These stainless steel isolator feet replace the existing screw-in feet of your floor-standing speakers. They give you more consistent performance and better sound by reducing vibrations and other acoustic distortions.
IsoAcoustics GAIA III speaker isolation feet

The GAIA III isolator feet give you better sound by reducing vibrations and acoustic distortions.

A stable foundation for your speakers

IsoAcoustics knows that small details matter when you're trying to squeeze every drop of performance out of your high-end loudspeakers — and the GAIA IIIs can help. These stainless steel isolator feet replace the existing screw-in feet of your floor-standing speakers. They give you more consistent performance and better sound by reducing vibrations and other acoustic distortions.

How do they work?

The GAIA IIIs isolate a floor-standing speaker from its mounting surface. This eliminates the transfer of energy from the speaker to surrounding surfaces, which means you'll hear clearer, more transparent sound. Think of it like speaker "flotation" — similar to how a car's shock absorbers work.

Easily change your speaker angle

You can adjust each GAIA III's height, which allows you to raise the front or back of the speaker. This lets you make sure that the speaker's tweeter is pointed directly at your ears for the best performance.

Use this calculator to determine which set of GAIA feet are right for your speakers.

Well-earned accolades

The GAIA isolation feet recently won EISA's (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) award for best hi-fi upgrade for 2019-2020. Read more about the award here.

Note: This package includes four isolator feet for one floor-standing speaker — you will need to purchase two sets for a pair of floor-standing speakers.

Product Research

Features

GAIA III Isolator Feet: Isolating speakers to mitigate coupling is critical, but attenuating reflecting vibration coming back from the hard supporting surface and resisting off-axis oscillations delivers great acoustic accuracy and focus. When a speaker is placed on a hard surface, secondary internal reflections result. Any artifacts of this smear that is similar in the two channels is perceived to be in the center, causing the sound stage to collapse. IsoAcoustics' GAIA III isolators eliminate this smear resulting in a larger and more natural 3-dimensional sound stage.

Note: This package includes 4 isolator feet for one floor-standing speaker. You will need to purchase two GAIA III(s) for a pair of floor-standing speakers.

Compatibility: The IsoAcoustics GAIA III is designed for a wide variety of floor-standing speakers weighing up to 70 lbs. The GAIA III replaces the existing screw-in feet of your floor-standing speakers. It comes with M8, M6 and 1/4-20 hardware to thread into the bottom of your floor-standing speaker. The GAIA III measures 1.6875" in diameter and 1.75" tall. The GAIA III are adjustable allowing you to angle the front or back of the tower speaker.

Note: Use the IsoAcoustics Calculator to determine which set of GAIA feet are right for your speakers

IsoAcoustics Patented Design: The GAIA III isolation feet incorporate IsoAcoustics' patented design principles to deliver extraordinary acoustic results. GAIA III provides a high degree of isolation while resisting lateral movement and oscillations to maintain alignment with the listening position. Internal reflections from the hard-supporting surface are attenuated resulting in greater sound clarity and openness.

Machined Metal Housing: The GAIA III isolators are finished in an elegant machined dark chrome metal housing. High-quality metal construction incorporating IsoAcoutics' design philosophy deliver extraordinary acoustic results.

Simple Installation: Remove your floor-standing speaker's existing threaded feet and install the GAIA III isolators in place of them (M8, M6, & 1/4-20 hardware included). Optimal results are heard by installing the GAIA III isolation feet with the logo facing the listening position, or rotated 180-degrees, to align the isolators with the speaker's motive forces. Now place the tower speaker into position as the GAIA III isolators will adhere to the supporting surface.

Thomas, just answered the question a minute ago. Thanks for letting us know.

Q
Can these be set to different heights to angle the front of the speakers up?
thomas  Mar 14, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Thomas, and thank you for your question. Yes, you can adjust one, two, three, or all these isolation feet to adjust the level of your speaker for better direction.
hogan  Mar 14, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Should I still use the plinths that the b&w speakers come with or connect these directly to the speakers?
phil  Nov 17, 2022
1 answer
A
These fantastic IsoAcoustics GAIA III isolation feet are a replacement for the included rubber or spike feet with many speakers, Philip. You will keep the plinth, simply replacing the basic included accessories for the upgraded performance of these isolation feet. If we use the Bowers & Wilkins 702 S3 in the link below for a visual guide you can see the plinth stays, the GAIA's just provide a much higher quality "foot" for the plinth. You get a few options for the thread pitch included, and we can source special sizes directly from IsoAcoustics if needed too! These are a great addition and decoupling the speaker from your floor makes a sonic difference!

Don't know, I use them with ProAc speakers. They are great! Contact the manufacturer, they will let you know. Good luck!

Q
Will these devices work with speaker stands?

A
I will assume that the answer is a yes! If they work with an speaker it will help to get a better sound from the speakers that are supported by the stands. I used them on my turntable and i got a huge improvement ... Highly recommended!
edwin  Dec 29, 2020
A
Don't know. You should contact the manufacturer directly.
erasto  Dec 29, 2020
A
I guess they will work if you can find a way to attach them to the speaker stands. I actually bought them for a turntable.
haroon  Dec 29, 2020
A
I can't answer that question off hand. The answer depends in part on the total weight of the stands and whatever sits on them. With devices like these you would ideally like to be in about the middle of their weight range. The thread pitch on the stands is also a factor. So your short answer is maybe.

On my subwoofer, I used the flat puck style and it worked great and is easy to install.

If you go to iso acoustic website they have a tool. When you input your speaker model it will tell you which you should order
marilyn  Jun 01, 2020
A
I don't know. It depends on the weight of the speaker. With a device like these you should ideally be somewhere near the middle of the range.

Q
I am considering IsoAcoustics GAIA III for my Tannoy Cheviots (64 lbs each). Now I'm using the Cheviot spikes into Herbie's Audio Lab Cone/Spike Decoupling Gliders on hardwood floors. I like the Gliders because they slide easily and I can play with my speaker position. Will the GAIA III's slide on hardwood floors, or are they "grippy?"

Hi Hoyt, thanks so much for your question! You have received a lot of responses from our awesome customers, but I did just want pop in and confirm that these do have a rubber padding that will make rearrangement a little more difficult than it would with a set of casters. Placing a towel underneath them when you did need to move them around would be my recommendation. Hope this helps!
jessica  Feb 13, 2020 (Staff)
A
They are a little on the grippy side; you can move them but you would have to be careful not to damage them. The bottom portion of the feet are soft to better couple with to the floor.
david  Feb 12, 2020
A
They're grippy
gregory  Feb 12, 2020
A
Hoyt, I can't answer definitely. I took a look at mine, they do have a small rubber pad on the bottom so I guess they would not slide very easily. I have them on some Klipsch reference speakers that weigh 74 lb. and are used on capet
jarret  Feb 11, 2020
A
They are grippy but easily solved with a towel
marlon a  Feb 11, 2020
A
They are "grippy"
mark  Feb 11, 2020
A
The bottoms are suction cups, so they may not be what you want. Also, at 64 lbs, your speakers are right at the weight limit of the Gaia IIIs. The Gaia IIs would be a better weight match, but you still have the suction cups. I hope this was a help.
keith d.  Feb 11, 2020
A
They are gripping however ours are in carpet. Boot 100% sure what would happen on hardwood floors
marilyn  Feb 11, 2020
A
They tend to grip a little. That gives the sound the ability to move without the influence of the floor. They will not "glue" your speakers to the floor.
kenneth  Feb 11, 2020
A
They are grippy. They did replace herbies threaded gliders and it was a nice improvement.

Q
Will the Gaia line's threaded posts work with a VPI Scout turntable and Vandersteen 2ce Sig speakers?
john  Oct 28, 2019

A
they come with several different thread sizes for different speakers and you can order more from them. I did see Upscale Audio on YouTube using the Gaia feet on a VPI turntable. I also have the VPI Prime Scout, but I haven't tried the Gaia feet on them.
michael  Nov 07, 2019
A
They come with three different sized studs; M6, 1/4-20, M8. I don't know if any of those work for you.

Q
Will these work with my Polk RTi9 there 75lbs each ?Thanks John

A
I am using them under a 40 lb turntable. For your weight I think I would go up one model.
keith d.  Jul 26, 2019
A
I'm sure they will. The screw size is standard for most speakers, and my Paradigm Signature 6 speakers weigh about the same. The isolators are rated to support even higher weight. These made a nice improvement for my system.
michael  Jul 26, 2019

YES THEY WILL I HAVE THEM ON MY MONITOR SILVER 10 SPEAKERS WHICH REPLACED MY BRASS FOOTER LOVE THEM YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT TIGHTER BASS CLARITY AND SPACIOUSNESS ALL IMPROVED AND MORE

Q
Is there a way to adjust the height of these individually to stabilize the speaker on a slightly uneven floor? My floor has some slight high and low spots to it.
mike  Dec 06, 2017
5 answers
A
Yes, three ways that I know of. The REL T-zero sub I have these on is not perfectly square, and is uneven, so I've had to think this out. (These IsoAcoustics feta are fabulous products, BTW) 1) There are 2 nuts on the bolt of each foot. They can theoretically be tightened together, or separately, at different positions to match the gap you have. I did not have luck with this, as my gap was small. 2) You can screw the nuts all the way down on each foot, and make them extra tight on corners where shorter gaps are needed, and snug-but-not-tight on the corners wiry larger gaps are needed. This has worked for my purposes so far. 3) I have bought some AudioQuest self-adhesive sorbothane in a sheet to make a little "washer" to place on one of the longer gaps. That should work... or use another material like a cheap ready-made rubber washer. This is my back-up option, and have no doubt it would work also with a washer of the correct thickness.
heath r.  Dec 09, 2017
A
They are individually adjustable.
james  Dec 09, 2017
A
Mike - Sorry, but no, there isn't a way to adjust the height of the GAIA III isopods. You could possibly not screw them into the base of the speaker all the way but that wouldn't give you much more height. More importantly they aren't designed for that and might lose their isolating properties. Suggest you contact IsoAcoustics and ask for recommendation. I had asked them for recommendations for my speakers and they were helpful.
michael  Dec 08, 2017
A
Yes! The threaded post can vary as to how far in or out you lock it into place, but I wouldn't think you have more than about a quarter of an inch "wiggle room" because you want to be sure the post is in far enough for stability reasons.
terrel  Dec 08, 2017
A
Yes, each isolation device has a threaded screw with thin knurled nuts that are adjustable up to about 1/2" on each one.
