Marine digital media receiver with built-in Bluetooth® (does not play CDs)
Our take on the Infinity INF-PRV250 by Crutchfield's Jon Paulette
A digital media receiver built for the outdoors
Infinity's INF-PRV250 marine digital media receiver gives you plenty of ways to enjoy music on your boat, plus the inputs you'll need to expand your system later.
This digital media receiver packs a lot of features into a compact, rectangular design that fits neatly in almost any boat, Jeep, or ATV. You'll get your favorite AM/FM radio stations, of course, plus you can use the aux or USB inputs to enjoy tunes stored on a music player or USB thumb drive. Built-in Bluetooth lets you stream music from your smartphone.
The INF-PRV250 includes a set of rear-mounted preamp outputs, so you can expand your system with a marine amp in the future. The LED display tells you what you're listening to with just a glance, while the weather-resistant, UV-stable face and controls will stand up to sun, salt and moisture.
Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Learn more in our article explaining Bluetooth profiles.
Installed in my Harley fairing, great fit, look, and sound.

I hate to hear that those inputs are not working. The radio has short pigtails coming off the rear of it with those inputs. You might check those to make sure no cable has been shook loose. Other than that, I'm at a loss as to what could cause it and recommend consulting a technician for troubleshooting help. If you purchased it from Crutchfield, you can call us to troubleshoot it. I hope its a simple fix! My Bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101 [ Paul Apr 04, 2017 ] Staff
Sorry, no. The built-in Bluetooth is for receiving audio streamed to it from your Bluetooth devices. It will not transmit via Bluetooth to wireless headphones. While I now this isn't the answer you were looking for, I hope the information helps. [ Ryan Feb 01, 2017 ] Staff

1 answer I have an Infinity prv- 250 on my motorcycle. I tried adjusting balance on speakers. But the right speaker is almost twice as loud as the left speaker. It wasn't always like that. I just noticed it. Is it possible that the amp may have gone out on that side? The unit is less than 6 mo. old. [ Dale Jul 18, 2016 ]

1 answer This head unit came with the new pontoon boat I recently purchased. I am looking to add a powered subwoofer to the system to give it a little more kick. I can't see anywhere in the doc if there is a remote power signal wire that I can use to remotely power up the subwoofer amp when the deck turns on. Is it the ILL wire? Or can I use the power antenna wire? On automotive decks, the remote amp wire is usually blue. But on this, you have that labeled Power Antenna... [ Jeff Jun 28, 2016 ]
Hi Jeff. That blue wire is the one that you would use a amp turn on lead. Also - a lot of the newer amps have tech in them that will automatically kick the amp on when it senses signal on the RCA or speaker level inputs (so no remote turn on needed). [ Jeff Jul 06, 2016 ] Staff
The Infinity only offers a single pair of RCA pre-amp outputs which should already be occupied by your JL Audio amp. You could use RCA Y Adapters to split the single output of the Infinity into two pairs (one for the JL Amp, the other for the powered sub): http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120RCAY2/T-Spec-RCA-Y2-Y-Adapter.html You would need two of the adapters; one for the left channel the other for the right channel. Hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5 [ Ryan Jun 03, 2016 ] Staff

A long press of the SEL button initially followed by a short press will get you to the menu option to set the initial volume. [ Jeff Mar 04, 2016 ] Staff
1 answer I have the Infinity PRV250 hooked to a Kicker PX200.1 through RCA's which is then hooked to a JL Audio M770-CCX-CG-WH, the JL woofer has a built in crossover for a tweeter. When everything is on i am only getting bass and a little sound with volume turned up through the woofer, nothing through the tweeter. The amp has an option to cut the leads of the RCA input and connect directly to the speaker leads of the source unit for Hi-Level signals. Is this an option with the Infinity PRV250? [ Derek Jul 30, 2015 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: The Infinity PRV250 does offer full range signal through the speaker leads. Since you already have the products you will want to get technical support to troubleshoot the issue at hand. If you purchased the product from Crutchfield, feel free to contact our Tech Support team. They can walk you through the settings on the product and see if there may be a fix. No It's not to my knowledge. Maybe if you have an app on phone can use Bluetooth [ DANUEL Nov 09, 2014 ]
Make sure that unit is set to BT. Press the "3" button until "pairing" appears on the display. Find the infinity unit on your mobile device and the code is 1234. [ DE LA LLATA Jun 30, 2014 ]
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: You have a couple of options for hooking up a four channel amp to that marine head unit. 1. If the amplifier has speaker level inputs, you can run speaker wire, which will give you the ability to fade front to rear. 2. Buy a Line Output Converter, such as the Scosche LOC80, which will allow you to convert the front speaker outputs to RCA level. You will be able to fade front to rear with this setup. 3. If you don't care to be able to fade from one set of speakers to the other, you can use splitters, like the AudioQuest FLX-X RCA Y-Adapter, and then run two lines to the amp. This will result in a lower level signal, since it will be split in two. 4. Depending on the amplifier, you may be able to run one set of RCAs for all four channels, we would need to know the model. This would also keep you from fading the speakers front to rear. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. Shawn, My son-in-law uses his IPHONE to play Pandora thru Bluetooth with this radio when we're on my boat fishing. I think he gets tired of my music that I have on a jump drive loaded into the radio usb input. It's a great system. RC [ RICHARD G May 11, 2014 ]

I have never submerged mine so could not answer that question. I have mine on console so takes weather such as rain and occasional snow. Seems to do fine on wash downs I do spray it with water hose to get salt off but have never used pressure washer on it believe it says somewhere in warnings to never use high pressured water on it. So it has been awesome head unit definitely recommend. The display does fog up a little from time to time but hasn't affected performance any. [ DANUEL Feb 17, 2014 ]
It does not appear that we currently carry the optional remote. These would likely need to be purchased directly from Infinity. I found this information in the manual: A. RF remote option. - In order to take advantage of the remote option, a transmitter and receiver must be purchased (together part#, MILRF9 UART). Once plugged in the RF remote dongle, the RF remote will allow for wireless remote control possibility. B. Wired remote. Proprietary wired remotes may also be used with this Infinity unit. Part # JBLMC20 may be purchased. Part# JBLMC20 may be purchased as well as part# JBLREM50. [ Jeff Dec 23, 2013 ] Staff
