A rubber magnet boot adds durability to this great-sounding speaker
Wet Sounds built their SW-650-W speakers to give you serious sound while you're out having serious fun on the water. These rugged 6-1/2" coaxial speakers feature closed (non-removable) grilles that resist salt and spray, so they're ideal for salt water boats or any open runabout. They'll handle up to 100 watts RMS, so you can pair them up with a marine amp for optimum performance.
Wet Sounds makes the speaker frame and grille from strong, durable Nylas™ (a combination of nylon and fiberglass), which ensures a safe home for injection-molded composite cone. The horn-flare titanium tweeter is mounted in the grille, providing further strength and water resistance, while durable rubber is used for the spider, speaker surround, and magnet boot.
These powerful speakers are built for boating, but they're also a great choice for a custom installation in any off-road vehicle that sees hard-core, all-weather use.
Average Customer Review(s):
Excellent speakers. Great sound.
I purchased a pair last year to replace a blown speaker. The sound from these speakers were by far a louder, deeper and clearer sound quality then the stock Sonys. After listen to the difference for the past few months I knew I needed to replace the two other pairs with the same Wet Sound SW-650. I have no complaints with these speakers
Pros: Great sound period. The deciding factor was the protection of the speakers covers from the SW-650 instead of the XS-650.
Cons: Spent more than I wanted to.
Well worth the price. great sound. no distortion at any level. Made my Pontoon Boat so much more enjoyable.
Pros: Well made, Great sound
Fusion 205 with clarion 600 watt 6 channel amp, 6 wet sounds speakers, 2 8" and 4 - 6 1/2". Great sound and clear. Kids can hear the music while being pulled on the tube.
I read many reviews before deciding to purchase these speakers. Every review was very positive so I went for it and I'm happy I did. Well worth the extra money!
Pros: Fantastic sound and range
These speakers are great. They are rugged and sound phenomenal at high and low power.
Pros: Rugged, stands up to water well, full enclosure protection, excellent crisp sound

Nylas Basket and Grille: Both the speaker frame and grille are made of Nylas, a composite mix of Nylon and Fiberglass, providing strength and stability. The grille is not removable.
Rubber Spider: Durability is further improved by the rubber spider Wet Sounds developed for their marine speakers.
Tweeters: The tweeters are mounted to the grilles, rather than to a pole piece, thus there is no chance of water leaking through the woofer cone.
