Overview: The ClearView IPD-93A is a day/night dome IP camera designed for indoor or outdoor use in a closed circuit system, such as the new ClearView PhoenixPlus system. The camera features the next-generation video standard H.265 (HEVC). This weatherproof (IP67), high-definition camera has a F1.4, 4x optical zoom lens with a 1/3" 4-megapixel (2688 H x 1520 V) CMOS progressive scan imaging device. The lens has a horizontal angle of view of 110°-35° and a vertical angle of 54°-20°. It operates on 12VDC or PoE (Power over Ethernet), and has an RJ-45 Ethernet connection.
H.265: The new H.265 High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) standard goes beyond the capabilities of H.264, offering the same high-quality video as H.264, but at much lower bit rates, resulting in smaller file sizes. Its advanced coding techniques also supports substantially higher video resolution, including 4K UHD and higher, at the same bit rates. The new H.265 standard (sometimes referred to as H.264+) is supported by the new ClearView PhoenixPlus model NVRs, as well as new IPB-series and IPD-series cameras.
Video Format: The IPD-93A can output up to 3 streams of video in H.265 or H.264 in the following resolutions: 4M (2688 x 1520), 3M (2304 x 1296), 1080P (1920 x 1080), 1.3M (1280 x 960), 720P (1280 x 720), D1 (704 x 480), VGA (640 x 480), and CIF (352 x 240). The frame rate for the main stream is 1-25/30 fps at 4M, 1-25/30 fps @ D1 for the sub stream, and 1-25/30 fps @ 720p for the third stream. The bit rate for H.265 is 14 to 9984 kbps, while the bit rate for H.264 is 24-10240 kbps.
Minimum Illumination: The IPD-93A can give you a clear, bright picture in low light. The camera is equipped with 3 large infrared LEDs surrounding the lens. The minimum illumination for color is 0.03 Lux @ F1.4. With the IR LEDs on, the camera has a 165' (50m) range in 0 Lux.
Motorized Lens: The lens is motorized, allowing it to be adjusted for focal length (zoom), focus, and positioning. The lens can be zoomed from 2.7mm to 12mm (4x), panned 0° to 355°, tilted from 0° to 65°, and rotated from 0° to 355°. The minimum focus distance is 11.8" (0.3m). You will need to remove the dome cover to access the manual zoom controls.
Picture Flip/Mirror: You can overcome mounting orientation difficulties by electronically "flipping" or rotating the image so the picture in the monitor is easier to view. You can view the images on the monitor as normal (0°), or "flip" it 90°, 180°, or 270°. You can also flip the image 180° horizontally to view a mirror image of the video feed.
Privacy Masking: If there are areas in the camera's view that you do not wish to show, you can use privacy masking to obscure those areas. Up to 4 areas can be selected for privacy masking.
Motion Detection: You can set up specific areas, such as hallways, doors, windows) for detecting motion. Up to 4 rectangular motion detection zones can be configured, so that when motion is detected in one of the zones, an alert can be sent.
Local Video Storage: The camera contains a slot for an optional microSD card for recording and local storage. You will need to remove the dome cover to access the slot. A microSD card with a capacity of up to 128 GB (SDXC) can be used.
Vandalproof: The IPD-93A is designed to resist tampering or vandalism, and carries an IK10 rating. The metal camera housing is completely enclosed, and requires a special tool (included) to remove the dome cover. The mounting screws are tightened from the inside of the enclosure.
Camera Adjustments: You can make the following adjustments to the camera:
- Gain Control: Auto, Manual
- White Balance: Auto, Natural, Street Lamp, Outdoor, Manual
- Day/Night: Auto (ICR), Color, B/W
- Backlight Compensation: BLC, HLC, WDR (120dB)
Installation: The IPD-93A is designed to be mounted on a wall or ceiling with 3 screws (supplied). The power and video cables can be routed through the ceiling/wall by drilling an additional hole, or routed to the side through the groove in the camera base. A self-adhesive mounting template is included. The camera has an operating temperature range of -22°F to +140°F (-30°C to +60°C).
