Average Customer Review(s):
bought it to hook headphones into my Marantz 7010 receiver
Very adaptable! Ha!
The hosa adapter is very good works well on my DENON avr receiver the sound is Great.
Pros: The adopter goes in tight good quality sound.
I had misplaced the original adapter that came with my new Sennheiser HD598s headphones and this looked like what I needed. When it arrived I was impressed by the audiophile documentation, i.e. TRS for Female & TRS for Male. The first thing I noticed was it was not the screw or locking type adapter that I prefer but my mini plug connected with a nice solid clicking sound. I sat down in my lounger, connected to the receiver via the Grado 15' extension cable and auditioned my new adapter. It sounded very good and at first I was very pleased but when I got up out of my chair I started to lose the connection sporadically, i.e. the audio was cutting out. All HOSA needs is to provide a beefier "click" to ensure a locked down connection. I purchased a Sennheiser adapter and did an A/B comparison and both sounded equally good.
Pros: Documented TRS to TRS. Excellent sound quality.
Cons: Poor connection to headphone mini.
The Headphones I ordered did not include these and I plan on ordering a new receiver, CD player and speakers so, I needed this adapter. [ Alice Aug 21, 2017 ]
