowing how beautiful it is, unseen and singing by my feet..
Pros: Design. Sound adjustments. Small size.
Surprising output from such a small unit. Deep, clear, distortion-free bass! I am using it as a 2.1 channel music-only unit, along with a Sony HAP-S1 HDD digital music player and a pair of Focal Little Bird speakers. The sound is phenomenal with all genres of music. A definite best buy!!
Pros: Very small footprint. Easily concealed, but you may want it to be seen. It looks beautiful!
Cons: Absolutely None!
I auditioned this subwoofer side-by-side with a Definitive ProSub 800 in a 15x19 room that opens into a large dining room, and it held its own quite well. The ProSub was a little 'tighter' sounding if you got right on top of it, but at these frequencies that really didn't make that much difference when you were sitting a realistic distance away. The deciding factor was the size: this subwoofer is very compact, very easy to hide away in a room, and delivers excellent bass for movie watching.
Pros: Compact size. Excellent sound. Good controls.
Cons: None, really.
I was looking for a new sub that I could discretely place in a recently renovated family room. I was skeptical due to the size (I have a 12" Infinity powered sub that is amazing), but it fit well in a corner cabinet in the room. The bass is excellent....granted room placement helps, but for 5.1 movies I only have it turned up about 30% to max and it fills the room with great bass. Excellent build quality too.
Pros: Size, build quality, ease of set up
Cons: None so far
I had purchased a Sony SA-W2500 years ago and although I was never wowed with it, it was adequate for my setupt. I recently aquired 5 Cambridge Audio Minx Min 10 speakers, and decided to round out the set with the x200. I hooked the sub up to my Sony STR-DG910 and was somewhat disappointed with the the sound quality and power. I had been wanting to upgrade by receiver for some time and recently purchased the Denon X2000. After setting up the Denon, the difference was immediate and striking. Where my old sub provided a constant indistinct boom, the Minx x200 is smart and sophisticated. Simply put, it sounds great. I am very pleased with the unit. It is extremely well made and the size is perfect for a moderate sized room. I have nothing but good things to say thus far.
I paired the Minx 200 with PSB Imagine B speakers. Created an outstanding full sound. I can punch up the bass if I want. Very clear and transparent and not "muddy" so a very nice match for the Imagine B's. Never felt underpowered. Have a "wow" factor. Friends have said this combination sounds better than a system they know that cost over 2X's what I paid.
Pros: Size. Clarity. The controls are really nice as they allow you to match bass to personal preference levels and type of music. Very high quality cabinet materials and craftsmanship.
Lotsa BAM for your buck, not to mention the size. Don't let the size fool you. this compact sub has the punch you need to add that extra thump to your movies. I have it inside of a cabinet so to keep my living room neat and uncluttered. Even in a enclosure it has plenty of power to give me the effects I am looking for.
Pros: Size to power ratio
Cons: none yet
For the money and size this subwoofer is amazing. I would recommend this to everyone.
Pros: Nice quality bass
Big things do come in small packages.

Auxiliary Bass Radiator (ABR): The Cambridge Audio X200 powered subwoofer utilizes two side-firing 6.5" auxiliary bass radiators (ABR) for greater bass response and better efficiency. The ABR design replaces the need for bass ports to eliminate air noise at higher volume levels.

The black and white high-gloss lacquers are finished to the highest standard using paint application techniques developed by premium automotive manufactures. RCA Input: The powered subwoofer has gold plated left & right RCA line-level inputs for use with receivers having a subwoofer or stereo preamp output that do not contain their own low-pass crossover. The left channel RCA input doubles as the LFE input, if your receiver has an LFE output and a built-in low-pass crossover.
