Our take on the Inland Universal TV Stand

We really like how this universal TV stand can solve so many little hitches that our customers encounter from time to time. Need a way to elevate your TV, so your new sound bar doesn't block the screen? This'll take care of that. Want to relocate your wall-mounted TV to an entertainment cabinet, long after the TV's base has broken or gone missing? This mount makes a great replacement. And it's a great choice if you can't — or don't want to — drill into a wall.

We used the Inland stand with a new 49 inch Sony in order raise the TV above our 7 inch high center speaker on a solid TV cabinet. The center speaker now sits right behind the stand. Works great. It is much better than a wall mount for our use.

Very well made stand. I did have to call Crutchfield for assistance a couple of times, but they were friendly, helpful, and courteous. The instructions that came with the stand were not to clear. Illustrations are not enough for the average layman to follow. We need step by step written instructions along with diagrams. This, I feel would have eliminated a lot of frustration. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase from Crutchfield. They are truly the best company I have ever dealt with!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Are you sure you want to ask! The stand itself is 5-star. My mistake was ordering a slightly used stand that "may have scratches" to save money. Sounded good to me because it's going into the bedroom of a 20 year old college student and will probably get scratched the first day. The stand arrived and upon opening the box screws, washers, etc. were all loose in the box. There was also a loose 5-6 section plastic wrap the contained a lot of screws that looked like someone had just thrown it in the box in case we needed extras. Those screws did not fit any of those needed to assemble the stand. The biggest (huge) problem was that the loose screws were the ones to be used in assembly but we were missing the smallest screws, washers, spacers, and a few other random screws. I had to take screws out of the back of my 32" Sony and use them to hold the stand on the back of the tv. It's together, but may fall apart any moment due to missing screws. Final note...the slightly used stand didn't have any scratches or other imperfections just missing parts. Very, very frustrating to try to put together.

Crutchfield response on 6/7/2017 We're sorry the TV stand was missing hardware. We understand the frustration that causes. Corey, from our Customer Support team, sent out replacement hardware. Outlet items should include all essential parts, so we're reviewing our inspection process to find out what happened.

Overall the stand is sturdy and well made. The instructions are not too bad to follow but the packaging is great with all parts individually marked and catagorized.

Great stand, assembly instructions adequate but do not explain how and when to use the spacers to get the face of the screen plumb. Screen tilts excessively towards viewer. Had to call Crutchfield tech support to resolve assembly problem

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This TV stand is wonderful. I ordered it when I discovered that the moving company didn't pack the base stand to my TV. I could not mount the TV on a wall in my new home because I'm renting. I had a difficult time finding a retailer that sells TV stands. The majority of the TV accessories sold are wall mounting bracket kits. I am so glad that Crutchfield sells this item because I have purchased other items from Crutchfield and been very pleased with the quality and the great customer service. No, I am not a Crutchfield employee, nor is anyone I know. The features of this TV stand that I find most useful are the various sizes of bolts, washers and screws that enable this TV stand to adapt to any brand of TV, and the many ways to adjust how the TV is positioned.

Pros: Easy to assemble, sturdy, and adapts to different brands of TVs.

Cons: None so far

Stand for 64 lb. Plasma

William D. from Kingsport, TN on 7/26/2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Needed stand for 64 lb. Panasonic Plasma so a center channel speaker for a new surround system cold be installed. (Panasonic stand would not allow a speaker to be installed in front of the TV.) The installers were initially concerned whether this stand would hold the weight, but it is working fine. (Center channel speaker sits on the base of the stand.)

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I did not want a wall mount for my Sony 42", so this table mount stand is just what I needed. After moving my Sony to the bedroom, the Inland stand works perfectly on my dresser. It is extremely sturdy and very adjustable. As with all purchases from Crutchfield, they recommended what I needed again.

Pros: Sturdy, Looks Good, Adjustable.

Cons: None

I needed a solution for integrating a new center channel speaker into my home theater. I have an older Sony Bravia, on this stand. There is only 4 inches of clearance. I have the stand configured as in the pic. You might need to go to a wall mount. [ RONALD  Jan 22, 2018 ]
There is 8.5 inches the way mine is set up [ FERNANDO  Jan 22, 2018 ]
it depends on the size of the tv but i only have 3 inches clearance [ BRIAN  Jan 22, 2018 ]
I have a 50 inch TV on it and haven't had any trouble at all. It's sturdier than it looks. I wouldn't be worried about it tipping forward or backward if you are opening drawers on the armoir. [ RedsoxJam  Mar 07, 2017 ]
We have ours on top of a freestanding fireplace, and holds a 48" flatscreen. It's a lot sturdier than I anticipated...if your worried about safety with this stand, do not! I would recommend it. [ Amy  Mar 05, 2017 ]
This is a very stable stand. I have a 55" Samsung on mine. Hope this helps! Z [ ZACH R  Mar 05, 2017 ]
Not tippy at all. I have my 40+ Sony on mine,on my dresser. [ RONALD  Mar 05, 2017 ]
We have 42" tv on it and it is top-heavy and the tv wants to tip forward. We put a block between base of tv and the base arm in the back and it sits fine. I wouldnt trust it if you have kids or dogs bumping the furniture. [ Carlotta  Mar 04, 2017 ]
This is very stable, I have a 52 inch on it. It is a very sturdy stand, would buy again [ FERNANDO  Mar 04, 2017 ]
I have a 32" Samsung on mine and never even considered it to be tippy (stands on a dresser/console). The base is pretty heavy glass and the weight of the TV is centered over it. [ Sean  Mar 04, 2017 ]
I had a 65 lb 46" sharp AQUOS on it. I got it because it just fit our mantle depth and the Sharp mount was too deep. It leaned forward very slightly but was stable. [ Charles  Mar 04, 2017 ]
