Why did you buy this?

Better price than Walmart and Crutchfield didn't make me sign up for an account. [ Richard  Nov 04, 2017 ]
because of the high prices of cable and the excellent reception i receive with the over the air antennae i purchased from Crutchfield. [ Mark  Dec 21, 2016 ]

Peter, It's admittedly a bit tricky. I highly recommend you have a friend assist and you should consider wearing gloves. The instructions are on the channel master support website. Just google the model. I would have included the direct link here but the form does not permit it. Basically consider the galvanized strap similar to a fabric one where you slip it through the clamp. Be careful not to tighten the clamp until you are confident you have pulled it to the proper tension. Once you tighten the clamp there's no way to loosen it to try again. Hope that helps! To add to my comment. The last step is to fold the strap back over the clamp away from the eyebolt. Then trim excess strap leaving about an inch overhang. Sorry about that! [ JOEL  May 16, 2014 ]
Unroll about a foot of strap. Slide the clamp down the strap with the tabs pointing up toward the eyebolt. Slide the strap though the eyebolt and fold over itself. Slide the clamp over the folded strap up against the eyebolt. It also helps to first use your pliers or channel locks to flatten the strap close to the eyebolt to get the clamp as close to the eyebolt as possible. Now crimp the flat part of the clamp with pliers or channel locks leaving the other flaps up. Fold the strap back over the clamp across the eyebolt. Flatten the the two flaps sticking up over the strap and and crimp. Trim off any excess strap leaving about an inch of strap after the clamp. Hope this helps. [ JOEL  May 16, 2014 ]
Put the clamp right next to the tensioning screw. I put mine too far away and it just slips on the strap when tension is applied. Slide strap through clamp, then through the tension screw, then back through the clamp. I didn't see any instructions, so I'm irritated about that, unless they fell out. I'd like to see comments from others. [ JOHN  May 16, 2014 ]
