Our take on the CableJive dockBoss air by Crutchfield's Ralph Graves
Time to introduce that older powered speaker system with a 30-pin dock to the wonders of wireless audio. Simply plug the CableJive dockBoss air into that dock and stream music wirelessly from any Bluetooth portable device. The dockBoss air has its own Bluetooth receiver and can be used with most systems with a 30-pin dock.
Pairing with your Apple®, or Android™ smartphone or tablet is quick and easy. And you can still use your speaker system's remote to control the volume.

30-Pin Bluetooth Adapter: The Cable Jive dockBoss air turns your 30-pin iPod dock system into a wireless Bluetooth audio system. The dockBoss air features a 30-pin connector which plugs into your iPod system's 30-pin dock and features built-in Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming.
Bluetooth 2.0 (A2DP/AVRCP): The dockBoss air features built-in Bluetooth (v2.0) with support for A2DP and AVRCP. Now you can stream audio from practically any Bluetooth-enabled device to your 30-pin iPod dock system. You can even use your system's remote control to operate basic playback functions such as Play/Pause. Compatible Bluetooth devices included Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Windows smartphone, Blackberry, Windows PC, Mac computer, and other audio devices with built-in Bluetooth.

Yes it does! [ Michael Oct 23, 2015 ]
I am using it on a Altec Lansing speaker dock, which I formerly used with my Apple Ipod Nano. I am not sure about the Bose sounddock. But DockBoss should work fine with any speaker dock that has the male connector that fit into or docked the old Ipod or MP3 devices from 7-8 years ago. It Bluetooth's great with Pandora on an android. [ William Oct 22, 2015 ]
