AKG D5 Stage Pack
Includes D5 handheld dynamic vocal mic, stand and accessories
Our take on the AKG D5 Stage Packby Crutchfield's Alexander Hrabe
A tradition of excellence
Over sixty-five years ago, AKG began making microphones that were quickly embraced for their exceptional quality. Today, AKG's emphasis on continuous innovation keeps them in the forefront of microphone technology. If sound quality is your top priority, AKG microphones can make the difference between a good show and a great show.
This money-saving package includes a D5 dynamic vocal microphone, a zip carry bag, a 16-foot XLR cable, a microphone stand, and an H61 mic stand adapter. The D5 dynamic microphone gives your vocals the power and clarity to soar above the mix, even on the loudest stage. Its frequency-independent supercardioid polar pattern ensures sensitivity to your voice, not to the sound beside you or behind you. A shock mount on the D5's transducer reduces handling noise, and an integrated windscreen filters out wind and breath noise, giving your voice the presence it deserves.
Built like a tankLive gigs can be rough on your equipment, but the D5's solid, zinc alloy die-cast body and spring-steel wire mesh grille shields the transducer against physical damage and high sound pressure levels. This mic may be sensitive, but it's no wimp!

Overview: The AKG D5 is a dynamic hand-held microphone designed for lead and backing vocals. It has a supercardioid polar pattern that provides the maximum gain before feedback. The D5 has an XLR connector, and comes with a padded storage pouch with a zippered closure and a stand adapter. This special Stage Pack edition also includes a microphone stand and a 16' mic cable with XLR connectors.
Dual Shock Mount: The microphone capsule features a dual shock mount that eliminates any kind of mechanical noise. This prevents the microphone from picking up handling or cable noise on stage during live performances. In addition, an integrated windscreen significantly cuts down on wind, pops, and breath noises.
Polar Pattern: The D5 has a frequency-independent supercardioid polar pattern that works well on stage. By suppressing sounds coming from behind, the microphone reduces the chance of feedback caused by on-stage monitors.
Rugged Construction: The D5 features a rugged zinc alloy die-cast body. The transducer element is protected by a rugged front grill made of spring-steel wire mesh that is extremely resistant to deformation caused by drops or rough treatment.
- Frequency Range: 70 Hz to 20 kHz

- Sensitivity: 2.6 mV/Pa (-52 dBV re 1 V/Pa)
- Max. SPL (1%/3% THD): 147 / 156 dB SPL
