Our take on the Concertone C5

It can be tough to find a place to mount surround sound speakers in your R/V. Concertone has you covered with the C5 surround speaker, an enclosed speaker that mounts to your ceiling without taking up much space. The white enclosure includes a snap on grille to hide the mounting screws and the speaker matches up perfectly with the multi-channel digital amplifier in Concertone's DVD receivers. You can use C5s for your front, rear, and center channel speakers — we recommend that you add the Concertone SW-BOX4 to give your C5 surround system a low-end boost. Priced per speaker.

Hands-on research

Product Research

Overview: The impedance and power handling of the Concertone C5 are matched to the digital amps in Concertone's receivers. The speaker mounts at a slight angle, approximately 10°, firing toward the listening area. The C5 is self contained, so no enclosure is necessary.

Mounting: Part of the speaker is housed in the C5's surface structure, minimizing the mounting depth needed. A round hole is required, approximately 5-1/4" diameter and 2-1/8" deep. Four screws are used to mount the C5 (not included). Once mounted, the grille snaps on to cover the speaker and screws.
