Coaxial digital audio cable (2 meters/6.6 feet)
Our take on the McIntosh CDA2M by Crutchfield's Steve Kindig
Squeeze every bit of performance from your McIntosh digital gear
Now you can connect your McIntosh digital audio gear with the same coaxial cable the company's engineers use when they're testing and fine-tuning new products. McIntosh's coaxial digital interconnects are beautifully made, with careful attention to internal construction, as well as some of the beefiest RCA connectors we've seen. Use these cables to connect McIntosh's digital components, like disc players and DACs.
The McIntosh CDA2M uses a single large solid copper conductor coated with a thin layer of silver. Silver-plated solid conductors are excellent for very high-frequency applications, like digital audio, because those signals travel almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since the surface is made of high-purity silver, this cable's performance comes close to that of a solid silver cable.

What's in the Box:
- One 2-meter (6'-7") coaxial digital cable with male RCA connectors
Overview: McIntosh Coaxial Digital Cables use silver-plated, pure copper conductors for optimum digital bandwidth. The cable uses 2 times the normal shielding to reject outside interference, and to reduce digital noise from radiating into the analog section of your audio system. The cable is made with an 18-gauge OFC conductor, with 2.5% silver plating. The cable carries a limited lifetime warranty against failure during normal use.
Note: McIntosh Coaxial Digital cables are packaged and sold individually. This package contains one 2-meter cable.
Insulation and Shielding: The McIntosh Coaxial Digital cable features a unique layered skin-foam-skin insulation. It contains aluminum foil with two silver-plated OFC copper braid shielding. The cable has directional arrows to indicate the proper connection. Its PVC outer jacket is covered in black Nylon webbing.
Terminals: The cable is terminated with high quality gold-plated brass male RCA connectors.
- Conductor Gauge: 18 AWG
- Conductor Material: Oxygen-free copper (OFC) with 2.5% silver plating
- Outside Cable Width: 8.5mm (0.335")
