2011 Toyota Sienna
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I purchased this unit to facilitate the install of a Pioneer AVH-2330NEX into a 2011 Toyota Sienna Limited with OE JBL system and NAV. Had some difficulties during the install, and had to contact iDatalink Tech Support. Tech Support, at iDatalink, and at Crutchfield was awesome! My Pioneer didn't recognize that the emergency brake connection had been made, so numerous screens were unavailable on the unit. Checked the connections/wiring several times, and found it to be correct. iDatalink Tech Support finally found that the firmware was broken, so they rolled me back to an earlier version, and my E-brake problems disappeared. While the iDatalink does a great job of retaining the steering wheel controls, and adding some new capabilities by connecting to the OBDII interface, they fail to make it possible to use my vehicle's OE backup camera (must install an aftermarket camera); fail to retain ability to use OE microphone (must install aftermarket mic); fail to retain fader control over the sound (no work around for this issue). I am very picky about retaining as much of the OE equipment as possible. Not being able to have fader control, and not being able to use OE backup camera and microphone was very disappointing. Had it not been for iDatalink's awesome Tech Support, I would have only given them two stars.
Pros: Awesome Tech Support
Cons: Does not support fader control; OE backup camera; OE microphone.
