Keep your TV out of sight when not in use

If you have a large flat-panel TV, you might not want its big, blank screen being a major feature of your room's décor. With the Banyan Creek-XL TV lift cabinet, that's not a problem.

This quality-built cabinet has a powerful motorized lift fitted with a TV mount. At a touch of the included remote control, your flat-panel display descends smoothly and quietly into the cabinet, and the top closes over it. Your TV stand is now simply another beautiful piece of furniture in your room.

A dependable lift mechanism

The Banyan Creek-XL can accommodate a TV with a maximum width of 60". A rugged, heavy-duty rack and pinion lift comes pre-installed in the cabinet. Welded steel construction ensures solid support for your TV, and smooth and nearly silent lift motion.

Fine furniture craftsmanship

This cabinet has the lookand feel of a vintage Edwardian sideboard, with three spacious compartments behind hinged doors. The two outer doors are double-hinged, to allow greater access. The cabinet is built from hand-selected hardwood and mahogany veneers. Hand-layered stain is carefully applied to give the Banyon Creek-XL a lusterous and scratch-resistant finish.

Room for your system

You can easily store up to six components in the right and left compartments. Each compartment features two adjustable shelves with space for cable connections. The center compartment also has two adjustable shelves, and room for a small center channel speaker. And the doors come with interchangeable solid wood and speaker cloth panels.

Built-in remote control wiring

Keeping your home theater gear behind closed doors can make things look organized and uncluttered, but running all the wires necessary to control it can be a chore. That's why the Banyon Creek-XL comes with the necessary remote control infrared blasters and sensor pre-wired and installed. Even with the doors closed, you can control all your gear with whatever remotes you normally use.

I bought this cabinet about 5 years ago. I have been extremely happy with the cabinet's quality, design and features. I use it several times every day. I have not had any issues with the doors, lift mechanism or surfaces. It is a well thought out piece of furniture and keeps your living room looking like a place to sit and talk versus a TV room. Then, when you are ready to watch TV with friends and family. VOILA a giant TV rises to the occasion! I put the front speakers in the front speaker box with the black fabric covers and they work excellent. This is not shown in the pictures but the two long horizontal panels cover a large (6.5"x9.25"x56") speaker area for bookshelf type speakers or sound bars. I have two BOSE 151's that work for both the TV and stereo equipment. I did have an issue with the infrared relay system. At first I had to leave the cabinet door open to start the satellite TV box. Everything else worked ok. I called and got a new photo eye for the front and solved this problem but created a new one. Now all the doors on the front have to be closed for the systems to work at all. This is not a big issue as I keep the doors closed most of the time anyway. I got around this by unplugging the repeaters for the section I need to access frequently and inserted one of the black panels in that door. The remote can get through the black fabric and the rest of the cabinet works on the remote repeaters.

Pros: Real quality cabinet, not particle board. Excellent wiring access. Quality finish. HEAVY DUTY.

Cons: small issue with infrared system. If no issues with repeaters I would definitely give 5+ stars. Lift mechanism location can be a problem if TV connections occupy the same space. There is a moving part that slides up the back side of the TV. If it is right behind the connection panel it could grab wires and damage things. I am using more than just one HDMI to the TV for now (I need a home theater receiver to consolidate wire). If you have just one HDMI to the TV this should not be an issue.
