iDatalink HRN-RR-CH1 Factory Integration Adapter
Our take on the iDatalink Connec ADS-HRN(SR)-CHR01 Interface Harness by Crutchfield's Dave Delamere
iDatalink meets Chrysler
iDatalink's ADS-HRN(SR)-CHR01 interface harness allows you to connect a new car stereo in select 2007-up Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Volkswagen vehicles, working in conjunction with iDatalink's Maestro ADS-MRR module. Once connected, you'll retain the use of your steering wheel audio controls and your factory amp in these vehicles.
The package includes connectors that plug in between the Maestro module, your Chrysler radio's wiring plugs, and your new car stereo. You'll have to solder or splice together this harness's power/ground, illumination, speaker, and navigation output wires to the corresponding wires on your aftermarket receiver's wiring harness.
With select iDatalink-compatible radios from Kenwood, Alpine, and Pioneer (see Details for specific models), you'll also be able to retain the use of your Uconnect system, including voice command.
Got a Rear Seat Entertainment system?
If you want to keep the factory Rear Seat Entertainment (RSE) system, you can add iDatalink's ADS-HRN(AV)-CHR01 cable (sold separately) to send audio and video from your new touchscreen receiver to the factory monitor.
Installation note: The ADS-HRN(SR)-CHR01 harness must be used with the iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR module to connect a new car stereo to your Chrysler-made vehicle.
Note: Most vehicles will require additional installation parts please identify your vehicle if you haven’t done so. You can also call an Advisor for more information.

Connections: The iDatalink Maestro ADS-HRN(SR)-CHR01 installation harness contains two Molex connectors which plug into your factory radio harness. On the other end of the harness are five multi-pin connectors which plug into the Maestro RR Car Radio Replacement Interface module (794ADSMRR, sold separately). In addition, you will need to hardwire the power/ground, illumination, speaker, and navigation output leads of the ADS-HRN(SR)-CHR01 harness to your aftermarket head unit's wiring harness.
Note: When using the ADS-HRN(SR)-CHR01 installation harness, you will not use the additional harnesses that are included with the Maestro RR Car Radio Replacement Interface module (794ADSMRR, sold separately).
Optional RSE Harness: If your vehicle is equipped with a rear seat entertainment system, then you will also need the iDatalink ADS-HRN(AV)-CHR01 installation harness (794HRNAVC1, sold separately) to retain this feature.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you. [ Krissy Apr 07, 2014 ] Staff
1 answer Will this populate text from ANY (NOT just idatalink-compatible radios) aftermarket receiver onto the EVIC? With a competitors integration adapter the radio text that is normally displayed on the EVIC will be "broken", and simply say "RadioOff" and "RadioOn". I do not want this, so if this adapter fixes this issue then I would be more than happy to swap out my factory unit with a new DDIN. [ Cory Feb 21, 2014 ]
This will likely depend on your vehicle. For details on installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on what you will need for an installation. [ Jeff Feb 21, 2014 ] Staff
